As a daughter of a cop, I was intrigued by the blurb of this book. This mystery suspense isn’t my typical read, but sometimes new books can surprise you. Alex Danvers and her new partner Xavier Knight have a new case. But that is not the only thing going on, who can you trust when everyone is working against you? Between the twists and turns and trying to solve the mystery, I enjoyed where the pieces fell.

Tori and Will are back in this tale of one terminal cancer patient and the woman who started out wanting to be his friend and turned into something much more. When she first walked into his room, all she saw were glorious and intense green eyes both challenging her to stay and telling her to leave all at the same time, there is vulnerability and strength, loneliness and determination there, but he has had nobody to visit him, this young man who is suffering all alone. Tori decides at that moment that she will be there for him and asks him whether she could “come back tomorrow?” and she did, everyday and each day she spent with him, each day she fell deeper in love.
What she didn’t want to think about is that Will was going to die, but she knew she was in too deep regardless, but the day she was going to tell him that is the day that she never expected. As Will is struggling to breathe as the pneumonia takes its toll, but between breaths he is trying to talk to Tori, saying that “He is scared and that he feels like he is falling apart and that he has nothing to hold on to to get him though.” this is where Tori says he can hold onto her, but he replies that “He wants her to leave and not to come back tomorrow, in fact not to come back at all!”
This absolutely destroys Tori, but she doesn’t realise just how much until she hears the alarm of “Code blue, code blue in room four-twelve” and she knows then that it might just be too late to tell him how she feels. However, when her best friend Jenny comes into the room and tells her that he hasn’t died and that in fact he has chosen to live, chosen to love, chosen to fight and chosen Tori over death, all she feels is relief that she has a second chance and this time, she isn’t going to let it pass her by and she will fight by his side, as he fights everything else. This is an emotional rollercoaster which will wrench you by the heartstrings throughout as the fight continues in this epic journey of uncertain tomorrows.
This is the second book by this author I listened too and I love it… The length of the books is great! I love audible books so this is a plus. The audible is great the narrator is great. I’ve had books that bug me because of the narrator, but not here. Any series by this author, wether book or audible, you won’t be disappointed!! Can’t wait for the next book !!

Such a good story! This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed her writing style and I can’t wait to read more. The writing of the characters made you feel like you actually knew them and could relate to them. The mystery/suspense of the book was excellent, it really kept me interested in what was coming next and staying up way too late to read! Overall great read, I think many would enjoy!

Reading part two of Red’s story almost felt like reading a different story altogether. Red and Cheryl’s paths have crossed once again, but now they have grown up. Gone are the two young lovebirds we met at the beginning of book one. I don’t want to add any spoilers, but this author has once again taken a sensitive subject and explored it. It definitely adds a complexity to this love story. These two who we fell in love with in first book get another chance at love. Great story with a great lesson !

I really had the bar set high for this book, as with any from India Cells. But man oh man, that bar wasn’t even in sight when this book soared over it! Incredible writing style, amazing plot and characters you can’t help but feel all the feels for! Lazarus was the perfect male lead and I hung on his every word, though and move. 10 out of 10 on another great Dark Sparrow book! Get it now!

This is book two of the series. You should definitely read book one before diving into this book. Not only did I need to find out how the story was going to go for Will and Tori, I did genuinely enjoy book one and of course wanted to read book two to finish out the story.
This book is well written and packed with so so many emotions. Tori and Will finally get to start their journey together. It goes without saying they have had and still have quite a bit to overcome together. It was hard to put this book down but boy the emotional roller coaster was worth it!
A wonderfully told story set along the shores of modern day Massachusetts and in Southern Italy’s, Old Country, both of which really came alive through the authors detailed and descriptive narrative. I could feel the Italian sun and the fresh salt air in Massachusetts. The storyline has it all, history, hereditary witchcraft, wonderful characters, amazing settings and, “Reincarnation, Family, Love, Hope, Suffering and Joy”, and of course magical liquor! All of which had me spellbound from page one. Angela Scotti (Annie), a third-year medical student has dreams of becoming a healer, but due to past tragedies her destiny or ‘Destino’ has other plans for her. Annie is also having difficulties whilst working at the hospital as her mentor has become an enemy, and then there is her successful lawyer fiancé who is giving her no support. Especially in regard to the urgent whispers she has started to hear at night. The dual timeline aspect works well and reads flawlessly in this novel, from Italy in 1617 and 1899 and the stories of Annie’s predecessors, to modern day Massachusetts. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this engaging novel, and felt as though I was there with Annie as she faces her past. The historical details made me feel immersed in the eras and the author has obviously done her research thoroughly. An enjoyable read which flowed well and kept me captivated from start to finish.

What a delightful story for kids. I have to say I wish my children were younger and I could share this with them. I really like how the author has used the character to teach children a wonderful lesson. The way the book is written in first person also adds to it. The author spins a great story and kids would just really love the character and her tale. I highly recommend this story for those with young children.
This book is a 4/5 stars. It’s a good story that centers around Paisley and Caspian. Caspian is a wealthy businessman who is due to inherit more wealth and become CEO at his uncle’s company as his uncle is dealing with heart failure. However, there is a caveat to inherit all of this—Caspian must be married for 365 days. Paisley is a struggling artist who has had to persevere through the struggles of poverty. Her mother was recently in a life-threatening accident resulting in a prolonged hospital stay, causing medical bills to pile up. It is during a visit to see her mother, that Paisley runs into (literally) Caspian. Seeing each other sparks old memories between the two as they briefly knew each other from the past. This leads to a solution for Caspian. Make Paisley his wife for the year! And of course, Paisley agrees to it as Caspian is going to pay her to be his wife. So the journey begins! This story is very Hot and Steamy from the first sentence, so beware, this book should be read by mature audiences only. This book is a great late night read and will be hard to put down!

Priscida Finds Greatness by Constance Mays. This is a great kids book that I enjoyed with my nephew but I even enjoyed it. Its the story of Priscida who is an alley cat but he realizes that he’s so much more than that. The main concept of the story is to teach kids to find the good in all things. Priscida is an alley cat who goes on many adventures and my nephew giggled and laughed all thru it. He’s only 3 but he really enjoyed it and understood it. Priscida teaches us that we are all made up of good things and we can all do good things! I think kids and adults alike could learn from this book. Awesome kids book.
This story surrounds several generations of the same family with magical abilities. Wise women, witch or Strega? Doesn’t matter what you call them they have mystical abilities that make this story so much more interesting as you are guessing your way through all these abilities. A turn of events in Diana’s life means her and her sisters must flee the town their family has lived in all their lives. Was it right to do as she did or did she go against the basic principle that her abilities should harm none? What will her actions translate into in Annie’s life? I love the historical influences that are given throughout this novel. This tale is both story and character driven and has so many of those details that make a story a great one. I loved the back story that was given and found myself unable to put this story down until I read every last word. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and hope the author finds a way to make this a series!! I would love to read more.

Its the perfect story for kids that are getting to the age where they are questioning their belief in Santa. It has gorgeous pictures and the story is so informative in a way that kids can understand. The story is emotional and entertaining all while teaching a great lesson. If you have kids from around 7-11 this is the perfect book for you and your kids.

This book is a romantic and suspenseful story that has been been written. I thought the story was well developed and had some interesting characters. It was an easy story to get into and the author has done a great job of adding in enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes. This is the second book in the series however reading it our of order does not detract from the enjoyment. I thought the whole book was really well developed and the author knew exactly how to engage the reader. This is a great story and I am looking forward to reading more.

This is one of the best children’s books that I’ve read. The artwork is awesome. The story is one that every child (and adult) can relate to. As with the other books in this series this is a paranormal shifter story and an interesting read. It can be read as a standalone, but you should start from the beginning. It had everything I love to keep me engaged. With shifters – dragons and vampires, evil sorceress and magic, mystery and drama, and quirky characters there is so much to enjoy in this book. Add in a little mystery, action and danger, some romance and passion and you are ready for an afternoon delight of getting lost in the story and the world the author has created. Her destined soulmate is of the rarest form of shifter but to save mankind she has to do the unthinkable. He has nothing left but to die. This is a mystery thriller and the author is unknown to me but now I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her work. The author has cleverly woven the mystery into the tale that is compelling and engrossing. It wasn’t until after about half way through that I realised this was the second book in the series but I was enthralled with the story and read it in one sitting as I just couldn’t put it down. I tried but the story won out over sleep. Now I am anticipating reading the first book and making my back through book two. The characters are complex and full of flaws and all and you will fall in love with them. Xavier is once again undercover. He has a knack for sniffing out the troubled or bad cops and she may just be one of them, as much as he is torn. Lexi is feeling the weight of being a live wire, an unknown and the wrath of her department to her husband’s death. This was a gripping story murder mystery with romance running through it. The characters were really well written. I loved Lexi’s character because she is strong and determined and she has overcome a lot to get where she is now. She give herself 100% to her job and bringing criminals to justice. After losing her husband Lexi has thrown herself into her job however this isn’t always a smart idea.I love her character because she is strong and independent and is determined to get her killer.
Xavier has been brought in undercover to work as Lexi’s new partner. His job isn’t to help her solve the recent murder but on monitoring Lexi’s ability to do her job.
When a young boy is found murdered Lexi and Xavier now have to work together to get this child killer caught. But with all the secrets they both hold this case put their lives and jobs at risk. When romance is added to the mix things get more complicated and more dangerous. How will things go when the secrets are revealed? Can the focus on catching the killer before its too late?

Okay y’all. Here it is. The END OF THE LINE for The Dark Sparrow Series. And hot damn what a series it was. And it ended with my favorite silver fox of them all- the yummy delicious Oz. 🤤 This author poured some heart soul sweat and tears into this book because I felt all the feels (as per usual with this author) and it was great. I’m just so glad we finally (not that i was in a rush because I’m sad it’s over 🥺) got his book! I’ve really enjoyed learning about his character throughout the series and Inwas almost worried his book would be too hyped up in my head- but it was fantastic. What a great one! And I canNOT finish this review without mentioning Sasha- I really enjoyed her character throughout the series and I’m glad to see her story be told too! She’s so sarcastic and funny- as so many of the Sparrows are. I loved this series and I’m sad to see it coming to an end- although the journey was pretty amazing. Check these out y’all! 💖

Fraught with danger and uncertainty, Lazarus and Sasha’s journey was not for the faint hearted. It was gripping, intense and fast paced. The chemistry between the two was palpable and it was a race against time to find their way through to their HEA. The story was well constructed and meticulously detailed. It was written with fierce determination and the love story to end all love stories was the target. Perfectly executed and a fantastic, well rounded tale that elevated the heart rate and stole my breath. Where nothing turns out quite as expected and tension lurks at every corner, the end game was to make it out alive and protect above all else. Throw in obligation, loyalty and monster slaying, you have yourself one cracker of a story. Never boring, never lacking. Always giving. 5 stars.

This book brought tears to my eyes. Our kids grow up so fast nowadays, it seems like they only believe in Santa for a few short years. I love how the book gives the child a way to choose if they want to believe of not. The illustrations were very nice and complimented the story very well. My 6 year old has been questioning whether Santa is real or not, I can’t wait to read this book to her.

This book we are introduced to Annie. A strega or “witch” in Italian. She is aiming to become a doctor and with her loving fiancée by her side…only she isn’t sure that this doctor thing is her passion, and her fiancée turns out to not be that great as well. Annie soon embarks on a journey to find her calling and her true self. It becomes a eye opening journey that is taken with Annie and the gifts she finds and the strength she gains speak to who she is as well as the connection to women generations before her.
This book was such a great read! Witches and powerful women all entwined in one. The way the story provided past and present combined with a vast family history made it all the more fascinating. This is a first read for me by this author but the way she tells stories I can guarantee its not the last.

I thought I loved book 1, but book 2 absolutely blew me a way! Red has made me want him to be my newest book boyfriend by far! This author makes her MC men flawless and irresistible, and each book only gets better. You can’t read just one book, and once you start you do not stop until its finished. Such a fan of hers! In book 2 we get the story of Red and Cher. They have a past together, but most importantly they share something important that can’t be ignored. This is a tale of second chance love, and acceptance of the unknown. Red was a great guy, and he deserved a happy ending. Together Red and Cher’s story is emotional, steamy, and unforgettable.

I thought this was a really cute book. I read it to my 6-year-old. Having had remote learning last year, one of the lessons the teachers taught a lot was about trying and trying again. I felt this went along with that lesson very well. It also opened up a great discussion about what she is great at, her teachers have told her how kind she is and what a big heart she has. Great book to read and open discussion with your kids.
