My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have not read book 1 of this series, but that did not stop me from reading the second, it is pretty much a standalone. It is filled with science-fiction, supernatural elements and has action and adventure in abundance. A group of shifters led by Jack and Cash, are up against a cyberterrorist called The Black Queen, who is a threat to the tech-world, she is trying to blend technology into a supernatural realm. Jack and Cash are allies with The White Raven. How they all stop the Black Queen forms the crux of the story. It is a very gripping adventure.
I do want to dig in more about The White Raven, so I will go and read Book 1 now before I put my hands on Book 3.

Alpha Bet Guys Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Jules Herbert

Alpha Bet Guys Boxed SetAlpha Bet Guys Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Alpha Bet guys Boxed set by Phoebe Alexander, well what can i say but you really have to read this fantastic collection of Fun, witty and heart warming stories. I mean who doesn’t like reading about gorgeous Alpha males and the women they meet who show them they might be alpha but love wins out in the end. Each story contains a bet between the group of five friends. i know, Men right? they will bet on anything and i mean anything.

A Hole…. funny guy Ace connects with beautiful bank teller Ella, who at the beginning thinks she just might help his friends to win their bet against him. With a some fun twists and turns along the way I wonder who really wins this bet.

The Big O…. Nerdy (and probably my fav, I mean who doesn’t love a sexy Nerd) Ozzy falls for equally Nerdy Hazel. Sweet Ozzy vows to help gorgeous Hazel with something very special but can he do that and keep his friends off his back about the bet they made with him.

Need the D…. Dante and Julia… this felt like an Alpha meets Alpha story to me at first but then we are shown the true softer sides of both Dante and Julia… this story takes a very unexpected turn for our leading man Dante, who gets a little mixed up about his bet…or is it a bet at all? you will have to read this fab story to find out!!

Hard F….. Fox and Jenna….Oh this was the story i was waiting for… Fox is most often the one to start all the bets so to see him finally get a bet put before him was a treat! Is Fox capable of learning more about what “real” life is about? I must admit though I started this story wanting to see him get his butt kicked but it didn’t take long for Ms Alexander to have me totally on team Fox for the win! I fell for Fox and His Sweet Jenna… i wanted their story to have a happy ending. To me that is one of the signs of a good writer when you can change someones opinion of a character.

Ride the C…. Cruz and Mia…the world of fashion and models can be so superficial and in this heart warming story you get to see the untold side of this so called glamorous lifestyle through the eyes and hearts of two characters who are at a point in their journeys where they need to make decisions…can they make them together though is the big question?

This was an excellent read by Ms. Thorne! I enjoyed reading what was happening to Ransom and his team at the same time as Erika’s timeline was playing out. (Admittedly, I had to go back and read book 1 because I read this one first!) Their story is so intertwined that you knew what was happening to the other as you read. Her characters are people that you would definitely want to be friends with and have on your side should the end of the world happen!

I can’t wait to see how everything ties up in the end and how their past lives influence what happens!

When you are in the National Guard and a new recruit shows up and you have an attraction to each other but when something happens within their civilian life things get serious.

Officer Summers is a Boston cop but he is also a Sergeant in the National Guard from his background he needed something to ground him so law enforcement was the most logical answer.

Jordan needs money to invest within her dance business so the best answer was to join the National Guard. While working she runs into the sexy sergeant and feels the instant chemistry they have between them.

When something happens within her civilian life and in walks Officer Summers to investigate can Jordan keep her feels under wraps for the her sanity or will the hunky officer breaks into her heart.

This is the first story I have read by this author and oh my what a story this is, the well written story draws you into this brilliant suspense and a health dose of sexual tension. The story twists through and keeps you on your toes with each page read.

The chemistry between the two main characters is electric and jumps off the page with the electrical charge running through and to top it off you have a great cliff hanger at the end. I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series.

Suspense, dominance, chemistry with a sassy dancer are the words that come to mind when I think about Relentless by Via Mari. Dereck and Layla’s story continued in a world that we were introduced to in Auctioned, highly recommend you read that book first (well, every book by Via). Will Dereck be able to protect Layla from the underworld? And I bet you wouldn’t see that twist coming either.

I’m not surprised about how this book consumed my afternoon/night of reading because every book by this author has me blocking out the world, wanting to read her words. I’m so ready for the Billionaire Bodyguards series to continue with Elusive.

When you think you have scored the best job, then you have to decide do you go with what your boss wants or not?

Adeline has just found her dream job but there is one thing she has been asked by her boss to be his “fake fiancé”. This may become difficult when the line between professional and plutonic becomes blurred and will they be able to keep their feelings separate.

I love this author, the book itself is a novella but it packs a punch which feels like a full novel. The characters are well written, developed and create a great chemistry within the story. I could not put the book down and really enjoyed the character of Adeline as she was funny and would also love to see these characters in the future.

If you love a great romance novel with a bit of a twist this is a brilliant story to get your teeth into.

I didn’t really know what to expect when I picked up this book but I thought I would give it a chance. My recommendation is not to read it as a mystery because the general story line is predictable. If you read it in the context of the character’s self- discovery, it is fairly well done. There are a few places where I had to re-read some sentences because there needed to be some editing, but it wasn’t horribly distracting from the story. I thought the theory of the character’s experience was interesting. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m not sure how else to say that, but if you read the book, you’ll know what I’m referencing.
Overall a pretty good read. I was able to get through it in an afternoon.

Wow what a story. I was a little confused at the beginning as there is so many characters in the body of one person but once you work out which character is which the  book is very enjoyable and so gripping.

It follows the life of a girl called Ann. All her life she has been medicated for sleep apnea. However that’s not what the medication was for.

When Ann stops taking the medication and loses her mum her life seems to spiral out of control. With moments of blackouts and no idea what’s happening and strange thing happening including murder. Is Ann responsible for it all? Is she a cold killer or is there more to Ann than anyone realises?

By SJ Molloy

Wow this series was such a great read. The first book gripped me from the start and as I read this book my heart broke for Lexi and her mom and brother. This family has been through some horrific stuff and the author handled these things very well. There are definitely some issues in this story that can be triggers for some people. We get to meet Lucca, the hot Italian man who wants to bring Lexi into the light. In the second book we get to watch both of these characters love grow and it is heartwarming to experience. There are also other wonderful characters in this story. Lexi and Lucca go through a lot of trials and tribulations in their relationship because there are people that don’t want them together and because both of their pasts bring its own problems emotionally for both of them. The 3rd book is Lucca’s pov and I thought it was going to be a repeat of the story but it was so much more than that. We find out some shocking things from Lucca’s past. I feel like it also gave me a better understanding of where Lucca is coming from and why he is the way he is. These books were an emotional read for me and they are full of romance, family, steamy moments, friends and more. I cannot wait to read book 4, I highly recommend this box set, you will not be able to put it down.

The Husband by P.S. DuMond a sparkling four-star read. This is number four in the 21st century Courtesan series and in my opinion its best to read them in order, as they do build and weave into a complex drama that adds to the story and anticipation allowing them both to build. Evie will pull you into her story, she will make you feel her pain, and understand why she is the person she is, overall it’s a very good story, there were just a couple of moments that left me cold and left me wanting.

Love by Design by Effie Kammenou a five-star read that will simply make you fall in love. This is number two in the Meraki series and they could be read as stand-alone, as they compliment each other and tell the deeper family story, but don’t spoil. But having said that I did read them as a series, and I whole heartedly plan on reading the third instalment as soon as I am able. This author has a way of bringing the places the characters visit alive, its so much more than a romance between two great characters. This is a deeper story one filled with history, passion and sadness, each character has faced their own darkness and the fight each day, but when you have the strength of Yiayia in your circle, well then you have the strength of the world. This was simply a divine story that will make you fall in love with travel, magazines and love itself.

I enjoyed this book. This is the fourth book in this series and I highly suggest reading the previous three books to help your enrichment of the series and the characters. I enjoyed this book just as much if not more than the previous books. I was pulled into the story by the characters. They bring the story to life on each page. Luca and Lexi are back in another fast paced page turner. Lexi’s past has come to her present life and it came crashing. The past is looking for revenge and justice. Will Luca be able to protect them? What will happen when she comes face to face with her past? These characters are strong and just make the story for me. I loved them in the first books and I loved them in this one. Twists and turns and action, what more could you ask for. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens to Luca and Lexi this time.

Just not sure what more I can write in a review that explains how much I love reading this author’s books. I feel like a broken record because I’ve said it all before in reviews for her other books.

I loved loved loved this one. Dereck had his hands full with Layla who was determined to save her sister, and let nobody stand in her way. I love a dominant leading man and a sassy hard to handle tough as nails leading lady. This makes for some of my favorite reading. This addition sits up in my favorites of all these series. Although I’ve loved them all, I have some favorites. I can’t imagine going into any of these books without having read all of the series leading up to this one. The suspense, heat, mystery, danger, and edge of your seat reading is what makes this author a forever one click for me.

Can not wait for what else is to come!

I enjoyed this sweet romance story. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed every book I have read by her. One of the things I enjoy most is her ability to pull me into the story from the beginning and her attention to details give a realistic feel. This book is no different. This is a well written short story that I read in one day. It is a story about Hannah who was dumped a couple of days after Valentines Day. It is a day that holds nothing but bad memories for her until Kyle walks into her life. Will he change her feelings about this day? What does fate have in store for them? I enjoyed watching the characters grow throughout the story. They made the story come to life on each page and just made the story for me. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up when I come across her books. Her stories are fun, entertaining and fast paced. MiSix Mathilda has found herself in another case of mystery. She was tasked with finding Lady Annabelle. This takes her on a journey of animals and leaves questions about sexual things. As her and her partner get more into the case, they find a terrorist connection. Will these two cross a line? Will they continue to serve their queen or will lives take them in different directions. The characters brought the story to life on every page. I enjoyed the mystery part of the story that kept me asking questions as well. I highly recommend this book.

Queen Of My Heart (Life Won’t Wait Book 1) by Nikki Lynn Barrett – Review by Lizzie Chapman Gough

Queen Of My Heart (Life Won't Wait Book 1)Queen Of My Heart by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nikki Lynn Barrett is one of my favourite authors and I especially feel this was justified with this novel. This novel was brilliantly written, and the characters were relatable and interesting. Quinn Winters is a daytime soap and straight to TV movie actress whose first love is country music. After one TV death too many she turns her back on acting, moves to Nashville and tries her hand at making it as a country singer. Tucker McGinnis has been labelled as not only the sexiest country music singer but also the ‘next king of country’. His second album however has flopped in the record labels eyes. Pairing with Quinn to launch her career and save his own, they help each other out in more ways than one. Barrett writes her characters story in such an intriguing and believable way that you feel like you could be hearing about your favourite singers’ lives.

All she wants to do is be able to teach dance and own her own dance studio. So what does she do? She joins the Army National Guard. There she meets Sergeant Grant Summers who will later become Officer Summers. Fast forwarding, when back in Boston after her time is up, Jordan has a break in at her studio and low and behold…Officer Summers is on the scene to investigate. These two reunite and really hit it off. Then Jordan realizes that she has someone who is stalking her due to many “incidents.” Of course, Grant is there to help find her stalker and to help keep her safe. These two have a boat load of chemistry and balance each other out really well. There is a ton of twists and turns that keep you fully engaged the whole book. Ready for Flynn: Part 1 is is the first book I have read/listened to by K.L. Shandwick. This amazing rockstar romance had me hooked in the first chapter. This author brought the characters to life. I felt I could relate to Flynn, Valerie and most of the other characters in this story. When I thought things couldn’t get worse, I was seriously thrown for a loop.
