My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lighting the Path: Leaning into a Hopeful Future as a Special Needs Parent by Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon is a brilliant book that is not only emotional but also insightful. The author is a special needs parent and has used her experience to try and help others navigate the tough situation they face. I have never been in the position of those this book is aimed at and yet I still found myself drawn in by the author and her own journey.
I thought the book did a great job explaining everything in simple, easy to understand terms which I can imagine is something needed in the circumstance. As the author had been through this herself everything she was writing had a greater depth behind it. This is a brilliant book that I think is a really helpful tool and is definitely worth the reading time.
