Unlock the Angel is the first of the Seraphim Angel Order series by Calla Zae. Cathy Lu owns her own business and has decided to make expansions to here home for her business. Just coming off a breakup she decides she will work on the project herself while she is looking for a contractor. Enter Daedrial, a seraph, is on earth searching for a betrayer who just so happens to have experience in building. Daedrial offers to do the work for Cathy in exchange for her help, but doesn’t explain with what. As the two spend time together, both realize they are interested in the other. Will Daedrail’s commitment for finding the betrayer stop him from going after what he wants? Will Cathy be able to admit her feelings and pursue them? It’s worth it to find out. I absolutely loved this book. The characters are interesting and have depth. The descriptions of the worlds make you feel immersed in them yourself. I did feel there were a few things that could have had more description but I have feeling that they will probably be expanded on in the books that follow in the series. I would highly recommend reading this unique take on the Angels and their worlds.
