I could not put this book down! The author’s ability to portray so much detail in such a short amount of time was phenomenal! The reader is sucked in from chapter one when Thomas sets out on a hike. What he experiences on this journey is so engrossing that I didn’t want to stop reading. I really hope that there is a second book so I can see more of Thomas and April. I loved their connection!

I really enjoyed this short romance. Even though its a short story the passion is so hot and steamy and it jumps right off the pages.
Leslie is a firefighter with Firehouse 15. She had worked hard for her job and she is trying to earn the respect of her colleagues. What she doesn’t need or want is a man to change that. That is until she meets Trevor.
Trevor is a professional footballer. He’s used to women throwing themselves at him so when he meets Leslie with her cold almost uninterested ways he can’t help himself being drawn to her and wanting to know more.
The couple meet and have a one night stand. That’s all Leslie was after but now they have an attraction that neither of them can deny. Can they work their careers and relationship out? Will they get a happily ever after or will something in their jobs really mess things up for them?
Anton Kingston could not get out of California fast enough to have in search of everything he never had growing up. Raising to fame and becoming Hollywood’s hottest leading man in countless box office hits. Elsa Fitzgerald is New York Cities elite royalty. Growing up she was raised to act the part of a proper lady, to never show weakness, and to never let a man see you cry. She is the number one real estate agent in NYC, the penthouse of her dreams, the social like any woman her age would love to have. But when Hollywood walks into NYC who knew that there would be fireworks. Elsa and Anton’s relationship is perfect but can there really be a perfect relationship? Anyone who reads this book will fall in love with their love story. The first year of marriage will test even the most perfect of relationships. Will Elsa and Anton be able to survive this bump in the road or will their north star lead them back into each other’s arms? When I started reading this book I fell in love with not only the characters but also their relationship with each other. There were many tears throughout because I could feel the pain Elsa was going through. This is most definitely a must-read. Keep in mind there are triggers such as miscarriage, depression, infertility, drug, and alcohol dependency.

Yet another razor sharp dabble into the dark world of mafia men and women. Enemy lurked around every corner with evil intent. It was a real nail biting thrill to read. Now, to the characters. Loved them. Charisma, chemistry and raw soul deep attraction ran rampant between the leading couple. In a world as deadly as theirs, deals and dastardly agreements were as normal as breathing. This story had intrigue, mystery, suspense and a flair for the dramatic. A colourful and brilliantly written story, with characters that were built to withstand the worst this dangerous life could throw at them. They dealt with everything that came their way with ruthless tenacity and grace. While life was often ugly and uncertain, the love the leading pair had was limitless and it would take more than the underworld to bring them down. Truly epic. 5 stars.
This book is book two of the series and can be read as a standalone but the books are so good you’d only be missing out.
Elsa and Anton seemingly have it all but yet can’t wait to fill the missing piece in their lives. More than anything, Elsa has wanted to get married and have kids. What they expected to be easier ends up being difficult and a little tragic. Will their marriage sustain this blow or will everything be destroyed.
The author did a great job with these characters. Outside of their elite status, they were relatable as was their marriage. They had real struggles that many couples face and overall they were very well written. This story was emotional but you can’t help but get sucked in.

Spicy and saucy, that’s what this book brings to mind. Kind of what you wish TV fire station shows could be. Leslie is already battling stereotypes trying to fit in to the Cleveland firehouse 15. She works with a bunch of chauvenistic jerks. Putting up with a lot of guff is parr for the course. Trevor is a gorgeous football player she meets at a Bob Ross paint class. The chemistry is just right and BANG!! the rest is history. They have a couple of pretty big challenges to get through but they do. Sacrifices are made. True love is shown and always wins. The story is well-written. I enjoyed the plot. Watching their relationship develop and them learn about each other was special. The characters were awesome. I felt like they could have been straight off a fire show. Well-done. I really enjoyed the book. I’m looking forward to reading more. I recommend you give this one a go.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I enjoyed it. This romance is a short story. One amazing night with a wildcat firefighter was all it was meant to be. But he can’t stop thinking about her. Firefighting is her life, and no man will ever get in the way of that. It is full of humour sass and feisty attitudes with lots of push and pull, angst and frustrations. Grab a copy for a little afternoon delight.
I have not read one book from this author that I have not thoroughly loved. I see Amy’s name and must get the book; it really is a no brainer. Her writing is addictive, and I am hooked. This is another explosive story for this wonderful series. The intensity and anticipation are palpable and just explodes of the pages. This author does dark mafia romance suspense like no one else. It is rife with angst and fear, violence and danger, darkness, and secrets, and lies. The complex threads that Amy weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
She thought she had more time but now she is once again in the fight for her life.
Luca Rossi has been following Aly Mancini since she was sixteen. As the only witness to the murder, Aly decides not to inform her father. When her brother, Jonny, dies, Pierre Mancini tells Aly she is required to marry Coy. Despite her protests, Mancini kept her captive in his home. The evening before her wedding, Luca appears. After a brief struggle, Luca drugged Aly. When she awakens, Aly finds herself a prisoner and Luca’s bride to be. The Rossi family directly opposes the Mancini family. Luca’s marriage to Aly would be a powerful move to end the Mancini family. There is a problem with the plan. Luca and Aly both have powerful feelings for one another. The loyalty to each family is the only issue preventing them from confessing their feelings to one another. What will it take to tip the balance?
An engaging Mafia romance, I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of relatable characterizations made throughout the story. Luca’s coldness was his defensive armor, and I fully understand why he did his best not to show any weakness to anyone. Growing up, she never found favor by the Mancini family. The result from one of Pierre’s affairs. She didn’t have the same loyalty to her father and went to incredible lengths to make sure she was not dependent on him for her own business success. Mancini’s attempt to manipulate Aly disgusted me. The suspense of this story is epic, and I would recommend this book to any adult reader who loves a slow burn romance with inconceivable twists.
Leslie McClunis is one of only a few women in the fire department. She has put up with a lot while putting in time at Firehouse 15. When she meets Trevor Hampton in a painting class she only meant for them to have one steamy night together. Trevor had other plans though and the rest as they say is history. Overall I did enjoy this book. This is the first book I’ve ever ready by this author and I do look forward to the rest of the series.
How does this series just get better and better with each new addition? Well, because Amy McKinley is a talented author who really knows her stuff, and is an absolute Rockstar in her field, that’s how! I never have to consider whether I will read one of her books, it is always going to be a massive YES from me. So, I happily snatched up a copy of this book as soon as it hit the shelves and jumped right in, inhaling the story in a matter of hours. And yes, as you might have guessed, it’s another winning entry in this fantastic series!!! Savage Secrets is the fourth thrilling book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. As with the other instalments, this is a riveting mafia romance- romantic suspense at it’s best, with an action-packed plot this story is definitely one you won’t want to miss. Now I can’t wait for ‘Ruthless Heir (Book #5) to release! Happy Reading!

This book is sooo good! It had me hooked from the very first page. I’ve been dying to learn more about Elena and Marco since I started this series and I was definitely not disappointed! There was so much action and romance in this book and the love between Elena and Marco just melts me! He’s so sweet and protective and tender with her and she’s such a total spitfire. She’s been through so much and faces even more once she’s back home with Marco. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and there were some terrifying parts but the ending was everything. This is a book you definitely won’t want to miss and I am counting the days till the next book in this series is released. If you haven’t read the others yet do yourself a favor and read them, not just for the background info on everyone but because they are all such amazing books!

This second book of the Titans of Manhattan, grabs you quickly just like the first book of the series. Sometimes being a famous superstar and having everything in live isn’t what it’s always perceived to be. Let Anton and Elsa take you on their journey and show you battles of life and what true love is. I can’t wait to read the additional books of this series knowing I won’t be disappointed

Imperfectly Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #2) by Anise Storm
This is another amazing read by the author. The first book of the Titans of Manhattan was good, but Imperfectly Yours is better. It is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend checking out the first book.
Elsa is loving the life she has right now. She’s got a great man, not one that she expected. Things become hard and she isn’t sure that they’ll survive it. The quote I chose for Elsa is: “You’re home. I thought you needed to stay in Shanghai until the end of the month. What’s wrong?”
Anton loves being famous, but he loves being home even more. He loves Elsa and would do anything for her. Things are getting hard and he doesn’t know which way to go. The quote I chose for Anton is: “That saying about there being no place like home is right. F**k, I missed my wife and even you three.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
This author really blew me away with this story and plot. Upon seeing the cover for this book and reading the synopsis I knew that I had to read this book. But I was blown away by the roller coaster adventure ride that the author takes us on. The characters were simply amazing, the attention to detail, and the overall plot was phenomenal. Personally I loved how the details left me with vivid beautiful visuals. So if your looking for a great new read this weekend from a creative author, then I suggest you pick this one up today.

This story follows Elsa and Anton as they go through some of the most difficult times of their life and how they navigate it. Decisions and mistakes are made that lead to heartbreak after they seem to lose everything will they find their way back to each other?
This story is heavy. It will keep you engaged and hoping for a happy ending. There are so many things that Elsa and Anton go through that are relatable and utterly heartbreaking. There are triggers before you read this book and it could be a hard read if you have gone to some of the similar things that Elsa goes through. It was emotionally charged and excellently written.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to read a book about overcoming some of the darkest times in your life and how even though all feels lost there will always be another day and it can get better.

This story is so suspenseful. I couldn’t get enough of it! Laura did an amazing job at developing the characters and story lines. It’s such an amazing and original dystopian story. I couldn’t put it down at all. If you want a good fantasy dystopian book, I highly recommend this story!

This was a a feel good romance that was sweet, steamy, and fun. Trevor and Leslie had a chemistry and connection that was not going away. Leslie was focused on her job as a female firefighter, and trying to show her team she is just as good as one of the men. Meeting Trevor and having their one night stand throws everything off. Trevor is sweet and possessive. He is a teddy bear Alpha type all rolled in one. As a successful defensive end in the NFL for Cleveland he is determine to make Leslie his. As he fights to show Leslie they are meant to be, Leslie battles the men of the firehouse and the ill treatment she continues to verbally and physically receive. Will Leslie and Trevor make it to find their HEA, or will her desire to prove herself be the downfall for them both?

I came into this reading book two I feel like I wasn’t missing anything. It was a nice stand alone book. It hits on the hard topics like miscarriage, drug and alcohol abuse. The book was well written and the story progressed really well. This is the first time I’ve read where the couple was already married and not them just getting together and end up married. Watching the main characters self progression through the trails made me feel for them and like I was right there going through it with them. It was a book I really enjoyed and it pulled on my heart strings. There were a few moments where I found myself crying. Well done author. this was beautiful story.

This isn’t my first read by this author and it won’t be my last. This second Titans novel really caught my attention for several reasons, like the REAL life lows that aren’t often written about. It really was heartbreaking to experience the loss, tragedy, and spiral along with Elsa, but it was beautifully written. There were a few times when I wanted to strangle Anton for being so self-centered and seemingly cold towards Elsa, but he was essentially the product of his past experiences, so it’s hard to hold it against him. Otherwise, his character was quite swoon-worthy. If you are prepared for reading through some tough times, I’d strongly suggest this book to anyone. Great read!

I love getting lost in this series! The real world has just been a lot lately, it was so great to dive into the fourth installment of this mafia series! I’ve been looking forward to Elena’s story since we first learned that she might be alive. I loved the chemistry between Elena and Marco. Elena, like her friends in previous stories, is one B.A woman who’s main goal is to protect those she cares about. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Another great installment in this series! The title says it all…it is chock full of secrets. I loved trying to figure them out while reading. This book is an easy, interesting read and I easily wanted to finish it in one day. I struggled putting it down because I was very interested in Elena. She has been a secretish character in most of the series. She is full of crazy skills, charm and smarts. She is my favorite character. Marco is the normal possessive mafia guy, who has his own secrets, and I did like him but Elena and her story took the lead.
I did love seeing all the girls and their husbands. It just enjoy how they are always there for each other.
Overall a great book and I thought this could be the end but nope. I’m telling you..this book is full of secrets. Anyway I love the characters and the storyline and can’t wait for more.

This is the second book in the Realm Chronicles. Tricia Copeland is an author that I picked up because I know I will not be disappointed. Being this is the second book in the series, I highly recommend reading the first book to get the introduction to Titania and her strength. This book is full of adventure, magic, action, danger, and good vs. evil. Being this is the second book in the series, I highly recommend reading the first book to get the introduction to Titania and her strength. The realm that she has created is amazing. I feel like I am there inside the story. Her attention to detail is astonishing. The characters are complex and connectable. In this book, we are with Titania, who is holding the one who is protecting her realm from evil. She has to have eyes all around her because there is evil out to get her at every turn. If you love books about fantasy and Fae, this series is for you. You will have to read to see what is in store for Titania.

There’s always been a pull between Elena and Marco. However, she has to go into hiding from the Russian mafia; leaving everyone behind thinking that she is dead. Marco finds out she’s alive and goes to retrieve her before the Russians can find her. To give her added protection, he marries her. As the heat on Elena ramps up, will they be able to find out why the Russians want her so bad? Can Marco protect her from them, if he finds out?
I am really enjoying this series! I love how the women are not just side pieces needing to be protected. They are strong in their own right, together. The men are typical Alpha males that love their women deeply and will destroy anyone that hurts them. The intricacies of all of their relationships are fun to read. Makes me wonder if the mafia is still alive and well! Can’t wait for the next book!!
This is the second book in the author’s Titans of Manhattan series, and is a love story between Anton and Elsa. Anton is a Hollywood actor in love with Elsa who is a realtor in New York City. The book takes us through the first year of their marriage and all the difficulties that they endure. Be warned there could be some triggering topics within the story such as addiction, loss, and depression. Tragedy continues to strike the couple and between that and Anton always being away, strain is left on the marriage. Elsa ends up not dealing with the life struggles she has and turns to drugs instead of her husband. However, Anton sticks by his wife whose life became very difficult to live and never gave up on her; he knew all about that difficult life, too, his childhood was full of tragedy. They always said the first year of marriage was the toughest, this couple shows us just that, but also shows how when love is present, there are ways through the pain.
One of the things I love to find in any book I read is the life lessons that can be learned. Through all of the struggles, this couple shows us so many of these life lessons. I loved that the author made Elsa feel real, when I read what she was going through, I could imagine exactly how that feels. However, Elsa consistently made me upset because of the assumptions she projected about her husband. She was always so quick to push him away and assume the worst, instead of taking a moment to listen. Anton showed us that men have feelings, care, and are more than what assumptions have produced. He also showed us that when you love so deeply, you will find a way to support, stick by their side, and find a way to get through it because the love and the people involved are worth it.

This book was an interesting read, Thomas, the main character is an older man. He is still quite spry despite his age and enjoys going hiking, on this particular hike he is in for quite a surprise.
I honestly like the mechanics of travelling to another world, I thought it was quite unique. This other world had some very interesting set pieces, that I would love to be able to learn more about in a sequel or even prequel. My only real issue is that the story seemed to end almost abruptly, though it was teasing for a sequel at the same time, so maybe I’ll get my wish there.
The book was well written, and had some fun little pop culture references, you could really imagine the main characters, and I could easily see myself chatting away with them like an old friend.

Sinful Vow (Dark Mafia Sins Book 1) by Emilie Bowie 4 Stars
This is the first book that I have read from this author. I really enjoyed it. It was well written with a story that kept me interested. I love dark mafia novels. They are full of danger, intrigue and sexual tension. Luca is the heir to the Rossi family and Aly is the illegitimate child of the Mancini family. They should be sworn enemies but one fateful day they crossed paths and their lives have been intertwined ever since. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. This enemies to lovers story is captivating and kept me on edge. There were parts that were definitely intense. I will be looking out for more books written by this author.

This is a very well written historical mystery. The Bear at Midnight is the 4th book in the Orkneyinga Murders Series, and it continues to set the bar high as the previous 3 books did. I am a huge advocate of reading books in book order, that is almost a necessity for this series. While you can read them out of order, you will not get the full effect of the story. This book follows the Earl of Orkney and his hunt to find a killer. I am not typically a fan of historical mysteries, but this one was well written, had great characters and the suspense throughout the book, kept me tied to the pages. 4 out of 5 stars.
