My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a fun book about a coffee shop owner, Ellie Warren, who’s Kitty Beret Cafe features cats in costumes roaming the shop looking to be adopted. When someone is murdered in the alley behind her shop, her own cat, Templeton, starts finding mysterious trinkets. Detective Simon Bates assigns himself as Ellie’s personal guard while they look for the murderer. Suddenly, Ellie’s life is turned upside down with strangers accosting her in the shop, strangers staring daggers at her, and more. This was a fun, light-hearted read that I recommend, especially to cat lovers.
