I love this series so much! This author has a beautiful way of writing and taking you for a ride. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. Happy, excited, mad, and sad in a short time. As always the author does an excellent job of dealing with real-world topics in a gentle way. Amazing series and book, I would highly recommend reading it! I can’t wait to see what else is in the works.

I definitely read these books out of order, but this book was just as good as book two and three. When I first discovered this series I had no idea who this wonderful author was or how quickly I would devour her books. While this is a series each book can be read as a stand alone, however the series is so great that trust me you won’t won’t to stop at one. The plot was original, full of action and romance, and of course plenty of twists to keep you interested. Do if your looking for a great new story pick this one up today.

Okay. This was really cute! I loved getting introduced to the handsome bachelors and seeing a tidbit of all their personality’s. I really loved getting to know Jake though- he had such a sweet side and there were so many highlight-able moments! (I’m one of those weirdos that highlights and leaves comments when I read.) Lauren was pretty fabulous to read too- it’s just that Jake stole my heart! I love how committed he was to finding true romance- not just something easy. Also- the place where they first meet? Such a cool concept. I would love to do something like that! This was such a refreshing book. I can’t wait to read the rest!

This was a great read! It was emotional and inspiring. Finding out everything was based off of real experiences just made it more impactful. I’m very glad I picked this book up. I think this is a book everyone should read. One thing I enjoyed is the different perspective. A lot of World War Two memoirs and stories focus on the jews and this one was focused on France. Which was a different take than what I’m used to and I’m grateful for because sometimes it is easy to forget that other people were just as impacted by the war, just in different ways. Kudos to the author for this riveting tale. I can’t wait to read more from her in the future!

Now we are on to the fourth book of this series! Master Romano is part of the list where the Masters are trying to see who they can actually trust. He’s having to prove that trust with letting them come to his home and watch everything he does. Meanwhile, some nice looking witch, Raven, is watching Romano’s property. She ends up helping the vampires. Of course we have smexy times, drama, and more story plots. This Author is seriously one of my favorites due to this series!!! Ready for the next book!!!

Ashes (Modern-Day Fairy Tale Book 1) by MK Harkins – Review by Jessica Stone
This book is a modern take on Cinderella, and wonderfully done in my opinion. With out giving away to much Ashes, is about a young girl named Ashley(ironically enough) who if forced into serving her wicked step mom and step sisters and work in her stepmothers recently acquired mortuary after her fathers recent death. Harry is a handsome and troublesome bad boy musician who is being forced to attend her school after getting into some legal trouble and this is where their worlds collide. It is a classic, she doesn’t want anything to do with him, and he wants no one’s attention but hers, which she obviously won’t give to him, everyone is fighting to keep them apart troupe.
Ashley is strong independent and snarky and hilarious trying to navigate losing her father who was her world, and Harry is a bad boy rockstar, who may have a strong exterior but inside he’s fighting his own battles.
All and all very well written, I always find quick witty banter between characters to be refreshing, it helps for me to fall in love with them. The author did a wonderful job in bringing just enough information about each character (including the side characters AND villains) to build the story but not make it feel like an overload of unneeded information. I believe this book can be read as a standalone but I’m hoping for more in this series, for me it was a quick read but that’s because once I started, I couldn’t stop. So if you’re looking for a good, YA, Cinderella, modern day retelling give this book a read, you won’t be disappointed.

I loved being able to binge these books all together and not have to wait for the next installment! The series is fun and lighthearted. The characters are wonderful and there is such wit throughout the series that everything tied together! This series was one of the easiest I have ever binged and I loved every minute of it!

This book was an absolute whirlwind. I’m not the biggest fan of Stephen, but who knows what the 5th book will bring. There is a very intense and graphic scene about 80% percent through the book, but compared to the first, it’s pretty tame. I started this book early in the morning waiting at the mechanic, and I meant to just do a little reading before bed, but before I knew it, I was sucked in and lost in the writing. I 100% recommend this book and the other books in this series!

Jake by Toni Denise is book 1 in the Billionaire Blind Dates series. This was definitely a good book. I actually really loved the concept of the blind date where you don’t even get to see your date prior. I think that would be fascinating! Jake agrees to go on a date that each of his best friends choose. Will one of them be his dream girl? Or just another one after his money? Lauren hates rich guys and doesn’t like how they flaunt their status. But she agrees to go on a date that her friend chooses. The chemistry is obvious but Lauren is trying to take it super slow. After a while they figure out who the other is accidentally, is it going to be too much? Truly loved this book and the concept, can’t wait to read about the other boys! I hope his one particular friend gets what’s coming to him!

Yet another wonderful book full of mystery! I think this might be my favorite Fitz book so far! I was completely sucked in and finished it in a few hours. I love that we got to see more with Hudson and Stella in this book, and more from MJ, Andy, and Fitz’s dad. There were so many things the author absolutely sidelined me with, and things I for sure didn’t see coming. I honestly can’t get enough of this series. It’s so well written, executed well, and a fantastic read all around. Definitely recommend.

Wow. This book. Just like the first, I was completely sucked into another of Fitz’s investigations. I am 100% in love with this series. This book definitely was full of twists and turns, and kept me on the edge of my seat. There’s heartbreak and love, and of course mystery. Absolutely loved it. I cannot recommend this series enough, I’m pretty sure my husband is so tired of hearing about it. I cannot wait to see where the story goes with Fitz’s family in the third book.

I had this sitting on my TBR for about a month before I started to read it. The first chapter threw me for a loop, and I was hooked. It is very graphic, so proceed with caution. This was absolutely a wonderful story to listen to. This is the story of 2 people that come together with love and healing. Max Logan is back home after being wounded in combat. Not only he has battle scars but also his emotional scars that burden him as well, Skylar Ward is a single mom doing her best to make ends meat while caring for her daughter, Maddie. When Max offers to help Skylar with her car, this leads to a friendship at first. As Max slowly breaks down his walls around his heart, he lets Skylar in as well as Maddie.
There are a few twists and turns along the way……that really brought this book together. This is a wonderful, feel good listen. I loved the characters, especially Maddie…I love how the author makes her wise beyond her years…and having Max and Skylar come together to heal each other in their heart and souls. Truly heartwarming.

The Aloha Series books 1-3 by Jill Brashear were perfectly written, fun, witty and dangerous. I loved the insight on the characters from the other book but not too much that it took away from their individual stories. I was so happy to have read all three books in one. It was really great not having to wait for each book. The author really makes you wish you were a local from Hawaii.
Try Easy. Oh man I loved Keoni and Lou’s story. What person wouldn’t want to be swept away in Hawaii? Lou has her life planned out but when she and her best friend take a vacation to the incredible islands of Hawaii, everything changes. Keoni is much like a celebrity in Hawaii. A talented surfer and amazing person, he doesn’t dislike anything except tourists. But almost two weeks with Lou isn’t enough. The pair are drawn to one another and have to figure out if they want to make it work. I was obsessed!
Try Right. This was such a cute story. Declan has an image, a reputation and does what it takes to protect that because he just wants to surf. Pearl just wants to fulfill her mother’s legacy and dream. I didn’t think I’d do desperately want to take up surfing because of a book but I’d definitely try it now. Pearl and Declan just fit together and I’d really love to see more of their relationship and how her career pans out.
Try Me. I didn’t read up on who this was going to be about before I started and I was very surprised at who the author chose for this book. Claudia has history with the islands, but she hasn’t been back since. She had a fling the summer she came and now wants it back. That is until she meets Henry. Henry is used to danger but it seems women are a different danger for him, especially Claudia. I really enjoyed their romance story. They were sweet, funny and it felt right.

Mavis, Josh, and Austin are all characters that feel so real! This story really pulled me in and held me hostage from beginning to end. I could almost feel the struggle between having to choose between the one you loved and the one you don’t want to hurt. Overall, a good story!
The Letter Carrier is one of the most captivating books I’ve read. I love reading about WWII and Nazi Germany, and this book checked all those boxes. The book is largely based on a true story and reads like a memoir. There is so much detail and you can feel the fear in the characters. It is focused around Michelle Nagat and her family, during a 4 year stretch. They have the largest home in their French village, which is commandeered by German soldiers in the 1940s. They quickly become prisoners within their own home, being servants to the soldiers. In fear of their lives daily, they do what they must to survive. I loved reading the ending, telling of the current lives of the characters. We also hear about the authors research and work put into writing and publishing the book. Highly recommend, this book held my attention start to finish, and beyond. I found myself Googling the family and events, to see what details were factual. I would love to read other books by the author, as she writes wonderfully, capturing the characters, and truly does her research.

I loved Jake! I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. It’s such a fun concept. A dating app/restaurant, but in this particular case their friends are setting them up on the blind dates. Jake isn’t having any luck in love and relationships. All the women who want him, only want his money and status. They don’t want to know who he really is. Until one night a poker game among friends changes things. They convince him to join this dating app to go on blind dates. The blind dates are in a restaurant attached to the app, that’s in complete darkness. Lauren is a mess. A horrible roommate that makes her late for work and wants her out. Cade and Catherine are the angels she never knew she needed. Lauren is Cade’s secretary and Catherine is his sister but also does company PR. Catherine convinces Lauren to let her set her up on the blind date app. Little does Lauren know, she knows the person that she was set up with. This book is Lauren and Jake’s story and how they navigate the app, plus their differences in social status. Having different types of obstacles along the way, the author keeps you intrigued. Keeps you rooting for them throughout. The beginning of a sweet and entertaining series. Bring on Book 2!

I don’t think there’s enough words to describe how much I love this series. Master Romano rates right up there with the rest. If you love vampires this series is definitely for you. I’ve always been obsessed with vampires and shifters. So anytime I come across a book of that nature it takes a lot for me not to read it. This author is no different. The Vampires and witches are at war and Isala has gone rogue. Master Romano can’t be trusted, or can he? Overmaster Descallia has his doubts. So he sends Lucas to Romania with Romano to keep tabs and report back to him. Overmaster Descallia leads with an iron fist and is well respected in the vampire world. Also the way his character is written in this particular book reminded me why I love him so much!! Anyway back to Master Romano and his new witchy friend Raven. Raven sees through the propaganda about vampires. Was she raised to be scared of them? Absolutely! Is she afraid of them? Absolutely not! She’s actually just as intrigued in Master Romano as he is her. Which is a big faux-pas. Witches and vampires can not counter mingle, they are at war. Despite Descallia’s peace efforts. Unfortunately, like the rest of the books in this series you get a bit of Devora and Descallia going head to head. Do they track down Isala? What happens if they do fine her? If you’re stumbling across this series for the first time, please go back and start with Master Descallia(book 1.) And if you’ve read the first three I don’t know what you are waiting for. Me? I’m waiting for book 5, and while I do so I’m going to start again. I feel like this series will be the series that keeps on giving each time you read it!

This is a new author to me, and I really enjoyed this book. This is the first book in the series, and I want more, now. I can’t say enough about this book. This book is sweet,but not in a cheesy way. You should definitely give this book and author a try.

Okay where does one begin. Tropical Date, I liked it but I didn’t love it. And because of that, I might actually read it again to see if my feelings change. I enjoyed the concept the author created, unfortunately I felt the pace to be a little slow. I’ve read quite a few second chance romance novels recently and though this one wasn’t my favorite, I know there’s people out there who will love it! Especially with the mystery added in. Weston and Marissa were high school sweethearts, till they weren’t. Weston walked away from everything because he couldn’t handle it. If he couldn’t be with Marissa he couldn’t be near her. Leaving his island home with no intentions of returning, till his mom gets a strange offer for her store. Weston comes back to investigate and he’s pulled like a moth to Marissa’s flame. One problem is that she’s seeing someone… Will Weston fight for her? How does the dynamic change once they are back in each other’s universe? Also who wants to buy up island land, and destroy what island life is all about. Keep an open mind as well as track if you want to track the author’s movements from page to page. Enjoy it!

In Plain Sight: A Logan McKenna Mystery #8 by Valerie Davisson
This is another great read by the author. In Plain Sight is the eighth book in the Logan McKenna Mysteries. Once again I’m amazed by what the author does with her words.
Logan is once again making an interesting discovery. Another murder happens and it doesn’t involve her. Logan isn’t sure what to make of it, but she knows that there’s nothing she can do. The quote I chose for Logan is: “As soon as I know anything, I’ll come find you and fill you in, I promise. In the meantime, when the police get here, bring them back to the hospital, okay? Louise is on her way in. If anyone else comes in this way, just send them home. Maybe put a sign out for visitors.”
Bake Happy (Bake Believe Trilogy #3) by Cori Cooper
This is the third and final book in the Bake Believe Trilogy. Bake Happy is a great book and so far the best one in the series. The author knows how to keep readers entertained.
Cat is back and ready for action. One minute she can bake happy feelings into her treats and now she can’t. Nate is the problem. Or is he? Maybe she’s the problem. The quote I chose for Cat is: “No! Robyn, I’m super pumped. I’m going to figure out how to get my baking back, and I’m going to bake the world a better place. Just like I promised Evie. And it’s going to work this time, I can feel it!”
This was a great way to end the series. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. The author really knows how to draw you into the story. The characters came to life more and more with each page. It made me want to do what really makes me happy in life. I highly recommend this book.

This author is either chemically enhanced, neurodivergent, or mentally twisted…in a greatly entertaining way! This really is a work of art with the colorful pages and even more colorful words. Each poem takes you on a journey through the authors eyes. I loved being able to escape reality for a few minutes at a time by reading a few passages. I would suggest this book to anyone that loves poetry, art, and has a twisted sense of humor.

I really enjoyed this book! This is not my first by this author and it will not be my last! I have not read the others in the series before this one but I know I will be going back and reading them! I really enjoy the characters especially the main character Logan and the way she will not take no for an answer and finds a way to dig deeper instead of giving up. I love thriller and crime type books so it was no surprise I fell in love with this series and these characters while reading this book. I cannot wait until I can dive into another book by this author and especially in this series! Overall I’d highly recommend this book.

This was a good book. I had a hard time with Marissa. While I understood the reason she was the way she was, I just couldn’t really connect to her. I liked Weston a lot and thought it was great that he came in to help his mom. I would read more by this author.
