This is one dark paranormal, fantasy story you are going to love. It is a unique tale that is full of emotions and action, twist and turns. The characters are well written and well developed. The world building is skilfully built and carefully crafted. With a plot that is fast-paced and is gripping and engaging, you will not want to put this book down. The vividness allows us as a reader to enjoy every nuance of this authors storytelling. It does start out a bit slow but that is because the author is building the foundation for this layered and exciting tale. What would you do for the price of freedom?

Book 2 of The Traveler was just as great as book 1 if not better. The author has told this story in such a way that the characters emotional journey is your own. This book takes us more in depth as well as gives more insight about Harry and this next cycle of his life. This book was very heartfelt, emotional, and addicting from page 1. The Traveler shares life lessons and experiences many times over.

This Fantasy story is the 3rd book in the Anchoress series & I recommend reading these in order to get the very best reading experience & the previous books are just as good! I thought this book was well written and I liked the authors writing style throughout the series. I loved this quick paranormal romance! This author never disappoints. I really like how Lock didn’t just jump in and questioned things. Rex is so patient and understanding. Brix knows how to tell it like it is and take control when needed. The perfect best friend for this type of situation. If you’re looking for a good quick paranormal romance then this is it!
Doctor in the Outback is the third book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton. This is a sweet contemporary romance, set in a small town in the Australian Outback. The story is wonderfully woven with heartwarming emotion, humour, some drama, chemistry, and family dynamics. The series follows the Carruthers siblings, who each get their own book- Sindy (Book One), Jonas (Book Two), Scott (Book Three), and Yolanda (Book Four). This is Scott and Franceen’s story, and is one on my favourites of Ms. Flockton’s books, so far. We have met Scott in the previous two books, being the twin brother of Sindy. He is the Doctor in charge of the only hospital in the nearby town. He’s been kept so busy running the hospital that he has very little time for anything else. When he finally gets some help, it comes with different complications- the sexy alluring kind that he can’t seem to keep his mind off. Franceen Lewis moved to the outback for a fresh start after tragedy struck, and then her marriage failed. She just wanted to focus on her career and rebuilding a life for herself. She was totally unprepared for the intense attraction to her new boss, or the chemistry between them. But having experienced so much pain in her past, will Franceen risk it all for a chance at love again? This wonderful story is well worth the read to find out…. As always, I can count on Nicole Flockton to deliver a captivating story as I was pulled into another engrossing story that wouldn’t let me put it down till I had read every last word. Leslie is one heck of a wildcat. Trevor is on heck of a football player and between the two of them they light up the sheets in what was a very sexy one night stand. But then Trevor decides he wants more. Will Leslie give in or tell him to get lost since she is having a heck of a time at Firehouse 15. This book follows their journey as they try to tackle the flames they create and try to figure out how to have a life together with all the obstacles in their way.
This is a well written book about the dynamic between a slave owner and a slave. The language and dialectics is what I would assume they spoke then. Disclaimer there is a lot of graphic sexual encounters in this so reader beware.
I really enjoyed the story of Cate and Patti. The plot was engaging and full of twists and secrets that kept the reader’s attention. I had a hard time putting the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen and how the truth would be set free. There were so many layers folding into the story and it was a different crime book than the types I normally read. I would recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

This was a great read! A great continuation of this series. It did take me a bit to get into, because I had to go back and remember some of the characters mentioned from previous books, as it has been a while since I’ve read them. This can be read as a standalone but you get more bang from this book when you read the other books first. This was entertaining and enthralling with a great storyline. I was immerses from the first chapter and really enjoyed being on the journey with Scott and Franceen. It was just an all around good read. I can’t wait to read the next one soon!

What a great book! Really enjoyed reading how much Tess loved vintage things enough to open a store. Great twist in the story with paranormal aspects, a murder, some romance, and a connection to the past that may not have been truly shared until now. The book kept my interest and I devoured the story in just a couple of nights. The characters in the story are well written, the back and forth from present day to the past helped me understand the differences between the times. I would recommend this book to friends or anyone that loves a great mystery in a heartbeat.

I have read several books by this author and this story, like the others, doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed reading about the lifelong friendship between Cate & Patti. Like many of us, the friendship changes as the two grow old but they have always been there for each other in the time of need. An event from their past is distressing Cate to a point she reaches out to Patti for strength and support. How will these friends cope through the murder case that is being reopened and will they still be friends when the secret is revealed? Overall, I thought the characters were well written, I was able to connect with them and remember those life long friends in my own life.

I now want to spend the day lounging around and drawing tentacled lovers! This book was such a cute, fun read! The characters were relatable and the story was so easy to get sucked into. Not to mention, the romance was really cute. Lock is just going about life, doing his best when a late night gas stop changes his life. Nothing is the same after that. From gumballs, so octopi, to tentacles, this story was a hoot. I immediately thought Rex was a sweet baby angel and was on his side. I would have liked more in this world, but I absolutely would read again. If you are looking for a light, quick, funny book, I definitely recommend this one.
Phenomenal. This author is consistently good; I love everything I read by her, and this is no exception. The characters always have such depth and the relationships are palpable. Nostalgia oozes through the pages on this book and a the friendship between Cate and Patti will give you all the feels. These two have been through a lot together, including a major trauma they have kept secret for decades—and has also kept them apart. Even with all of the time that has passed, their bond is just as strong, but with their secret coming back into the fold, can the best friends survive the revival of this trauma?
The shifting from past to present and building of the story was engaging and keeps you turning the pages until the end. Pick this one up!

Our main characters both show so much emotion, that you can’t help but relate to them, both have been hurt before but can they open themselves back up to love again? This story was so full of emotion, births, accidents, serious obstacles that you can’t help but feel like your on a roller coaster ride that’s full of wild twists and turns. Will put characters open themselves back up? Could a happy ending be worth risking a heart break again? You’ll have to pick up a copy of this book to find out for yourself!

This is my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last! This book has a little bit of everything. It has love, friendship, romance, and mystery. It’s a beautiful story of the friendship of Cate and Patti, and one night that changed the course of that friendship. Cate killed a man and they have been keeping it a secret for twenty years. Patti left town to go to college and never looked back. The case has been reopened, so Cate goes and brings Patti home, afraid of what will happen with the case being reopened. This book is awesome! It’s full of twists and turns, and is so well written. I will definitely be reading more from this author, she has a beautiful way of telling a story.

I fell in love with this twist of several fairy tales. Cathal and Eala are just wanting to live a life together. He’s a prince and she’s trapped (and did I mention Queen of the Swans) in a cage. Well-written and engaging, the characters in this story will either win you over or you will hate them. You’ll find yourself rooting for our couple to get through their challenges. The characters in the story are described so well that you feel like you could know them. Like every fairy tale, your emotions will go up and down as the tale progresses. Loved it. I recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this story of the strength of family bonds…even when that family is the one we choose! Cate and Patti have both been living with the weight of guilt and secrets that could have been lessened if they had been open and honest with those around them. As this story unfolded, I found myself tearing up more than once. There was just so much to unpack…so many layers…and each was as devastating as the last. An emotional book that packed a punch while soothing the soul. Overall…a great book!

I am a first time reader for this author, this book was so darn addictive. I could not let this book be put down for even a second. I loved how addictive the story was, and how connectable the characters were. I was amazed, intrigued, and of course head over heels in love with the story this book held!
This book was a romance story that was completely different from past books that I have read. I loved how good the story was even when it was first developing. It was a deep and passionate and had the right amount of hot sauce that kept my senses tingling, and my emotions up to par when ever needed. It had everything. I loved how things went with this book and the story of Jeremy and Regan. they had that whirl wind romance, but with every strong wind, it is going to calm down. I loved how these two souls were faced with challenges, and literally, was at risk at losing everything, and it for sure seemed easier to walk away. My emotions were all over the place when reading, from happiness to anything less than joy. I could not put this book down, it held me good, and kept me interested, there was a lot turns here and there, and I had to keep reading to see what would develop next. Amazing hot read. Loved it so much!

This is a very fun story to read. It’s has a great amount of humor in for such a short book. The plots and story lines work very well and the connection between the characters is immense. One of the things that pulls me into Namoi books is her writing style as it’s very fresh and unique to her.
When Lockwood needs something to keep him awake after a long day at work, the impulsive decision to get a gumball will change his life forever. From not feeling well, to a new eye and hair color, to being able to manifest objects that he is thinking about….Lockwood has no idea what is going on or how to control it. He quickly learns that there is a whole other world of supernatural creatures that exist…and that someone close to him has been hiding things from him for years. As the truth comes out, Lockwood must figure out how to deal with these changes…which requires him to make a decision that will change not only his life, but the future of an entire species.
This book was. a quick read…and I did not put it down until I got to the last page. There was so much going on in so few pages. I found myself enjoying all of the secondary characters and hoping everything turned out okay for Lockwood. Overall, an enjoyable story that is nothing like I’ve read before!
I have been a loyal fan to this author as well as this series for quite some time. I LOVE truly how each story is different, and upholds itself in a special way. The characters in this one were relatable, and wonderful all at the same time. The story was a beautiful read, and it was very realistic, and the story was connectable!
As with the other books in the series, the story is worthy with the turns the stories can and do take. I love that personally. This one was good in so many ways. Amara and Petro were hard not to love! Both career driven to get what they want in the world of business, but is that really what they want, when they agree to do a “pretending act” together, to help seal and sweeten the deal? I loved how their connections were felt, but ignored. And neither noticed what they had going on at first glance. What they had was real yes, but they had to work for it, and I mean really work for it! With all great things, sacrifices are not far behind. When it comes down t getting what you want, how can you be sure what that really is? There was a lot of character growth as well. And as the plot thickened, the walls between Amara and Petro seemed to decrease more and more. It was a wonderful read, that you get caught up in, and simply can not let go of once you begin reading! Highly recommend the book and series! Loved it!

This novel is 165 pages in length and follows Leon and Penny. It is the 1800’s in South Carolina and Leon likes Penny. The only problem is, Penny is a slave. So, he devises a plan on how to obtain her. He plans to buy her, teach her, and then take her for himself. But Penny is the one that ends up teaching him. A terrific historical romance novel!
This was a first time author for me, but this book was a powerful read for me, and one I could not simply get enough from. I loved the lay out of the story, the characters, the plot twists and turns, and was simply on the edge of my seat swept away in all things that happened through out this delightful book!
I loved the fantasy and paranormal mix that crafted this story. It was different, but certainly in a good way. It made me think, at what dues would we pay to have a life we want? That was something the character Julia was faced with. Basically live the truest form of her life at a cost, or lost it all to something that was no even close to what she would define as happy. I loved the plot twists that developed after her decision. key the thoughts of all magic come with a price, and this story made that to be true. The story was very visual for the reader as well, very easy to get lost into the details and envision you are in the world in which the book takes place. The book was amazing, and so was this author! I can not wait for the next in the series, I need more, kind of right now sort of thing! Amazing read!

So many stories about true soulmate love are romantic, but this beautiful story is about how a best friend can be your soulmate. This story reminded me of the relationship that I have with my best friend. This book is about two best friends that have to deal with life’s hardships, both together and separately, and how real friendship lasts through it all. Although I figured out most of the plot twist fairly early on, I was still slightly surprised at the very end. I loved the way it ended and I would definitely recommend this book as a feel-good story. This was the first book I have read by this author, but I would definitely read more from her.

On the way to his mom and dad’s house late one night Lockwood King decides to stop at a corner gas station. Tired and not wanting to have caffeine because it’s so late he instead chooses a gumball. He finds it odd that the gumball is black because he’s never seen one before. He tries it anyhow and wishes that he hadn’t because he can’t believe how ghastly and disgusting the thing tastes. It leaves a horrendous taste in his mouth even after he spits it out. Lockwood thinks nothing more of it until he wakes up the next day and discovers some strange things. Little does Lockwood know that this one gumball will change his entire life.
Suddenly there’s something that he realizes is a little bit different about him. His eyes are changing color. His hair is turning color. Things just get weirder and weirder as suddenly before him appears a cigar smoking octopus named Clyde. Then Lockwood himself starts growing tentacles. What on Earth is going on?! He realizes that there are outside forces at work, and it must be some sort of magic. With the help of his best friend, he starts delving into the mystery of what is happening to him.
This book was an interesting read filled with magic, laughs, wackiness and some truly bizarre things. I sat down and read it from cover to cover in one sitting. It was just such an intriguing read that I had to sit and find out what was going to happen next in this wacky world of this poor guy named Lockwood. It was an amazing, wacky, fun, and creative book by a fantastic author and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wow! This author did a spot-on job of describing the worry knot of living with special needs siblings. I grew up with 3 brothers with special needs and that worry knot was intense. Though written for middle school readers, adult readers can still read and relate. I have now also raised 1 autistic child and am raising my autistic grandson so I can relate to both boys and the parents. Intense emotions throughout the whole book. The characters are relatable. The plot choppiness was actually part of the story because that isn’t a life that runs smooth. Again, the author did a fantastic job with writing this. I did read the author notes and I just want to say that this is high up on my favorites for 2022. I would give it more than a 5 if I could. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
