Kara, Shieldmaiden of Eire, the fourth book in the Forerunners series, kept me just as captivated as the first three. The preface was helpful, even having read the other books recently. Once again the world building, and mix of fact and fiction, was phenomenal. The author did a fantastic job with keeping the characters true to themselves in this book. I highly recommend this series! This is not the sort of book I would normally seek out to read, but I was intrigued and ultimately very impressed! The author does a great job of setting the scene, delving into juicy detail, and building characters and tension. Gabriel is a strong, take charge, possessive male and just what Celia needs in her life after the shadows of her past. Good story, lots of steamy scenes. Overall a very entertaining read!

Book 3 left us with Jeremy & Emma reuniting at the port in New York after a learning opportunity with THE Pinkerton agency.
Book 4 finds us solving problems without the use of our (21st century) technology. If this is your first time reading about Emma’s adventures, you’ll soon be up to speed with her ingenuity and talents. If you’ve been reading the whole series, you won’t be disappointed – your girl Emma is even better in this book! The Pinkertons continue to give us new (to 1880s) detective skills and interview techniques.

I really loved this book! I can’t wait for the second! This book was well written. All of the characters were lovable and wonderful. This book was well thought out. There was a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming.
It did not take me long to fall in love with this book! The only thing I didn’t like about reading this was that I had not had the chance to read the three previous books in the series, something I will be fixing soon!
The chemistry between Anna and Phillip was visible instantaneously, I was hoping for a happy ending between the two of them the entire time. The spicy scenes had me wiggling around so much that my boyfriend asked me if I was in pain. It has been a long time since I have read a book so sensually written during those scenes that it felt as if I was Anna. This will definitely be a new favorite author of mine in the coming months!

This was my first book by April Moran. I was hesitant because romance books are not my cup of tea….unless they are steamy! I was not disappointed. 50 Shades meets ristorical romance!
I loved Celia’s character. Very much the lady she is expected to be with just enough spunk to keep people on their toes. She has a troubled past that she has kept secret, but it makes her feel unworthy.
Gabriel is your typical tall, dark and handsome main character. He’s a bastard, and sticks to the shadows during parties with the nobility. He has his eyes on Lady Celia, even though he feels he’s not suitable for her.
I felt the connection between Celia and Gabriel from their first encounter in this story. It never simmered out. I had a hard time putting this down, and I’m sure I blushed a few times while reading on my lunch break. If you don’t mind some mild S&M, this book is definitely for you!

Worlds start colliding when the FBI, the cartel, his co-workers, his irresponsible half-sister and his estranged dad all end up involved.
This is the first book in a new series and I was hooked (no pun intended) from the beginning. Great writing, an interesting story line that keeps you wanting more and characters that you cheer for- what more can you want? I can’t wait to read the other books in this series and I also plan to read some of the author’s other books.

A wonderful, very steamy romance. Gabriel and Celia were great characters for this story. They funny banter between the two was entertaining. Gabriel’s was very possessive for Celia but always cared and loved her, always made she she had what she needed and was well taken care of. Celia is a strong woman who keeps Gabriel on his toes. She tried to handle her past on her own but she found that she needed a little help and was grateful for it. They learned to trust one another completely. It was cute, funny, and super steamy! Would recommend!

Misfortune of Vision by Christy Nicholas is the fourth book in the Druid’s Brooch series. I would personally highly recommend reading this series in order as the characters and the storylines are interlinked. Reading out of order won’t give the same reading experience in my opinion. As usual the author has created a wonderful story with such detailed characters. She draws you into Orlaghs world with ease and keeps the pages turning. This is a great series and one I would recommend.

Blood Sector is a great paranormal romance with two characters that are both stubborn. Quinn is trying to figure out what happened to her parents years ago when she meets Kieran. She fights her attraction for him for a very long time. Eventually, Quinn realizes that Kieran is her soulmate. I love the lore in this story about the different kinds of werewolves. I like when an author puts information in a novel that is unique to that world. Blood Sector is great for people who love werewolves and romance.

This book is completely outside of my usual comfort zone but it was something that caught my attention and I had to give it a go. It is the perfect eclectic mix of weird and relatable and it felt like there really was something for everyone within its pages. I really enjoyed the fact that I could dip in an out of this book, reading a poem or 2 here and there. It meant, for me, that it didn’t get old and I engaged with each entry I read. This is a new author to me as well but I enjoyed the way the poems were constructed. You could tell that a lot of thought and effort had gone into each of them. Although not my usual type of book I would definitely pick up another book by this author.

This book is about Alice and Reuben. I thought the book was written well. But, for some reason, I just couldn’t get into it. I put the book down, took a break, tried to start again. I’m usually Always Into a good bdsm book. This was Was just so long and drawn out. I really felt Like it was never going to end. I know characters always back a backstory but wow, didn’t need to know all that. About the characters….there were a lot of different characters in the book. Many of these characters all Know eachother, play together, respect eachother. There weren’t many characters I didnt like. I liked the idea of the book, the girl Who has mental issues, the guy who released all his subs after an accident. There’s just a whole lot inbetween that I felt was just To Much.

What a surprisingly steamy yet enjoyable book this turned out to be. I was easily pulled into the story and quickly became engaged in what was happening. I wanted to see how the connection between the characters would develop over time. I thought the connection between was strong. The book was carried on the back of the two of them and I thought they were a perfect fit for each other. The storyline was interesting. I wanted to find out more about what was going to happen, and I wanted to see how things would work out with the characters. This author always delivers on an entertaining book and this is just another one to add to her successful library. An enjoyable book I would highly recommend.

I enjoyed reading this historical romance story. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. This is a well written story about Lady Celia. She has some secrets that could ruin her so she seeks a husband. He has been watching her from the shadows. Will he convince her he is for her? I enjoyed watching their relationship grow throughout the story. They have great chemistry and they heat the pages fast. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. A fast paced story that had me coming back for more. I really enjoyed the steamy and verbal interactions. This is a great story that I highly recommend reading. You don’t want to miss what happens with these two for sure.

I love this series with a passion that burns within my heart! I can never get enough of the adventures this series takes me on, this one was no different, I was swept away with all this book brought to the table, and how the adventure that has been established, just grew into something even more legendary!
As always i loved this author’s writing, and how talented and creative the words that you read on the pages bring the story to life in the most amazing ways! This book specifically had a lot of character development, and I loved it concentrated on Kara. She brought her own spiciness to the table! The story progressed at a good pace, and you got to be intrigued and learn more of the adventure and the characters that it circled around! I loved this book from start to finish! Perfectly written! Loved it with all my heart!
The whole series is amazing, and this book alone brought a lot of awesomeness to the table I will say. i could not put this down, I was really swept away! Highly recommend this must read book and series!

Ermagherd!! What a way to leave me!! This book is a little more intense than its predecessors. I nearly choked on a gasp I wasn’t ready for and I gasped a lot. Fabulous writing! This book may have “Kara” in the title but it isn’t solely focused on her like Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse focused on little Finn. And oh man! I thought everyone was split up before; but now, they’re even more split up as war comes and revenge seeking volvas exact a plan. I really loved the split view between Midgard the Realm Between during the war. Seeing the myths in action was especially epic. My heart is weeping for all of the loss that happened in this book and I will be ANXIOUSLY awaiting the next book to see where all of the Agneson clan ends up next.

Once you get into this book, it’s hard to put down. It has everything a good suspense story needs. Watching Fitz track down clues is so cool!! The twists and turns and take-no-shit attitude is amplified when it comes to finding answers for those who can’t do it for themselves.
Action and drama at every turn. You never know where the story is gonna go until you get there. I’m on the edge of my seat… Good stuff, I tell you!

This book was based on times and places where there were titles based on money. Gabriel was someone who stayed in the shadows and people looked down on him not knowing who he really was. He was connected with the right people from low and high society. All his time in the shadows he has been watching Celia, who has been in search of a husband. The passion that these two share with one another is off the charts. Celia has a history, a past, that no one knows about as it would shame her family. Gabriel can’t seem to stay away from her and is always saving her. His character is large and protective and fierce. Celia is stubborn and I love her character the more for it. These two have a story that’s worth reading and the end is worth it all the more. I will warn you there were some triggering moments for me based on my past but I kept reading due to the love Gabriel showed Celia and the understanding the two have for one another.

This quick read is the 5th book in the Hawke series. It was easily read in one sitting and I was excited to read more about the big guy. Saint and Caroline make a good couple and I enjoyed them.
As with all shorter books it’s kind of hard to get to know the characters in depth. For me what was missing was there was hardly any background information about Saint or Caroline and so it felt like it was missing something. I’m used to getting a lot of background information in this series which helps me connect to the characters even more.
The authors writing style is still just as good as it always is and I enjoyed the part about Caroline and her assignment as well as the new avenue that Saint is going into. I enjoyed that it helps us delve a little further into the Luca situation which I assume is going to be wrapped up in the last book. While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the previous books I still found it very enjoyable and can’t wait to finish out the series.

What a Story! I loved the characters as well as the storyline. It almost a ripped from the headlines piece. I was shocked, surprised and even laughed or smirked while reading. It is a fast paced story that easily kept my interest.
The characters in here are smart and witty. It was wonderful watching the FBI agent grow and change while the story moved along. I enjoyed her rigid by the book attitude but it was nice to see her loosen up mow and then. Angie’s ordeal..just Wow! I was pleased to see her become stronger as the story progressed. This does have a few secret guests that bring witty banter and eye rolling to the forefront. I liked that the author did not put these two to the front but rather treated them like secondary characters. They did not steal the show but helped enhance the other characters.
Overall this is an eye opener about abductions. The title says it all! I highly recommend this author and this book. It kept me on my toes and gave a look inside the minds of the victim, the police and the kidnapper.

The exciting adventures, of the now scattered, Agneson clan continues in this fourth novel of the series, and it’s as enjoyable as the previous ones. This epic series set in the Viking Age, but with added fantasy elements, is yet again brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story. The storyline mainly focuses on Kara, who is fleeing an arranged marriage, and with dreams of becoming a warrior, she escapes across the narrow sea. Kara gains a place within the king of Dublinn’s ranks, but must prove her worth, and soon she realises that, being a warrior is not what she expected. Elsewhere, Cub has joined Rollo’s horde in Britany, having escaped from slavery, and his outlawed brother Sorven, is fighting for his life in the Welsh mountains. Meanwhile, Uncle Karl and his warriors rally to Harald Tanglehair, in the hopes of unifying the wild kingdoms of the North Way. Young Thorfinn has been left safely behind, secure in a tiny fishing village, or so everyone thinks, he has in fact been kidnapped by an 8-armed giant! It’s nice being back with the main characters from the series, as they feel like old friends now. I would recommend reading the books in order, for a better understanding of the characters and the plot. As usual the historical details add to the sense of time and place. This is a real page turner which had me gripped, and I’m looking forward to book five.

When I started reading this book I had no idea that it was the 4th book in a series. Thankfully, each book can be read as a standalone. Although I now want to go back and read and those that I have missed, particularly Robbie and Janet’s story. I certainly didn’t feel like that I was missing any important information that was necessary for the story. I absolutely loved this story and I only have 1 little bad thing to say about the book. Although the characters speak a lot of Scottish words, I have to say that having lived in Glasgow for all 51 years of my life, Glaswegian’s do not say ‘ya Ken’. This is a very Scottish saying but not used in Glasgow. It’s very much used in the East coast. But this is only a very minor point. I loved reading the Scottish words used for the most part. So getting away from 1 wee silly point, I absolutely loved Phillip and Anna’s story. I love a fake romance story, watching the couple try to fight their real feelings for each other. Phillip and Anna are both amazing characters that I fell in love with. Phillip is totally different from the character that he tries to portray himself as. He’s not the stiff upper class person that he comes across as. There’s so much more to him. Anna is just awesome. As Phillip described her several times – she’s a breath of fresh air. She certainly has none of the airs and graces that the girlfriend of an Earl should have. She’s so down to earth and says exactly what she thinks which makes for some very funny entertaining reading. Do not let my 1 little moan put you off reading this story, it’s definitely worth the 5 stars I’ve given it.

Remember to Forget Me (Too Lost to Love #1) by Hazel Storm
Not my first read by the author. Remember to Forget Me is a fantastic read. The author does amazing things with her books and I always look forward to more. This is the first book in the Too Lost to Love Series.
Addison is now living in L.A. and loving life. She watches her high school love do his thing from afar. When they run into each other it starts up a romance that he doesn’t remember. The quote I chose for Addie is: “Everyone I loved was taken away from me. You have the uncanny ability to hit my hot-button questions, Wesley Harper.”
Wesley is a musician and loved what he did. He doesn’t remember the first half of his sophomore year and he doesn’t remember Addie. Then he gets a chance to meet her and finds that he should’ve never forgotten her. The quote I chose for Wes is: “Yeah. The place is pretty big for one person, but it goes with the territory.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Holy crap he did it AGAIN…this is the Third story in the Forerunner Series. You will definitely want to read these in order. I am a huge fan of Robert Jordans wheel of time series, if he had written about Vikings instead of high fantasy, this would have been it. Not to compare two authors, but for the sake of how much I LOVE the Wheel of Time series, this is a blooming favorite series that I hope continues on.
Finn and his Agneson Clan pick right back up in the midst of their journeys; character development, world building, good vs. evil are even more intense than the last book (if that’s possible!!!) There are plenty more the hidden folk, even a dragon makes an appearance. This is such a superb fantastical twist on Viking history. I’m not big into mythology, but there are quite a few references to Norse Gods intertwined with the humans lives.
Between the spiritual connections, human based rivalries and Politics, family ties, human trafficking, detailed accounts of history, and so much more you really will be able to sink your teeth into this. It can be a little difficult for me to keep up with all the unique names and places, I start to gloss over those parts a little bit. But now with the introduction of Kara I find myself immediately bonding with a character for the first time in this series, which is super exciting!!!
The good thing about this novel especially, is despite the maturing story lines, Jay creates an environment that can be fun and at times silly. Seriously can’t wait to read the fourth book in this series. Thank you for another amazing read!

This was a very dark book. Please read trigger warnings before starting. This was a very heavy book. It throws you into the BDSM world and is tastefully done. The romance that blossoms between Rueben and Alice is nothing short of amazing. Mental health matters in all aspects of relationships and life.

This is a great story about 2 individuals who were friends early in life, that is until a tragic accident happened. Wesley goes on to being a pop star, and Addie works at a law firm. Well luck isn’t on Wesley’s side and he ends up having to make a visit to Addie’s office. Well as time goes on, Wesley takes a liking to Addie, and Addie has a fear that Wesley will change his mind once he discovers the truth. To find out what happens next, you will just have to read the book for yourself!
