Love this series. This book did not disappoint as it gave so much action and suspense right off the first few pages. I was hooked. The story of Nico and Mia. Mai is from the New York Mafia and Nico is an underboss of the Chicago syndicate. When Mia finds her way to Nico, will he take her up on her request for protection? Everything lies in Nico’s hands. Surprise after surprise in this story. You will be glued to every page. I just can’t get enough of these characters and how they intermingle.

In the final book of the Mafia Elite series Amy McKinley nailed it again. There is only one brother left, Nico, and he’s too guarded to let love in. He’s perfectly content on his own. ‘Trust no one’ is the mafia mentality, after all. One night he is propositioned, and his life is forever changed. Mia may be the one person to change his stance. Mia and Nico will try to have their worlds meet, but catastrophic collision is equally possible when changing anything with mafia families.
Nico and Mia’s adventure is a page-turner. The characters continue to build from previous books and the story is just as exciting. Rivals is the perfect ending to the Mafia Elite series despite being sad that the series is complete.
Aimme wheels is true to herself and does not follow the masses. The dialogue between Aimee and Qadair is subpar at best. This book does create strong emotions. I wish there was a bit more hear in this book overall a decent read.

I enjoyed reading this mafia romance story. This is the seventh book in this series and the best yet. This is a great author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is a series that you don’t want to miss. I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enhancement of this series and this author. This is a well written story where enemies become lovers and their journey to get there. Their story is one that is hard to put down and full of romance and action. A story that is fast paced and hard to put down. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the first word. A story that had me coming back for more. The characters are relatable and made the story for me. They brought the story to life on each page. This is a great story that made my afternoon steamy. I highly recommend this book and this author.
I enjoyed this suspenseful story. This is not my first story by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story that has twists and turns that are not only edge sitting but also made the story hard to put down. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story realistic and engaging. The characters pull you into the story from the start. They are connectable, strong and supportive of each other. This is a story about four girls where three are murdered and one escaped. The question now is, is she a victim or killer? This is a story you don’t want to miss. There is great plot growth throughout. I really enjoyed reading this story and I highly recommend it.

This Time Around by Jane Suen is a fast paced second chance romance novella. It centers around Katie and Chase who were young lovers, but Katie shattered his heart when she left him, and everyone else she cared about, to pursue what she thought was her dream job. Chase never really forgave her, but tried to push thoughts of her and his pain aside to focus on raising his orphaned nephew, Timmy. When Katie returns to her hometown attend a wedding, the bride insists she bring a plus one and has the perfect person for her- Chase. Now Katie is placed face to face with the man she crushed a decade prior and her guilt is all-consuming. While trying his best to suppress it, Chase’s feelings of resentment cause inner turmoil as they resurface. Can they put everything aside and pick up where they left off or is the emotional damage too extensive?
I really enjoyed this story. It was easy to dive into and left me feeling all the feels. Jane Suen did a wonderful job developing and expressing each character. The story is relatable to anyone who has had to make hard choices in life to find happiness- which I would venture to say would make it relatable to nearly everyone! If you’re in the mood for a quick romance, I would recommend giving this story a try! I’ll be looking for more stories by this author in the future, as I quite enjoyed her writing.

This was a spur of the moment read… and boy was I surprised!!! I feel that the cover doesn’t really do this book justice. The story is superb and the characters are great especially Wheels aka Aimee. She’s a strong independent woman who saves the handsome prince, nit onc, but twice.. who saw that coming?

I have been reading this book series since the first one, and this author does such an amazing job in all the books and the characters that they bring to life. This book installment has quickly become my favorite, as always I am very captivated, and wanting more, this book and series is impossible not to love!
First off I must say-this was a bitter sweet read, knowing this is my final read in the series as it has concluded. I could not have asked for a better send off! This book gave all the things I love, mystery, suspense, romance, those momenta that make you sweat from heat with words on the pages, I really found Nico and Mia were wonderful characters. Different but easy to love as a reader. They brought a lot to the story, and I loved the build up in this book! There was a lot of action and suspense, and the author certainly knows how to end the series with a bang! I also loved, that how it ends it seems to have left an opening for more books on a different family! Cant wait! Loved this book and series with all my heart!
Thank you to this wonderful author for the 7 books in this series that has given me sheer enjoyment over the past months of reading. This is the final book, can be read as a standalone, but to truly feel the characters and the stories, I highly suggest the whole series! Must read and high recommendation!
Something About Aimee has a bit of everything in it and I love it. The many twists and turns in this book will have your emotions all over the place, I couldn’t put it down!
Aimee is a street-smart, no holds barred kind of girl living the free life in New York City. She is a street courier on a skateboard that seems to banish any kind of preconceived notions anyone has of her. Using her street smarts, she saves royal Sheikh Qadir from assassination. Qadir is drawn to her for many reasons and saving his life is just one. Every time Aimee has something to say, Qadir finds himself astounded.
I enjoy how strong-willed Aimee is and also that Qadir is not at all intimidated by her. This book threw me for a loop a few times! I thought I knew where it was going, and it would change direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend picking it up. I’m headed to get the second book in the series now!

This is the third book in the series. Been the final instalments of this series it’s sweet and brought memories of childhood times. Cat is such a fun character and is pleasant and nice to everyone even those she dispises. When thrown together due to events a wishes is made that changes thier lives forever. I adore the connection we read between her and her grandma due to her passing her love of baking to cat.

This is the 7th, and final (sob sob) book in this amazing series that I’ve loved from beginning to end. For me, this is an author who can do no wrong. I’m sure I’ve given 5 stars to every single book of hers that I’ve read, And I have read a lot of them. This is yet another 5 star cracker that I didn’t want to put down. This is an enemies to lovers, mafia romance that has absolutely everything you want in a mafia romance story. Lots of drama, danger and intrigue added to hot romance, it has it all. Nico and Mia are fantastic characters. Nico is underboss of one of the Chicago five families, whereas Mia is the daughter of one of the bosses of the New York families. Let’s just say there is no love lost between both factions. I loved that we are introduced to new characters who will become the main characters in a new series set among the New York mafia families. I can’t wait for more mafia romance from this amazing author.

Second chance romances are one of my favorites. This one was a quick read and I didnt feel like I got to really “know” the characters just kind of surface need to know details. While the story was good and had lots for me to love I just felt I wanted more of just about everything. I did love the small town and how everyone knows everyone and helps each other, I also felt all was rushed quickly. Makes for a good afternoon read.

A Quick of Destiny was a bone chilling tale about what can happen if GM food products had disastrous effects on the majority of the population. The book starts off slow in the beginning but it provides a good platform for the main characters. When the disaster strikes is when the story truly takes off and sends Calum and the people around him into a journey of survival. Imagine a world where anyone that has eaten GM effected food products such as meat, dairy turns into a crazy person with no rational thought. That is the world that the majority of the book takes place in. Calum and his friends are put into varies dangerous and exciting situations that they must escape themselves out of into this new world.
Catherine Greenall was able to bring up the issues in our current food predicament in a truly engaging way. It’s a good start on informing people to change their ways by being more green and the dangers of eating GM food.
My main complaint is when the location and/or the point of view switched without a break on paragraphs. Eventually I was able to figure our where the characters were. The only other thing is there are a lot of characters towards the end that weren’t introduced besides their names.
Overall I found the book engaging and thought provoking.

I’m so sad this is the last book in this series. It was so happy to finally see a story for Nico. Mia Tucci needs Nico help to take down her family and a sex trafficking ring, but what neither of them expected was for actually feelings to get involved. The story is full of the perfect amount of romance *queue eye brow wiggle 😉 *, suspense, action, and the love and protection of family.
This was a fantastic Mafia series, they are quick reads, but ones you can’t put down. I would recommend to anyone!

Holy emotions! This book made me want to be a divorced pregnant woman who leaves everything behind to start a new life… Because even though that is entirely scary, she finds exactly what she has always been picturing!
Reading Kat and TJ’s different points of view throughout this story felt so special. They both are such emotional people who have gone through a lot, and watching their journey unfold was magical. Their story is so unbelievably beautiful and is full of dreams, visions, art, and fate.
This book made my heart happy and I shed quite a few tears!

I feel like the romance wasn’t the focal point of this book. Or rather, falling in love wasn’t the point. It made the beginning seem rushed, like the author just wanted to get it over with until boom they’re in love, which was a little aggravating. Once I got over the fact that it took them 2 seconds to fall in love, I could enjoy the book a lot better. It was action-packed, there was a little heartbreak, a lot if plot twists, it was enjoyable. Would recommend to people who don’t like slowburn romance.

In the final book of the series, Nico finally gets his chance at love. Mia is the daughter of a New York crime boss, who only wants to use her as a pawn in his plans to strengthen his position. Escaping her sadistic step-brother after he catches her attempting to flee leads Mia to track down help from the Chicago’s Five Families for protection and to take down her father’s sex trafficking business. Following along with previous books in the series, the Five Families (and Nico) take Mia into their fold and a quick romance ensues between the couple, who then faces death, destruction, mafia politics, and plenty of drama/action along the way. I’ve truly enjoyed this series and have loved getting to know the characters. The author explains there will be a spin-off series involving the New York families, and I’m excited to see how it all ties together.
When Katie finds an old friend’s wedding invitation buried amidst her junk mail she feels compelled to attend. Although it is a hasty, last-minute decision she decides to take some much-needed time off work from her high demand, high pressure job and return to her hometown. Katie gives no thought to the fact that she has not RSVP’d that she will be attending nor that she has no date for her friend’s wedding. When she arrives in her hometown, she calls the bride to let her know that she will be attending her wedding and is promptly told that she must be paired up with someone else. Expecting this person to be a stranger Katie reluctantly agrees. What Katie never anticipated was to be paired up with her old high school boyfriend, Chase, who she has not seen since she dumped him ten years ago.
Chase has never gotten over the hurt he felt after Katie’s rejection. For ten years he has buried his feelings for her and kept himself busy with work and raising his orphaned nephew. Chase still harbors resentment towards Katie because of how she so coldly broke up with him and therefore he has hardened his heart towards her. When his cousin tells him that Katie will be his plus one at her wedding Chase is less than pleased but reluctantly agrees because he loves his cousin.
What neither Katie nor Chase expected is to feel the same spark they did while dating all those years ago. The attraction they feel towards one another is instant, yet how can they act on it when so much time has gone by? Chase is still angry over Katie’s rejection and her leaving town so abruptly after their graduation and he refuses to be hurt by her again. What Chase does not know is how terrible Katie feels for breaking it off with him with no explanation. She thought she was making the best decision at the time by pursuing a career in the big city. Life has also changed considerably for both Katie and Chase over the years. Katie must return to her career in the big city and there is no way that Chase will uproot his nephew and leave everything behind. Will their reunion be destined to fail again with so many obstacles in their way?
I loved the characters of Katie and Chase because they were real and relatable. I enjoyed watching the characters evolve and seeing how each character grew from being awkward teenagers into mature, hard-working adults. I could not put this book down because I had to see what would happen between Katie and Chase and if their love for one another would be enough to overcome what life had thrown at them. This book was a great read, and the author did an amazing job of bringing the reader into the world of Chase and Katie, making you feel as though you know them. I highly recommend! This book is full of action, suspense and romance. Aimee and Quadir come from different worlds and meet under a high tense situation. These two probably would have never met if Aimee wouldn’t have stepped in when she did. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t stop reading even after it was time to go to sleep. I was rooting for these two throughout the entire story. Quadir is a wealthy man with a lot of responsibility, and Aimee is a street smart, independent, smart young lady. Even though these two couldn’t be more different I couldn’t help but want them to have everything they dreamed of. This was a very entertaining story. I highly recommend this book.

This is another amazing book in one of my favorite book series ever. I think the author was able to end the series in the right way, although I personally will miss these books. And their recipes. In fact, I would not recommend reading this without eating beforehand. Otherwise, you will find yourself hunting in your cabinets for ingredients to make these wonderful goods. Or perhaps that was just me. I love how the chapter title is the recipe is that you get at the end of the chapter. Such a cute and clever way to include that. I love how the author once again was able to make me laugh at all the things these teens did. Not to mention tug at my heartstrings with the morals being taught. There were a couple of times I had tears welling in my eyes at the thought of having to decide if the ability of magic was a gift or a curse. Especially when it involves your family and isn’t something that only one individual has. An amazing end to what has become a book I look forward to reading. I hope that perhaps she will revisit the series later.

Amy McKinley has done it again! I know I say this with every book in this series, but this is the best one yet! I cannot believe this is the last one! As always, you can read this as a standalone; however, I would recommend reading the entire series, in order, as you will get the best understanding of the plot line and all of the characters. You will also understand all of the little nuances and seemingly “minor” details better if you read the prior books. The heat between Mia and Nico is electric *wink, wink* from the first time they meet and only continues throughout their story. With Mia on the run from her horrible family, the only person who can protect her is Nico and the only way he can truly protect her is to marry her. So Mia risks it all and seeks him out, offering to take down her family if he’ll change her last name. Can they trust each other enough to do this? Or will both of their pasts interfere and ruin everything? McKinley definitely saved the best for last with Mia and Nico’s story. I absolutely love how they are both guarded but they bring that guard down for each other. I think their story is my favorite. I love the way McKinley writes her characters, especially her female characters. They are completely capable of standing up for themselves and getting themselves out of precarious situations. They also stand with the guys during the tough times and are forces to be reckoned with. They are badasses. This has been an amazing series! It’s a definite must-read!
This book was a good quick read. The chemistry between Nico and Mia is off the charts. Mia is a Mafia princess but she’s not a weak damsel. Nico is tall, dark, handsome and arrogant. They work together despite being from rival family’s. Will definitely be reading the rest of the books from this world.

~Zombies…Epidemics…For All Fans of Thrill and Destiny~
There are so many reasons I loved this book. I think the main one is because of my own natural love of the environmental sciences. Reading about them in a fictional setting, from an author who obviously did their homework makes this an easy favorite. From world building, scene setting, and character development you are in for a ride. Calum is a character you can fall right in line with as the plot develops.
He is persistent in the face of obviously challenging situations, making him in my opinion an excellent leader. He isn’t a cookie cutter character, rather his choices really put you into the world in a way that makes you think, “What would I do here?” The plot develops in a way that is shocking, and unique. Seriously loved this over-all, it’s hard to find a story with zombies that you can really sink your teeth into. If you have ever wanted to read the post-apocalyptic genre, focused more on the sciences and challenges your way of thinking, you won’t be disappointed.

This is an amazing book that has the steam, action, and suspense. What happens to the characters will take you on twists and turns that you didn’t see coming. The secrets and lies that are revealed in this book will have you thinking about what happens next. The immense need to know more will have you constantly turning the pages and not putting the book down. I finished this book in a day because I had to know what happens next. If you have read the previous books in the series, you won’t be disappointed with this one. I feel like each book gets better and better. If this is the first one that you have read. You must go back and read the rest of the series. The growth with the characters is amazing and I love how the author gives us glimpses of the previous characters. Final book in trilogy What a brilliant conclusion to a wonderful trilogy. I have enjoyed every book in this series. With quirky family, teenage angst, mischievous magic and lots of delicious baked goods – what more is needed? The story is well written and the characters amazing. A truly bittersweet moment has been had. I have had the pleasure of reading this series from the beginning to what is now the end. The story of the Five Families, aka The Chicago Mafia, has now been told in such a manner that you feel like you are leaving close friends. The main characters in ‘Rivals’ are Nico La Rosa and Mia Tucci. Unfortunately, I cannot share a whole lot with you because it just gives away too much. The author grabs you right from the start. Each book basically picks up where the last one left off. In this book, we also get to visit with everyone except Max and Luc (and their wives) as they were in Italy. Everyone else played a pivotal role in helping Nico and Mia take down the New York Tucci and Amata family. There are moments that will live in your mind such as Mia meeting the other wives and she’s told that they will love her, but they will have no qualms at killing her either. My favorite are the quiet moments between her and Nico. They are tender and romantic in a chaotic environment. The plot just stays right on task with a twist thrown in here and there, and it just comes right back. This author is extraordinarily talented and her writing is also. Her female characters are strong and courageous. This series is one that I recommend to all my friends that love romantic suspense and Mafia. Hot, steamy and fantastic! It would get more than 5 stars if I could give them.
This the 7th book in the Mafia Elite series and omg I absolutely love this series. The stories are full of danger, twists and turns, loyalty and a really good steamy romance. These stories for me really captivate me and this book was just the same.
In this story we follow Mia and Nico. Both of them are part of different Mafia families.
Nico is considered quiet but is a very smart calculating underboss. He’s looking for a way to bring down the other Mafia boss. His research keeps bringing up one name. That of the bosses daughter Mia. He know she could be the key to finding a way to destroy the other boss but how will he get her to talk?
