This book was amazingly written, packed full of action, drama and redemption. I loved how well this flowed and gripped you from the first page. This author puts a lot of thought and background into this novel, that is bulletproof. I would recommend this book to all the “Criminal Mind’s” fans out there. I felt at times that I was watching a movie but realized I was reading. Can’t wait to read more from this author. Thank you for a wonderful gateway!

This is one of the first books that I have read from this author and I fell in love with it within the first few pages. The author has such a way with words that I was able to visualize everything the characters were seeing and feel everything they were in that moment. Love in the Roses is the fictitious tale of a knight’s daughter, living life as it very well may have been in 1484. This stand-alone historical romance contains an abundance of marital bedchamber antics. Isabel has never met her husband… Their parents have arranged the marriage. But, when Isabel discovers who her intended is, it becomes apparent that he’s on the wrong side of the Wars of the Roses. As a knight with honour, surely her father would not sacrifice their family to the House of Lancaster. Phillip and Anna, an Earl and his brother’s best friend, is a romance that I truly enjoyed. A romance that makes you smile because he just can’t realize that she is in love with him. He is afraid to put anyone through the mess that comes with loving a royal. He asks Anna to help him with a fake romance. These two commence with a pretend relationship complete with drama. I loved it all. The story had romance, steam, drama and characters that just make the story. I’ve always loved these type of stories because of the rags to riches type of theme. In this case, it was you girl next door romance. How can Phillip make this work when her brother is his best friend? The plot is fantastic. It was very well-written and well-developed. This is a terrific romance that you just get sucked into. You should read this one. You’ll be intrigued and learning the meaning of the language will be fun too.

Saved by Love is the seventh book in the Bellvue Bullies series. This book focuses on the coming together of Evan and Callie. I loved the chemistry between the two. I loved the very real portrayal of what it takes to heal mentally. This was a couple that truly built a very real love together while healing. This book is a quick read and a definite page-turner.

This book was really good. Gabriel’s journey was so intense and there was lots of drama. The family dynamic between Gabriel and his mother Juana played for me true to reality, most mothers want their sons to love them the most, even over any wife they might have, they just don’t usually turn to the dark arts to control them. I found the religious aspect or rather the distortion of religion interesting. I enjoyed this novel and would enjoy reading more from this author.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Paige and the Reluctant Artist is a fantastic read. I loved how Paige was taken with Mark right from the beginning. Storm Cloud also helped and made my love for horses deeper.
Paige is an art curator and loves her job. Life hasn’t always been so kind, but she made it to the top. Seeing a painting she wants to get to know the artist behind it. When she does meet the artist she becomes completely attracted to him. Will she get her happily ever after? The quote I chose for Paige is: “I just became lost, spinning in circles, completely unraveling, until I met Mark. He doesn’t see my career, or my designer clothes, or my oh-so-chic uptown apartment. He sees me. The me that’s been buried inside, the me that somehow convinced myself that my worth was in what I did, what I wore, where I lived, instead of the me that could care less about all of it. The me that would willingly live under a bridge with the most incredible man in the world and still know that I hit the jackpot. He opened his heart, left himself vulnerable, for me. So you see, I am still unraveling, but tenderly, wholly, and with all of my heart.”
Mark loves to paint in his downtime and he loves to rescue horses. Storm Cloud being the first and many to follow after. Storm Cloud is also what led Paige to him. Well, a painting of Storm Cloud. Mark has to overcome some challenges, but will he be able to do it? The quote I chose for Mark is: “I love you, Paige. I think I fell in love with you that first day we met. This book was addicting and refreshing! I breezed through the entire book in a few hours, and the story kept me hooked the entire time. The characters were all so relatable and real, and the twists and turns kept me guessing what would happen next. I was gripped from start to finish by this crime, mystery thriller and found this story to be a real page turner. Angie Taylor was the only one of four college girls who were abducted to escape and survive, the other three were brutally murdered. One month later and the traumatised Angie is yet to speak, it’s believed the shock has caused her to become speechless. Angie is unable to talk about her experience and has been unable to speak to describe to a police sketch artist the murderers face. Police are starting to think that she killed her friends and then had a mental breakdown, even her psychiatrist believes that Angie has an emotionally unstable personality disorder. With everyone in the city not sure what to believe, but fearing the worst, that there is a killer on the loose, the FBI send in someone to hopefully get some answers. FBI Special Agent Brenda Reynolds, of the VSRT has been assigned the case, and she must investigate whether, Angie, the silent girl is in fact a killer, has gone insane, or is she actually a victim. If she is a victim then she could still be in danger from a killer who wants to finish what he started. The storyline had me hooked from page one and the plot twists kept me guessing. The story was full of drama and suspense and I felt immersed in the novel. The main characters all bring something different to the overall story. I really felt for Angie, and found that her traumatised state came across in the narrative. Brenda is definitely a ‘no nonsense’ Special Agent and I felt she brought the story together. I loved the interactions between her and retired Marine, Jake Wolfe and of course Cody, his military dog. This was an entertaining read and one which I recommend.

I found myself sitting down to start this cozy mystery and being half way done with it before I even noticed. I thoroughly enjoyed this modern tame if Pride and Prejudice. It felt like the classic book and yet at the same time felt fresh and new. The characters were a great part of this story, drawing you as the reader in. They matched perfectly with the story and made it much more interesting. I enjoyed the mix of British and American. It was entertaining to read and kept the book feeling revived. I thought this was a great re-imagining by the the author and I am looking forward to the next book.

Omg this was an amazing Thriller. I have loved the books by this author from the first one I’ve read and this one is so good. The author does an amazing job of creating a story that is suspenseful and keeps the reader really gripped. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat not wanting to stop reading until you find out the ending.
In this story we are with Angie. What started out as a holiday with her friends turns into a nightmare when they are kidnapped. Angie manages to escape but that’s where things go from bad to worse. After returning to the car with police her 3 friends are found dead and Angie is the number 1 suspect. Angie trys to explain about the kidnapper but with no evidence of anyone else being involved the police don’t believe her. All this trauma causes Angie’s body to shut down and she loses the ability to talk and tell her side of the story.
When FBI Agent Brenda Reynolds comes to see her she realises the only way to get this kidnapper is to get Angie to talk but that is no simple task.
Now it’s a race against time as the kidnapper/killer is still out there and has his eye on Angie. He won’t settle until he gets the girl that got away. Will Angie find her voice before its too late? Will she be able to give a description of the kidnapper or will the trauma she suffered be too great for her to remember anything? And will the kidnapper succeed in his tasks of getting his revenge on Angie?

I thoroughly enjoyed Taylor’s Law by Jennifer Raines. There was a depth to the story that you do not always find. I enjoyed reading the changes that each of the main characters go through allowing them to not only grow as a person but also allow themselves to go after what they truly want. I would recommend this book; it is worth the read.

What can I say but I really enjoyed reading this book. I love romances in general and this was just a really good read. I like how there is the sense of confliction and it was not predictable. The author does a good job of writing in enough drama to help balance out the romance and keep the reader glued. I certainly didn’t want to put it down.
The characters have a great chemistry and it helps to enrich the book. The totally different personas of the main characters makes it more down to earth and easy to relate to. I will certainly be reading more from this author .

Kiss a Thief is a fast-paced contemporary romance with some mystery and angst thrown in! Once you begin the first few pages, buckle up because it is going to be a fast, bumpy, but thoroughly enjoyable ride!
Our story opens up in an art gallery where Mia works for the boss from hell. She is just paying her dues, hoping one day to open her own gallery. In walks the sexy billionaire Dylan Knight who captures her attention when she sees him admiring a piece of art. What begins as a sexy flirtation turns to lust and then much more! Yet, their road to happiness will be full of bumps, and I found myself rooting so hard for this couple, hoping they would get their HEA.
I was expecting a steamy romance, but what I wasn’t expecting was the great suspense and adventure which just added more layers to the book. Without spoiling anything, that little twist added trust issues for both characters, and that, in turn, added more layers and made the characters multi-faceted and complex. If you are looking for a quick, sexy read with some suspense, give Kiss a Thief a try!

Caged Fire is a story that is filled with werewolves, action and romance. Emvee thought that she had lost her family but it turns out that they were captured by the Overlord. The Overlord is the villian in this story who wants to take over the Earth Realm and the Void where humans and people with magical abilties get trapped. There is a lot of lore in this story that is unique such as the women being soul trainers who are strong, fierce warriors. Whereas, the men are soul thiefs who are forced to do the Overlord’s bidding. Unlike most romance stories, there is alot of action in this book but the fight scenes were very cool and descriptive. Emvee and Kayson’s relationship develops throughout the story. So when the time comes for them to finally be together, the reader can give a deep sigh of relief. Caged Fire is a great book for someone who loves action movies and the paranormal.

Anyway, the girl is in trouble and too scared to speak of the incident. This author once again did not disappoint. His story is fast paced and will have you on the edge of your seat. The writing is clear and bone chilling. The characters are likable and your heart will go out for Angie. This is a must read suspenseful story you can’t miss out on. I recommend you read this as well as the other books from this author.

I really enjoyed traveling back in time to 15th Century England and felt as though I was there with the characters. I enjoyed following the journey of young Isabel as she navigated her way through the customs of the time-period. I could feel her inner struggles as she tried to deal with the overwhelming emotions she experienced while trying to please everyone around her. How difficult it must have been for her to be forced into a marriage to a man she did not love because that man that was chosen for her by her father. I sensed the raw emotions she was feeling as though she had no choice but to do what was best for their society and for both families. I enjoyed the storyline, the plot, and the world building. This book was a magical read that contained drama, love, romance, and heroines and heroes. I highly recommend!

A page turner, a psychological thriller. You can’t put this book down; the main characters hook you from the beginning and suck you into their twisted tale. Everyone has secrets and these secrets are beyond what you could possibly imagine. Rosie a quadriplegic from Gulian barre syndrome, her nurse Cate have secrets that could kill. Vincent her charming and con husband has the looks that can get him anything he wants. Everyone’s secrets eventually come out though, but not how anyone would expect them too. A can’t put down book that will leave you questioning everything.

Demon hunter and a twist This was a brilliant read – I totally enjoyed every moment. Rovena is a a kick-ass demon hunter and the battles (both physical and emotional) were delivered well. With mystery, suspense, witty banter and of course demon hunting there is so much to love about this book and so much more left to explore for the rest of the series. I can’t wait.

I absoluetly loved this book! I could not get enough and enjoyed flipping every page until it was done! 5 Stars Caged Fire (The Vigilant Book 1) by LM Preston
Caged Fire is the first book in The Vigilant Series and is a YA/Fantasy that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. This pucks up right where the prequel left us. There’s twists and turns that had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is a fast paced story packed with action, suspense, drama and romance. EmVee is a badass plain and simple. She was changed by dark magic and is going through changes she doesn’t quite understand. She’s trying to figure everything out and at one point has to visit the past. This is a wonderfully written story that has a lot going on at once. But man what an adventure. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the second book. I’m very intrigued to see how this all plays out.

I have read every book Mark has written. I fell in love with his Jake Wolfe series. I was so excited to see he has a new book out and didn’t wait to get my hands on it.
The Girl Who Escaped is another amazing crime, thriller, mystery from this author. Mark always delivers great narrative and vivid details and cleverly woven threads that draw you into the story. The adventure does not let up and continues all the way through this enticing and enthralling, thrill ride. The nonstop tension and suspense are palpable. It was good to see Jake and Cody make an appearance. They are two of my favourite characters.
Angie is trapped in a world of terror, trauma and fear but she is unable to find her way out of this dark, dark hole she finds herself in.
I hope this turns into a series. I for one will be chopping on the bit to grab whatever comes next.

I love reading and I love writing even more- I balance (not always successfully) writing, a career, a family, and a menagerie of rescued dogs, cats, and backyard chickens.
Writing allows me to live vicariously through my characters, escape to worlds and experiences I might never have, and my characters always have a witty response or a perfect retort. (no more 5 hours later having the thought of ‘that’s what I should have said!’)
I’m an avid coffee consumer and adult beverage fan. I love catching up with my friends on Marco Polo and working out at the gym. I avoid cleaning, cardio, and carbs- unless it’s an emergency.
I carve out writing time by starting my day at 515am. Which unfortunately means I’m in bed earlier than I’d like. And I still don’t get my to-do list done!

Amber Waves of Grace is a story about a girl who moves back home after her fathers accident, to help with the family farm. When she moves home, she has more obstacles than keeping the farm going. Her old love that did not end well, is now the pastor of her church. While old emotions and memories are coming to the surface, she is also starting to have new feelings for her ex’s older brother. I can’t say enough good things about this book. I really enjoyed it right from the beginning. The characters are very well developed and there is a lot more to the story than a simple love triangle. There is mystery and sabotage. Laughter and tears. I highly recommend this book and I can not wait to read more from this very talented author.
