The Traveler (The Traveler, Book 1) by Deborah Dugan really surprised me. When I started the book, I didn’t know what I’d gotten myself into. I felt much like Tristen did when he first saw Harry and I didn’t know how I was going to get through this book. By the time I was done, I loved Harry like an old friend. Who knew that I could love a book whose main character is a spider of all things?! Well written with lovable, relatable characters; I recommend this book to Sci-Fi lovers everywhere. This story is a refreshing take on finding friendship in the most unlikely places. Clever and witty, this book left me in tears. Definitely a wonderful book to start the new year off!

This is the third book in The Shadow Chronicles. It follows the life of Tasha, a vampire, and Levi, a lycan. They ended up fated mates years prior even though there was an ongoing war between the races for years.
A third supernatural species called the Hellspawn, have been obliterating the other species. This caused the war between the vampires and lycans to come to an end to team up and eliminate the Hellspawn.
Ever since the couple got together, everyone has been trying to separate them. Their love has prevailed over and over again but more and more enemies are appearing. Tasha has powers that have reached their full potential with the help of witches.
Mystery still surrounds Tasha’s power. They seem to be the only thing that can kill the stronger Hellspawn. In this book, you follow the life of Tasha, Levi and their families unveiling the mysteries of the past lives of both species.
I loved all three books. They are action filled, romantic, passionate, sexy, mysterious. Who doesn’t love a forbidden love story? I highly recommend reading this series!

Adorable, Magic, love, Spicy, AND a good story? YES YES YES and YES! I had no clue there were other books like this I read this story so fast I dove right back in to reread this and discovered things that I had somehow missed. It is a light read however the way that the author describes everything makes you think she’s getting up for a few books, again had NOOO idea this was a 5/5 book. I look forward to reading this again as well as her other books.

As the overall story line continues for the Masters of the Consulate series this book focuses on Trentino and Angel’s story. As in the first two books of the series there is a BDSM theme and may be a trigger for some. While you could probably read this as a stand alone without massive amounts of confusion I would strongly recommend reading the series in order, things will just make much more sense. In this book we have Trentino, a master vampire and Angel, the niece and sister of several higher ups in the human Syndicate as the main love interests. In a chance meeting at the beginning of their story the two have a quick but intense passing where Trentino becomes positive they will have some kind of future relationship. This almost does not come to pass as enemies try to wipe out her family. Trentino finds her with just enough time to turn her but will not do so without consent. Getting the permission of her brother Trentino starts the process. When Angel comes to she has a lot of prejudices to overcome as she was raise with vampires being the enemy Trentino and Angel continue to spark and realize that they belong together which helps Angel, along with the help of her special gift, overcome her fears quickly. The two work with the others to try and discover who is behind all the treacheries they have all been facing. This has by far been my favorite book of the series so far. I love how all of the characters and relationships among each other continue to grow and the continuing story line continues to draw you in with each added detail. I will definitely be continuing the series as it comes.

This book was epic. It tied so many ends together in an extremely tense and dramatic fashion. The author leaves a slight hint of a possible book 4 which I would love. This series has been an intriguing tale of two love mates that should never have been. They fought together to unite all the supernatural forces against the hellspawn. We all know the war is in full swing, the question is who will win and who will remain alive. This is a definite MUST READ.

As the overall story line continues for the Masters of the Consulate series this book focuses on Christian and Delilahs story. As in the first book of the series there is a BDSM theme and may be a trigger for some. Master Tuscano is pure blood who feel in love with a human and the Consulate makes their unhappiness known to the two. Upon learning that she isn’t what the Consulate deems an acceptable mate for a Master, especially because she has no plans to be converted Delilah runs. While living with a witch coven she is kidnapped, once she is rescued Christian cares for her and tries to prove to her that she is what he wants regardless of the Consulates view. Delilah does not make it easy though. She runs under the pretense that she has to take care of her torturers because she does not want that on Christians head. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned and Christian must turn her or lose her and he just is not willing to do that. As they work to overcome the challenges and misunderstanding between both each other and the consulate While I love Christian’s character Delilah stirs mixed feelings for me. In moments she feels too naive in the story to me but by the end I feel she has matured enough belong. Can’t wait to see how the overall story carries to the next book.

Humans, the Syndicates and Vampires have learned to exist in an uneasy balance. However, the multiple disappearances of women in Las Vegas in a way that points to the Vampires threatens to topple that balance. The Consulate of the Vampires, the ruling party for the Vampires, made up of 12 pure bloods and an Overload decide they must step in. Overlord Salvatore Descallia is invested in finding who is kidnapping humans while trying to frame his people. In order to shadow the investigation, Descallia heads to Vegas. The human’s police department want to place an undercover, Clairvoyant officer before the Vampires become aware of the situation. When Descallia addresses Officer Lucianna Denaro, she decides to work with him to reach the same goal, find the women. Unfortunately, things just do not go as planned. This led Descallia to offer Luce a chance at a second life, as a vampire. The sparks that fly between the two are intense from start to finish. Descallia expects obedience and Lucianna is just as head strong. The characters are well developed, have depth and a connection that neither was expecting. There is a BDSM theme throughout so for some that may be a trigger. I also like that there is a larger story being laid out throughout. Can not wait to see how the how story carries through to the next book in the series.

5 Stars Swipe Right to Bite (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 6) by Carrie Pulkinen
Swipe Right to Bite is the sixth book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. This is a Paranormal Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. I’m a huge of this author and was very excited about this book. This is a perfect blend of Romance and comedy I found myself laughing out loud and getting the look from my three year old. Ha This will grab you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. I got nothing else done for an afternoon of delightful reading. This being the sixth book in this series I highly recommend reading the first five books if you haven’t already. This is a wonderful series definitely going on my list of favorites and re-reads. This is Katrina and Gabes story ,she’s a Succubus who is fasting for her freedom and she runs Swipe Right to Bite which is a an hook-up app for the supernatural. He’s an incubus .These two both are after the same thing but just have different methods to achieve it. I don’t want to give to much away. If you enjoy Paranormal/Romance then this is definitely the book to read. I highly recommend reading to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for more from this Author.

Oh my word, this is one of the best romances I’ve read this year! Yes, it’s early January and this book is funny, romantic and down to earth. It kind of makes me think of a Hallmark movie (minus the octogenarians fooling around). The chemistry between CC and Brant is palpable. The supporting characters are terrific. Having read a few of the other books in the series, I love how the other carries on the story likes its just life in a small town. It can be read as a stand alone but you’ll enjoy it as a series also. The story and the characters are very relatable. Joys of small town life, a fun and quick read that you just have to give a whirl to. I highly recommend this one.
A Fangtastic five-star read. This is number six in the New Orleans Nocturns and it can be read as stand-alone, but they are best read as a series as they are just so good and all of the characters just build into a great world, you would only want to go back and find out more about everyone so do yourself a favour and start from number one. This story will have you chuckling away to yourself, honestly the way this author crafts their characters is just sublime, they feel like the crazies in your life. Who knew a succubi on a diet would be so much fun and so deep.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a very action packed adventure which kept twisting and turning at every turn. You never knew who were the good guys and the bad and the final twist will surprise you most of all. I love both Cam and Lydia characters. Both of them are strong and determined people on their own but their insecurities make them feel human. One thing that you definately feel is the love between them and how strong their desire is to protect each other.
The story starts with Cam being kidnapped. He has buried a ring which is worth a load of money and now the bad guys want it. By kidnapping Cam they can then use Lydia to find this ring in exchange for Cams life. However things don’t go to plan and Lydia is left wondering who is the friend and who is the enemy. Add to this confusion an ex who is trying to worm his way back into Lydia’s life by force if necessary and Lydia has a hell of a job remaining focused on saving her love Cam.

I enjoyed this romance story that has a twist of suspense added to it. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing style as well as their ability to pull me in from the first word. The author’s use of details made the story feel realistic. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next with the characters. The characters are not only relatable but kept the story engaging. I enjoyed how they brought life to the story as well as made it easy to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. Lydia is determined to get her man back. She is faced with bullets and killers as she goes on her adventure through the jungle to get him. I enjoyed her character and is my favorite of the story. She is a determined, strong character who made the story entertaining to read. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

This is not my first audio by this author but it is really worth the listen too. I enjoyed how the narrator’s tones of voice made the story engaging and left me wanting to listen to more. They brought the characters to life and kept it engaging. This is Slick’s story from the Satan’s Devils MC series. His story is a little sad but second chances could mean a happy ever after for him. I loved the characters and what they brought to the story. They are strong, steamy and connectable. This is great audio that I highly recommend. This is a must listen to and you don’t want to miss it.

Slick Running (Satan’s Devils MC #3) AUDIO BOOK by Manda Mellett
5 Stars
It had been awhile since I read this ebook and of course jumped at the chance to have it read to me once again. She did an amazing job picking her narrators for this book and I literally listened to it in a little over a day including breaks.
This one came right out of the shoot tearing at my emotions, and I’m not sure those emotions ever evened out. This one kinda sorta has two storylines, one started back in book #1 and I love the way that was all handled..took me a second and I was like whoa hold on this sounds familiar then I actually went back and paid attention to the times given to me at the beginning of the chapters.
My heart is still completely broken and there’s parts of this book that will still play out later and I’m actually not looking forward to those because I know they aren’t going to be easy. Not going to go into any of that because you really just need to pick this up to appreciate all of the emotions.
Slick has absolutely positively won every ounce of respect I can muster up, I felt so bad for him because he didn’t know the whole story about Ella and what she went through and acted rashly, as well as how Ella was dealing with it all. There are alot of moving parts to this whole book, and in some ways it’s because I know what is to come down the road. This is now another of my favorites from all of these series, although I’ve read them all I still can not wait now to grab every audible going forward.
Please do yourself a favor and lose yourself in this Satan’s Devils world…it is absolutely positively no doubt about it my favorite MC of all books I’ve ever read!

Review: “This tale will draw you in and will delight those who are a bit of an amateur sleuth themselves.” Don’t miss book 3 of this engaging series!
This is my very first book by this author and luckily being it is book 6 in the series I did not need the previous books to enjoy this story. It was written very well and did make me smile a lot and even laugh out loud a few times. I could feel that I missed a lot though by not reading other character stories, and I normally do not do that but it did not take away from this one being a fully enjoyable standalone.
I love reading books that are set in New Orleans, there’s just a feeling that goes along with that setting. I don’t normally read this genre but have heard so many good things about this author and I’m really glad I tried it and am definitely looking forward to reading many more.

Like the rest of my brothers, I’m devastated when disaster hits the Satan’s Devils MC. Shocked and angry, there couldn’t be a worse time to be contacted by the woman I’d briefly made my old lady, only for her to run the moment things got too tough. She’d left me with no explanation, and in my book that was enough to cut her out for good. When she finds herself in trouble Prez makes me go see her and offer my help. But only on the condition she knows what was once between us will stay dead and buried. There had been no good reason for her to run, had there?
Ella
I didn’t run from Slick, I ran from his club, only to find the world outside their protection can be just as dangerous. And now, to protect my little sister, I’ve no alternative other than to ask Slick for help. It’s not good timing, the Satan’s Devils have just lost one of their own.
I understand why Slick wants to keep his distance, I ‘d hurt him when he’d put everything on the line, acting out of character and claiming me as his old lady. A gesture I’d thrown back in his face. But I’m not the same woman he first met. There are things he doesn’t know.
By using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.
Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.

I love a great vampire book and this series continues to truly swoon me in! This is the 3rd book in this series and I can say I love them all but this is my favorite. Trentino ends up saving Angel’s life and has to turn her in order to do so. I also love the sizzling moments between Angel and Trentino and their chemistry that leave my heart racing. Vampires, intrigue, betrayal and steamy scenes all wrapped into a great book!! Highly recommended.

I am not an author, and I have no intention of attenting conventions to sell my unwritten book…but my husband and I do operate a home business, and intend on branching into more areas. We have attended and sold at many farmers markets and vendor fairs, and learned many things about selling to people walking by with trial an error – and this book is really, really great and informative.
It gives you all the tools you need, and it starts with the basics – where to put your name on items, etc. It is the best kind of guide – open, honest, and with lessons learned through her own trial and error. Even if you have no intention of selling items at events, this is an informative read that might help you in other ways. Highly recommend. Outstanding advice. Well done book.

This book came back full circle to focus more on the time travel aspect of the Armstrong and Foster story. We get to examine how the amulet and box work, and just how many times they can be used before the stone disappears completely. If one of them travels forward or backward in time, will they be able to return, or will the chance be lost forever? Maggie and Dylan are both desperately in love with their 16th Century Fosters, and suffer at the thought of being separated. It is really hard to review this one without spoilers!! A LOT happens, and I was thrilled to find out after finishing this one that there will be a 4th book, because I am not ready to let these clans go yet. I’ve really enjoyed reading about Scottish and English history and culture, and getting personal with the values and traditions that were important. The characters in these books are phenomenal, and even the characters that have a smaller role are well-defined and believable. I read all three books back-to-back in a matter of days. When is Book 4 coming??

The adventure and edge-of-your seat action is ramped up in this Book 2. Now that Maggie knows the truth about what happened to her father, and the real nature of Ian Rutherford’s character, she is desperate to protect her beloved, Will Foster. The Armstrong clan are still convinced that smooth-talking “Bonnie Will” has beguiled the innocent Maggie, and that he needs to be brought to justice and she liberated. They are on the run, trying to escape the long arm of the law, and save Will from certain death in the gallows. But can they run forever? What will it take to save the star-crossed lovers? The Armstrong and Foster clans clash yet again, and while both believe they are doing the best by Maggie, they are at odds. Tensions run very high in this novel, and the plot turns on split-second decisions. My heart was definitely pounding in places, and shed some tears in others. Very emotional and exciting continuation to this series.

Wow! Really is all I can say. This was my first C.R. Robertson book and it definitely won’t be my last! It was a new take on star-crossed lovers. Tasha drove me crazy with how stubborn she could be but she is an amazing warrior that stands up for what’s right. Levi. Swoon! He is a hunky loner of a wolf that will not let anyone stand in his way of what is his. I am ready to see where their story takes me!

This is a fantastic start to series that I am already loving. 19-year-old Maggie Armstrong gets sent back to 16th Century Scotland with her father and best friend, and finally gets to experience having the loyal family she’s always dreamed of. But family relations aren’t as easy as they seem, and Maggie chafes under women’s obligations in the 1500s. I love that she is a strong, stubborn, tenacious woman, very much her father’s daughter, and stands up for herself and her beliefs no matter the cost. While the life of border reivers can be violent and short, she appreciates the joy, love, and simplicity of strong family ties and protecting your own. This novel has plenty of battles, betrayals, and love stories to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Book 1 is the start of what I expect to be an epic saga, and I am here for it!

Katrina is a demon succubus fasting for her freedom from the Devil. She hopes to ignore her nature long enough for him to just forget all about her. She has created a dating app to help herself by helping others, but in walks Gabe to ruin everything including her business! Katrina is determined to kick him out of her city once and for all. Unfortunately Gabe has other plans and deals to make. They are both going to make things very hard on each other! Can the two of them get along or will they destroy each other? This is a funny paranormal romantic comedy that you won’t want to put down! I read this as a stand alone, but I can’t wait to read the others to the set!!

I was skeptical at first but I’m glad I took the leap and read this book. I loved it! How two supernatural societies, that were mortal enemies, evolved into a truce for the greater good for both groups showed great growth throughout. Tasha, a vampire, who has never felt like she belonged. Levi, a lycan, has always been a loner due to his black fur pattern, which has always been viewed as out of control. Mortal enemies that came together not only to fight a common enemy but as mates. Tasha and Levi met the summer before they were meant to go into their respective armies, to learn to fight one another. A drop from a tree and two bites later, they thought they killed one another. That never happened; they both survived, creating a bond that summer that could never be broken. 20 years was the service time they both needed to serve, after that they promised one another they would meet each other in Paris. Come 10 years later a new enemy has emerged which forges them to cross paths once again. Never forgetting their connection they join together to find out what is killing both of their species faster than anything ever has. The growth and love between these two characters is exponential in itself and makes me look forward to continuing their story in book two!

Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, what are we going to do with you both?!?! In Forbidden Mate we are entertaining book 2 of Tasha and Levi’s story. It’s definitely one I’m sucked into and can’t wait to read book 3. You really need to read the 1st book before jumping into this one, or you will have a lot of unanswered questions. The Master Hellspawn is still after Tasha, book 2 picks up a few months after book 1 ends. Castus is also after Tasha. So not just one enemy but two! It’s definitely worth the read, the bond between Tasha and Levi is wonderful and keeps getting stronger. If you like vampires or lycans trust me when I say it’s definitely worth the read!

Perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy! Forbidden Moon was exactly that and more. Tasha and Levi’s love story comes full circle to start this book, with not only a child, but venturing back to where they first met. Which will be the first time since they spent their initial summer together. With Castus dead, the only things after Tasha now are the Hellspawn. They are getting stronger and more persistent. After finding out Tasha is bound to be a sorceress also learns how to utilize and contain her magic better. I don’t want to give too much away because you really need to read all 3 books. So if you’re stumbling upon this book, start with book 1 in the trilogy. If you already read book 1 & 2, what are you waiting for?!?! The author did an amazing job with the trilogy so you need to do it justice and read all 3!!!

Great series! It ties in police detective work with vampires. The real world, in this case, is the human world we know, mixed in with vampire bars and a vampire overlord. If you like vampires, world building, police work, and romance, this series is for you.

Well I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when starting this book but I certainly was not disappointed. I think that this book is a very good resource for authors. This author does a fantastic job of setting up the foundations on how to get more traffic for books and find audiences. I was very impressed with the detail and step by steps. I was not aware of all the different types of conventions. I personally have met two authors at a convention and was introduced to their series and I have to say I was hooked on both and I think that this book is a great tool for authors who are starting out and also those who are well versed as they can always find new audiences as well. I find it impressive of the knowledge shared and look forward to more from this author. Reviewed by @caraleeloonat View all my reviews
