A great start to what is looking to be an awesome series. Strong characters and a family that I can’t wait to get to know. This is a sweet romance story built within a well developed story line about pride, trust and family values. I connected with Eric and Susan straight away and I loved the setting. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

When you are caught in a world of total control and no way out, can a knight in tainted armour rescue her from this dark world?
Layla is an independent woman, she takes no crap but there is a secret which haunts her but can she survive in this world or will it all come crashing down around her.
Dereck is part of an elite security team but when he sees Layla he can not get her out of his head, but can they both forge ahead and because friends as well as lovers.
This story is full of drama and intrigue which the chemistry of these two characters jump off the page and with all the tension and underlining story makes this story fly off the page. These characters are well developed and full of passion and dark secrets which are brilliantly to read and discover. As this is in a series it would help to read the other books but this can be read as a independent story but to be fair who would not read this series.

When you find and get the job of your dreams and when you realise that your boss is the guy you have been dreaming about, can live be that bad?
Mia has just landed a great job within the publishing world but is finding the road rocky with her new boss, although she has admired him from a far for years but now that they are working closely she is seeing another side to him and she is not sure whether she likes it.
Nick has decided years ago his heart needs to be protected, so when he meets and starts having feelings toward Mia he reacts and this puts a strain on their relationship in work but as they start on a journey they are discovering that they both have hidden feelings and secrets.
I enjoyed this story it was full of twists, turns and finding yourself in the most difficult circumstances. The characters of Mia and Nick compliment each brilliantly and I love characters that are little flawed and with the story flowing through it makes a wonderful, turn paging novel.
This is not the first book I have read by this author and will not be my last.

This is not a time period I am familiar with but I found it entertaining and with some twists I did not expect. I appreciate the insinuations of violent acts or relations between people but without the details that I don’t want to read. The characters were easy to follow and their actions made sense. The political structure was somewhat familiar but not the same as we know in medieval times, for example, so it was a nice change. Some portions of the story I had figured out earlier on in reading, but there were a handful of twists thrown in that provided a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the focus on family and how things come full circle. Overall, a great read!

This story was very entertaining. The kids of great paranormal monsters are not so great. It gives you a view of the what if. These kids are not as amazing as their parents but they’re amazing in their own way. I enjoyed the story for the most part. There were some moments that I was felt could be better. The kids were good characters. I think the plot needed some work. The base was there with the characters it was just a meh story line. I feel like these kids could do anything. Would love to see them brought back with a different story. Overall I would definitely read from these authors again especially about these kids.

I found this book to be a different read. It was very entertaining and had its moments of excitement. The author does now how to place the characters in that perfect situation to deliver that bang. I liked the characters. The female lead wasn’t like most but she definitely came close to it. I thought the story line was good. That question of who comes first Queen and country or love? The world that the author created was beautiful and different. Definitely somewhere I can picture. I really liked the search for Lady Annabelle. The chemistry was nice between Tillie and Abdul. Overall all interesting story.

I love finding new authors and new series. This is the first book by this author I have read and I was not disappointed. I thought that the author had a refreshing plot and story. I also really found myself getting lost in this book. I could not put it down.
I felt as though I was right there in the action of the book and I could feel the emotions that the characters were feeling. I really like fantasy sci fi type books and stories and this really helped to fill that. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

This author is one to put on your reading list for sure. This is one of those books that makes you become animated as you read. It shows you’re hurt and you can’t help root for the end of the world
I thought this book was a good one to read over the weekend and this is an author that I never hesitate to pick up because their books are always interesting, fun and entertaining. This one was fast paced and I was pulled in by the awesome main characters. There was some twists in this book and I was intrigued by the mystery the main characters were in the middle of and how they handled many of the crazy situations. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! HAPPY READING!

Ok…so this series just keeps getting better and better! The Husband (21st Century Courtesan) is Book 4 in the series written by Pamela DuMond. This series from the start had me hooked. Evie is an Empath, who get paid quite handsomely by very rich men to be with her. She’s able to solve their problems and she is very good at what she does. This book is a continuation from the first three books in the series. I highly recommend reading this series from the very beginning. There is a lot of circumstances that you need to know when reading this book and it makes more sense to read it from the first book. However, in this book Evie is brought on by a variance of feelings. Grieving, Loss, and Sadness to name a few when the love of her life has passed away. I absolutely love this book and this entire series. It definitely has original content. This isn’t something that I have read before, which makes it so much better. Everything about this book is amazing right down to the characters and all of their stories. I sincerely recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from this author!

This is the next book in the Jake Wolfe series and I couldn’t put it down. Jake and Sarah are in Key West for a wedding. Jake finds out that death threats have been sent to some of his buddies. While on their way back to their boat there is a huge dangerous twist.
Will Jake and Cody be able to solve the mystery? Who is after his buddies and why?
Overall this was a thrilling read that had several twists and turns. The author does a great job with his writing and pulls you right in. You can read this book as a stand alone but I highly suggest you start from the beginning. All of the secondary characters were great. OMW I absolutely fell in love with Layla!!! She has so much spunk and sass. Poor Dereck had his hands full with her (and not just figuratively). Relentless is my first book by this Author and also the first one of this series that I’ve read. So it can be read as a standalone but I’m definitely going to read the first 3 books because the characters overlap in the books. This was a perfect introduction to a new Author for me!! She has an amazing writing style (which I hope transfers to her other books) The drama, action and sexiness of this story shines through the characters. I’m really excited that to dive into the other books

Montgomery continues to be a one click author for me and this entry into the cozy mystery genre was a grand slam home run. Everything about this book was sheer perfection. From the sassy and quirky heroine to the setting to the pacing to the character development, every component of this book just complimented the next. This quick light hearted whodunit will leave you smiling and wanting more. If you are looking for a clean, fun, cozy mystery to curl up with, you have found a winner. Betrayal at the Beach (Dangerous Curves Book1) by K.L Montgomery is a fun, entertaining cozy mystery. Sunshine Baker is the Young Adult librarian in her hometown of Bryce Beach. Sunshine is tasked with planning the annual Friends of the Library Gala this year. The Gala is very important to the library because funds have been cut and the Library needs all the help it can get from this fundraiser. Of all the possible things Sunshine had worried about happening at the Gala, theft of the money raised and of the 400 year old bible that was brought over by the town’s founding members at the Gala wasn’t one of them. When Sunshine finds out that the police think one of the library employees planned the theft, she vows to find the culprit!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I love that Sunshine and her librarian friends are women with curves. We all come in different shapes and sizes and this book shows that everyone is important.

K.L. Montgomery is an amazing writer. I have read her books before and I knew I would like this book as well. Her plotline is a simple mystery. She makes you feel like you are a part of the story. Her characters are simple but complex at the same time. Sunshine is the librarian for the small town of Bryce Beach. She was in charge of finding the person(s) involved in robbing the library. She is a bit nervous because her job depends on her finding the culprits. Can Sunshine and her squad find the stolen items? Will the robber be a colleague? I highly recommend this sweet cozy story.

K.L. Shandwick wrote this heartbreaking story. It is fast paced and easy to read. Except when you are crying your eyes out. Your emotions are about to take the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime. I love the characters and their strengths, especially Valerie. She has to be the strongest young lady I have ever read about. I would have loved a friend like her. K.L. This books was SUPER CUTE!! I read it myself before suggesting it to my 9 year old. Of course she is going to want to bake everything! But I think we will take one section at a time so I have time to covert recipes to low carb no sugar. Anyways, back to the book!!!! I LOVED IT! I think that this is a wonderful book for preteens. The story was fun and exciting. Who doesn’t like Baking and Curses?! The characters where great and super funny at times! I can totally see some of these scenes play out with the boys! I would defiantly recommend this book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read filled with some intrigue, drama, and love. All families have their secrets, but will the Walker family secrets ruin Eric’s chance at love? Eric finds out family secrets after his grandfather’s funeral that threaten to bring his world down around him. The bright spot is the caterer, a strong and determined woman that needs someone in her life as well. Glenda really stood out to me, as being a stepmother, all my kids were also treated equal.

Murder at Honeybee Lake is the second book in the Shadow of a Doubt series. Like most series, I recommend giving the first book a read before starting this one, but it can be read as a stand alone too. I enjoyed this book very much. It is very well written and kept me turning pages until the very end. Being a paranormal, crime book, the story was full of mystery, secrets, lies, deceptions, tension and most definitely surprising. Very clever plotted story and I can’t wait for the next book.

I loved this book! Though it is geared for middle school as the main character is just starting 8th grade, I enjoyed it so very much. Cat is funny and a little all over the place but that is why she is so great. She is trying to figure life out. The story pulls you in no matter your age. You just want to keep reading! I also love that there are recipes at the end of each chapter and they are not the standard recipe you find in a cookbook, they are written so a middle schooler could understand and use the recipe. What a great way to encourage kids to get in the kitchen as well as read!

I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life on each page. This is a fast paced story about Susan who has moved to start a new life and a new business. Then you have Eric who has someone trying to take his land and business. The last thing he expected was to fall in love. What will fate have in store for them? They are great characters and made the story feel realistic. This is an engaging story that kept me reading to the end. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed this shorter paranormal story. This is a newer author for me and Iook forward to seeing what is next for her. I found this book to be a well developed story that took me on an adventure of saving a community and even themselves. The characters are engaging and I had no problems relating to them. They brought the story to life on every page. I really enjoyed the adventure this MC took me on from being kidnapped to escaping to being gifted something a sorcerer is after. Will this MC figure things out before it is too late? This MC really did make this story fun and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book.

This is a well written story that the authors attention to details gave the story a realistic feel. The characters bring the story to life on each page. They are relatable and kept the story engaging. This is a story where vampires and wolves collide until one Fae interferes. What happens next you don’t want to miss. It is an adventure of finding healing, accepting the bonds and letting fate take over the romance. I truly enjoyed this story and what the characters bring to the story. Who don’t enjoy stories of vampires and wolves. I highly recommend this book. It is worth the read.

First and foremost, I want to say while this is the third book in this series, it totally works as a stand-alone in my opinion, but it will make you want to read the others if you haven’t already!!
With that in mind, this was my first Brashear novel, and I am genuinely so pleased to have found a new author to add to my “Must Read” list! I’d also never read a book set in Hawaii or the 1960’s and I wasn’t sure how I would like the combo, but Brashear is a gifted world builder, and her character development is second to none! I felt like I was walking the beach with Claudia at sunset with our platform shoes slung over our shoulders eating a shaved ice! Having never truly been to Hawaii, it was a wonderful escape into Brashear’s world, especially getting to meet the leading man!! Holy Smokes is he swoon-worthy!! Overall, the book was a true joy to read, and I did it all in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. Flirty, nostalgic, romantic, and totally what true love is all about…well if you don’t count the angst and sorrow thrown in. But that’s what makes it real and relatable. My only hesitance in giving it the 5th star was the sporadic use of Hawaiian dialect. I’ve read books written in dialect before and find it helpful/enjoyable if used very sparingly. In Try Right I felt key phrases were overused and too many characters would speak traditional English and then randomly break into dialect, so it pulled me out of the conversation to figure out what they were saying or to remember “oh yeah, another reminder we are in Hawaii,” which I hadn’t forgotten. I understand this is a very personal reading preference and others may not even notice what I’m referring to. So, know I gladly and highly recommend this to lovers of love and true romantics.
