This book is the ninth book in the series, however, this book can be read as a standalone. I will say though, I cannot imagine not wanting to read the other books with an author this good! Ivy Nelson seems well educated on the fetishes and has such a great writing style. I can’t wait to read more!

Following Russell and Gemma was a treat! Russell has a problem though, he can’t be with a married woman but he knows his lust can’t hold out for long. Matthew and Gemma have to be 100% clear with Russell exactly what their relationship is. Everything that follows is written so well! Nelson did a great job on the series!

Tenacious was a great novel! Via Mari did a beautiful job on this book. That being said, I didn’t read any of the first books. I’m sure they add a lot more to this book, but I question if it needs it. It was a very well put together standalone though I will be going back to read some of these other couples stories!!

This doesn’t really feel like a billionaire or bad boy/ mafia type of book. While I know it is because they do mention it more than a few times, it really feels like a sweet love story that just had a wrench thrown in. Allie is a great nurse who loves her job, her space, and her freedom. But when Nick comes along to protect her, that all changes. She can’t do real relationships, and he isn’t on a continent long enough to try.

Kingdom of Embers by Tricia Copeland gets 5 stars from me!! This was an amazing young adult novel! It has an amazing balance of magic, mystery, and romance to make you stay up all night!

Following Alena as she navigates a world where everything is normal for maybe 10 minutes? She tackles each problem with a sort of dark optimism that only a teenager can have. Between wanting to be normal and date, to not knowing how to make friends or deal with so many men, Alena has to learn why her mother is keeping her a secret and how to deal with bloodlust and magic gone awry.

Once again Ms. Renee gives us phenomenal characters that are so easy to love that you just can’t help but root for their love story. Edward has always felt like an outcast, what will he do when fate intervenes and he crosses paths with Mia? Can she possibly bring out that sweet caring side? You’ll have to read Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee to find out for yourself.

Fool Me Twice by Gledé Browne Kabongo is definitely a thrilling read if your need a good one for this weekend. This book is filled with so much drama, mystery, danger, suspense and more that I really found myself not being able to put it down. This particular thriller is not a good novel to start if you have errands to run, this book gripped me from the very first page and took me on a roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. You think that it’s just going to be a another normal day, but what happens when someone is accused of murder? Will the suspicions be cleared and the real killer caught? You’ll have to read Fool Me Twice by Gledé Browne Kabongo to find out for yourself.

Death Under Palm Trees by Carmen Radtke is a Jack and Frances mystery, book 4 in the series. I haven’t read the first 3, but with how much I enjoyed this book and its wonderful visuals of 1931 culture in Nice, I will be checking them out.

Jack and Frances are supposed to be on a relaxing holiday after their previous endeavors, and brought along Uncle Sal, the former vaudevillian performer. Their trip begins with a stop in London to see Jack’s mother, who reveals she told them she needed help. but really called them away to give them a chance to unwind and enjoy the European countryside. The visuals of the landscape, clothing, and cities drew a wonderful, clear picture in my head.

It has been discovered that Aunt Mildred and Tommy need help finding a spy! Jack and Frances have to take on characters to investigate from different angles and get to know the guests and employees, in addition to having to pretend they don’t know each other. Will their relationship be discovered? This Jack and Frances mystery was a fun book to read, had great visuals, and characters that are strong, smart, relatable and likable across the board. I’ll definitely be checking out the first 3 in this series!

Whisper Creek: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 7 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. Once again I found myself completely drawn in to a story by this author. I recommend reading this series in order and trust me you’ll love each one. I’m always looking for a book that has me guessing and on the edge of my seat. This book gave me that and more. I love the main character Logan she’s definitely a character you can easily connect with and root for. In fact every character is well written in this series. The storyline pulled me right in and had me hooked right to the end. Sometimes long series’s can start to fizzle out but I’m happy to say this isn’t one of them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Will wants to go through his issues alone, but will he let Tori be the friend he needs? Will Tori be able to handle all the complications and heartache that comes with Will’s disease? Even with a emotional as this book is, I found that I couldn’t put this page turner down.

Ms. Anne is a detailed author with her character development and the atmosphere in this book! The book was decent and enjoyable to read. I really enjoyed the character’s interactions (ie Hunter and his brothers, Rain being put into new environments, etc) and the story really took off for me. The anticipation for the reveal was very well written for Rain and Hunter. I’m interested to see what happens in book 2. However, I struggled with the beginning interactions between Rain and Hunter, as it went from 0-60 real fast. Though after another chapter or so, when the other characters were introduced it was less of a struggle.

This is a wonderful fast paced story filled with action, adventure and magic. The author does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and even making their magical sides seem believable. This book contains supernatural dangers and a little bit of romance which brings the whole story together.

Serena is part of The Nightshade Guild. She knows she has responsibilities, but when that responsible becomes looking after and protecting the Elvin Queen she may have bitten off more than she can chew.

With dark forces wanting to take the little queen away she enlists her friend Peder for his help and support but will the budding relationship between them prove more of a distraction than a help.
Is Serena capable of protecting the little queen from the dark forces wanting her power? I mean how hard can it be to protect a toddler?

So many good things to say about this book! Tricia Copeland’s first book in the Kingdom Journal series, Kingdom of Embers has fantastic world-building and suspense at every turn, making it impossible to put the book down for very long!

The character of Alena was unlike any supernatural being I’ve ever read about before. Her very existence as a half-witch, half-vampire could cause war and watching her keep it a secret from the people in her life was interesting. Add that on top of brewing tensions between the witches and wizards and the cliffhanger at the end of the book, this series is bound to be an amazing one!

Fool Me Twice is a gripping novel by Gledé Browne Kabongo. It’s a psychological thriller, following a seemingly normal woman as her life completely unravels. Framed for a murder she hasn’t committed, and with a stalker determined to get revenge, Shelby has to work hard to prove her innocence and protect her family.
This is a real page-turner – once you get started you will need to know why Shelby is being targeted, and if/how she will make it through this onslaught. Changes of narrative perspective drip-feed information to the reader, whilst keeping us in suspense.
One thing I particularly like about this book is the highlighting of women, in particular women of colour, in STEM. Shelby is involved in some really cool scientific research, and is committed to encouraging other women and girls to get into STEM. It’s really great to get this sort of thing in books that aren’t specifically about women in STEM, but that will still get readers interested and raise awareness of some of the difficulties they face.
For me, this is a five-star read. It isn’t a genre I read much but I was absolutely hooked and will definitely look to read more of Browne Kabongo’s work in the future. I would recommend it to any readers looking for something that will have them on the edge of their seats.

Every character seems to have secrets, but Shelbys are the darkest. When her physical therapist has been murdered, she is convinced someone from her past is setting her up. I was on the edge throughout the whole book, it really keeps you guessing on who the real murderer is.

Forever is book nine in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I am new to this author’s work, so I am entering this series at the wrong end. BUT!!! In no way did that take anything away from this story. This story was sexy, very arousing, intriguing and just totally enthralling. I was very intrigued by the very short blurb. It drew me in instantly. I had to know about this couple and try to work my way around all that I missed from coming in for the last book. The characters were insatiable and very entertaining. I was drawn to the way the author portrayed each character. The interaction between them was magnetic and impossible to drag your attention away from. This was a one sitting read for me. I could not put it down. There is nothing better than a take charge man who is dominant but considerate. They are not afraid to be heavy handed but it is all with the care of their partner foremost in their minds. There was so much to this story that tickled my senses and appealed to my little smutty mind. It was so well and respectfully written, with suspense, mystery and lots of energetic activity. Hats off to Ivy Nelson. I done things backward by reading the last book first, but I am definitely going to be purchasing the entire series and diving in asap. A steamy hot and cleverly written story that will get the blood pumping and the heart racing. But do yourself a favour and start from book one to experience all that I am sure this series is. 5 stars.

What a rollercoaster of emotions, this book had me sobbing. Tori is a volunteer for terminally ill patients and when she meets Will who has terminal cancer, he is given up on life and has told the hospital not to resuscitate him if it comes to that. When Tori finds this out she really wants to change his mind, but is it too late?
The more time they spend together talking the more they realise they have something special, can love overcome Wills illness. If you loved me before you then this is definitely the book for you.

Vampires and witches, what more could you want? This book gave me serious Vampire Diaries and Originals vibes which is definitely a good thing since I love both shows. The story line captured my attention and drew me right in from the very first page. Alena is fascinating and I really enjoyed reading about her internal struggles as she was discovering herself and coming into her powers. Hunter and Alena are absolutely magical together. Their chemistry is instantaneous and there were some twists in the story that I did not see coming but that I thoroughly enjoyed! I can’t wait to read the rest of this story and find out what happens next.

Fool Me Twice is a fast paced read, as well as a fast read. I really didn’t want to put it down! There are multiple stories to follow in this book, but it is easy to follow. Not all of the subplots come to a satisfactory conclusion, but overall I enjoyed the writing as well as the story.

Shelby Cooper is a scientist, mom of 2, and wife living with her family in a suburb near Boston – and she has secrets. When she starts gets strange messages and being pursued by vehicles, she knows her secrets are going to be revealed soon. Shelby isn’t the only person with secrets in this book – Will Shelby find out who knows her secrets and is framing her for murder? Will she and Jason be able to trust each other again? Will her family stay together? Stay safe?

If you like psychological thrillers, crime, etc – carve out a day or 2 and read this book. I really enjoyed it!

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed and can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well written story that pulled me into the story from the beginning. The author’s use of details made me want to know what happened next with the characters. The characters are relatable and made the story fun and entertaining to read. This is a story that took me on a magical adventure with a twist of suspense to it. I found this book to be full of action, magic and even some romance. Serena feels that she is over her head when she is entrusted to keeping the child queen safe. She also finds herself requesting her friend, Peder’s help. They are now facing evil darkness and a determination to conquer the enemies. This is a great story with a great, engaging adventure that was worth the pick up. I can’t wait to see what comes next for them. I highly recommend this book.

Stranded by Feather Chelle is volume one in the Cetecea Chronicles. I thought this was a great book and found it really funny to read with my daughter. It was informative and educational while still retaining the excitement that is needed for a children’s book. I loved the fact that the author clearly realised her audience wasn’t just the young readers but also the adults that works read this with them. I honestly think I enjoyed this just as much as my daughter. This is a wonderful story that I would highly recommend.

The synopsis peaked my interest as an original take on a dystopian world and had me curious about what this book would be like, it definitely lives up to its title: Born to Fight.

Anne writes in a way that draws you into her unique world building, lovable characters and their plots. Anne gives us insight to the past and blends it well into the present. It is a fast-paced read and can be finished in one sitting.

I enjoyed reading this novel and look forward to reading the next one that is coming out soon!

enjoyed this romance story. This is the first book in this series which I enjoyed and look forward to seeing what is next in this series. This is a well written story about friendship and a willingness to fight for life. This is a fast paced story that kept me engaged to the end. The characters are connectable and bring out different emotions throughout the story. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning as well as how the characters brought the story to life. This is a story that is written with a lot of heart and will pull at your heartstrings. It is a journey from illness to a day when choices have to be made. I really enjoyed this story and the growth of the plot throughout. I highly recommend this book.

Gledé Browne Kabongo is a talented author. At first, though, I didn’t like this story. I was confused and struggled to keep up. I kept going, because I know how much I’ve loved her stories. I was so glad I did! Shelby Cooper is being harassed by a stalker and then is wrongly arrested for murder. Shelby does not want her hidden past to come out and is terrified that her stalker will hurt her family. There were several twists in the story that I did not see coming. It was a fantastic story. Once it got going, I couldn’t put it down!

Teague is the perfect wounded prince. My heart broke for Teague during so much of this story. He is such an amazing guy that fought for his country but didn’t feel like he deserved happiness or that he could ever hold on to it. Christi Bart did an amazing job of showing his vulnerability and that scared little boy still locked deep inside of him. Amelia was his beacon of light for so many years that I was rooting for them the whole time. If there were ever two people absolutely meant for each other and soulmates without a doubt it’s Teague and Amelia. This story tugged at my heart and made me shed so many tears while also making me laugh and smile and swoon. This is a book definitely not to be missed!

The Nightshade Guild: Sea Mage by Louisa Bacio is a well written and interesting story. It easily drew me in and kept my attention for the whole way through.
This is the first book that I have read by this author so I didn’t know to expect. What I found was ql developed and likea me characters set in the midst of a great story. I enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and how that effected the story.
I liked the way the author constructed the story too. She knows how to get your attention and make sure she holds it for the whole book. This was a great story and I will definitely read more by this author in the future.

This book really tugged at my heartstrings. Sasha is such an amazing, spirited woman. It doesn’t take long for Arnaud to realize that he has finally met his match. I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book, where they had to work together to search for clues to lead them to the key. Watching Arnaud and Sasha grow closer and see the sparks fly between the two of them was magical. It was so heart rending to find out more about the health struggles that Sasha is facing and not being sure where the story will lead. The ending was absolutely worth the tears shed on the way there. I am so excited to read the next book in this series and learn more about Theo and his backstory.

Ok so when I first read the blurb for this book, I knew I wanted to dive straight in because ‘Me Before You’ is one of my favourite books especially when I need a good cry so I thought I would give Come Back Tomorrow as its sounded similar in theme and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. I think the first thing I’ll say is I was glad it wasn’t the same as the book mentioned and it stands on his own as an amazing and emotional read. Tori and Will’s story was beautifully heart-breaking to read. I was right there with all of the emotions that each other characters was feeling and the author did a wonderful job of binging these emotions through so well. It was sad but not sad, I loved the bod that Tori and Will built and how she was able to help him work through his feelings but also, I loved how he was able to help her also. The author gave her writing such a realistic feel that it did feel like I was watching a film at times as I was reading – I was able to visualise everything so well. The descriptions of Will’s artwork especially came through.
I can’t wait for the next instalment – I am prepared for it to be very emotional but I need more of Tori and Will (also Jenny too!!)
