There was no doubt in my mind book two of the Broderick Coven series was going to be a knockout. AJ Renee is GOALS as a wannabe author. She spins an incredible tale with action, adventure, and romance. Allowing you to go through all the emotions! The story of Ethan and Serena was one I just couldn’t put down! As always the author has outdone herself, such a balanced fun read that leaves you wanting more, more, more!

HOLD ME FOREVER (HERON HARBOR Book 3) by LEA NOLAN – Review by Sara Oxton

Hold Me ForeverHold Me Forever by Lea Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hold me Forever by Lea Nolan a five-star read that I set alight by the chemistry in the pages. This is number three in the Heron Harbour books and I have loved them all, the characters do pop up in each other’s stories, and you do enjoy them as a series, but at a push they could be read as stand-alone, but they are a great series so you would be missing out. Lark is someone you will simply adore, she has her passion and you cant miss strong it makes her.

Bared. (Green St. Girls #1)Bared. by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bared by N.D. Jackson a five-star read that will leave your soul bare. This is the first story in the Green St. Girls series, and I can’t wait to hear more from the girls as they have such a great story to tell. Athena feels like she is doing it right, but don’t we all, and maybe she needs a little help from an unexpected source. A little distraction and help can be a good thing. Sometimes winning is everything, sometimes its so much more.

An Enduring LoveAn Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. I love how the author is able to bring the past into the modern day with her writing. It’s like stepping back in time and that’s what the reader needs to remember when reading these books.

When Rhys leaves his wife in Latvia he expects to see her in England within the month. However that doesn’t happen and when Rhys is told she is dead he is heartbroken.

Fast forward 4 years later and Rebecca returns with her son to finally be with Rhys. But Rhys has moved on. Now he is torn between his loyalty to his wife and his feelings for the woman who should have been his wife.
Rhys seems hard and cruel towards Rebecca and has made it crystal clear that he doesn’t want her but the other woman. However as is the time, a marriage is for life so they both endure this situation no matter how badly Rebecca is treated.

Can their marriage really last? Will Rhys’s feelings for the other woman be to much for Rebecca to stand? Or can Rhys remember why he feel in love with Rebecca and rekindle their relationship that he thought of as dead.

Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #5)Dark Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh my heart

This book is the 5th book in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. I have inhaled this series. The story is intriguing and causes me to need to know what happens next. The story continues with Sam and the special lady named Ellie. Their story held me captive. I loved the way they were together. Even if they have a need to be the hero. But that only reinforced the fact that they belonged together. I need November to be here like yesterday.

Truly a good read

It has been a minute since I inhaled a series this quickly. This is one I have to find out how it is going to end. Liam and Catronia’s story fed all my needs. I literally read this in one sitting. I refused to put the book down to do things like eat and adulting. I loved the chemistry between them. Add the forbidden note to the story (though it was not completely forbidden), my heart was so full. I am enjoying seeing the brothers come together to stop their crazy father. I totally recommend this series.

Elle has been running her mother’s bakery since she passed away. Zane moves in next door and starts making overtures to buy Elle’s. Oh my goodness, this means war. This story will tickle your funny bone while also having parts that will touch your heart. Joyce has been with Elle since she was a kid, working in the bakery. She has always been a Mother at heart. Elle must deal with Joyce’s dementia as well as mystery deliveries, Zane’s hijinks and wanting to date her. Connie, her BFF, tells her to just do what her heart tells her. Elle has to learn to not be such a control freak. That’s what makes the story so enjoyable to me. From one control freak to another, it’s always funny to watch them learn to grow. The story has humor, romance, friendship, business rivalries and nosy reporters, not to mention more to keep you enthralled. The author wrote fantastic characters. Zane is one of those guys that he takes the licking and still stays because he knows its not personal. He’s what we all want. Elle is totally someone we can empathies with. The reference to Jane Eyre certainly doesn’t hurt. Wonderful story. Highly recommend to all.

This is a power-packed book. Rebecca is a pistol. She starts with little confidence to slowly grow into a mature momma who can stand her ground. She is left behind when her husband returns to England for his sick father. Now this is in the early times, not common for that time. She stays to take care of her ill mom. The Latvian government lies to keep her prisoner and tells her husband she is dead. No communication reaches either. Eventually, she escapes with her house serf, her serf’s free brother, her son (yes, she was pregnant) and gets to England. She meets up with her husband and it’s not what she expected. So many changes and surprise, including the criminal Gorgi from Latvia following, and these two somehow will fight, challenge and overcome everything thrown at them. This is a book full of welll-written

One wild ride

As with the first two books, this book dragged me in almost immediately. I needed the next installation of this family’s story. Kells didn’t let me down with this book. In this book, we meet another brother named Kai and his leading lady Isabel. The angst in this book fed my angsty soul. The two have to work through their baggage to have something real. I rooted for them the entire way while they work to take down Finch. I am seriously loving this story. It is amazing!

Mmm

I started this series this week and I have sucked in the books as I would air. This is the second book of the Dark Sparrows series. Archer and Zoe’s story had me on the edge of my seat needing to find out what was happening next. Zoe is my kind of girl. I love it when the heroine doesn’t need a man to save her and Asher is a sexy alpha male. I seriously enjoyed the book. Now onto the next book.

An Enduring Love is a romance novel, but there is so much more to it. If you like time period romances that have twists that make you feel for the characters, this is the book for you. Rebecca is a citizen of Latvia while Rhys Sudduth is the son of a politician in London. Rhys and Rebecca fall in love and get married. Not long after, a parent of each lies on their deathbed, so they must separate for family. However, due to unnatural circumstances, they are forced to live their lives separate for four years. Now, they suddenly reconnect, however, moving on was inevitable. Can they rekindle their love? Can they keep their family safe? There is so much more to this book than romance.

Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #5)Dark Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dark Bastard is the fifth book in the Dark Sparrow series. It can be read as a standalone, but it has a much better impact if you’ve read the previous books to get all of the background.

I think this is my favorite in the series thus far. We haven’t gotten King’s book yet, and I have a feeling that one is going to be amazing, but for right now, yeah, this one is my favorite.

I loved Ellie. Even at her lowest point, she’s thinking about others. She handles the danger she faces bravely and keeps her wits about her. She accepts Sam as he is. Loved that strength in a female lead.

We finally get to understand Sam and what he’s been through. I love that he is willing to take the risk to love Ellie, even though he feels so completely broken.

Truly engaging read!

Hawke by Anise Storm – Review by Sophie Beatty

Hawke (Men of Syn, #1)Hawke by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had to read this book twice, TWICE. To wrap my head around it all – and it literally only got better the second time around. Charlotte Maxwell plans a club opening for a BDSM Club called Syn, but of course the owner of the club Hawke had taken personal interest in her. We follow the two watching them work and grow together. On top of the totally steamy scenes we also get a fantastic dynamic between the two of them, and their own personal character stories. While Syn is opening, there is a serial killer also in Denver. But, the killer might be closer to Charlotte than she expects. This book had me hooked from the jump. I would highly recommend to anyone! & I cannot wait for more books!

Dark Bastard
A Dark Sparrow Novel
Book 5
By India Kells
☆☆☆☆☆
This is another look into the Bastard Brothers. This is Sam and Ellis’ story. A romantic suspenseful continuation to A Dark Sparrow Novel. Ellie works as an 911 operator, her job is a continual phone call, all have their own traumatic event. She has had enough. Sam on the other hand has his own demons. The man he has known as father has pushed Sam into wanting to finish it all. Making what was to be his last call to his brother, ends up calling Ellie. That is where this story starts. But you will need to keep reading as there are no spoilers from me.

India Kells has once again drawn me into her Dark Sparrow series. I waited for this one and the suspense that I was waiting for happened. So much more was opened up in this story. Sam and Ellie are so much alike, both have open hearts and the need to help others, before themselves. I have enjoyed all of the characters in all of this series. But Sam and Ellie are my favorite. This is a non stop emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Well Done India Kells! Well Done!

This is a romantic, musical journey through Celtic folklore. Saoirse and Smithy meet after the death of her father when she goes to stay with a stranger that says she’s her grandmother. Their attraction is instant. Their music flows between them as if they had known each other forever. The gods are rising and the battle is eminent. Will they be together? Can they be successful in the battle? There is SO much Celtic content in this book. It’s super interesting to learn. Definitely recommended!

I adore this entire series! I’ve been waiting to read this and my word it did not disappoint. I love Vanessa and Carter so much. They met by chance when she went to the ER. Carter is a doctor because of his ability and just love for healing people in general. Vanessa is a jewelry maker with a curiosity about the supernatural world. The same world that is about to take notice of her. I just enjoyed the mystery, drama, love and just the entire community in general. I so loved watching their love story play out and I just could not get enough. I can not recommend this story enough! I highly suggest reading the entire series!! You will not be disappointed! HOLD ME FOREVER (HERON HARBOR Book 3) by LEA NOLAN – Review by Bethany Rollins

Hold Me ForeverHold Me Forever by Lea Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hold Me Forever is the 3rd book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. I did not read the prior two books so I wasn’t sure if I would be lost in the characters. I’m happy to report that Ms. Nolan does an excellent job of describing the scene and characters for those of us who read this as a standalone novel. Hold Me Forever centers on Lark, an artist who ran from her past to avoid hurting those she loves, and Hunter, the sheriff of Heron Harbor. Lark returns to Heron Harbor for her older sisters wedding and finds herself being saddled with her former, secret flame, Hunter, to finish the planning of her sisters wedding. We follow the pair as they handle the uncertainty of their love for one another and if we can see a happily ever after for them. This book has wonderful characters, great location, and gives you actual family drama that seems relatable. I greatly enjoyed this story of love, family and friendship.

This is the second book of this series which I enjoyed just as much as the first. I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help enhance your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story about just how complicated things can get when you are dating a demon enemy who is also a gargoyle and you are half-witch and half-demon. Lucy and Marcus are about to find out. What will happen when his family comes back and they all want something different for him. But he has one determination and that is to save Lucy and her father but this is where a problem comes in, she has a plan for herself. What happens next I highly recommend reading this book to find out. They are great, strong characters that not only bring the story to life but also kept it engaging. This is a fast paced story that kept me turning pages to the end. It is full of action and worth the pick up!

I enjoyed this shifter paranormal story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is part of the series Dark Spell which I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that has characters that not only bring the story to life on each page but pull you into the story from the beginning. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. Lady Iris is back in another page turning story. She has not always been on the dark side but at one time she was on the light side. Now she is faced with trying to get into the light before she has to stay in the dark side the way everyone thinks she is. There are quite a few characters in this story and they all have their own uniqueness and bring something different to the story. They are connectable and truly made the story enjoyable for me. This is a great story and worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book.

Sinful Daughter (Dark Mafia Sins Book 1) by Emily Bowie – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Sinful DaughterSinful Daughter by Emily Bowie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sinful Daughter: A mafia Romance by Emily Bowie is a dangerous and forbidden mafia romance that is dramatic and edgy. This story was very well written and very engaging. Add in a love between a cop and a mafia princess, and I am one happy reader. Another bonus is I have found another creative and talented author to add to my bookshelf.

Theo is a straight arrow that is after justice. Aria was everything he never expected. Sparks flew from the very beginning and continued to intensify throughout the story. The attraction was magnified by constant danger and secrecy. It keeps a reader on the knife’s edge. There is nothing better that danger magnifying emotions and actions. There is a lot of these stories out there, but this author puts an original spin on it and delivers a powerful and energetic drama with explosive sexual energy and brilliant characters. 4 stars.

Bared. (Green St. Girls #1)Bared. by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I truly loved this book, I really loved all the characters and just how real they all are!
I know, I know being a millionaire at 21 is not realistic but hear me out. The struggles Athena and Tru each have either individually or together was so very REAL! I loved how much complexity there was within these two characters. They both have been burned in their pasts, and it has had lasting effects like Athena’s hyper-independence. I won’t spoil anything but this led to very realistic issues and conversations and I just loved that. Sure it’s still a work of fiction but let me tell you this book was so refreshing because I could totally see these types of issues and conversations being had in real life. The spice was also amazing and the chemistry fantastic! Athena’s friends are amazing and again personalities were so distinct and you guessed it realistic! I absolutely loved getting to read about Athena and Tru, and honestly can’t wait to read more about the Green St. Girls!

Definitely a must read!

Kristin Gleeson is a talented author. She slowly weaves a magical tale that leaves you wanting more. The story of Saoirse, Anu and Smithy brings you so close to the magic awakening you can almost touch it. Kristin describes things in such amazing detail and really gives the reader a very clear picture of the setting. When it ended I wanted more story and had one of those moments readers know well… asking when is the next one going to be available. Bake Believe AUDIO BOOK by Cori Cooper – Review by Tamisha Janay

The storyline was wonderful for a young adult who wants to believe in some version of magic. The baking of emotions was something I wasn’t expecting and I appreciated the puns that went into this book. The narrator didn’t hit the mark for me, personally, but I have only ever listened to two audiobooks and have discovered that it isn’t my cup of tea. For anyone who enjoys audiobooks and thoroughly enjoys this genre, I think this would be a fantastic listen. My favorite parts were the recipes and the silliness involved with telling the reader how to make the things in each chapter. I definitely plan to make some of these as soon as possible.
