She sneaks into his territory to offer him herself. To be his mate and the opportunity for him to run a sector. Then she disappears! For 100 years, he chases her. And now he’s got her, and he doesn’t intend to lose her once again. Now he must unravel her secret. Overall I enjoyed the book. I was a bit disappointed in the ending but desperately want to read the next one.

Elizabeth is a newly divorced single mom of 2, just trying to make things work. Her ex husband is playing around with child support, her couch is threadbare, her home needs repairs, her son needs cleats for soccer and so on. After attending an at home party with the glamorous Louisa, she begins to daydream about buying into the company and becoming successful.
Louisa convinces Elizabeth to buy in after a visit to her beautiful home (with a security guard and a gate!) and Elizabeth puts the money on her already loaded credit card.
On her next visit, she finds Louisa has been murdered, the detective is the boy who broke her heart, and she can’t even get a refund!
Such a fun, easy read. Suspense, humor, sweet moments, human scenarios and mistakes, and characters that are loveable and that you love to hate.
First, let me say I like that it’s made in the mid-1990s which drew me in alone. Second of all, the action surrounding these partners trying to catch a killer makes your heart race even further but it’s also a connection between the characters as we witness their friendship intensify right before our eyes. The story, the action, the characters: All of this won’t let you put this one down. Get into it!

Dunn – Review by Faith Jackson
Kayda Verdan and Harlow Fletcher have been ride-or-die best friends since they were teenagers. And yet, when Harlow’s life hits the skids after she steals a sentient dragon sword, she doesn’t seek Kayda’s help. Harlow ghosts her friend altogether under the guise of keeping Kayda safe.
Kayda is not amused. When Harlow leaves Luma and Kayda behind, Kayda is downright angry.
As the Collective and their trained werecats try to track Harlow down, they turn their sights on Kayda, propelling her into an adventure she never expected. An adventure that reveals a secret group threatening Luma’s veil magic—and the lives of everyone who resides within the hidden magical city.
~ ~ ~
Harlow
Harlow and Caspian Blackthorn left Luma to let the dust settle back home. While enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation, they strategize their search for the origins of the sentient sword.
The road trip leads them to a black-market auction where fae are selling dangerous items to fae and mundanes living outside the hubs. When Harlow and Caspian get their hands on a treasure chest that was extracted from a sunken pirate ship, they uncover not just a piece of the sword’s past, but the Collective’s.
The treasure they find is more valuable than gold—treasure that powerful fae would kill for. And without magical friends to call for help, Harlow, Caspian, and the sword will have to fend for themselves. So much for a relaxing vacation …
Melissa has had a love of stories for as long as she can remember, but only started penning her own during her freshman year of college. She majored in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology at UC Davis. Yet, while she was neck-deep in organic chemistry and physics, she kept finding herself writing stories in the back of the classroom about fairies and trolls and magic. She finished her degree, but it never captured her heart the way writing did.
Now she owns her own dog walking business (that’s sort of wildlife related, right?) by day … and afternoon and night … and writes whenever she gets a spare moment. She alternates mostly between fantasy and mystery (often with a paranormal twist). All her books have some element of “other” to them … witches, ghosts, UFOs. There’s no better way to escape the real world than getting lost in a fictional one.
She lives in Northern California with her very patient boyfriend and way too many pets.

I’m an exhibitionist. For a reason. And not the one you think.
I’m not complaining. Having people watch me at my club is a new kink I’m enjoying.
Until I look down in the voyeur pit and see the one person who should never be watching me and my pierced (coughs)…
My best friend’s little sister.
I should stop and she shouldn’t be touching herself watching me.
Now I’m hooked on someone I shouldn’t be thinking about.
When she’s attacked and her brother, my boss asks me to guard her in my cabin for a week, it’s easy to suspend reality and play hard with her. See how much of me she can take.
For one week only. Those are my terms.
Only it’s too good to stop. Callie has me doing things I considered unthinkable like opening my heart and falling for her.
Until my past catches up to me and now Callie is in danger because I dared to make her mine.
If I’m going to make this right, I need to come clean about who I really am. But will Callie still want me?

Logan McKenna is enjoying her new life, including marrying her long-time love, Ben, playing her cherished violin, Bella, and taking long, morning runs on the magnificent Oregon coast. Fascinated by the abundance of owls, eagles, hawks, and ospreys she encounters, Logan volunteers at a wildlife rescue center, where she becomes immersed in the world of raptors and those who fight for these fierce, wild creatures.
But when Logan finds a coworker dead on the floor in an animal treatment room, the peaceful forest becomes a scene of tragedy—and maybe murder. There are no signs of a violent struggle, but the office next door has been vandalized and the cause of death remains unclear. Even the official autopsy finds no evidence of homicide, but Logan thinks things just don’t add up.
When the police investigation stalls, Logan takes matters into her own hands. With the help of two local friends, she sets out to uncover the killer. The deeper she digs, the more the killer’s attention turns chillingly toward Logan.
Racing against time, Logan must use all her skills and strength to find the truth, before she becomes prey and is silenced forever.
In Plain Sight is an immersive mystery and a satisfying, multi-layered story about friendship and trusting your instincts, even if—especially if—you’re not sure where they will lead.
A self-admitted book addict, Valerie was the kid with the flashlight under her pillow, reading long after lights out. After a life of travel, she now lives on the Oregon coast with her husband, John, and their new puppy, Finn. When not working on her latest book, she’s probably in the kitchen, making a mess and cooking up a storm for family and friends.
Hester, a farmer’s daughter, yearns for more than feeding lambs by the kitchen fire. She envies the freedom of the river nymphs and listens to Sabrina’s whispers: Be wise, be strong.
When Hester meets Aaron, a man powerful in herbal lore, she decides the healing wisdom of fields and forest is what Sabrina seeks of her. But her mother scorns her ambitions as witchery and decrees her daughter must have a husband to settle her. Hester flees to Aaron, only to discover he too, insists she should marry and be ‘ordinary’ folk.
While a desperate Hester battles for her dream, Aaron must reconcile his past to accept the future. Will the river help, or hinder?
I love a good fated mate/Shifter story. Action, suspense, supernatural beings, and oh soo much spice! I enjoyed this book and our MC. Kieran was easily pictured as the sexy Alpha Male King who was loyal and fierce. He was also strong and dominant, but a man very much in love with his chosen mate. She was truly his queen. and despite the chase she gave him he caught her in the end. Quinn had many secrets and while she feared the lack of approval with her people she was determined to win over the kingdoms trust as well as her mate. This was a great read, and I will be picking up other books from this author again!

Every good thing said about this book is true! The drama, angst, sexual tension, and danger were only a few of the highlights. All of the sexy Bratva bad boys left an impression and I officially have already backtracked to book 1 to experience where it all began. Dom was sexy and together he and Leah were just pure fire. I loved how protective he was of Leah, but I also loved Leah’s fierce and strength. They are both terrified of relationships and where things can lead, but the overall need to be together causes them to both give in. This story was a great read!

Blood Sector is the first book in the phenomenal (new) V-Clan series by Lexi C. Foss. This is an epic paranormal romance- an Omegaverse fantasy set in a post-apocalyptic world, with shifters (wolves), immortals, supernaturals, action, adventure, mystery, bloody violence, suspense, agendas, danger, strong female lead, panty melting Alpha male, spicy and erotic scenes, incredible scene setting/world building, original and thrilling storyline, dark elements, fate, magic, and soooo much more. I have read most of Ms. Foss’s books now and can count on her to blow me away, each and every time! This one is one of her best yet! I can’t recommend this book highly enough….. I know I have said it before, but as I was reading this book I was once again struck by how truly talented Ms. Foss is. She really has seemingly limitless creativity and imagination which makes her such a brilliant storyteller- these skills make her stand out from the crowd and elevate her stories to the next level. So, what are you waiting for? Reading this review will take away valuable reading time!! Grab a copy and get lost in the pages just like I did. You really WON’T regret it. You’ll probably want to thank me later 😘 Another MUST-READ! Can’t wait for the rest of the series! Happy Reading!

My favorite book of the series! I’m also sad the series is over. This series is a perfect one for re-reading a lot! There was so much suspense and adventure in this book, I loved it all. I loved how vividly this author wrote, making me feel like I was right there with Emma. This author has a new fan and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us.
Okay I loved it!!! Blood Sector has everything one could want in a book about shifters. In saying that there’s certain aspects of a book that intrigue me or make me turn away before cracking it open. Supernatural, if it be weres, vampires, faeries, shifters ect, I won’t hesitate to jump right in. Even if the book falls into another category/genre I don’t really care for. My point being this book fits that bill. Normally I would read the synopsis and so nope not for me. But this time knowing the shifter aspect, I just jumped in without reading it and I’m so glad I did! Blood Sector Princess Quinnlynn sought out Alpha/Prince Kieran. She chose him as the shifter she wanted to mate with. Of course she had to convince him, her motives were pure. Never truly accepting that was the case, Kieran still agreed, and a month later she was gone. A century it took to track Quinn down and bring her back to the Blood Sector. Kieran had every intention of fulfilling the agreement they made a century prior. With tons of obstacles in their way. Plus the fact that not only do Quinn and Kieran not trust one another, but the Blood Sector inhabitants are none to thrilled the princess who deserted them is back. Quinn now is faced with proving her worth, trust and loyalty to her people and betrothed. She also needs to finish the initial task at hand, which was why she ran 100 years ago. Which Prince in the trader in their midst?

A good collection of poems. It is an amalgamation of dreams, emotions and the past we have all more or less dealt with. There are few which I could easily relate to, few which I could not, which is understandable as every one’s experiences are different. The poems primarily deal with mental health issues, social isolation and self doubt. The best part is the rhyming was one of the key aspects of this poetry. I really liked that the poems rhymed, it was kind of very soothing to hear my own voice, so I read it aloud. Overall a profound experience.

Wow, this book will have you on the edge of your seat! I loved the plot and the twists! Great main characters, and I found myself loving the secondary characters as well. I thought Kieran and Quinn had great chemistry. She’s a little hard to like at first, but grows on you. This was my first book by this author, and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

It took me a little bit to get the feel for Stitch By Stitch but I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s mysterious but also filled with romance, friendships, and family. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I read it within hours needing to know where the twists and turns led me.
Elizabeth is a single mother of two that is struggling in every way possible. Her ex-husband refuses to be a mature adult and ends up playing games with not only financial support, but the well-being of his child. When Elizabeth hears about a clothing line opportunity, it seems all her prayers have been answered. She takes a huge leap of faith and lands in a massive amount of debt only to find her opportunity is more of a trap. With feelings revived from a past flame and desperation at every corner, how long can Elizabeth hold it all together?
I thoroughly enjoyed the realness of the main character, Elizabeth. It doesn’t paint her in a predictable everything-is-perfect light, so she felt like someone I knew. Even if you aren’t gripped by the beginning of this book, give it a chance. You’ll enjoy the back-and-forth between the characters and every dilemma they face.

Quinn is an unmated Omega princess who is feisty and strong as heck! She was on the run for quite sometime ….until she asks Prince Kieran to protect her and become her intended mate. Kieran wants to be sure if this is the true intent or does Quinn have a secret agenda.
This story is full of secrets and betrayal and hot chemistry between Quinn and Kieran!

Mystery, Romance, Drama, Friendships, Murder – this book has it all! I thought I would be on the fence with this book and ended up absolutely loving it. I could not put it down and found one of my new favorite authors.
Bobbi is a strong-willed woman that came from a rich family, as everyone reminds her constantly. She is trying to make her own way in life after finding her passion for becoming a police officer. Her partner, Rose, is one tough lady who takes every task head on and accepts no excuses. Most of the guys in the precinct have eyes for Bobbi but only one catches her attention, Max. He feels he has finally found The One when they begin their relationship, but can he protect her from the Bathtub Murderer?
It took me a beat to warm up to this story in the beginning, but once it got going, I was hooked for good. I’m ready for the second book as soon as possible to find out what happens next. You won’t regret picking this up!

I have mixed feelings about this story. I was sucked in immediately with the tough female detective not taking crap from her newbie partner and her new partner also female wanting to prove herself and thrive at being a cop. Where it starts to get a little frustrating for me is with the different point of views and all of the relationships. Rose and Marco, Rose and Brian. Rose and Marco again. I don’t really feel like that added anything to the story. Then the situation with Bobbi and her ex while the actual case they are working on is playing out. There is no way after the events that took place she should have been allowed to go undercover to catch a guy that’s going around killing and raping women. I still can’t grasp my head around it. She’s still getting help for her personal situation which they all know about and still went with the plan? Other than those things I did enjoy the story. The villain is smart and clever. It frustrates me that he hasn’t been caught yet but that’s what kept me reading. That and the relationship between Bobbi and Max. I think Max is the most realistic character in the story. He’s not a Prince Charming. But he’s trustworthy, loyal, caring, and loving. He proves over and over again that he’s good for Bobbi. His reactions to different situations are realistic. Overall the book is a page turner. Once the story starts unfolding you won’t want to out the book down.

5 Stars Blood Sector (V-Clan Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss
Blood Sector (V-Clan Book 1) is a Dark Paranormal Romance that I freaking loved reading. I’m a huge fan of this author and I must say this one tops the list for me as my favorite yet. I was pulled in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. Her style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed and relatable characters make for a epic story. This a story about Alpha Prince Kieran and Omega Princess Quinnlyn. She is sets out on a mission to track down who killed her parents . Now that she’s the sole heir to the throne all the Alpha Prince’s want her hand in marriage. She’s not quite ready to share her secrets so she asks Alpha Kieran to marry her and after some serious convincing he accepted her proposal. You guys I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to give to much away. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Lisette has a small problem, she has no powers. That wouldn’t be a problem except for the fact that she lives in Oasis. After her beloved father kills the king he is executed, taking her inherited magic with him. Excellent read! I couldn’t put it down.

Lexi C. Foss came for me with this book. I was completely trapped in the story and could not stop until I read every word! Well written, a perfect spin on the fantasy romance, and the characters, goodness, the characters were AMAZING. Welcome to my Fave author club Lexi! It was a phenomenal read and I cannot edit to devour anything else she throws at us next!!

3.3/5 stars This was my first read by this author and I had higher hopes for this book. The description is written so well, but I feel like the book could’ve been better. There are parts that had me racing to see what was next, but there are also parts that didn’t fit in the book to me. I wish the ending was better with more excitement. The beginning of the book reminded me of a lifetime movie but then it just started going all sorts of directions.

The Cool Thing: A Dark Comedy. Or Not. by Robert Rife. This is my first read by this author but it for sure won’t be my last. It’s a crazy read but so fun. It starts out with a crazy couple who will do anything and I mean anything for cash. When they find an abandoned UFO they begin to sell it part by part. When they get caught they realize they are in more trouble than they bargained for. There is also a crazy Dr who has a lab full of messed up specimen. Unfortunately they don’t all disappear some never die! This crazy read will take you on a sci fi, alien fueled, monster bash. You will be turning pages late in the night trying to figure out what all these crazy people are doing. I’ve not read a book like this ever but I’m ready for the next one. Do yourself a favor and pick up this dark comedy with aliens, monsters and people that could pose as monsters!
