My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really loved this combination novella. I enjoyed getting to know Norah’s story and Bella’s history. So romantic and tragic. I also enjoyed getting to know Logan. The McKenna women seem to have strength written in their DNA. I also loved sweet Giovanni. Poor guy couldn’t get a fair shake. I am new to this series so I don’t know yet what characters we will see again but I loved seeing William. Both younger and older, he was a delight. The little bit that I got to see made me want to know more about these people. I could read a whole book about any one of these characters. I am fully prepared to devour the Logan McKenna series.

It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Shelly Kittell

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 3 of the series and I think it was my favorite. Brandon and Macy had a history and to see them meet up again and deal with that history and the challenges it brought (including a mighty active one), gave hope that everything could work out. I really enjoy the author’s writing as you feel like these are your neighbors. They are well-developed and the story is well-written. They are just going through the struggles we all do (with a little inner wolf thrown in). With every story, I have been pulled in and fully engaged. You find yourself wanting to know what’s next in the story. I loved it. This was a great story to read. I recommend you check it and the other two stories out.

A Second Chance (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May – Review by Shelly Kittell

A Second Chance (The Powder River Pack #1)A Second Chance by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First we got Mason’s story. Time for Derek, his best friend. Derek grew up hearing stories of how werewolf’s would find their mate, for life. It was a once in a lifetime thing. He always wanted his parents thing. Annabelle came into his life in childhood. Her momma liked him. Her daddy hated him from the get-go. Annabelle knew what he was and loved him anyway. Derek was heartbroken when Amos told her she had moved on. Fast Forward ten years later, she comes back for her daddy’s death, can they pick up where they left off? There is a lot of history to deal with? This is an excellent book. The story plays out terrific. It goes along so smooth. There is no choppiness. The characters feel just like a small town. Derek is relatable with his frustration over his feelings. Annabelle is just totally relatable for being in a relationship and trying to deal with daddy issues. They go through some heavy stuff, and with him being a werewolf on top? Boom, issues for sure. I loved this book too. Totally engaged me. On to book 3. I highly recommend you read this one too.

Mason is a single father just running his ranch and bar while waiting for his mate to come. His wolf is making him crazy wanting to find her. Rylie enters their life when she comes to town to work as a wildlife biologist studying wolves. The embers start to burn. Mason’s wolf knows she the one. Now, will Mason and Rylie accept it? They endure the adventures life throws in their way. This is such a good book. I was sucked in at the beginning by the tale of how Mason became of a father and I just couldn’t leave. I had to stay because I wanted to know what happened next. The story engages you. Well-written and well-developed characters make for a story that will keep you right there and devouring it. I can’t wait to read more. Here I come book 2. I highly recommend you push the button and buy this one.

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Megan Conley

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Whew! This story has so much to offer! All the feels, *spicy* time, angst, suspense, twists and turns…you name it, Anise Storm delivers! Absolutely loved the way the author not only develops the characters independent of each other, but also the way she develops and moves the plot along at such a natural pace. This book is very well written. She also gives little bread crumbs into the lives of the other Titans which leaves the reader wanting to know more about them.
Mason is a powerhouse in Manhattan and Rhyann is a small town girl from Kansas chasing her dreams of dance in NYC. The attraction between Rhyann and Mason is electric from the beginning. An anonymous one-night stand turns into more when Rhyann and Mason realize who the other is when she applies for a job dancing at one of Mason’s clubs. The sparks continue to fly even though both are trying to stay away from the other. Rhyann is looking toward the future while Mason is stuck in the past. Definitely a fast-paced read, but Storm doesn’t rush anything!
While this is book 3 in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. Anise Storm has definitely been added of my list of authors to read!

I really loved this story, it was such a pleasure to read. This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed her writing style. I loved the characters Grace and Ian, they were both relatable and they really did have a lovely and genuine connection. I did feel for both characters and their won individual stories, the author did an amazing job with their character development. I loved the plot too, so easy to follow and the perfect pace.
Overall I absolutely LOVED this book and would highly recommend it to other readers!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this story so much! Whilst I do love a steamy romance read it’s also sometimes really nice to read a pure, simple, clean romance and this is exactly what I got from this book! I loved the setting for the story and because of the authors attention to detail and her wonderful writing I felt like I had been transported back to the early 1900’s. I could really feel how much the author had put in to the characters and their story, it really came across well. I loved Faith and Nico and their story was a joy to read. I am very much looking forward to reading more from this series!

Journeys Through Collection: Volumes 1-3 by James Talisman – Review by Ashley Westerman

Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3 by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Journeys Through SpaceTime
I’ll be honest Journeys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman is not something I usually read; I normally stick with thriller books. However, I do not regret branching out and trying something new. Many things are happening, a lot of action, some danger, and mystery also. I wasn’t quick to figure what would happen. I thought I could guess; usually, I am pretty good at it, but Journeys Through SpaceTime kept me guessing the whole time. There are many characters, but it’s not so many that it is overwhelming because James Talisman provided a character list at the beginning of the book that really helps to understand who everyone is. The amount of detail written about the characters and what they’re facing/dealing with is so good. I felt like I was there with them like I have known these characters for a long time. It’s worth the read, and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed by taking the time to read it. I would encourage everyone to read it, even if it were a genre you would normally read. Leap and try it out!

Journeys Through TimeSpace
I enjoyed Journeys Through Timespace as much as I enjoyed book 1. This being not my typical genre, I was worried going outside of my comfort zone. I’m still glad I did. I really enjoy the back stories of the characters; it helps you understand and feel like you personally know them. The way the Journeys Through series is written is unique. I don’t think I have read anything quite like this. There are still a lot of characters, but James Talisman makes it easy to keep who is who straight. I love how book 2 advances the story of the characters. I’m excited for the rest of the series to be released.

Journeys Through AllCreation
This book was EXCELLENT! I really loved the first 2 in the series and couldn’t wait for this one! I really enjoyed how this series has made me spend time thinking. Sometimes it’s a nice change of pace. I’m not usually a Sci-Fi fan, but this was great and well worth it, check it out, even if this genre isn’t usually for you. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Definitely Recommend!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed both of the stories in this set. Both of them were well written and quite emotional to read. I enjoyed getting to know more about the characters and more about Logans background. The first book Bella is about Logan’s Great-Grandmother Norah and Giovanni and their story was really sweet to read, I enjoyed being transported back in time to read about their lives. In Jagged Dawn we come back to Logans life and follow her story for a while as she mourns the loss of her husband. These two stories start before the Logan McKenna Mysteries series begins and I would highly recommend reading them.

(UN)Loved (Mixed Emotions Series) by Katy Hunter – Review by Barbara Bohls

(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What happens when you meet the love of your life but your life isn’t where it needs to be? That is what happens with the main characters of this book. They are amazing and their lives are going where they want them to but is that enough? Does what they’re doing now affect what they want in the future? Can they work things out to get what they are wanting? These are the questions that I was constantly asking myself during this book. The characters have growth that you won’t see coming. There are is many bumps and bruises that they get along the way. This book had me crying, cursing, ranting, and swooning. I feel like I went on an emotional roller coaster. I wanted it to end then didn’t want it to end. I feel like I got whiplash with how things were constantly changing in this story. It almost gave me a book hangover. Not a lot of books can do that but this one did and the makes it a 5 star read. It is a witty, fun, romantic, steamy, soul crushing adventurous book. It constantly makes you wonder, is love enough. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to be emotionally abused. Just kidding, kind of. It is a great read and you want be disappointed while reading it.

This was my first book in this series, and I caught on after a few chapters. This book is soooo well written! It felt like I was in the fight right with Van. This would make an incredible movie or Netflix series. It’s a YA story but it’s not corny or boring. It’s very entertaining and kept me turning pages. I do wish I read the first 2 books for more details of the background. But, if you want to jump right in and read this book it’s not a requirement.

(UN)Loved (Mixed Emotions Series) by Katy Hunter – Review by Allison Davis

(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sophie is a famous actress who has been in the industry since she was a child. She is extremely dedicated to her job which leaves her without many personal relationships. She has some major attraction for her now ex costar G. He offers to have her come to his family’s farm in France so she can take a break from her career.

There was so much potential for the story here but there was some things I didn’t care for. The drama was a bit much. Both Sophie and G had their own things to work through on the trip but everything was so quick. Realistically the problems they had to figure out wouldn’t be as quick to resolve so the timeline seemed to be much longer than it actually was. There was also a TON of back and forth in their relationship that was just too much for my taste.

The story was still enjoyable so I would definitely read something else from this author.

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars

Faithful in Love is the first book in the Cliff Walk Cousins trilogy by Cecily K. Wolfe. It is an historical Christian romance, with some drama, angst, obstacles, jealousy, belief, and family connections.
This is the first book that I have read from this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her work- but I was intrigued enough to want to find out what she could do. I now understand that this trilogy is a spin-off from the Cliff Walk Courtship series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything by not having read that series first. So, this can be read as a standalone. Having said that, I will probably go back and read the original series, at some stage, just to find out what happens there.
We meet Faith Davenport as she develops feelings for her uncle’s apprentice. But things get complicated when Nico faces prison.
If you love Christian romance with a historical atmosphere, inspirational content, a sweet story with a little drama, and characters with substance- then this is definitely the story for you.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Cecily K. Wolfe!

This was the first book I’ve read from this author. It was a good book, definitely a slow burn. Both main characters have pasts that they would rather keep hidden. Grace is more open than Ian. Ian is tall, dark, hot and mysterious. He is also the arrogant man that we all hate to love.

I really enjoyed this book. It isn’t my normal choice of genre however I really enjoyed it and found I couldn’t put it down. Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Jules Herbert

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh these Titans have me hooked! Strong powerful characters who have their hearts awakened by equally strong women. It is just so much fun to see these guys fall and fall hard.
This time it is Mason who will fall for the beautiful Rhyann. Their attraction is immediate and burns hot, a nameless one night stand follows and that is it… or so they thought. Next thing you know Rhyann is applying for a job and guess who the boss is…her super hot one night stand!! At first the last thing Mason wants to do is employ her but decides to give her a chance. Maybe that will help kill his attraction because he never gets involved with employees. Of course Mason fights it with all his might but eventually he gives in to the fact that the heart wants what the heart wants!!
This is such a creative, well written story where you are drawn into the world of the characters and feel their emotions just as much as they do. I can’t wait to read the next Titans downfall!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rhyann has everything she has ever dreamed of, a scholarship to one of the renown Ballet Schools in the country, but as she get there and starts her studies she is becoming increasingly worried about the costs raising from moving to New York.

So when her roommate suggests for extra money pole dancing at a local club, she decides it the best option for her to do what she loves, dancing and earn extra money.

Mason is one of the biggest people in New York, he owns a successful club and is consider one of the most eligible bachelors there is, he can have his pick of any girl/women who throws themselves at him but one night he is attracted to one of the new dancers but she seems familiar to him. It is only when he comes face to face with her does he realise its the woman he had one night with and can not get out of his head.

But it is wise mixing business with pleasure?

This is not the first book I have read by this author and oh my this will not be the last, although this book is part of a series you each book is it’s own stand alone story but if I was you and go nd read them all as you will not be disappointed.

I love the way the book unfolds and weaves through the budding relationship and with the realisation that these two people are destined to be together. The character in all the books are well developed and offer a great depth and another element to the story. The chemistry between the two characters is off the page and I love the way you uncover the romance with each turn of the page.

The two main characters are written in a way that they compliment each other, with the secondary characters adding another layer to the story. I really enjoyed the character of Rhyann as a fierce independent women trying to make her own way through the city it was just a refreshing read.

I can not wait for the next instalment as to be fair anything written by this author is gold.

Everyone is having a hard time keeping their businesses going during the depression and P.I. business is no exception. He’s family and you always help family. When a necklace comes up missing and her cousin is murdered Jenny is on the hunt to find the suspect before he disappears and ends up committing another murder. Will she be able to find the necklace and the culprit?

This was a good mystery and a quick read. It draws you in from the beginning and keeps you turning the pages. I’m finding that I don’t have a lot of time to read a whole lot these days due to my crazy work schedule, but books like this are worth saying one more page no matter how early my alarm is set.

Until There Was You by G. Colgrove is a contemporary romance with an opposites attract element, chemistry, emotion, humour, drama, family dynamics, snobbery, obstacles, and plenty of sizzle.
Regan doesn’t believe in fairytale romances- they are just make-believe. She has her sights on accomplishing her goals and nothing will get in her way…
Jeremy also has his sights set on achieving his dream of proving he is ready to take over the family business….
What happens when fate throws these two together? Will their focus on fulfilling their goals cost them a chance at love? This is definitely worth the read to find out.

Seductively Yours is the third book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. I know I keep saying this, but the series really does get better with each new release.
This story is a hot and steamy contemporary romance with plenty of sizzling chemistry, angst, emotion, and much more. I jumped right in as soon as this book hit my Kindle and didn’t come up for air until I had devoured every word.
I loved Mason and Rhyann- I was completely invested in them and the outcome of their story right from the beginning. Plague of Death (Anchoress Series Book 2) by D.L. Armillei – Review by Katrina Evanochko

Plague of Death (Anchoress, #2)Plague of Death by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Book 2 in the Anchoress series picks up one year after the close of book 1. Van has spent the past year training for her role as protector of the Lodians, almost to the exclusion of anything else. It is understandable that she focuses so hard on this – it is something she has control over in her life, and there is not a lot of that… she isn’t allowed to date the person she loves, she has to deal with her nemesis Pernilla, and she hasn’t been allowed off-island to search for Daisy. Add to that the grief she is dealing with over the loss of her father, her stepmother has a new boyfriend, and the spirit guide she has is not as helpful as she would like. Van, unsurprisingly, is quite stubborn in this book, and it sometimes takes a lot for her to learn the lesson necessary for her to learn, such as why shutting off your emotions entirely is not a great idea. I was happy to see some growth from Paley in this book, Ferox is interesting, and I did not learn as much about Uxa as I had hoped. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in book 3!

Shock of Fate (Anchoress #1)Shock of Fate by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The author has created an interesting world. I enjoyed the story and most of the supporting characters were great. The mystery of Van’s father kept me intrigued and for once I did not figure out what really happened – the author did a good job of keeping me guessing about him and his true motives. The thing I struggled with was Van and Paley’s immaturity. Yes, they are 15, but they were both so shallow. They were raised that way, which let me give them some leeway, but it was a struggle at times to continue. I was happy to see the start of some growth from Van, and I hope that continues as the series does.

Absolutely loved!!

This book was great! Very different, unique world, and loveable characters. I loved the storyline. The story flowed wonderfully. Definitely a page turner! The main character, Celeste, is courageous, strong willed, and intelligent. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Kiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis – Review by Anantha Rusum

Kiss of the SwanKiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A twisty romantic fantasy Fairytale which combines three fairy tales together, the sleeping beaty, the twelve swans and The whipping boy. A witch curses the king and his heir because she did not get what she wanted. The boy is sent to live with an old woman and her boy, who believes the prince was his brother. He is the whipping boy who takes the beating for the prince, the one who secretly tends to a magic swan whom his brother wounded, and finally ends up rescuing a sleeping beauty whom he falls in love with and eventually lives happily ever after.

This book is like a recap of many fairy tales. There are twists and turns, but overall you can relate back to the original fairy tales. I enjoyed the book.
