This is a wonderful adult book that is part of a series, yet stands alone Beautifully. We have the strong yet vulnerable Rhyann Ward as our female lead and Mason Steele or Manly male lead. Both of these characters have traumatic incidences in the story, yet these aren’t defining story points that define our characters. It’s refreshing that our female lead who ends up as an Exotic dancer, doesn’t do so because she’s jaded from some character defining trauma or tragedy. While the sex scenes are steamy, the story is still solid and the love story aspect is solid without falling into the trap of being to soap opera sappy or pathetic. This is a solid well-rounded story that stands on its own while leaving you wanting to read about the rest of the Titans of Manhattan. I look forward to delving into this Manhattan that Anise Storm has spun and seeing what comes next.

This is the 5th book in a fantastic series by an author who has risen right up my favourites list in the last few years. I don’t think I have ever given any of her books less than 5 stars as they are just that good. And this is another 5-star read. I was slightly worried before starting this book as it was a new character brought into the fold of a very tight knit bunch. My own fault for being such an anxious person as this author has never let me down before and still hasn’t. Luc was quickly accepted into the group of elite mafia leaders and Summer fit right in with the kick – a** mafia wives. I loved Luc and Summer’s story. Both are fantastic characters that I immediately connected with and enjoyed reading about. This book is quite angsty, which I love, as they try to fight the attraction they obviously have for one another. As well as the romance story, the author sure knows how to write a fantastic accompanying suspenseful storyline which keeps you gripped and not wanting to put this book down. I loved this book as with all the others in this series and really hope that the author gives us more from this amazing mafia elite.

I was very intrigued by the premise of the story of a woman fighting and resisting the constant haunting of La Llorna. As a child, I too, grew up hearing the tales of the woman in white weeping for her lost children by the river. I couldn’t wait to see where this story would lead.
The story takes place in the town of Sueño, New Mexico. I was immediately drawn to the friendship and solidarity between the two characters, Mercy and Sherry. It made me think of my own childhood best friend and I related to the characters’ growth together. I wish the story delved a little deeper into the personal journeys of the girls as they faced the many challenges in their lives. I clearly understood the many emotions Mercy had throughout her life during her times of strife and grief and found myself rooting for her success as the story progressed. Sherry’s story wasn’t as detailed and I found myself wanting to know much more about her life and everything going on inside of her.
Due to the short length of the book, parts of the story felt rushed. I had a hard time following the story at certain points, as the storyline digressed multiple times in the same paragraph. Mercy bounced around a lot as she described things and events. It was then I realized the story is written as if you are having a conversation with Mercy and she is telling you the tale herself. Just as the stories of La Llorna are passed down verbally, generation after generation, Mercy was passing her story down in the same verbal context. I felt the connection to “Weep, Woman, Weep” just as I felt to my own ancestral stories from generations before me. It definitely left me wishing the story was longer with more details of the characters’ lives and a glimpse into the future and how it turned out.

Forbidden Love indeed. This raw and emotional book will leave tear stains on your sleeves. Following Kally, and Clark through this roller coaster of a life, fighting and clawing their way though hurdles. At such young ages, they face so many obstacles. Will they find their way back to each other, or will the debts, and spotlight of their families tare them apart for good?
If I could rate this book more then 5/5 I would! I personally couldn’t put the book down!
This is a multi POV, so perceptions will vary with each chapter. K.M. Lowe knocked this out of the park! Please be aware that this may be triggering on different levels for people dealing with a lot of real-life issues. The author did an amazing job with taking into consideration the impact these topics could have on someone.

I have been fan of this series, since book 1. I am constantly enticed and swopped into the engaging story and learning about the characters in each book. I love how the series brings such heart felt feelings, and a true depth of the characters. The author is amazing at their writing skills. A must read adventure!
From my experience in the past novels, trust, honor, and commitment seem to go hand in hand with the DC wolves. if that is broken though, what comes of the family? I loved Iron and Joy. And their little one was sweet as pie too! I loved how even when everything seemed against them, and things surfaced and more things seemed to go down the drain, they worked and stuck together. I found that admirable. I found this book specifically was high on the hearts of emotions. I felt a lot, there were moments I did tear up. Yet, was rooting for Iron’s family the whole time. This is for sure my favorite in the series so far. I am able to say that because the emotions I felt were real, and I really connected with the characters.
If you have not had the pleasure of reading the prior books in the series, seriously do so. They are treats you do not want to miss, as well as you get a better understanding for who and wat the DC wolves are. I loved this one so much. Highly recommend this must read book! Not one to be missed out on!

Seductively Yours is the 3rd book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. Similarly, to the other books in this series it follows the lives of one of the most powerful businessmen in New York. This time it is Nightclub tycoon Mason, a playboy of epic proportions who is a love him and leave him kind of guy. When he has a chance encounter with Rhyann, a small-town Kansas girl who has come to the city to study dance, he struggles to process the feelings that she brings. I really enjoy this series; I have read them all so far and have struggled to put them down. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This is the 3rd book in the Grimm Wolves MC series and they keep getting better. Each book has revolved around different member of the club so they can be read as standalone however this series is so good and the characters do overlap in each story so I would recommend reading them in order. I love how badass the bikers are but how they will stop at nothing to help and protect each other no matter the consequences.
In this book its the run up to Christmas and we follow Beast. In the first couple of books Beasts brothers sensed something was wrong and in this book we actually find out the reason.
Beast is being blackmailed by his father and brother who are part of a rival MC. To keep his family safe (so he thought) Beast moves them to an place that is so run down and out of the way. Even though they were safe Beast and Cathy’s relationship suffers as she believes he doesn’t care and the damp in the property means their son Rider becomes ill.
Feeling at the end of the rope he asked for the clubs help to not only protect his family but to get rid of his old man once and for all.
This book is a story about making amends and the lengths Beast will to to protect the ones he loves. Now the club is on the verge of war all the brothers need to work together to protect every member of the club. While this is happening the brothers also band together to help Beast make this a Christmas that his family will never forget.

I love this author and all her books, and with this its no different. Here we are in book 5 of this series, while able to be read as a standalone, I would start from book 1, as you’ll want to know all of it anyways! This one did not let me down and I really love this group of takes no crap women and the men who love them fiercely. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
Santa…Nope the Grimm Wolves is the third book in the Grimm Wolves MC series by D.M Earl. As the third instalment of this MC romance series that has a bit of a paranormal element. I wasn’t sure how this would play out being that there is a holiday theme to the storyline and the fact that I wasn’t sure if I could like the MC from initially meeting him- but I was pleasantly surprised by him, and the story. I think this series is growing on me, and only getting better as the series progresses. Again, D.M. Earl has woven her story with plenty of emotion, danger, drama, struggles, blackmail, threats, suspense, brotherhood, finding your path in life, finding where you belong, family, familiar as well as new faces, chemistry, banter, seeking redemption, and suspense. Keeping Secrets-Prospect is the next book in the series and from what I have read of the blurb, I am expecting that it will be my favourite of the series (so far)…Can wait to see if I am right. I enjoyed this suspenseful thriller. This is a well written story that takes place in a town where things are not always as they seem as Josie is about to find out. She is being accused of being a serial killer. Will she be able to save herself or will the past play a part in her take down? I enjoyed what she brought to the story. She is a strong, supportive character. I also enjoyed the rest of the characters and how connectable they are. They bring the story to life on each page. The twists and turns kept me turning pages fast just to find out what happened next. This is a fast paced story that was hard to put down. It is a story that is full of action and suspense you don’t want to miss. A great story that filled my afternoon with suspense. I highly recommend this book.

The Prisoner of the Dead is the first book in the Dead World series by the ever talented Megan Mackie. I never bother reading the blurb to any of Ms. Mackie‘s books before rushing to one-click myself a copy, because I already know that whatever it is I will LOVE it. And this book was no exception- hello zombie apocalypse among dystopian themes- with action, thrills, mystery, dramatic developments, immortals, fantastic worldbuilding, survival, plague outbreak, zombies vs humans, and so much more I can’t possibly list it all here without spoiling the story for you. As expected from Ms. Mackie she didn’t just write another ‘zombie’ story- she has cleverly given the zombie apocalypse trope a good shake up by adding her own original spin to it- and thereby breathing fresh ‘life’ into the genre (pun intended 😊). I shouldn’t be surprised- but she really does amaze me each and every time she releases a new story- as she always manages to weave in the unexpected, keeping me glued to the pages full of anticipation at what is or might happen. A completely engrossing start to an exciting new series…. I really can’t wait to see where we go from here! Highly recommended! Happy Reading!

This book took me by surprise. I’ve found many romance books, especially those in a series, are heavy on romance but can be very predictable and be lacking in character development. This author was able to do it all. The romance was hot and heavy and I loved the characters. The main character was strong and easy to like. The plot didn’t feel repetitive and even had some twists. I plan to read the rest Anise Storm’s books.

This best selling author gives us a thrilling original story, that is unique and full of surprising twists and turns. The characters are all well developed, and they are fully realised with some who are not who I thought they were and not all can be trusted, and some may have sinister motivations. A pandemic, an abusive husband, murder, a serial killer, all set in a town where things are not what they seem. This is the authors fourth book, but it was the first book that I have read. I enjoyed his plotting and scheming. I found this quick read interesting, and well written. I will now go back and read his earlier work.

This book may cause some triggers. It is a dark, gripping, and twisted tale, there is violence, abuse, and betrayal and where danger lurks. A story of greed and hatred that dwells in everyday vindictive monsters. A story of revenge to destroy those who don’t fall in line. A dark, romantic suspense story where you will need all your strength to survive the pain and heartbreak that the characters go through. Oh, and you will need lots of tissues and a good strong drink to go with it. This great page-turner is not my first book by this author, and it is my favourite so far. My heart broke as I read this tale that has a little bit of everything for those who like dark and twisted. There are secrets and lies, twists and turns, action, and sadness, jealousy, and hate, and so many more emotions. I was captivated by this haunting tale that is written in multiple POV which I love as you get to see inside their heads.

I mostly enjoyed this book. It is a fast burn, insta-lust and connection story. Rhyann is a Kansas girl who moves to New York to pursue her dream of being a dancer on scholarship. Mason is a rich club owner and one of the “Titans” of New York. They meet when Rhyann visits his club. They instantly connect but don’t exchange names when they hook up. The twist occurs when Rhyann unknowingly applies for a job at Mason’s club. Mason has a strict ‘no sleeping with the employees’ rule but Rhyann needs the money, so they put a stop to any relationship… or try to anyway.
This is a sexy, read and the characters have serious chemistry. I didn’t understand why Rhyann’s roommate decides to work at the club but that doesn’t detract from the story. The one thing that I had a hard time with was the on-page assault without a trigger warning. The character is not raped, but it was still traumatic and could be an issue for some people to read. I can understand why the author made the choice she did for the story but thought people would want to know about it before reading this book.

This book absolutely took my breath away. Rhyann is new to New York, ready to make her dream of being a professional dancer come true. She quickly learns how different New York is from her hometown in Kansas. In an attempt to break the goody two shoes mold her friend has cast her in, she gives in to Mason the first time that they meet. They have no idea who the other is but the attraction is intense and undeniable! Soon she’s working for him and they just can’t seem to stay away even though Mason does his best to remain professional. They are both quickly developing feelings when something horrible happens that has Rhyann running back to Kansas. Is there anyway that they can get past the barriers being thrown in their path and make this work? This is a book that you are definitely not going to miss! There’s heat and swoon worthy moments, along with plenty of action and drama along the way to the most amazing ending ever! I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Titans series.

I completely loved this book! This is the 3rd book of the Titans of Manhattan series… I loved all the books but this book is my favorite … the story of Mason and Rhyann.
Rhyann is from a small town in Kansas but has big dreams. She moves to New York to pursue her goals of being a dancer….and learns quickly how life in New York is different than at her hometown. Rhyann needs a job for some money while attending school ….

Seductively Yours is the first book I’ve read from this author. It’s a fun, spicy quick read. Rhyann is a dancer who received a scholarship to her dream dance school in New York. Her new roommate wants her to let loose and have some fun. So they go out dancing at a club. While there, Rhyann meets a gorgeous man and the two of them have some serious fun. Allison, her roommate tells her they to get some jobs and Rhyann agrees but didn’t realize the job was stripping. Who turns out to be her boss, but none other than Mason, her mystery man she had all that fun with. Will her school suffer with her new job or will she be able to juggle them well. What happens when Mason and Rhyann find out who each other are? I enjoyed reading and I can’t wait to read other in this Titans series.

This book was everything I hope for out of a love story. It was cute, spicy, and fun. Even the darker parts of this book were handled with so much love and care. I found myself hooked on every word. Layla is someone I wish I could be friends with! She’s nerdy, loves manga, enjoys a teenager diet, and has such a true heart. Sometimes these types of stories can make a character feel 2-D. However I felt as though I could easily be friends with Vic and Layla. I even found myself whispering advice.
I absolutely recommend this book to anyone ready to get lost in a nerdy fairy tale!

If the authors name; Nicole Howl, wasn’t enough for me nothing would be. A new author for me and goodness where do I begin. The story of Lily and Jason had me shaking, had my mouth dry and my heart pounding hard. Once I began the book I couldn’t stop if my life depended on it. This was incredible. Everything I could have possibly hoped for in a shifter romance. When it ended I was literally out of sorts. I need more, all of what Nicole has to offer me. Palms still sweating and if you’re considering reading this you need to do it. You won’t be disappointed in the SLIGHTEST! The perfect blend of romance, chemistry, angst, despair and thrill.

I really enjoyed this book! It was short, and I honestly would have given it 5 stars if it could’ve been longer so that more detail could have been given for some of the events, but I still recommend it. I was looking for something different than other books I have been reading lately and this did not disappoint.
One of the things that I enjoyed about this book the most was the magical language used in the descriptions. I could see the vivid images in my head and some of them made me laugh or smile. One of my favorite lines in the book was “the mountains just behind the Rio Grande that turned pink and red like a schoolgirl thinking dirty thoughts when the sun rose and set each day”. As a person who has lived in the southwestern part of the United States, I absolutely loved this description!
For a quick, magical read, I highly recommend this book!

I am totally invested in this series. I love how each book is intertwined into the next. The author’s attention to detail when it comes to connecting each book, yet each book centering on different members of the families is what keeps me coming back for the next book. I would not suggest reading this or any of the books in this series as a standalone because each book adds to the bigger picture. In this book, we meet two new characters who are new to the mafia lifestyle. Summer, has bad taste in not only best friends but boyfriends too. Lauralee is Summers’s best friend in Georgia but when Lauralee comes up with a plan to blackmail her New York Mafia boyfriend it sends Summer running for her life and Lauralee dead. When Summer gets confirmation that Lauralee is, in fact, dead, she finds herself in an upscale bar drowning in liquor. This is when Summer meets Luc, has a wild night of adult fun. It’s not until she arrives late for work that Summer realizes the man she has a one-night stand is her new boss! Running from the New York Mafia Summer finds herself now intertwined in the Chicago Mafia. I love the fast pace of this book and how you feel the shift in the relationship between Luc and Summer. I can’t wait to see this series continue!! Keep them coming!!
A wonderful ending to series that captured my heart. This book was about Yolanda, the youngest of 4 siblings, and her husband Michael. Yolanda and Michael left Bunya Junction right after high school. As with many families, things happen and conversations change as life changes. After a scary incident fear has caused the two of them to stop communicating like they used to. When she can’t take it anymore, Yolanda runs away back to Bunya Junction and her family.
I loved the characters in the series. It really made it special to see the family and couples come together. Each book had situations and people that I could relate to and feel the love shared between the couples as the siblings each find their way to love. This last book was emotionally hard to read at times but it is definitely a great ending to this series.

This book is the last of the Notebook mysteries series. I had enjoyed the previous two books . This book picks up from where the last mystery ended. Emma is the vivacious heroine, who stands up for herself in a man driven world. She sets up a business, helps other women and family connections, In this book, she also sets up a charity fund. Her friend Tony asks her to solve a case in Paris. But Emma’s life is in peril. Will she and her friends solve this mystery and get out of danger? This was a very interesting read as the other two books. I thoroughly enjoyed the series.
This book is a historic mystery set in 1883, Chicago. The dynamic heroine Emma is only 18 but much ahead of her age. She develops a keen interest towards solving crime mysteries . In the men driven world of those times, she establishes a successful business of her own, and also helps other women who are in distress. Along comes a mystery where she is threatened and assaulted, but she has to help a family connection. Can Emma solve the mystery? This book takes us on a adventure filled ride along with Emma. I like women centric novels which are set in historic times, the courage and the resolve women had in those days to succeed was far more than what we have now, considering the opposition they had to face from the society. A very nice YA novel, I enjoyed it !
This book is as intelligent as it is sexy! Dr. Stella Magi is a fantastic leading character who is bold, honest, and claims her narrative. She is a strong woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. The action grips you right away with a variety of supporting characters and medical knowledge that deepen your connection to the MetroGen world. The doctors in the love triangle that centers this story are unique, well penned, and nearly impossible to choose between! Unchecked is a book you just want to keep reading! I personally loved the way Carina Alyce tied in an exciting story line with lots of steamy sex scenes. You get just enough specificity around medical procedures and relationships to know she has an in depth understanding of the way hospitals work, yet it is presented in a way that anyone could follow along and enjoy. With a surprise at the end that makes you want even more; I will definitely be seeking out other books by this author!

Stripping. Not what she imagines but she has to pay the bills. Enter the owner one of the titans of Manhattan, Jason. Reading them on the page was fun. This book was worth a read.
