Spring’s Showers (Romantically Seasonal Series) by C.A. King – Review by Jennifer Gordon
Spring’s Showers: Romantically Seasonal: Spring by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
An enjoyable paranormal romantic comedy, which mixes gods, mythology, and romance, resulting in a quirky and engaging read. Cupid is fed up of the other gods thinking his ‘job’, of making couples fall in love, is easy. To stop being ridiculed and taken for granted he wants to prove to the others that helping people to fall in love is the hardest job. Cupid challenges them all to the bet of the century, “pitting deity against deity in a winner-take-all competition”. Each of the four challengers has to bring about the romance of Valentine’s Day, but in their designated seasons. Being spring, Mother Nature is first, believing that nurturing flowers and growing love is not that different. This is a fun, lighthearted romance with an intriguing storyline and fascinating characters, all of which made this a real page turner. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
