The Arsonist’s Handbook by L.A. Detwiler. This is a very dark book. Its about a kid named Jameson who grows up with his mom because his dad walked out on them. With being a single mom, she works 2 jobs and is home very little to interact with Jameson so he is left to fend for himself quite often. Jameson has a dark burning in his soul and when he finds a journal of his dad’s he realizes he has inherited this dark thing. Jameson loves to burn things, building, animals, and later on humans. When Jameson kills one man’s son his dad, one of the nicest men in town, vows to find who did it. Pete lived for his son and he is determined with all that is in him to find out who killed his son and make them pay. There is also an arsonist loose in the county close to him and he’s wondering if his dad is back. He beings to search for his dad and longs to find him. Will Jameson find his dad and have some answers from his past? Will Pete find out who killed his son and be able to have some peace? This is a very dark, psychological thriller that will keep you turning pages way into the night!
