Amy’s Santa (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Shelly Kittell

Amy's Santa: Satan's Devils MC (Second Generation) #1Amy’s Santa: Satan’s Devils MC (Second Generation) #1 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series is one of my favorites. Amy’s Santa is book 1 of the Satan’s Devils MC (Second Generation). She is Heart’s daughter and one courageous chick. Dealing with the aftermath of trauma, Amy comes home to the Devil’s at Christmas. A big secret is revealed that the Devil’s will help to take care of. Wizard (Drew) is Amy’s childhood crush that broke her heart. There is some rekindling and remending. They find that they must work through some big challenges. Drew is patient and so in love with her. He will do what is necessary. Amy never stopped loving him. There is a plot twist I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait to get to Book 2 to see how that is taken care of. This book was really good. The family theme was there. Yes, it’s a motorcycle gang but they take care of each other. They have each others backs. They have basically raised each others kids. It is one big community. You can feel the emotional pain as Amy reveal’s her secret to Drew and Heart. You can feel joy as things change. The plot runs really smooth even with trying to run two plots and updating on where the older members went off to. I was intrigued and couldn’t put it down. I do have to say it ends on a cliffhanger. On to book 2……. I highly recommend you read this one if you like romance, adventure, and steam.

Twisted Throttle Book #3 (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Shelly Kittell

Twisted Throttle (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #3)Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 3 in the series…the story of Throttle (Noah) and Gwen. Throttle is Peg’s son. Throttle, the enforcer, is faced with a stalker and problems from some rivals all while romancing Gwen. They end up facing some crazy stalkers and rivals wanting revenge. What’s amazing is that they come out stronger (and pregnant) on the other end of it. The club, as always, has their back. The author has again developed well-thought out characters. The plot is so feasible. The characters are an MC gang yet you wish they could be your big brothers. This author has a way of writing that can leave you feeling every emotion there is as you are reading. So amazing, her writing is spectacular. One of my favorites! You have got to read this series. It can be read as a stand alone or as a series.

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Shelly Kittell

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was mindblowing. Marvel and Virginia are caught in a bank robbery. That makes for a great first impression. Marvel is one of the old timers with The Satan’s Devil’s MC. He is kind of the grumpy old man of the group. We do get some insight into why he is the way he is. He and Virginia face some major challenges in this story. Marvel has met his match. The question is……Can they get through this?? You are going to have to read this to find out. I can promise that this is one story you just can’t put down. The whole Satan’s Devil’s series and 2nd generation will grab you in and not let go of you. The characters are so real that you feel like you are in witnessing the conversation in person. The plot is intriguing and totally feels real. The emotions run the gamut from high to low. This is such a good book. I guarantee that you will enjoy it.

Keeping Secrets (Grimm Wolves MC Book 4) by D.M. Earl – Review by Lisa Helmick

Keeping Secrets- Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC #4)Keeping Secrets- Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This title says it all! There are a lot of secrets being held by the members of the Grimm Wolves. This is the fourth installment in the series. It is a prospect story and a novella but that does not diminish the story that is told in a timely manner and not rushed at all. This does cover a touchy subject so be aware if you have triggers.

This also is told by a few different viewpoints. This is done for the purpose of telling Iron and Joy’s story but also setting up a few other members for their story. It really is a smooth transition back and forth since they are all intertwined.

Again there is the same problem in here as I have had in a few others. The ranking and the hierarchy of the prospects. They seem to be treated as more members/family than prospects. There were a few times in here where I did see them get put in their place. But challenging a member I would think is a no-no.

Overall this is a wonderful story that kept me turning pages. I do like the connection between the members and even those whose stories I have already read. More and more is being revealed as each book goes by. I really look forward to the next in the series. We got a small look into their lives growing up in here.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an exciting story. It is told from varying points of view. I liked that! The main story follows Beast and he journey to get back in his wife’s good graces and deal with the after effects of growing up in his family. I really enjoyed reading all of that. It had me on pins and needles as well as disgusted a time or two. I loved how the author had this story during Christmas time. What a change came over the club as they all participated whether they wanted to or not. Ha ha!

This also lets up get to know more about a few different members. I cant not wait for Chains story! I am sure I won’t be let down with the next in the series either.

Overall another wonderful story in this series. It kept me reading and wanting to figure everything out. I can now see the sense of family that this club is becoming.

Ruthless Heir (Mafia Elite Book 5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Vanessa Watts

Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite, #5)Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just when I thought Ms. McKinley had made it through all the mafia couples and she came out with this pleasant surprise. Which again, with how amazing she writes, this is one of my favorite books of the entire series. That is saying a lot because I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and she has quickly become a favorite author of mine.

Summer, after having worked her shift, is attacked in the apartment she shares with her friend Lauralee who is nowhere to be seen. Summer can’t dwell on that thought as she must run to save her life. She manages to land a temp job at a financial company and one night decides to celebrate at a bar. This is where she meets Luc who becomes her one night stand, but fate seems to have more up her sleeve for these two. When the next day Summer finds out he is her boss and not only that he suspects her of plotting against him with her former boss. This is where the Chicago mafia families come into play with a bombshell of a secret. This secret involves Luc, his mother, his past, and a position that may open doors for him but also endanger his life as well. As Luc is uncovering his past and what the Chicago mafia wants from him, he works to uncover Summer’s secrets that she is running from. Can Summer trust Luc to keep her safe or will he hand her over to the guys chasing her after he knows her secret?

This is an action packed mafia romance book full of mystery, suspense, and of course our favorite characters from the series. If you have read the other books I definitely recommend reading this one. If you haven’t I still recommend you read this one but I encourage you to read all of them, as they are that good. I cannot wait to see what else Ms. McKinley has up her sleeve!

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack Book 1) by Nicole Howl
5 Star Review
Claiming My Mate is the first book in this two-book series, Wolf Hollow Pack Series, by Nicole Howl. From the first page I was hooked and could not put this book down. Nicole Howl brings the wolves alive in a completely different way than I have ever read.
Jason is next in line to become Alpha and King of Wolf Hollow. Lily is a human slave to Jason’s family, the Wolf Hollow Royals, and just wants to go about the rest of her life unseen and complete her daily duties. But Goddess Leto has a different plan in mind.
Lily is caring and sweet and just wants a normal life. She feels bad for the humans, like her, who are being held captive to slave and serve the Wolf Hollow Royals.
Jason is strong, levelheaded compared to his father, King Huntington, and kind like Lily.
One day Jason’s wolf catches a scent that he is in love with and is trying to figure out where it came from, when he finally figures outs its Lily, a human, who also happens to be his mate, he must protect her from one of his fathers Royal Guard members who is trying to claim her as his mate.
Lily on the other hand just wants to be hidden in the shadows and doesn’t want anyone to know she even exist, that is, until her wolf peeks out and also want to claim her mate, Jason.
Will Jason and Lily survive what is to come and be able to live a happy life together, or will it be destroyed by King Huntington? I cannot wait to find out in book two!

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Kerry Carr

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is another book in the amazing Satan Devil’s MC club. I never hesitate in grabbing these stories as I know they will be great. They have the elements in the stories that I enjoy, Romance, danger and pasts that could make or break them. The author always makes her characters believable and connectable which makes the stories all the more enjoyable.
In the story we meet Marvel. Marvel is a confirmed bachelor and vows to stay that way. Making fun of his brothers when they settle with their old ladies.
However one incident in his life, a bank robbery, he finds himself held hostage with a woman for company. After talking to her he finds out her name and her past.
Once they were rescued they go their separate ways. However Virgina is now in danger. Marvel goes to her aid to protect her from someone out to harm her but how much trouble will this bring the Devils?
Another big issues is trust. Can Marvel let down his guard and learn to trust Virgina or will their pasts stop them from making a go of their future.

A storm was coming, brewing faster than a bubbling cauldron. People were missing; ghost towns popping up along coastlines. Strange creatures lurked in the shadows, the screams of their victims heard, but the carnage rarely seen. Still, the government and military refused to believe nature was their foe, insisting terrorism was to blame.

The once picturesque fishing town of Treacle was gone; lost to research after being commandeered by a General. Whatever the cause, the oceans had turned deadly, and the virus responsible was spreading inland. They needed a cure and fast. Unfortunately, all they had learned so far was the mutations in some people were much more extensive than others.

A radical decision was called for, but would it be the right choice? Pick up a copy of Sashimi and find out for yourself.

An Alien Storm (Soldiers of Saedo Book 4) by Calla Zae – Review by Carrie Reed

An Alien Storm (Soldiers of Saedo, #4)An Alien Storm by Calla Zae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars!

I was really into this book. Do I want to live on a weird alien planet with super attractive men? Yes I do. Do I care if they are green? Not at all. Vanessa and Arkon are good together, she had ended a terrible marriage, and he has trust issues with women after his last girlfriend. They are both complete opposites which makes them perfect together. I was happy to see how Arkon was willing to show Vanessa his love and patience for her, and that he would in no way be like her ex husband. Vanessa is tough, after what she went through she learned to be a fighter and when the squirmurs come she readily takes up a gun and fights. This planet is fun and I really look forward to the next book. I also really liked in the beginning, the picture of the universe and where the different planets are laid out.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book….and this is my first book that I have read from this author. When you meet Francis aka Stitch you cannot help but feel a heart wrenching story of his childhood that what he endured. He is not only part of a Motorcycle Club but he is also a firefighter. Everything changes with Stitch when he meets a wonderful little boy at the firehouse named Damien. When Damien’s mother, Grace, meets Stitch at first she was hesitant when she found out about the motorcycle club. Grace is a protector and strong and I loved that about her character. There is a reason why Grace wants to protect Damien from anyone whom belongs to an MC. Will Grace see past the kutte and get to know Francis aka Stitch?

This story flowed so easily and gave me so many emotions…I cannot wait to continue this series and see what happens next!

This is my favourite book of the series so far. There was angst, drama and love. This is a fully developed story with well rounded characters. Up until now, Beast has been more of a side character. In this book, we finally learn his story and boy, he has a messed up past. An enemy comes to light threatening his loved ones. He has to swallow his pride and ask for help from the MC. He’s completely flabbergasted with how his brothers step up and support him. Emotions run high and I even shed a few tears reading this book. I loved the ending! It’s a unique Christmas tale (biker style).

This is another amazing story that the author wrote for this series. Again, this is revolved around Emma as she has a keen interest for solving mysteries. This is an amazing book as it showcases a girl from the 1800s who is not afraid to do what she loves, which is solving mystery. This book had lots of twists and turns as well and I was finding myself not sleeping trying to find out what happens next. If you love a good mystery novel, this series is for you!

The story revolves around a girl named Emma who learns of an inheritance from a previous client, and she has to determine what good or bad could come of this. She has lots of trials and tribulations that she must endure throughout the book. I cannot wait to read the other books in the series as it was wonderfully written!

The author has done it again! This book is filled with action, mystery, and suspense. Dahlia’s growth from book one is amazing. Her dedication to those who can’t protect themselves from the monsters infecting the city is commendable. Even when all the odds are against her, she tried to do the right thing. With each I installment of the series she uncovers more lies and secrets of her world and discovers events that will harm all worlds. This is definitely a page turner and I highly recommend it.

Santa...Nope the Grimm Wolves (Grimm Wolves MC #3)Santa…Nope the Grimm Wolves by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is Beast’s (Cesar) story. This is an incredible story of overcoming some odds that would drag anyone down. Beast is just trying to protect his family. A son of the founder of the rival gang, but nothing like them, he pledged with the Grimm Wolves (Real Men that run in packs). The Grimm Wolves stay above aboard unless they have to protect their own. Beast’s father has been extorting beast for years, threatening to go after his family. Beast has been paying this and put his family in an “icky” apt hoping they would leave and go back East for protection. This plan backfired when they got sick. The Grimm Wolves took over protection and Beast made a plan to get his family back and give them a good life. This book was magnificent. Yes, there is steamy romance, a bit of violence; but the action and the “family/community” theme pull you in. Blood doesn’t make a family. The Grimm Wolves and their people are family all the way. They have your back. Sometimes, I wish I had family to protect me like that. Stitch and Damien are absolutely amazing with those gifts. This whole series is written as a standalone but you really want to read it together as everyone is so intertwined in each book. The books are even written as a family POV. The author does an outstanding job developing characters that are relatable and feel like real people. Clementine and her Southern speech just crack you up. This book can crack you up and have you in tears at the same time. It’s written like you are right there in the room listening in on the conversation. I love these type of books. It’s well-developed and a new favorite of mine. I recommend it to action romance lovers. If you love MC romance, you definitely should try this one.

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jenni Bishop

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been on an MC book run for the last few months and Manda is one author that I jump on a book when it’s available. Manda is one of the Queens of MC writers. She writes strong characters and alpha men who look after family, their women, and their brothers. I love the banter between the Satan’s Devil’s, and it always brings a smile to my face and out loud laugher. It is a gripping, emotional and heartbreaking read that brings out all the feels.
This one is Marvel and Virginia’s story where a robbery brings them together. It is nice to read something where the characters are a little older than the norm and falling in love when unexpected.
There is mayhem and action, pain, and broken trust, trauma, and danger. Something for lovers of MC books but even if you don’t normally read MC books you will love Manda’s books.

I really enjoyed this book. A great start to a series that I will definitely be following. Being the first book there was a lot of backstory and establishing setting but it was totally worth it. Deacon and Olivia are a great couple and I loved the dual POV. Second chances, drama, passion and fast bikes makes this one not to be missed. The group is not small, so this has the potential to be a larger series. I can’t wait to get to know more about the others. Warning – There are some pretty raw and real moments that could trigger.

This book was full of interesting stories and characters. Once the story really built up I became more and more interested in where the story was going and the ending. This author does a really good job at building the characters from the start, and as more and more characters are added to the story with more depth I realized the story was going in a much different direction than I originally thought! I enjoyed reading it and you will too! I also noticed that although it was set back in time, I did not feel this negatively affected the book. I’m thinking the author was really working to set up the entire series starting here. I look forward to what will happen next!

The Mermaid and the Rainbow was a fun story! What a great way to get kids interested in science. It jumped from one experiment to another without explaining or connecting the experiments, but was still educational overall. The kids were still excited and wanted to try the experiments, which was the point. Lois Wickstrom did a great job making education fun!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A very fast read, and one that you will want to read cover to cover in one sitting. Josie has filed divorce from her abusive husband and having a hard time with life in general. Things are not made any easier since she was also bullied throughout her school days, and now comes the Pandemic. Secrets are being kept, and things are hush hush when Josie discovers a body in the river near her home. But, this is not the first time she has had this happen. In fact, that was the source of her bullying throughout school. You see, Josie reported a body in a river in middle school. A body that was never found. Now things look a little bit suspicious, as finding TWO bodies is not exactly common. Who can she trust? Is it coincidence that she has found two bodies? Are they related? If so, who is involved, and why? And why is she the target and interest for something she has nothing to do with? All are questions that will be answered! I really enjoyed the way you can easily relate (as a reader) to the main character as she is thrown into the Covid 19 uncertainty, among her already deteriorating life. I loved Josie’s resiliency and ability to take things on at face value, even when the cards were stacked against her. I loved this one, and will surely be seeking out more from this author.

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla, #1)The Hunted by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sam and Layla, 2 sworn enemies, but a steamy connection. Sam is a vampire SEAL and Layla comes from a long line of vampire hunters. After a mission gone wrong Layla finds herself in a tough spot in need of Sam. The chemistry between these to is hot from the start, but they have a common enemy so that have to keep it professional. The story keeps you interested too! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
