Wade hits it out of the park with this one! This author is an automatic one click for me – this book was a page turner from beginning to end. Gunner and Lacey were a couple of fantastic characters to follow. Wade always has just the right amount of suspense and drama and romance unfold. This book is a must read!

Gunner (Eidolon Black Ops #6) by Maddie Wade was a great 5 star read.
I was excited to finally get Gunner’s story.
This was a heart wrenching story, especially when we learn more about why Gunner made the choices he did. Lacey originally met Gunner when the Eidolon team saved her from her ex. When they come face-to-face again you can feel the connection between them.
Can Lacey and Gunner move forward from their pasts and have a HEA? Will the Eidolon team forgive Gunner for his choices?
Overall this was a great read. My emotions were all over the place. We get suspense, drama, action and so much more. All of the characters added a great element to the story. We also get lots of twists and turns. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. This can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading from the beginning so you can meet all of the characters. Four Stars
Mythical Alliance is six books of fantastic fantasy by Claire Luana. This book is great because we get a complete story that is broken down in six shorter reads. This is not my first book by Ms. Luana, but it is my new favorite. I enjoyed the storyline, it was full of action, adventure and mystery. I was hooked through the whole series. The characters and world building is so descriptive, it make you feel like you are there next to Zariya, helping to solve the mystery of her father’s death. The story flowed smoothly and the witty banter had me laughing out loud. If you love a good paranormal fantasy, this is a great book for you.

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland. I’ve recently been introduced to this awesome author and I’ve enjoyed most I’ve read so far, but I have to say this is probably my favorite so far. The characters are complex and relatable, they easily pulled me right into their world. I liked getting lost in this story, it’s a wonderful coming of age story that kept me engaged the entire book. Couldn’t put this one down. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Coming of age books can sometimes make me frustrated because the characters do things that make me want to smack them but I also think that’s a true feeling on how well the story is written because you feel strongly. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

Ride with the Moonlight (Thunder on the Moor Book 2) by Andrea Matthews was amazing. This is the second book in this series and I definitely recommend reading the first book before this one. I was so excited for this book after reading the first. You find romance, time travel, fantasy, action and adventure along with so much more. This book continues the journey of Maggie and Will, but can they stay safe? How will things work during their journey together? I became so hooked on this book, the way the author brings it to life is amazing, and then the characters no matter who they are, are amazing!!! I love this and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Hungry Business: A Short Story by Maria DeBlassie. I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure what I’d think of this short story but I mean come on that cover was definitely intriguing and even though it’s short this author still brought the A game. This was a great in between book to spend a little time with. Characters had no problem drawing me in no matter how short this story was. It’s a great read and I think it’s definitely worth a read by all who love reading. Well written and paced nicely which may seem silly since it’s short but the author didn’t rush through it and it shows. Four stars and highly recommended.

Black Dog Rising by Kat Caulberg. This was a new author for me and I’m definitely looking forward to more from her. This book was packed with adventure, mystery and drama. When it comes to this genre of books I have to be really in the mood but I found myself easily drawn into this storyline and couldn’t put it down. The characters are complex and well developed, they captured my attention straight away and I couldn’t stop. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Even with so much happening it never feels bogged down and heavy. I loved going on this adventure with the characters and I’m excited to see more from this author. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

The author really has a way with words and creative story worlds. I completely fell into this story so easily which surprised me a bit because sometimes I find it hard to focus with this genre but that definitely wasn’t a problem here, I found myself completely lost in it’s pages and what an adventure it was to be on. The characters are complex and well developed. This set is full to the brims with action, mystery and so much more. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. “Hungry Business: A Short Story” by Maria DeBlassie earns 5 out of 5 stars. This fun, captivating short story is sure to draw you in. It is horrifyingly relatable to anyone who has ever played the dating field and keeps hitting those foul balls. The narrator is fresh and the writing is packed with animated imagery to keep you hooked. This story is a workout; you will be using all the senses to digest this one. My only complaint is that it isn’t longer. Loved it.

At Once by Mindy McKinley is book two of the Adams Brothers series. I couldn’t wait to read this book after finishing Book 1 and this one leads you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Gabi is starting over after a divorce. Once she starts to heal in walks Mason and that charm of his that she just doesn’t need in her life right now. So can they work together and not let the chemistry between them take control? I love how the author puts so much detail into her work! You feel like you are there with them . You will fall in love with this story and the characters! I cant wait to see what the next one will include!

This novel hits all the emotional buttons when reading. From love to hate and a little of heartbreak thrown in. Gunner is a former military man and basically his new job is a supper bodyguard. Lacey is former model turned designer. When they meet up again, sparks fly between the two of them. When someone decides to play games with Gunner and Lacey, Gunner steps up. This novel was a very pleasant to read. The intrigue that is throughout the entire novel is just stunning and awe inspiring. You will step into a different world when reading this novel.

Where Flowers Bloom by Nikki Vale was a beautifully written romance read. I really loved the writing format and the unexpected twists and turns. It was really captivating and I felt super engaged the whole time. Kendyll has been one of my favorite heroines to follow. I loved the mystery surprise at the end! I cannot wait to read more by Nikki Vale.

This is a romantic suspense book coming in at about 300 pages. This story follows Dolan, an FBI agent, and Daughter, a psychologist. Dolan’s childhood was spent in foster care and those experiences have helped him become who he is today. He prides himself on being able to solve cases at lightening speed. Until this one. This case is so evil and utterly confusing, he needs to seek help (or is forced to) – this is where Daughter comes in. Instant attraction, but Daughter needs to keep it professional. Two years later, Daughter is forced to contact Dolan for help. Both are harboring secrets – will they bring them closer or tear them apart?

Gunner: Eidolon Black Ops Novel by Maddie Wade is an gripping story that will have you hooked from page one. This book is action packed the whole way through. What I didn’t expect however was just how emotional I found the book to be. The highs and the lows really were an emotional rollercoaster. You never quite knew what was going to happen next which made the whole book so much more interesting.
The main characters worked so well together. They were both damaged and flawed and both so in need of the other. This really is an amazing book that you would urge you to read straight away.

At All by Mindy McKinley is the third book in the Adams Brothers series. This is another excellent book in what is already such a strong series. I loved the enemies to lovers theme than this book was based on and the chemistry between the main characters. You could feel their intense connection right from the word go.
The book is pretty fast paced and is so easy to read. You easily get caught up in the story that has been so well developed. This is a great series and is one that is sure not to disappoint.

The writing style yet again gripss me from the start. I really have been enjoying this series so couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book. I love how each characters Teivel, Oren. Throw in demons with kids well wow. Through in. Rescue mission to this mix as well. Great descrtpive writing as always. You can see trouggt the eyes of the each characters as the story unfolds.

The Buccaneers of St. Frederick Island is such a cute children’s adventure story! This is an upbeat, dramatic, mysterious book perfect for all ages! I absolutely loved it myself, and wholeheartedly recommend reading it for yourself! This is my first book from this author, and I was entertained throughout the entire thing. I recommend this book for all ages honestly, and can’t wait to read more of this author’s work!

What happens when the demon falls in love with a demon hunter? A hella good story.
Naomi Valkyrie has become one of my favorite authors. I can really count on her for a really awesome story. Her attention to detail is out of this world. She describes the scene you are reading about and you can literally paint the picture in your mind’s eye. Her stories pull you in from the first page until the very last page in the book. If you love her attention to detail, you’re going to love her character development. I felt a connection to Teviel the demon. Then there is Oren the demon hunter. Oren is coming to terms with his demon hunter lineage. It appears as if these two should be worlds apart but their chemistry tells a whole different tale. It is a fast moving story with a lot of action. I could not put it down until I was finished with the book. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. You will not be sorry.
A Sun So Bright is the third book of the Reigning Hearts series from KG Fletcher. These books can be read or listened to completely as standalones or together in a series. I have to say I struggled with this one but only for a bit. The main female lead, Fiona, is not one that I wanted to like. Darn it all to hades though by the end Fletcher had me feeling all the feels and completely hooked on her as a person. She really grew into a woman I completely never thought possible in those early chapters. I am so glad I stuck with it and was able to see how this sweet little love story played out. I am excited to see what the next book in the series will bring. I am sure it will be its own sweet soul female lead with a completely new spin just like this one and the books before it.

The Buccaneers of St. Frederick Island by Linda Maria Frank

This was a sweet and fun young adult, children’s read that can be enjoyed at any age, and shared with your children alike. I love books that are all encompassing with the content. This is full of emotions, adventure, coming of age undertones and more! We get to follow along as a group of children set out to right the wrong they were done when money they raised for a good cause has gone missing. They put together their own sleuthing club to investigate and the adventure takes off from there. I shared this with my kids over a few evenings before bed, at 84 pages it really is a short fun shareable read for bedtime. I look forward to seeing what else is available from Linda Maria Frank!

This is a great paranormal story that I really enjoyed. I was dragged into the story from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. The characters are well written and even though the subject is paranormal you can actually imagine it happening because of how well the author paints the picture and builds the story.
Emma is running away from her ex and she finds herself in a small village being stalkered by an unknown person. Why is that person after her. She feels all alone until she is rescued by a handsome man called Toby.
Toby runs a local Inn which has a history. How much of that is real and how much is stories remains to be seen. The connection between them is strong and is felt immediately but why? Why is the connection between them so strong? What does it mean?
With both Emma and Toby having pasts and keeping secrets their journey to unravel them all leads them on a great adventure you won’t be able to put down.

Gunner is the sixth book in Maddie Wade’s Eidolon Black Ops series. It picks up on established characters and gives them a chance to take centre stage. Gunner and Lacey first met when Lacey was kidnapped by her ex and the Eidolon team rescued her. Since then, Gunner has left Eidolon and the relationship between him and his former brothers is strained. But there’s a chance he could repair the broken trust, and with Lacey moving to England to be closer to Skye and Nate he has plenty of reasons to try.
This is a fast-paced and emotional book. Gunner and Lacey have both been hurt by past experiences and, as the trust between them grows, are able to open up and start to heal. They also have present threats to face, getting tangled up in each other’s dangerous lives.
As well as all the danger and action, this book is very romantic. At times it verges on over-the-top but it works well to balance the darker aspects of the book. There’s a scene early on where Gunner is playing the piano and hears Lacey joining in playing the same piece on a different piano which particularly got me feeling a bit emotional!
Wade does a good job of filling in the backstory for any readers who start with this book, but it really makes more sense to start at the beginning of the series and read the books in order so you can see the characters developing and the larger plotlines develop.
For me, this is a five-star read. If you like an action-packed romance with complex, interesting characters this series should definitely go on your tbr list!

This is a short story nd my first by this author. Gunner life has changed dramatically as his sister when a choice changed this Milla. Gunner found himself working for a team who he felt trustworthy then to bertay him. Whislt undercover getting informed for Elidon he realise his true feelings. I would recommend reading the other books in the series before this so you have more of a connection to the characters.

The Buccaneers of St. Frederick Island by Linda Maria Frank is a great story for young readers.
Set on St. Fredericks Island, a group of kids raise money to buy toys for children. But, when the money is stolen the group form a club called the Buccaneers and set to work solving their first mystery.
This story has everything you need. There’s plenty of action and adventure, and it was much funnier than I had expected making it even more enjoyable. There are strong friendships, characters, and when you throw in a secret club and a mystery to be solved, there is so much to like about this book. Perfect to stir up imaginations!
This was such a cute read! I really liked the male role in this novel! I think normally writers are lead to believe women want to read about a rugged, rude and dominant male but I enjoyed how he was so secure with himself but was patient with her! Would definitely recommend!
I also really enjoyed the princess and the pauper take it had and how we’re so consumed with what society says about us. Also, i think it’s interesting that her friends are the judgemental ones, despite them coming from a family that is ‘well educated’. I think it shows a lot about that phrase and how being of high class doesn’t mean anything if you’re not a nice person.

I really enjoyed this but there were a lot of things that were really bothersome. I felt like Jake was very domineering but he does get better as the book goes on. Sandy started out as a badass woman who didn’t need a man, but becomes more insecure as the book went on. I did enjoy the whole family drama aspect of the book and I would definitely read the about the other brothers of the Clark family!

This is a kids story reminiscent of the famous five with the same scenario of a group of eighth graders investigating a mystery, but this is set on St Fredericks Island in 1947 and the kids are the Buccaneers, so named after the famous pirate Jon Buccleigh who lived there in the past. The mystery they want to solve is who has stolen their collection money for homeless kids in NYC which they worked so hard to raise after it was stolen from the Vestry.
Sprocket is the leader of the group and so she is trying to write a secret note under the watchful eye of one of the nuns who run the school, just as she is working out how to hide it and the fact she hasn’t done anything of what she was meant to be doing, the fire alarm sounds for a drill and the evidence remains hidden for now. Later on, when Sprocket gets home, things take a turn for the worse when she finds out that their meeting place, a shack on the beach, has been burned down in the middle of the day, fortunately nobody was hurt, but a message needs to be passed through their secret system to tell the other Buccaneers the news, she wants to go and see it, so her mum goes with her and Frank (another buccaneer) joins her there. Someone else is there as well, a friend of theirs who lives in another of the beach shacks, it turns out he has been doing a bit of investigating himself and has found something, but needs to do some further questioning to find out what it’s relevance is.
On the way back fo Sprocket’s house, talk turns to the local newspaper and the articles both currently in it and plans for articles in the future, but as soon as they get there, something is wrong, it looked like someone had broken in, so when Frank is chased out of the house, it is a surprise to them all. As they lock up the house, talk turns to a Native American woman who has started to write a column about her healing arts, it turns out that she has had a threatening letter since starting the column and is a little worries, it turns out her daughter is in the same year as the Buccaneers, but not in the same class as Sprocket.
With this extra layer of intrigue added onto the stolen money and burned down beach hut, the Buccaneers agree to meet in an old cave to discuss what they need to do next and how they are going to do it, however, as they continue the investigation, they have no idea how dangerous it is about to become or how many people are actually involved, especially when the native american’s lady’s daughter disappears. Will the Buccaneers be able to solve the mystery and find out where the missing money and girl are, never mind who was behind burning down the beach hut, or are they in over their heads?
This is a mystery full of intrigue, danger and investigative espionage and even though it is a book for kids, adults will enjoy it as well.

Linda Gets Her Groove Thing – Audio Book

This is the second audio book that I have listened to by this author and again I thought it was a really good and highly entertaining listen, it was quirky and had so many laugh out loud moments. The things that happened to Linda really did make me laugh, there were definitely some things that I was not expecting either. Great to see Dee and Bonnie again too!
The things that go on in that Green Room as so funny and the author has created some amazing characters that I loved listening about. I love the uniqueness of the storylines and find that I am fully invested in the story the whole way through.

Black Dog Rising is a dark, romantic fantasy. Emma is in rural England fleeing her ex and ends up in a town called Ninestone Downs. Not everything is as it seems; magic is very much alive in this quaint town. She ends up at the Black Shuck Inn where she meets Toby Deering. The chemistry between them is undeniable but Toby carries some heavy secrets. Living with a four hundred year old curse, he tries to avoid Emma, if only to protect her. It seems their fates are intertwined. As much as he puts her in danger, he’s the only one that can protect her.
The book is well written and the author does a wonderful job of integrating Fae lore and English Shuck folklore into the story. The characters are well rounded and I love the way Toby uses older terminology in his speech patterns. There is plenty of mystery and danger to keep you interested in this story. The only thing that frustrated me was the fact that it took Emma so long to learn exactly what was going on. It’s the first book that I have read from this author and I enjoyed it, I believe you will too.

This story is about Emmeline Aubrey and what happens when she arrives in Ninestone Downs after escaping from her ex boyfriend and his murderous ex wife’s ghost. She moved continents to be with him, but after everything, she had to leave in order to be able to survive, but with only a small suitcase and what she hurriedly grabbed on her way out, she has nowhere to go and nobody to help her, that is until a mystery stalker appears and follows her all around the town. In a last ditch effort to lose his, she tries to escape through an alley, but it is a dead end, so as she slips into a doorway and after shouting loudly asking what the stalker wants and that she has called the police, she prepares to attack the would be attacker with her shoe, but when the door behind her suddenly opens, she falls down the stairs and into a mountain of human flesh, who proceeds to scare off her pursuer before asking her if she is ok and to explain what had just happened.
As her rescuer helps to clean up her new injuries and tactfully not ask about the other ones, she asks about the name of the pub she is in and his name, Toby, that is until he touches her arm and something like electricity passes between them, but also something more than that, she is not sure if he feels it too, but when he brushes it off, she is sure that he hasn’t. When she asks about an available room, he appears hesitant but when she says she has nowhere else to go, he has space for one night, the room is tiny, but at least she has one night to make her plans and figure out what she will do next. After a nap, a nightmare and a shadow she swears looked like the shape of a woman in her room, she realises that she had left all her toiletries and phone charger in London and so decides she needs to go out and get some, so she finds the barman who offers to take her after she has paid for her room. After getting the things she needed, they stop to get something to eat and as Toby, asks her more about herself, she avoids the questions with evasive answers until he sees someone and chases after them, leaving Emma alone, but when an old man startles her and then asks her to go see the puppets with him, she feels like she is being pulled after him, again until Toby finds her and breaks whatever hold he has on her.
The relief she feels is unusual, but the strangest thing happens when she tries to think about what has just happened, but putting it down to exhaustion after the last couple of days, she ignores it, the thing she cannot ignore is what happens every time her skin comes into contact with Toby’s, she knows he feels it too, but he makes excuses, as does she, however, as time progresses, more unusual things happen to her and Toby keeps on rescuing her, they cannot deny what is happening, but will Emma be able to figure out what is happening and who her mysterious stalker is, or will she be lost to the enchantments which seem to swirl around the small village and why is Toby keeping his distance when she knows their connection is growing stronger? The only way to find out the explanations and solve the mystery is to read along and find out with them.
