DATING THE INTERN by Natalina Reis – Review by Santana Hicks
Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis is a romance filled rom-com with just the right amount of drama. It is very unique compared to other books in this drama because the main character, Ivory, is very flawed which makes her all the more real and likeable.
Ivory is the CEO of a dating company but with no love of her own. When she gets offered publicity, it is brought to her attention that if she doesn’t have a SO, it looks bad. Li, Ivory’s intern, offers to be her fake boyfriend to the public.
Ivory struggles with very low self esteem, stemming from an emotionally abusive father. One element of this book that I really love is watching Ivory grow into her own and battle her flaws head on.
The author uses a lot of food metaphors. I would suggest not reading this book on an empty stomach or you will be drooling and starving by the end of it. I sure was.
