The Web of Humanity by Maria Turchin – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

The Web of Humanity: A NovelThe Web of Humanity: A Novel by Maria Turchin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a person who loves solving puzzles and learning about the stories of ancestors, The Web of Humanity was a great choice. The story is one of many themes involving love, friendship, hardship through war, coincidences, and family. It’s a journey about a woman named Anna who becomes interested in her grandmother’s hidden past. Right before her grandmother dies, she gives Anna just a tiny glimpse of the past events that she endured. This glimpse sends Anna’s curiosity sky high, and she begins a journey to find out the whole truth behind her grandmother’s hidden past. While this was a long journey, when reading, it provided inspiration of wonder and full circle moments, and really making you think about what all the connections and events in one’s life really could mean.
