I just found another author to add to my favourites list. This book was amazing! I had a hard time putting it down. The cover caught my attention and I picked it up not realizing that it was part two in a series. I started reading and the characters referred to things that had already happened. It didn’t hinder the story. You can read it as a stand-alone but I personally don’t like reading series out of order. I will therefore go back and read part one. This book pulled me in from the get go. It’s full of magic, witches, demons and lots of action. The main character has some confidence issues which make her relatable. She gains confidence throughout the story. The addition of the carnival with demons dressed as clowns definitely added a creep factor. Who isn’t scared of clowns? Sometimes a series starts great but then book two doesn’t meet up to the standard that was set. Without even reading the first part, this book definitely keeps up the pace. I loved it and will be looking for more books by this author.
