Motherland (The Tom Grant Series Book 3) by Samantha Adair – Review by Mrs R

Motherland (Tom Grant #3)Motherland by Samantha Adair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book, it had me hooked from the beginning. It was full of suspense, you really didn’t know what might be coming next.
I haven’t read other books in the series but I highly recommend that you do. This book can technically work as standalone, but I did miss out on a lot of background information and it was assumed that previous books had been read first. I am definitely going back and reading them now!
Tom Grant is an amazing character, he has his flaws, and many layers, he’s grumpy, impatient but his sarcastic responses were brilliant. I absolutely loved the conversations he had with Iz and Martha.
Iz needs to visit the Motherland to reunited her fathers Ashes with her mother. However, she defected from Russia and is wanted by many people. Tom goes with her, but it definitely doesn’t quite go to plan. What starts as a quick in and out visit, turns into a very deadly game, of death, kidnapping, lies, betrayal, heartbreak and new beginnings.
I would highly recommend this book, I really enjoyed reading it.
