I Loved You Yesterday (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 1) by Julie Navickas – Review by MaRissa Dobson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I Loved You Yesterday is the first in a trilogy series that is more relatable than most books I have read recently. Giving the perspective of more than just one character, making sure you get the emotions from multiple points of view.

This book shows the characters grow, including flashbacks to give the back story with great description, very mild intimate moments and of course a love triangle, showing the difficulty that love isn’t always black and white. But what is the “right choice”?

Everyone remembers their first love, especially when you’re lucky enough to have grown up together and know everything that there is to know about one another, grow with each other and grow to fall in love. That’s exactly what Mavis and Josh had. It was perfect, and they had the perfect plan for their future together. That is until something happens, and mavis disappears. For 10 years they don’t speak, Josh doesn’t know, why she left, or where she went, but after his divorce to the mean girl from high school, Mavis is all he can think about and he is determined to find her. But is it going to go right back to the fairy tale they left off at? Or can the secrets Mavis and his brother, Austin, have ruin it?
