Cam has finally settled down into his new life on Lewis. After losing his first wife Freyja on his original Island of August and being blamed for her disappearance, Cam randomly wandered around August in a sort of stupor looking for her. Going back to their private hot springs within a cave, Cam is unexpectedly pulled down into an antipode and transferred to another domed island called Lewis. On Lewis, he is still struggling over losing Freyja and decides to go looking for her, only to be told that she was with a man from Lewis and was pregnant. Upon his second arrival to Lewis, Cam married and started a family with Laetitia, the sweet schoolteacher that he had been living with. Unlike on August, Cam is surrounded by friends and people who care for him on Lewis. Then tragedy strikes and Laetitia, pregnant with their second child, goes missing. Cam, teamed up with now found Freyja and a few other Lewis residents, embark on a journey to find her and the other missing women. Cam once again finds himself in turmoil upon losing yet another wife.
The Liminal Space is just as loveable as Antipodes. Full of emotions that leaves the reader reeling and wanting more, I would not change a single part of it. Characters are still relatable and new enemies are found. Some mysteries are solved while new ones arise. The Liminal Space will leave its readers on the edges of their seats the entire time. If you loved The Liminal Space, look for the third book in the series Ouroboros.
