Ms. Anne is a detailed author with her character development and the atmosphere in this book! The book was decent and enjoyable to read. I really enjoyed the character’s interactions (ie Hunter and his brothers, Rain being put into new environments, etc) and the story really took off for me. The anticipation for the reveal was very well written for Rain and Hunter. I’m interested to see what happens in book 2. However, I struggled with the beginning interactions between Rain and Hunter, as it went from 0-60 real fast. Though after another chapter or so, when the other characters were introduced it was less of a struggle.
