I’m a little picky when it comes to my Mystery books. Wow am I glad that I took a chance on this one. Settled in the backwoods of Oregon, you see Logan McKenna playing her violin named Bella, and married to her long-time beau Ben. They are thoroughly enjoying the married life together, and Logan working at the wildlife rescue center, everything is bliss, until one day one of Logans co-workers end up dead. Was it on purpose or was it accidental? The writer leads the reader on a wild goose chase with left and right turns and feels like ad adventure. She leaves just enough to keep you going. I really enjoyed reading this book. I discovered that this was book 8 in a series, but it felt like I wasn’t really missing anything important. The word building was phenomenal, and well executed! I think I may just go back to the beginning and see where this all started in book 1.
I loved the characters in this book! It had the perfect mix of humour, romance and steaminess. It was great to follow Anna and Philip’s story. If you’re one for fairy-tails, this book is for you!

This is the type of heroine every woman needs. She’s strong, courageous, loyal, and trustworthy (spoiler?). Quinnlynn and Kieran are a perfect match (let’s not forget steamy), and a powerful couple not to be messed with. The twist at the end was astounding and mind-boggling!

Rhyann Ward, a Midwest girl next door type with aspirations of becoming a dancer, meets one of the Titans of New York, Mason Steele at a nightclub. Wow, what a romance! It’s steamy, it’s sexy, and a little bit of sweet, mixed in with some uncomfortable situations for Rhyann. I can honestly say I had a hard time putting the book down to do things I needed to do. I really enjoy the Titans of Manhattan series of books. Getting to know these Titans and reading about how each of them finds love. The characters and scene descriptions make it a very enjoyable book to read.

Jonas Courtland and Mackenzie Broderick were high school sweethearts, at least that was Makenzie’s belief. When she finds out Jonas was playing a game all along to get the most quiet and non-cheerleader type in high school when her life falls apart in front of her eyes… Ten years later, Jonas is now one of the Titans of Manhattan and owner of internationally know Courtland Hospitality Group’s CEO. He’s in search of a chef for his new property finding the right fit out of 20 potential chefs candidates. In walks in Kenzie (Mackenzie) to audition for the head chef spot. Will these two work things out or end up enemies? I’ll let you find out. As I mentioned with previous books in the Titans of Manhattan series, I enjoy reading these books. The author does a wonderful job sharing details of the scene and how the characters are feeling that you can empathize with them.

WOW! I am completely amazed with this book. Some steamy books go extra on the sexy stuff and kind of forget about the storyline. I am happy to report that Hard Lover does NOT make that mistake. While it has plenty of hot scenes from the very beginning, I still loved the depth and evolution of Callie and Noah’s story.
Noah has always seen Callie as a friend and someone he should help look after. Her brother, Grant, is his best friend and they have always looked out for each other as well. But when Callie goes to The Stable sex club and sees Noah, his view of her changes completely. Will Grant understand his feelings for Callie, or will it end their friendship? Can Noah protect Callie from his past or will it get them killed?
I can’t think of anything else I would have wanted in this book. It had wonderful character development, and you could feel the chemistry in each relationship. Deborah Garland knocked me off my feet! She is one of my favorite authors and somehow keeps raising the bar higher and higher!

When I started this book, I did not think I was going to like it. I was worried it was going to be less about the story and more about being steamy. I’m happy to say that I was wrong! It was such a good book! Anna McDonnell has known Phillip Sutherland for many years and has had a crush on him. He has only recently begun to see her as a woman and not his best friend’s sister. He comes up with the idea of having her pretend to be his girlfriend to help ease some of the pressures against him. Anna is happy to go along with his plan and hopes she can turn it from something pretend to something real. Their feelings for each other become quite real. But can they overcome all the things against them? Can they ignore the paparazzi? Can they ignore the rest of High Society? Find out in this entertaining story! I loved the battle of wills between Anna and Phillip’s mother. There were a lot of unusual words (for us in America), and I enjoyed that too. Overall, it was a great book!

Wicked Treasure is an original Paranormal Urban Fantasy mystery story. Melissa’s story telling is fun, entertaining yet fraught with perils and danger. There is lots of action and intrigue, mystery, magic, lies and deceit and adventure. This book picks up where the first one ended so I do recommend reading these books in order.
The fantastic world building drew me in and had me totally engrossed. I love me a good supernatural paranormal story and this one is unique and a little thrilling that made for an exciting tale. I love the sassy Heroines Melissa writes.
Magic, witches, the Collective, swords, treasure and mythical creatures are what you can expect in this book. The characters are quirky and have unique personalities. As with the first book I especially loved that the sword was a character and had a fiery spirit all of its own. There is a lot going on in the story but the author has pulled it all together nicely.
Harlow’s story continues in this book along with the story of her best friend Kayda. Harlow is on the run wanting to find the mystery behind the dragon sword. Kayda has been left behind to deal with the Collective who is creating chaos and trying to close ranks and hope that their secrets are not revealed. Kayda is not happy and thus her story unfolds.

This was a great story! And a great continuation of this series. While there is a very detailed prologue that explains the events up to book 4, I still highly recommend reading the first 3 books to get the full experience. This was a very enthralling book, and very detailed like the other 3. I really enjoyed getting to read more of Kara! She is definitely a favorite character of mine by this point. I can’t read to read the next book! This series is definitely moving up on my book lists as a favorite!

This is the third book I have read by LM Preston, and I still find myself transported to her world. Unbreakable Darkness is technically the third book in the vigilant series. While the first two books Insatiable Darkness and Caged Fire take place at the same time as this book, they are from the perspective of Dexter’s older sister EmVee.
While Unbreakable Darkness is like Insatiable Darkness, it is the prequel of Dexter’s story after the family moves to Newport Rhode Island. We first meet Dexter on his first day at a new school, back in New York his 6’4” frame was considered one of the largest students, the students male and female in Newport made him feel average sized. Dexter is the second oldest in his family after EmVee, with twin younger brother and sister Reese and Rei. The first day of school goes from bad to worse when his sister Rei texts him needing help that led to him getting pulled over and arrested by Detective Whalen. When his father Max arrives to pick him up the Detective offers to let him go with no charge if he will agree to being an informant at the high school for him. Students have been disappearing since the end of the previous school year and all through the summer, with no leads the police are concerned. The top athletic students continue to go missing without anyone filing police reports. Months go by and Dexter feels he is finally getting the chance to achieve his dreams. He is on the football team working towards being an elite, promised it would lead to a pro football career after high school. Falling head over heels for London, his mentor Grady’s little sister. Only now he is beginning to question everything about the town of Newport, his girlfriend is keeping secrets linked to the cuts and bruises that appear and disappear all over her body. He witnesses unimaginable events in the woods, vampire looking creatures, one of which he “kills”, giant hybrid spiders with female torsos and faces, told that if they survive making it out of the woods back to their cars they move on to the next stage. Numerous warnings begin making him think he is not crazy that he should be questioning things but his hunger to be a pro footballer is all he wants in the world, and he would do anything and everything he can to succeed in the initiation process.
I cannot wait to read the next book to learn the rest of Dexter’s journey in Scepter of Fire Book 2 of the Vigilant Series. LM Preston’s ability to build the story and characters is beyond amazing. Several characters overlap between the first two books of EmVee’s POV but this book builds on them, we learn more about them and how they are weaved into every one’s story.

Hard Lover is an erotic romantic suspense tale that is hot and spicey and lives up to its title. Who doesn’t love a country boy with a little kink. With sizzling chemistry, forbidden love, some drama, a little laughter, definite danger and a lot of kink it will keep you captivated and the pages turning.
I have read a few of Deborah’s books and I really enjoy her writing style. The characters are strong and the steamy romance is not always smooth sailing it has complexities with twists and turns. I love that the story is told in dual pov as it makes the story richer knowing what the other is thinking.
His past comes back to haunt him. Can he keep her safe?
The chemistry between these two is palpable but she is his best friend’s little sister.
I can’t wait to see what Deborah has instore for us next.

Anna feels out of place in society. The only thing keeping her sane is her best friend, and her crush on her brother’s best friend Philip. As an Earl, Philip feels a lot of pressure to hold a certain standard. Having given up on relationships, the stress from his family and the press to be in a serious relationship weighs heavy on him. When a tabloid paints a picture of Philip and Anna together, it gives him the perfect scheme to help them both.
Pretend relationship dramas get me every time! Anna is strong willed, a little wild, and a lot of fun. I loved getting to know her in this story. The dance around the undeniable chemistry with Anna and Philip was fun to read. Their personalities matched one another so well. Each was just what the other needed, but didn’t know it. And the steamy moments.. They certainly did not disappoint! If you want a good story that will draw you in and make you feel every emotion from happy to lustful, this is the book for you!

Anna is not the typical socialite her brother wants her to be to help the family company. She has never done well in those situations. Then there is her brother’s best friend, Phillip the Earl of Arburne, who she has been in love with for as long as she can remember. Her brother has asked Phillip to help her become more of the socialite needed to better do her job. But the tabloids have decided to say that Anna may be his next conquest after they were seen together at an event. Will things heat up between them or will it make things more difficult? What will the tabloids think of all this?

This is an absolutely beautiful read that was well-researched. I found this book to be very moving and historically accurate.
Michelle and her family are trying to escape before the Nazis take over when they are re-routed back home. However, not all the family members are allowed to return home. Even when they do return, it’s not really home as the Nazis have overtaken everything and made the Nater family their servants in all things.
I can’t imagine the horrors of raising a family during this time in history, not knowing from one moment to the next if the family is in danger or being protected. Young children had to grow up at a remarkedly fast pace and see things that I hope no one, child or adult, would ever have to see.
This is a beautiful read and one that I hope will be well-loved by many!

When Philip is photographed (again) with a woman, he knows he needs to find a way to get the tabloids of his back. Trying to keep it uncomplicated, and with someone he enjoys being around, he proposes an arrangement with his best friend’s little sister.
Anna is trying to get her business up and running…but does not enjoy socializing (a requirement when you want to be successful). So, when Philip (who she has crushed on for years) comes to her with his idea, she makes sure to put her own requirements into the mix.
What starts out as a fake quickly begins to feel real. But, with the pressures of being a royal in the spotlight, it’s hard to decipher between what is fake and what isn’t. Will they go all-in on what’s happening between them? Or will they walk away once their arrangement is over?
This was a delightful story….a fake relationship built on a foundation of secret crushes and filled with plenty of steam. The dialect took a minute for me to get through but, once I did, it added to the ambiance of the story. I enjoyed Anna’s sense of self and I enjoyed watching her blossom throughout the story. Overall, a good book!

Fairly Royal is book 4 of The Fair Series and it is an absolute gem. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone book. I did not feel lost at all even though I had not read the other books in the series. This book is a fake dating romance story and I absolutely loved it. Philip and Anna put on a fake romance in order to throw off the tabloids and he soon finds that she is just the breath of fresh air that he needs. Philip himself is not all that his public persona portrays and is very lovable. He and Anna are adorable. together. Their chemistry is wonderful and I loved reading about them. This book is fun, romantic, and entertaining. There is also some steam and sizzle for you. This was a great book!

Book one, Diabolical Sword, felt like both introduction and teaser of the world where magic exists. Not only does magic itself thrive in a city, but there are supernatural forces – and beings – that have and use it. I fell in love with the series within the first few chapters of the first book, so when I had the opportunity to read this, the second of the Charm Collector series, I jumped on it. And I’m so glad that I did! Wicked Treasure is the continuation of Harlow’s story with the added mix of her best friend, Kayda’s, point of view. Harlow, her sword, and the illusive Caspian are on the run, attempting to solve the mystery of the origins of the sentient sword…one thing leads to another, and our heroine finds herself in yet another precarious situation. Meanwhile, Kayda’s left in Luma to handle the fallout- and something she never expected to have to deal with. The concept behind the draken is so intriguing to me, so I’m thrilled that the author decided to expand on them just a bit in this book. Kayda struck me as a fierce-warrior in book one, but we get to see a little more complexity from her in the sequel. The characters, even the side characters, in these books feel so alive and well-written that the entire story practically weaves itself into your imagination. Now I’m trying to be patient and wait for the next book, but I have a feeling – just like with this one – that the third book will be worth the wait!

Fairly Royal: A Slow-burn, Scottish, Billionaire, Steamy Romance by Grace Grahme
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. This book was fantastic and I had a hard time putting it down. Phillip and Anna will leave you wanting more of their story.
Phillip is an Earl and doesn’t like how the tabloids destroy him. He goes to Anna in hopes for a fake romance not granting she’d agree. When she does agree he realizes that the fake romance is turning into a real one. Will he be able to pull his head out of his butt to figure out he’s got a good thing going. The quote I chose for Phillip is: “You’ll stand out no matter what. Don’t worry about impressing them. Many won’t understand your drive and determination. That you aren’t content to live life to the expectations of the Posh . You are different, and if they can’t appreciate that, it is their loss.”
Anna has had a crush on Phillip for ten years. He went to college with her brother and she knows he’s off limits. That’s until he asks her to go out with him as his fake girlfriend. She doesn’t want to be in the pish posh but for Phillip she’d do anything. The quote I chose for Anna is: “You were willing to help more than a few times. I placed you on a pillar of aloofness all these years, but you’re kinder than I imagined. And bringing me dinner was the best. You made my day end on a high note.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

This is not typically a book I would read, but since my name is Callie I felt like I had to read it. Let me tell you I was not disappointed! I was hooked from the first chapter with the juicy details from the Stable. Follow that up with several HOT scenes that keep upping the anti. The plot has suspense and mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Callie has had a crush on Noah for six years and it finally acting on it to get what she wants. Only Noah is her brothers best friend and thus ‘forbidden’. Noah has a past of his own and must face it in order to be with Callie, the only girl he wants. Will Callie and Noah be able to work through their past and be a couple together?

I thought I’d be writing that this was the last book in this fantastic series but I’m so happy to now know that the author plans to bring out another book bringing all 5 couples from the series together. I was planning on saying that she had saved the best until last but you never know what the next book will bring. I can say that this has been my favourite…so far!. This book is a brilliant example of a romantic suspense novel. As with all the other Titan books. It’s hot and steamy but this one had a thrilling storyline with Kris’ estranged wife which really had me gripped. Kris and Alessia’s story really had me hooked from the very first chapter and did not let me go until the very end. I was totally engrossed in their story. I really loved both characters. The author has done ana amazing job in creating the Titan characters and the women they fall for and Kris and Alessia are very well written and I could have read about them for hours and hours. This is a series that I will definitely read again and I can’t wait to read the book that brings all 5 couples together.

This is book 1.5 of the Vigilant Series. And just like the previous books in the series it is a great paranormal story that will keep the reader gripped.
In this book we follow Dexters story. Since moving with his family things seem to be going from bad to worse. Dex always seems to attract trouble and it seems moving to a new place hasn’t changed that. However things start to take a dangerous twist when he gets involved in things he doesn’t understand and starts to unravel secrets he shouldn’t know about.
Add to this a romance, a murder mystery where kids are going missing and a plot twist that involves something wrong with the football team and cheerleaders and a magical ring and this book becomes one read you can’t put down. This story is told through Dexter’s eyes and his reactions to the situations happening around him.

This story has so many twists and turns that kept me constantly waiting with bated breath to try and fit the pieces of the puzzle together. I was consumed with this book as it had me captivated and I could not put it down. I was drawn in and could not put the book down. This book is dark, twisty, suspenseful and a murder mystery all in one. Also her thinking the same about herself. I just loved their chemistry and honestly Celia’s bratiness. They bounced off each other so playfully and well. I cannot wait to read anything else written by this author. This was just a great time. Review by @michellerenee6590

They could be our friends, people around you everyday. This is one series I am sure to follow. I just have to see where the author takes this series. This is a must read, even though there are many emotions. Some may be sensitive to some of the situations. Still worth the read.

Philip is married to his station… He’s grown up with expectations heaped on his shoulders by his family and society. Every move he makes is scrutinized by the media. To be seen with him, is to be cast into the rumor mill of the papers. Anna, the sister of his best friend, is seen with him at an event and the pictures and rumors abound! However, she doesn’t shy away from the press or the rumors. Philip comes up with the idea to “pretend” to be together to shift the press’ focus off of him once they are consistently seen together. What he doesn’t know is that Anna has had a serious crush on him for YEARS! Can his scheme work without involving any broken hearts?
This was a fun read. I enjoyed reading about Anna and Philip and their lives. I am a sucker for anything Scottish, though! The dialogue in this contemporary love story was delightful. The author did a great job of writing these characters as if they were real people. I was drawn into the story immediately and didn’t want to put it down! I would read this author again!

Just love this cover ! Owls are my thing ❣️🦉 besides Bella making her appearance again there was so much to this read …..
Logan is enjoying married life with Ben and her work with the raptors is rather fulfilling and the people she works with seem nice , that is until she finds one of them dead and while everyone else thinks it was natural causes Logan thinks otherwise and in doing so puts herself at risk …..
A read that ticked many boxes for me and I thoroughly enjoyed each , I even read some pages aloud at our family gathering ❣️📕🦉

Wow-O-Wow! What an amazing story! It is well built with characters that I could not help but grow to love as the story moved along. I was Wowed over the telling and everything that happens! I was thrilled, surprised and shocked over events that happened.
I absolutely adored the characters! Leah…impressed me while trying to save Silver. She did not quit or give up! Learning about her crazy fantastical life…its almost like she is a storybook character. Haha! Dom was scary then he became sexy and he really alternated between the two. He is a hard read. The connection between these two is Smokin’ H-O-T! I loved all their time together.
Secondary characters are just as good as the main. I enjoyed meeting the Bratva family. I did have a few favorites! Also I had mixed feelings about one character on Leah’s side…a blast from her past.
Overall I LOVED this story! Its very creative and kept me reading late into the night. This is one of those stories that made me think and worry about the characters even when I wasn’t reading. I did see who the next story is about and I eagerly look forward to it!

What an excellent mystery! I was kept in suspense until the very end. Although part of a series, I plunged right in with no prior experience with this series. I was not disappointed. The characters were developed seamlessly, and the story flowed smoothly.
The Cool Thing: A Dark Comedy. Or Not. The Cool Thing series: Book 1 By: Robert Rife Review by: Susan Ratchford 5 stars
I have never read anything like this! This story is everything you want it to be and more. Robert Rife creates a world full of monsters, aliens, love, and surprises in this delightful dark comedy where things can only get worse. The dark and twisted humor and the weirdly fascinating story kept me turning pages! I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to pick up the next book! Robert Rife uses vivid imagery and language to bring these wonderfully bizarre characters to life. His use of dialogue like Deena Lynn’s bubbly “Okaydee?” or any of the dark jokes really captured me and brought some fun realism to this strange and scary tale. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to be horrified and laugh out loud at the same time!

Ian Troy has been enslaved for being a magic user. But, before that he was a soldier. Great story full of twists, you never know what will happen next. Can’t wait to read the entire series.
