My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elizabeth is a newly divorced single mom of 2, just trying to make things work. Her ex husband is playing around with child support, her couch is threadbare, her home needs repairs, her son needs cleats for soccer and so on. After attending an at home party with the glamorous Louisa, she begins to daydream about buying into the company and becoming successful.

Louisa convinces Elizabeth to buy in after a visit to her beautiful home (with a security guard and a gate!) and Elizabeth puts the money on her already loaded credit card.

On her next visit, she finds Louisa has been murdered, the detective is the boy who broke her heart, and she can’t even get a refund!

Such a fun, easy read. Suspense, humor, sweet moments, human scenarios and mistakes, and characters that are loveable and that you love to hate.
