This is the first book I’ve read by the author. I couldn’t put this book down and had a hard time with it ending. You will love Thief if you love an enemy to lovers books. This one will leave you hanging by a thread.
Leah is a celebrity and came from nothing. She shops, but she always checks her receipts. Losing her wallet turns out isn’t that bad as now she’s stuck with the thief who stole her car. The quote I chose for Leah is: “No! You get out! This is my car! I worked my ass off for this beauty, and you are not taking her from me!”
Dominik is good at his job selling cars and stealing them. So imagine his surprise when the exact car he’s looking for parks next him at a store. He’s never been caught until Leah. Shocks him, but now he’s got a famous hostage. The quote I chose for Dominik is: “Yeah. Tie her up and toss her in the back of the Escalade. Then follow me back to the shop.”
Emma and crew are back, building relationships and solving mysteries. This one is in 1887 and starts off with a bang. Emma and Jeremy are building their lives together and growing together as a couple. They are so sweet, so well written, and I love that Emma is a strong young female lead and Jeremy is an adamant supporter of her.
Going from chasing bank robbers, train crashes, murder, missing spouses, sabotage and child endangerment to feeling unsure of Jeremy’s mothers intentions once they meet and scouring the papers for cases because Emma is bored seems like a big range of topics. However, as with the rest, Emma and her world is beautifully written, has great leads, wonderful descriptions, excitement, excellent relationship building and is all tied together and delivered with a bow. These books stay on your mind until you can devour the whole thing.
Hailey is hell-bent on ruining her stepfather so much so as to set him up. She’s an intelligent hacker who only has one person in her life to trust since her mother doesn’t seem to care one way or the other how she feels about things. Trey is part of the Mafia but also an incredible surgeon and caring man deep down. Once he is brought into the loop to bring Hailey home things turn into MORE, so much MORE for Trey and Hailey. I really enjoyed reading this story and learning as it unfolded the mysteries of it. The love Trey and Hailey have for one another is unconditional.

Mia. Nico. She is a force for sure and he is her equal. After being used as something to gain power Mia took her life into her own hands and sought out Nico. This book brought me to tears because of Mia’s story. She has never known unconditional love and continues to fight for what she deserves. She’s fierce. Nico is the underboss of the La Rosa Family Mafia. He is a computer nerd and is the only one that hasn’t found his other half. There is love, action, comedy and so much more in this book and I didn’t want it to end. Nico gives Mia everything she’s ever wanted and what she deserves and Mia shows Nico that she can be trusted in ways he never thought. They come from rival Mafia’s and neither of them trust each other from the start.

The Blood Prince by Ayla Marie. I loved this book. This is the story of Leo who is a Blood Prince because of blood that flows thru his eyes when he has a mission to complete. He is the right hand man of one of the cold blooded crime lords. Problem being its illegal to have blood eyes in Tominay where he lives. If he is caught with blood eyes it is immediate execution! Leo has had to provide for his sibling for most of his life so he did whatever it took to feed them and take care of them. When Leo’s boss approaches him about his knowledge of Leo’s brothers super powers and he wants his brother to join them. Leo has always been fearful of this. The brothers soon embark on a crazy dangerous adventure full of danger, demons, power and fights. Will they survive the whole ordeal? This book will keep you flipping pages til late in the night.

This book was my first read by this author. I was intrigued by the fact that we share a name and had to pick up this book to see the world within the pages. It is very rare I encounter someone that I share a name with. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will pick up future books by Ayla Marie.
The storyline of The Blood Prince was interesting to read. The characters were well developed. Leo, one of the main characters we meet in the beginning, appears to be more of the villain of the story, but by the end his portrayal changes. On the run from both the past and the future Leo and his siblings try to find a better future. Will the past sink its hooks into them and keep them burdened by it? Will the future they run from win or will they be able to create the better future they seek? Pick up the book to find out for yourself. You won’t regret it.

I could not put this book down! I have not read any books by Deborah Garland before I read this book and let me just say I am going to be looking to read more of her books soon! The beginning of the book totally had me hook, line and sinker and I was drawn to reading this book. The story between Callie and Noah was EXPERTLY written and had me wanting to read more about them. The steamy scenes were written very well and the way the author wrote made me feel as though I was right there like a fly on the wall as everything happened. If you are looking for your next great book to read, then this is it!

Leah Hart is the country’s sweetheart but what lies beneath the surface are secrets which if anyone found out would ruin her, but when she tries to stop someone stealing her car, she is not prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions and feelings that are brought to the surface within this encounter. The only problem is he is not the type of person she should be with but when have emotions ever been easy.
I have to say this book had me griped from the first word to the last, the writing was brilliant, and the story flowed with chemistry and action which kept your interest throughout. I must admit I am a sucker for a bad boy especially a Mafia bad boy and the character of Dom does not disappoint, with his broody, hidden in the dark persona just added to the mystery of him and learning about him enhanced the story along the way. The character of Leah was a great half to him, I loved the sassy nature of the character and that she was not afraid to push against the boundaries that Dom has stacked up for his self which added another layer to the story.
Although this is the fourth book in the series I read this quite easily as a stand alone book, although I can imagine that the secondary characters within the story have either there own stories or are getting there own stories in this series and to be honest it does not take a lot for me if I really like a series to add the previous books to my every growing TBR list lol. I can’t wait to read more books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Anna is a little spitfire and while she is mindful of Phillip’s position she doesn’t let anyone dictate to her and she is determined to be accepted for who she is and for that she has my respect because it’s so easy to cave and she has backbone she wasn’t afraid to take on anyone who gave her a hard time , good grief she faced Phillip’s mom and gran that already says enough . She’s faithful to him and sees him for the man he is not for the stature and stays that comes with him so she’s a gem !
I loved getting lost in these pages , I laughed I got frustrated at times and there were a few times where I wished I could have dishes out a few slaps to some deserving unkind souls !!!!

Overall I liked this book. I really liked the story idea of twisting a classic fairytale. I was drawn to this book because I love twisted fairytales and the cover is beautiful. This is an erotic, BDSM romance- with plenty of triggers, dark themes, emotion, steam, banter, pleasure/pain, drama, and intensity. This is not a light and fluffy read, and I urge you to read the warnings before diving in- see below…. “This book isn’t a sweet, lighthearted romance with a sexy ripped man and a sweet submissive woman. So if that’s what you’re expecting, turn back now. These two break rules….. This book contains depictions of self-harm, intent and thoughts of suicide, mention of child abuse, and rape. It also contains graphic scenes of some BDSM acts that are often referred to as “edge play,” and may be upsetting or triggering to some readers. This content includes knife/blood play, choking, spit, face slapping, degradation/humiliation, heavy impact, hypnosis and brainwashing, and consensual non-consent…” I have read a LOT of erotic BDSM stories in my time and am always excited to find a new one in the hope that it stands out from the rest of the crowd. This is not an easy genre to master, and often I am left feeling a little disappointed, as was the case with this book. Sorry… This should have ticked all the boxes for me and been a scorching red-hot read. But unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. I felt that some elements of the story seemed a little odd, and not really in keeping with the main storyline- and didn’t gel with the rest. Added to that this is quite a long story, which normally I would find fantastic as I love nothing better than to really sink my teeth into a story and lose myself in all the enticing developments- but the length of this story really detracted from my overall enjoyment of the book, being quite wordy with a lot of information dumps which really broke the flow of the story for me. This book has the potential for so much more but as it stands it didn’t work for me. But don’t let me put you off reading this book, as plenty of other readers have given it 5 stars, so obviously I am in the minority here. I am intrigued but what else this author can do, so I will pick up another of her books to explore just to compare. Emotive, with a big trigger warning! Happy Reading!

What would you do if you came across a UFO that makes you feel a little weird and gives off a funny smell? I have never read a book like The Cool Thing before! This was full of things your wildest imagination couldn’t even think of. It took me quite a bit to get into it as the first few chapters are very short and seemingly disconnected, but once I got a feel for the flow it was mind-blowing. Full of monsters, quirky sci-fi events, and even love, I was not sufficiently prepared to soak all of this in on the first read. I fully intend to read it again before I pick-up the next book in this jaw-dropping series!
If you keep an open mind when you begin reading this, it won’t take long for you to be absorbed in Robert Rife’s incredible storytelling abilities. Give it a chance and you’ll come out the other side with a marvelous yet dark picture of what is going on with all of these characters.

Great debut book! Quick, easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Perfect portrayal of single mom life & how messy divorce can be! A little bit of a slow start—however, it did keep me captivated until the end!

Desperately trying to get ahead, Elizabeth is drawn into a pyramid scheme that increases her already large credit card debt. Just when Elizabeth thinks things can’t get any worse, they of course do! Murder & family drama, delivered with humor, keep the reader engaged from start to finish! Highly recommend and can’t wait for Ms. Hernon’s next book!

The Letter Carrier absolutely took my breath away. Not only is this based on the true life story of a French girl, Michelle Naget, during the German invasion of France during World War II, but it’s a tale of faith, determination, family, and perseverance. The characters of L. C. Lewis are so beautifully written and realistic that it was easy to picture the Naget family together at their house, having dinner together, interacting with one another, and loving one another. Lewis’s descriptions of the French towns and countryside, as well as her accounts of the planes and their attacks, made me feel like I was there with the Naget family preparing a meal, or traveling the roads when the German pilots began to attack. This story made me giggle with the connection the family has with each other. But there is also heartache and worry, as well as anger and horror. The Letter Carrier is so many things rolled into one and I couldn’t put it down!

What happens when a Bratva prince who steals and resells cars unknowingly kidnaps a world famous country music star? Wow! I can’t wait to read more of this series! I loved every second of it! Leslie Georgeson creates an immersive world full of danger, fast cars, steamy romance, humor, and wonderful characters in this enemies to lovers mafia romance. I suggest you pick up her first book in the series and join The Popov Bratva from the beginning, but if you dont you can definitely read this book by itself too. This book gave me serious fast and furious vibes with the sexy fast sports cars and the fast paced action. From the first moment we are introduced to her I fell in love with Leah’s character. She is determined, strong, and a little bit reckless especially when she is flipping her kidnapper Dominik the bird. Their relationship is complex and steamy! Georgeson’s vivid descriptions, especially with certain characters’ looks, made this story so real and interesting. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series and catching up on the ones I missed! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hot romance series to sink their teeth into!

Both the author and series are new to me and all I want to know is how did it take so long for me to find Both of them?
Leah and Dominik’s story grabbed me from the very beginning. I have read tons of books and never have I had one start quite like this and I enjoyed every second of it.
There was so much suspense and danger all the way through and it kept me on the edge until the end.
Leah has quite the past. She left her old life behind, but it wasn’t as far behind as she expected and it was much more than I expected.
Dominik feels a little restless, or at least that is how I interpreted it. Still reeling over the events from the past year has him making decisions he never would have in the past.
I am so glad I have found this book and now the series, will add the older ones to my never ending TBR list and plan on looking for the next in the series. I really like this group of characters and I’m looking forward to catching up with them.

As a debut novel, this book was well written with varying levels of intricacy. While it does take some time to unravel the strings of some characters it is fascinating to have several stories within one story.
Lisette has only one dream, to become the Queen’s jester. After all it seems to be one way out of the poverty life her father’s acts placed upon her along with the disadvantage to not having the family magic. Luc is also competing to become the Queen’s jester and is Lisette’s fiercest competitor. Yet as you unravel their tales and they grow closer to each other and closer to the competition more secrets are revealed. Will these secrets lead Lisette to her fame or familial redemption?
In some books it is clear to identify the villain of the story and the heroines. But not in this book, you root for some and find out you don’t like them as much in the end. While at times the buildup is slow, the cast of characters is diverse and captivating. The author does a beautiful job weaving together the different character backgrounds into one masterful tale full of mystery and intrigue.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The Cool Thing is a book that will leave you confused, but it’s an interesting read. It will leave you wanting more from the author.
There were several characters in the story and I really couldn’t choose one to talk about. You’ve got Carl; who is hoping for a break in life, Manny; who runs the shop Carl goes to all the time and he likes hiding away from his wife, and R.L.; who lives next door to a black woman who’s church just inherited a haunted house and is dating a teenager. I couldn’t choose a quote for any of them.

I love Greek mythology and I was very intrigued by this story and decided to listen and this story was fantastic!!

This book will have you hooked from the very beginning.
In Oasis it is all about being Jester. A great honor to work for the queen herself. But everyone has a different motive for wanting the position. Let’s meet our main cast shall we…
Lisette/Mirage – daughter of the late Judge who was executed for murdering the King. She wants this position to get away from the stigma and make a path for herself.
Luc- the competition. A great street performer who takes every opportunity to be a thorn in Lisettes side. Though later in the book we find out that he is in fact the bastard child of the late King and wants the Jester position to prove the Queen killed his father.
Yasmin- A really good friend. A pet trainer and magician herself. She helps Lisette get close to the Queen and they become friends. Though we see in the book Lisette does not know how to handle that.
Cillian – Lisette’s trainer and friend. Owner of a cat and a bookshop (Both things I love that made him my favorite character hands down). Blackmailed by Lisette to give her his magic they quickly become friends with great back and fourth banter.
The Queen – Though she comes off as the grieving widower. We see that she is very smart and highly underestimated. And just like everyone else she has a plan of her own.
In the book the Queen and her seekers have come to Oasis to find a new Jester and nothing goes according to plan. There is betrayal, magic, and lies in the air as everyone is looking out for themselves or so it seems.
Things I loved about this book. Strong Female Lead. Quick paced read. Great Friendships. Happy Ending.
I’m just going to say this because I believe it needs to be said. This book did not need a romance angle. and it is the one thing I truly did not like about this book. That and the fact that I wanted Lisette to continue to have her Father’s magic so she could have a relationship with her brother and maybe even father as they are take away from her unjustly. Also the ending did seem a bit anti-climatic.

The Letter Carrier is a wonderful Historical and Inspirational read. The Letter Carrier is the first book that i have read by this Author. The letter Carrier is one of my Top reads of this year. This book sucks you in right from the begging. This Author has a way of describing events that really makes you feel like you are right there. I really enjoyed all the Charaters in this story. I look forward to reading more books by this Author and I highly recommend this book. If Historical reads is your thing, you must add this to your TBR list you won’t regret it. Thank you for writing this wonderful read and I look forward to reading more books by you.

I love shifter romances, and this one didn’t disappoint. The author has fantastic world building throughout the book, making me feel like I was right there. Quinn is a likable character and well written. There is plenty of action and twists along the way, kept me turning those pages.

An enjoyable and engaging second chance at love romance, with a twist, which had me happily turning the pages. Addison and Wesley were teenage sweethearts who were separated after a brutal attack, which left Wesley with memory loss. Having been blamed for the tragedy Addison had to stay away from Wesley, and was forced to watch from a distant as he rose to fame, singing songs that they had actually written together. Ten years later and Addison gets accused of stealing Wesley’s lyrics when an old songbook of hers comes to light. When the couple come face to face their connection is still there, and one look at Addison and although Wesley does not remember her, he recognises something in her. Neither of them can resist the chemistry between them, and Addison can’t resist being with him once again, even if it’s just for a night. Does his instant attraction mean that his memories are coming back, and if they do will it be their second chance or will Wesley wish he had remembered to forget Addison. I loved Addison and Wesley and felt immersed in their story, but they did take me on an emotional rollercoaster. The storyline is both heartwarming and at times heartbreaking, with an unpredictable plot that kept me hooked. I was hoping that the couple, who’s chemistry really came across in the narrative, would get their HEA.

This book is not your average romance but holy WOW! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and while she took care to add warnings, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m glad I read it though because it was so good. Intense but good.
I don’t want to say too much about the happenings of the book because honestly you just need to read it. I will say there are some heavy themes and potential triggers but if you can get passed those you might find yourself sucked into this book. It’s very well written with relatable characters. Definitely worth a read!!

This book was way, way, more than its title. Thief was action-packed and full of two characters who had walls up for days. Leah had secrets buried, deep. Dom was grieving and taught himself from a very young age not to allow himself to get close to someone or care, people die. The chemistry and the story that unravels between these two is heartwarming and I loved every second of it.
