The Prisoner of Paradise (Painted Souls Book 1) by Rob Samborn – Review by Rayne East

The Prisoner of Paradise (Painted Souls, #1)The Prisoner of Paradise by Rob Samborn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Intriguing
This dual timeline thriller had me engaged from the start. It is a multi-layered story, centred on soul mates and discovering events from the past. I loved the descriptiveness, the imagery of Venice and the pacing of the adventure. The relationship between Nick and Julia was not overly done and felt a bit forced at times but that could be due to the contrast to the soul mate connection. This is book 1 and it will be interesting to see where book 2 goes.
