Bluestone County has become one of my favorite series to read recently. This book definitely functions as a standalone, but I recommend reading it with the other books in the series because they are all fantastic and it will give you a good feel for all of the characters and the small town. This book is Summer’s turn. Summer has returned home to reclaim her grandfather’s bar – the one that she has always dreamed of owning and running. However, she finds out that an old friend has bought it and is running it. Teddy bought the bar and he is a retired Navy Seal, he thought he could truly handle anything – but then he met Summer.
I had gotten a feel for the characters of Teddy and Summer in some of the other books I have read in the Bluestone Series, so I was really looking forward to reading this one. I loved the dynamic between Teddy and Summer. I felt that they were very well written and that their chemistry built as the story went on. I loved how Teddy had a very soft spot for Summer that went way back and that he really looked out for her. I also felt that their dialogue was very well written. I definitely recommend reading this book and I hope that there is more to come from Bluestone County soon!
