The Dog Thief and Other Stories by Jill Kearney is a collection of animal stories that will warm but also break your heart. This collection of stories is inspired by Jills heart and life experiences and it is easy to see in her writing. It is a story of animals that will continue to love no matter how broken their owners are. The animals themselves are the true heroes and heroines of these stories. I must admit that I had a lot of emotions when reading this collection and they stayed with me long after I finished the book.
