A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending Book 1) by Nicole Bailey – Review by Jamie Zabolotney

A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending, #1)A Veil of Gods and Kings by Nicole Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Apollo is the son of Zeus, destined to ascend to Mt. Olympus to become a god himself. But he isn’t ready to give up his mortal life just yet. When Zeus gives him an ultimatum to ascend right away or spend a year mentoring with Prince Hyacinth, which he chooses so he can stay on Earth longer.

I enjoyed the writing style of this book and the characters were well developed. The story line did seem a bit narrow and I think there could have been more to the story than the blossoming romance between Apollo and Hyacinth. That being said, I do think this was an entertaining read and would recommend it.
