The Walls Between Us: A Borderland Love Story by Kate McGahan

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I’ve got to say it’s a fantastic read. Kate knows how to get attention and hold onto it.

Sarah comes from New York to start something new. Things are great and things are looking up. This follows her as well as three other characters on their journey. The quote I choose for Sarah is: “What am I doing here with him in my bed? This man I hardly know?”

Benito is from Mexico and now lives in Arizona. He meets Sarah and things are great. A friend calls upon him when she is in need of help. The quote I choose for Benito is: “My mother keeps warm by putting something across her lap.”

This is a fantastic read and I do highly recommend it. Kate draws a reader in with the wonderful story and doesn’t want to let them go.
