WOW! This was an epic saga of a novel! So much happened in this book, I don’t even know where to begin. The main character, Anna, goes on an adventure (guided in a way by her ancestors) to find out the truth about her grandmother’s life and the history of her bloodline through the 20th Century. So many great characters and mysteries to be solved. Anna is a natural sleuth, and uses her own knowledge, skill, and tenacity to track down the ghosts of her grandparents and great-grandparents. The plot was layered so well that I was very invested in Anna’s journey and all of the circumstances, lives, and loves of the past that brought her to discovering the truth about her grandmother and herself. A good portion of the plot takes place in WWII Europe, touching on WWI era and closer to the present. Do yourself a favour and READ THIS BOOK!
