Jake has money, that’s true. But he wants to be loved for him, not his money. Lauren has a thing about people with money, she is not rich but she is comfortable. When their friend suggests a blind date. Little did Lauren and Jake know they were being set up. Well that’s all you get from me on this story. The writer is new to me. But I can tell you her story is well written and keeps you reading. Her concept for the blind date app is a great angle, and leaves her story open to add on. I fell in love with her main characters, and look forward to the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this story. The author does an amazing job of bringing Aztec mythology to life and the attention to detail really brought the whole story to life. The author’s descriptions about the Aztecs way of life and beliefs was very interesting to read. The beautiful drawings that were also included in this story just added to the creative feel and experience.
Azreya is a young girl who is considered cursed by one of the God’s. To help her she is sent at the age of 3 to stay with a sharman who is going to teach her how to calm the beast inside her. Things go well until a visitor arrives that causes Azreya to flee her safe haven. However when she returns to her family they don’t want to take her in for fear of what this “cursed” person could do. While Azreya is having visions of the future she sees that her people are in great danger from an enemy. Can she make her people listen to her and protect themselves or will they ignore her warnings and have to face the consequences.
This is a story of pain and betrayal when you realise the person you thought you could trust turns out to be someone you can’t trust at all. It’s also a story of courage as Azreya fights to stand by her visions and what she has seen to protect her people and save them from disaster.

5 out of 5 stars What a wonderfully original retelling of Cinderella. I found the story to be relevant to today’s world. Ashley is a strong and brave young woman. She has a battle ahead and she takes no guff. I found the interactions with the characters, such as the M & M’s, Veronica, Laura, and Harry James were so relatable. The plot twist of solving the poisoning and attempted murders was a great twist. The narration was good. I did feel it could have used a bit more variation of voices. A fun audio read for any age.

I really enjoyed this fast paced story. It has a lot of action in that keeps the reader gripped and entertained from the beginning.
I loved the main characters of Jase and Ashali. I love how strong willed and determined Ashali is. She is definately no damsel in distress and she is able to take care of herself. It was nice to read of a strong female even when the male character is the superhero.
Ashali is on spring break in a small town. She wasn’t expecting anything interesting to happen. But one night at a bar she meet a stunning heartthrob called Jase. She normally wouldn’t go with strangers but she decided to take a chance.
Once they arrived at Jase’s place things were going well, that is until Ashali was kidnapped.
Jase is a superhero known as the Blue Horseman. He worked so hard to keep his identity a secret and to have a normal life but when Ashali is kidnapped he realises that his identity has been uncovered and his life is in danger. His first priority though is to save Ashali.
Once he rescues her, he realises that Ashali can take care of herself and they now work together to uncover Ives and what they want. Until they are destroyed Jase won’t be safe. What follows is an adventure that takes them into some very dangerous situations to uncover this group and their secrets. But with evil people trying to get them this is one mission that make cost them more than their identities. Can they survive this and bring Ives down or will this group get the better of them?

4 stars! This is a great anthology of stories and with he proceeds going to a good cause, I appreciate all of the authors that have participated and all the work they put into giving readers something amazing.
The first Story I read is Clara’s Story by C.A. King. This story really broke my heart. I can imagine it is any parents worst nightmare to find out their child has been in a car accident. Where I can see how Clara’s husband was upset with them not spending time together anymore, I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same thing. Wouldn’t any parent do whatever they could, and sacrifice whatever they had to be with, and try to save their child? The ending was very sweet and was very happy to see how Clara’s life turned out
The second story I read is Headliner by A.L. Morrow. This is a MM romance short story. Skye and Jet both have been through some things in life, and their meeting may be what the other is looking for. Skye has lost someone dear to him and Jet has been tossed around by his love interest, but neither can fight the spark that is developing between them. They are both so sweet and deserve each other, and all the happiness.

When Nukpana decides to only share part of Azreya’s vision concerning the Spanish and the Aztecs, she realizes that she must take matters into her own hands and runs away. But at the young age of 13, how will she convince others to take her seriously? Who can she trust? Will she be able to bring the Aztecs together in order to stand against the Spanish in time?
First of all, I really like this author! The characters are well written, and the story was like a movie playing in my head. I enjoyed learning about the Aztec culture and gods while reading about a girl that just wants to be loved. She’s thrown into a life she didn’t choose and is doing her best to keep the balance between an angry beast inside of her and the real-world struggles that surround her. She does find that balance and it was fascinating to read how she does.

Destiny’s Daughter, by Lynda Filler is an engaging read. Lynda tells her story of finding love after a lifetime filled with ups and downs. Her story of finding a place to write and took her across the sea. While she let destiny and her love led her to Istanbul, she found herself facing new challenges. Personally, I did not connect to the author the way other readers have, but I still enjoyed reading this book. I would also recommend this to others.

Poetry is a passion of mine so the synopsis of this title piqued my interest. The author did an incredible job with this beautiful ensemble. The rhythm and descriptive words help you see within their mind, body and soul as they create a depiction of life utilizing their eloquent words and emotions.
Don’t be fooled by some of the entries that are shorter than others, as they too will pack a punch. Some of the poems will make you smile, laugh, feel, etc. To evoke any and all of these actions is a testament to this author’s gift of word.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to any future publications.

This book was so incredible! It brought out so many emotions and that’s what I love in a book. If you can make me upset, if you can bring tears to my eyes, if you can make me laugh out loud, if you can make my heart melt…then it’s a fantastic read in my opinion. I want to feel it all and that’s what True Colors did for me. Lance, Imani and Melody are truly a great trio. They’ve always been the best of friends. And this book did an amazing job with showing how friendships should really be like. Be there for one another no matter what and always be truthful! No matter how bad or embarrassing the truth is, they always spoke about it to one another. And at the end of the day, they always forgave one another. I can’t wait to read the other books!

To be honest, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. There are some folks out there that throw words on a page in a haphazard sort of way, and call it poetry. Some quite enjoy the spontaneity of this work, and others require a little more effort put in to the way that emotions, feelings, and knowledge is brought forward in a poetic sort of way. I am one of the latter, and after getting into these pages, I really enjoyed it.
This author put down his thoughts, regardless of his person being tormented, deliriously happy, confused or unsure, and sculpted them into something delectable. I will be going back and reading many of these at a later date when I am more in tune with my own person so I can enjoy the accuracy of the poems within, but for now, many of them brought me feelings of peace and confirmation that I am not alone. I do recommend giving this unique read a go, you may find it to be inspiring, well done!

The Colors of Love (The Colors Trilogy Book 2) by K.R. Raye . This is a great story in the Colors Trilogy. Its the continuing story of Lance who has been known in the past for his way with the ladies but now he knows for the sake of his girls he has to settle down. Imani is usually the level headed one of the bunch but when she gets in a long distance relationship with a guy she loses all her good sense. Melody is still reeling from the last relationship she was in and has decided she doesn’t want to go thru that again. All the while they are trying to juggle school along with all these relationship issues. Lance is also trying to continue to hope to make the NFL draft and be a positive role model for his girls. Will they all be able to make it? Read this fun young adult story that will have you turning pages as fast as you can.

zreya, Aztec Priestess: An Illustrated Mythology Legend by Tricia Copeland, Illustrated by Matt Maes. This is a great young adult story about mythology and paranormal fantasy. Its the story of Azreya a Aztec Princess who has been put into the custody of a shaman, Nukpana who is supposed to help her learn how to use her powers and to tame the beast inside of her. The only problem is Nukpana is not her friend and can not be trusted. It is thought that Azreya is cursed and that is the reason she has the beast inside her. If that demon inside her somehow takes over she will die. So learning how to contain it is crucial. Azreya’s one goal is to help her people so learning to control herself is imperative. I love this author and her writing is so descriptive that you feel as if you are there. Such a good young adult paranormal read!

This book was just as good as the first! I was so excited to get sucked back in and see what would happen with the trio this time. I was not disappointed! This series is so good and the twists and emotional roller coasters just keeps me hooked. I’ll be reading the next one as soon as possible. So good!

A Love Restrained is a Romance/ Suspense that will pull you in from the beginning and you will find it hard to put down until you’ve finished. There’s plenty of twists and turns that had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is a very well written fast paced story about second chances, family, and forgiveness. This is Jayson and Kylee story. She is a cop and he is the criminal who she hadn’t seen in years until she arrested him . Secret is they both had huge crushes on the other in school. Even as adults the chemistry and attraction is there. She really struggles with the whole letting him in even though she wants to. Sometimes we have to do things to protect the ones we love moat and that includes keeping secrets. Jayson had plans to tell Kylee everything but then she got hurt. These two made my heart happy and sad at the same time. I don’t want to say to m7ch and give away anything. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. This is an adorable double dinosaur adventure! Having 2-books-in-1 is a wonderful idea. The graphics used for illustration give the pictures texture and make for a more interesting story. I read both stories several times to my grandkids and they were captivated by the dinosaurs adventure. A recommended read for your little ones!

This was a great 5 star read. We do get a slow start but boy it kicks in and we get a great steamy read. Celia is looking for a husband but she’s not sure if anyone will accept her and the secret she carries. She meets Gabriel and they have an instant attraction. Once they share a kiss, Gabriel knows he has to have Celia. Will they be able to get their HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. The author pulls you in with her writing. We get some very steamy scenes. You can feel their attraction come off the pages, I really loved this couple. They both had issues that they were dealing with and I liked how Gabriel helped Celia get past her fears. If you’re looking for a great steamy historical romance this is the series for you and lI ook forward to the next book in the series 1-click and get started today..

The penultimate novel in this amazing series takes us to Cam and Freyja, now happily together, with their growing family and putting their focus on new efforts in the ever-changing world. They have been slowly learning of the true origins of the new colonies and antipodes and the intentions of repopulating the Earth after the devastation of the water infestation. As these new discoveries unravel, so are other secretive possibilities which set off Cam and Freyja on another journey to Clava, the main hub of technological and medical expertise. As the novel series continues, I brought to flashbacks of some of my other favorites, Lost (TV Series), Hunger Games and Divergent series (books and movies) that gives its reader the thrill of wanting to know what will happen next. One of my favorite parts of this series so far is watching these characters go from their young adult selves to active adults within their working community and striving for the best outcome for the newly expanded families. As the readers, we see how they interpret and accept their new world and its vastly secretive objectives as they take their own stance in fighting for what’s right. What would you do to understand the circumstances they face?

Caim is the fourth installment of the Antipodes series, and I am completely obsessed with all of the characters still. T.S. Simons makes you really feel every single moment throughout the story.
Freyja and Cam are in a blissful bubble with their friends and family. They have all gone through incredibly tough times in the previous books but now they are living peaceful lives. When individuals from their past show up, things begin getting a little tougher until they all realize they have even more scary times ahead. Will they make it back to their joyful lives or will this journey end in nothing but tragedy?
I highly recommend picking this series up and absorbing each installment. This was an emotional read, but you definitely won’t be disappointed!

This is a must read. As soon as I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down. I know it’s going to be a good book when it has Jake and Cody in it but this one exceeded my expectations. This story has twists and turns, action, danger, suspense, and great characters. The author took me through an emotional journey with this book and I found myself at the end of my seat several times while reading. This was just a thrilling read. I can’t wait to read another book by this exceptional author because I know it will be a great read like every book I have read by him. I highly recommend this book.

Gabriel Rose is the son of a nobleman but was not acknowledged as such. Even so he is able to fit in and is tolerated in all the noble circles and friends with many who were actually born with a title. He also is friends with people on the other side of that coin who make their living in other ways that may or may not be legal. Mr. Rose has had his eye on Lady Celia Buchanan for some time. He feels like his is unworthy of her affections due to the circumstances surrounding who his father may or may not be and doesn’t see the lady possibly being with someone like him. Lady Celia comes from a very different background where she has never had to question one’s birth status, had everything she could ever want or need, and been pampered her whole life. Her mother is trying to find her a suitable husband no matter how much she protests. She has noticed Gabriel watching her from the shadows but seems to have a hard time at first with the feelings he stirs within her. She has secrets that she hopes to remain hidden until she is wed or she may be ruined. Gabriel had already saved her from a couple precarious situations that could have seen her wed to a man she did not want to marry. Will Gabriel be able to win the heart and hand of Lady Buchanana or will he be rebuffed?

This was a cute read! This is a (sometimes morbid) re-telling of the classic story Cinderella. It’s set in a modern time, with a teenage pop star instead of a prince. This is definitely a YA book, you can tell mot only in the content but also in writing style. I enjoyed reading this book as it was different than other reimagined stories I’ve read in the past. This is the first time I’ve read this author before and I’m excited to read more stories from her in the future.

This is another great read by the author. Caim is a great read and now I’m understanding more and more of the story. This is the fourth book in the Antipodes Series.
Cam is back and now he’s got kids to worry about. He and his wife are awake early one morning due to guests. When they discover who it is, things get tricky. Can they figure it out? The quote I chose for Cam is: “It was a massive omission. You stitched us both that day and said nothing. Not to mention all those evenings we spent together. We trusted you. Thought you were our friend.”
Freyja is Cam’s wife and mother of his kids. When they go to meet the guests she finds that their daughters look just like her and her daughters. That can’t be right, can it? The quote I chose for Freyja is: “God had nothing to do with it.”
