Hazard in Hawaii by Heather Silvio was such a fun read! I love finding new-to-me authors in genres I love.This mythical mystery was an easy page turner that kept me hooked. The main character, Sarah, goes to Hawaii to figure out how this strange illness is spreading and who and what are behind it. There were ups and downs that kept me entertained, on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

This is an interesting story of a rag-tag group of survivalists scraping out an existence in a dead mining town. Set only 10 years in the future, it paints a bleak picture of what humanity, and the Earth, might look like for people living in 2031. Hosted by the Raven Woman, a shapeshifting tavern owner who has lived for millenia, watching humans destroy her habitat. She is an odd character, but she does look out for her community in her own way. As the story’s viewpoint changed from so many different characters, it took me a bit to get a handle on who was who, and why we were privy to information… it took a good chunk of the book to understand what Koerber was saying with this work. It is a well-written and thought-out piece that I enjoyed, and was worth sticking with it til the end. I’ll be looking at what other things this authour has written.

Journeys Through TimeSpace is book 2 in the Journeys Through series by James Talisman and just like book 1 it did not disappoint!
I loved how readers learned more about the characters throughout this second installment in this series. It captured my attention and kept me wanting to know what happened to the characters when I had to be away from reading it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this series and book to those who love sci-fi and those who are looking to step outside their comfort book genre and want to read something fun, adventurous with a great storyline and awesome character building! I can’t wait to read what James has to write next!

I loved Hawke and Charlotte’s story, but Emery and Caine? Chef’s kiss!
Honestly though I absolutely loved the dynamic and all the things stacked against them/bringing them together. This was an absolute perfect start to my September reads and I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy dark romances. Anise Storm did a fantastic job with this continuation of the Men of Syn series and I can’t wait to read more!

My son absolutely loved this book! We start out with Jake and Neet exploring a trail when Jake notices suspicious tracks. Both he and Neet become scared, imagining scary beasts! But thanks to a few other dog friends, Jake is able to find the source of the tracks and overcome the fear. This book is an easy read but tackles a tough issue for kids! This helped my son to explore his fears and learn to overcome them. I definitely recommend parents of young children to buy this book!

I love this follow up to Professor Valentine. Here we see Cassie and Diego still together but with new challenges to face. Diego has to win over Cassie’s parents because of the wide age gap and they both suffer challenges with this as well. Cassie hating everyone always bringing up their age difference and Diego only seeing how he could hold Cassie back because of it. Also we meet Diego’s ex wife again and this time she is trying to make things difficult for Diego and putting him in a stressful position when all he wants to do is move forward with Cassie. I loved all the drama involved, at one point I thought they were going to break up. I also really felt for Diego, I hated that he was so insecure at times even though we can see Cassie loves him so much. I really liked this book and look forward to more from this author.

I enjoyed this romance story that pulled me in from the beginning. This is a story that made me laugh in parts and hard to put down in others. This is a well written story about a woman who loses her job only to get a new government job but the problem is he is a prince as well. What happens to them next I would highly recommend picking up this book. Together they will make you laugh and even get a little steamy in other parts. They have great growth and chemistry throughout the story. I also enjoyed what they brought to the story and how fun, entertaining they made it. This is a hard to put down romance story where the author used details to not only bring the story to life but also gave it a realistic feel. I really enjoyed this book and it certainly is worth reading.

This is a cute romance story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is not a new author for me and this is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story about Sindy who has to return home a little broke and takes up practice as a nurse. She is doing great on her own until he pops up in her life again. Ryan has come home only to find that he has been given half of a practice, the other half is owned by her. He has no intentions of staying all that long but will he change his mind? These two never expected to be thrown together in one practice nor did they expect what happens to their hearts. I enjoyed the growth of these two and what they brought to the story. They are connectable and really just made the story for me. I also enjoyed their chemistry together. I found myself hoping that they would get a happy ever after at the end. This is a fun, entertaining, engaging story that I had a hard time putting down. It was a great afternoon read. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this fantasy story. These are two new authors for me which I enjoyed and look forward to reading more from them in the future. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters from the beginning. They took me on an adventure like no other. They are relatable as well as keep the story engaging. The author’s attention to details gave the story a fun, realistic feeling which brought the story to life. I found this story to be fast paced and full of adventure. This is a story about Rowan. She knows who she is and where her place is in this world until now. She now finds herself an outsider and in a relationship with a captor that takes a turn she never sees coming. What happens next, I highly recommend reading this book to find out. They are great characters that truly made the story for me. I really enjoyed Rowan and what she brought to the story. This is a great story that I don’t regret picking up and neither will you.

Return To Alpha: A New Saga Begins by Wesley Britton is a well written and unique concept of aliens and their connection with Earth. This is a spin off from the author’s Beta-Earth Series. I didn’t realise this before I started reading however it did not detract from my enjoyment of the book. I though the way the author created the story was really clever. He used a well known trope – aliens – and successfully put his own spin on it. It felt fresh and interesting and was really easy to get into. I thought all the characters were well done. They each added different things to the story and just enhanced the reading. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed his style of writing. I will definitely be looking into his other series while I wait for the next one in this.

Swindler’s Revenge by Ellen Butler is the fifth book in the Karina Cardinal Mysteries series. This is a fantastic series that just keeps on getting better. I think this book has to be my favourite of the series so far. It is exciting and full of twists and turns all the way through. I always find it so easier to fall back into the main character and her story. This one is fast paced and really pulls you in. The author knows exactly how to keep you engaged and has really created a book that you cannot put down. Although I would recommend reading this series in order you can read this book as a standalone. However it is definitely worth your time to read all of the books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the next.

Scarlet Princess is a historical romance about an unorthodox, free spirited princess who is feared by many because of her scarlet hair. After being captured for “stealing”, her captive recognizes that there is something about her, and even with all her “flaws” he is intrigued. She is a “prisoner” with a culture that is very far off from what she is used to and has to adhere to some of their ways while they determine her fate. I really enjoyed this story and cannot wait to read the whole series. I really fell in love with the two main characters, Rowan and Theo. Rowan has a teasing way about her that is captivating. I see a lot of myself in her character – I can only play by the rules for so long till I need to say something and defend what I believe. One way I knew I really loved this book was the fact that I read it in a day, and in the morning I was still smiling and repeating quotes in my head while feeling all warm and fuzzy!!

Codename: Vulture is NOT a story about falling in love. If that is your goal, I would recommend skipping it. However, if you want a steamy story full of action, adventure, and interesting lore, then this is the book for you! It has a great, original take on vampires with enough mystery to spark your curiosity. Oh and the main lead is pretty kickass. All in all it was a pretty good read!

This was a very interesting read. It was well-thought out and developed. The characters had their own quirks. The action pulled you in from the beginning and didn’t let you go until the end of the book. The concept of aliens return to their damaged planet and not getting the warm welcome they hoped for. Kind of sad but look at the world as it is now. It’s not that hard to imagine it. It’s a book you should read. High recommend.

This is the 2nd book in the DAG series. It is a story filled with danger and suspense but also a romance element which works well and keeps the reader hooked. I love the leading lady Amy. She has had a tough past which has made her this hard hitting, straight talking fiesty woman that she is today.
Amy is sent undercover to help a charity uncover who is using them to illegal substances around the world. The owner of the charity is Hugh Bainbridge IV. Hugh is a lawyer who helps people who have fallen between the cracks of the law system. He is a hardworking man who is fighting for the people unable to fight for themselves. Amy and Hugh seem like a perfect match and their connection is special however, when Amy realises the person beind the crime is the same people who destroyed her sisters life she is sent on getting revenge. This is a great start to the series Perfectly Independent which is a college love story. its the story of Drew who is a popular captain of his college basketball team. Abby is focused on college so she can go to med school and when she is matched up with Drew as her lab partner she is less than thrilled. He is not taking this assignment nearly as serious as she needs him to so that she can get into med school but as she spends more time with him she realizes that there is more to him than meets the eye. Drew doesn’t date to keep from getting distracted so he is into school too. When they spend more and more time together they realize that they have amazing chemistry and really want to see if this might work. Will they give their love a chance? Read Drew to find out!

I was invested in the character development between Amy and her team from the first introduction. I was intrigued and fascinated to hear more about the ops and the romance. I felt a sense of kinship with Amy while having no sense of relatability to her character, which only made each page more intense. As the end neared, I was rooting for my version of a happy ending but the storyline was well written and nothing was given away. I cannot wait for additional books and further DAG character development.

Raven Women’s Tavern by Laura Koerber was a book I got sucked into. Everything in this book is easy to grasp, but has great details. The reader can imagine the scenes, whether it be a frail old man walking down the road with his dog or a terrified bar keeper trying to keep calm in front of militia. I had a very tough time putting this book down when it got to Baylor and his struggles to survive. The author did such a great job portraying the character’s emotions that I felt like I was there with him! The only thing I wish to have from this book was more! I’d love to see the characters develop more or see more into the beginning chapters so that I felt more immersed. Overall, a great read!

Truly interesting tale of romance among two kingdoms that hate each other. Princess Rowan and her cousin are busted for stealing vodka. Of all things, vodka? I love this, actually. In most stories, its’s jewels or high price items but the vodka makes it feel a little more real. The characters feel real because Princess Rowan is having to overcome these feelings of how she grew up. It’s a book that makes you think. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t put this book down. From the first page to the last page, I was hooked. The three cousins in this book reminded me so much of myself and my best friends, especially when we were younger. I will be reading the rest of the series as soon as I can! I have already downloaded them on my kindle! I can’t wait to read Audrey’s storyline because she reminds me of myself. However, Stella moving away from her people for work also reminded me slightly of my own dreams and ambitions. This book was amazing, and I would recommend it to my friends in a heartbeat. This my dear friends, was a paranormal like no other. It was more than different than most, but defiantly in a good way! I expected a paranormal with some drama. I got more than that, I literally and my soul invested myself in this novel. I couldn’t believe how much I was into this, and the emotions and and the darkness it gave off and dealt within these pages as well!
For me this book had it all, and needless to say I need to read the next in the series. I lust for more to come in the story line. I did not expect the book to had as much as moments that were identified as more along the lines of horror as well, and the darkness the booked allowed to prevail. I was more than invested in this book. the characters, as well as they were complex, they were characters that stood out from a lot of past characters I have recently read about. Mekaisto and Celina were two characters whom were so unique they were so well made they leapt off the pagers as very real for me.
This book truly gave me everything. It gave me emotions, suspense, hot and steamy moments of pure lustful seduction, horror, paranormal, and the want to know more and more and for ties to come together not knowing if those answers I wanted so bad were ones I should seek. The book was beyond amazing, and I was truly star struck on how good it was! It is a diamond in the rough, no denial there!
The author is extremely skilled, and knows exactly what they were doing when they wrote this amazing book. The story was spell binding on its own, but throw the main characters and all the side objectives to the pot, you literally have a novel you want to sell your own soul to! I mean I certainly would have been more than happy to do that! The book is simply a must read, and it truly has that rate quality that separates itself from other paranormal books. Its something you must read, literally just read it!

Oh, this author – he definitely knows how to get the pulse racing in his sexy short reads! I absolutely love reading his books! They might only be short reads but my gosh he doesn’t miss anything.
Tequila Sunset may be a slight taboo story but I still liked it – got to be honest he was a very attractive and sexy older guy and the passion between them was certainly off the charts! He definitely brought Cass out of herself that’s for sure!! I loved the setting for this story too! Sounded relaxing and idyllic!
Beneath the Sheets was a second chance romance read and I really enjoyed this one too. This story had more of a build-up than the first one so I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing their relationship develop. I loved Alex and Sarah – they definitely had chemistry. They were cute together!
Both stories were brilliant reads and I 100% recommend this box set! As always, I look forward to more from this author again in the future!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and what a wonderful book it was! I really liked the plot and the characters. I think I fell in love with Drew pretty much straight away, I definitely had a preconceived idea of what he was going to be like but I was wrong. He was just so lovely and mature. Abby was lovely too; they were both not what each other expected and I loved watching them grow over the story. I like that their relationship wasn’t rushed, it was perfect for them. I really like YA reads as they are usually so easy to read and this one definitely was. I would highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read more from this author again in the future.

This was one of those cute romance reads that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside acter you’ve finished reading it. I loved how easy it was to read and how relatable the characters were. The author had the perfect pace and flow for the story. I think it only took me a few hours to devour as it was such a nice story to read. I really liked Brody and Willabelle, I found that they had such a genuine connection between them and I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through the story. Whilst this might have been a quick read it certainly wasn’t missing anything for me. I loved it, I can’t wait to read more from this author again and I would highly recommend it as a lovely easy to read romance story!

Journeys through TimeSpace is amazing! This is book 2 in the series and I am so happy that I read it. James took the characters from the first book and gave us more of their stories, there’s more space and time traveling. I just couldn’t stop reading it. I really hope he comes out with a third installment in the series and if not I can’t wait to read what he writes about next!

After loving the first book in this series I was really looking forward to getting started on Caine and it didn’t disappoint. It was everything I was expecting – dark, exciting and very sexy! I loved Caine and Emery’s story – brilliant from the very first page until the very last, I wasn’t actually sure I was going to like Emery, it did take me a whole to warm up to her but I enjoyed seeing her evolve as the story progressed and seeing how the relationship between her and Caine changed also. This is definitely a recommended read from me!

What a way to kick of a new series! I love this author there’s no denying it so I was really excited when I saw this new release from her and wow what an amazing read! I was hooked from beginning to end. I love mafia romance and this was the perfect example of that genre! Action, tension, angst, romance – this book had it all and more! I LOVED Max – oh my gosh he was totally swoon worthy! Liliana really surprised me actually, I didn’t expect her to be so strong but she was amazing! She held her own when she needed to. I absolutely loved both of them together and their story was so exciting to read! I can’t wait for more from this author!
