This is the first book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, and it grabbed my attention from the beginning. A cute but dramatic who-will-she-choose story that will have you second-guessing yourself with every new piece of information.
Mavis and Joshua were high school sweethearts that felt their love was once in a lifetime. But when Mavis ended up pregnant, she kept it a secret from Josh and ran away to make sure he didn’t throw away his promising future for her. She confided in Josh’s twin brother, Austin, but things did not stay platonic as they crossed a boundary that had dire consequences. After many years of the twins being in her past, how will she overcome this love triangle without breaking hearts?
I enjoyed the flow of the story and had a hard time predicting what would happen next! I recommend picking this up for anyone who loves romances and love triangles.
This is an adorable book. It is a beautifully written story. A lesson and learning hidden in an entertaining way for children. I read it with my year old. He also loved the story. This is definitely a story I will be reading again and again.

Curse of the Elf Lord is the second book in the Kingdom of the Elf Lords series. I highly recommend reading these books in order, as there is a lot you will miss otherwise. The world building is fantastic. The plot goes along at a great pace. The characters are very well written. I look forward to reading more by this author. Reviewed by @mimimadge

This was a quick, but very steamy, sci-fi adventure! I thought the author did a great job of balancing the relationship between Ravenna and Dravos while adding a sense of realism to the sci-fi piece. It was full of adventure and excitement, the story definitely drew me in from the start and I couldn’t put the book down. The story had plenty of twists, right up to the end, and definitely kept me guessing what would happen next. The author did a fabulous job of creating a whole new universe that was well thought out and planned. It looks like this is book 1 to a new series and I am excited to see how it turns out and where the characters go from here.

Wow what a great read, I was totally surprised as this is a new author to me and I was not sure what to expect….I love a good Sci Fi Romance and I loved Ravenna and Dravos!!
Ravenna is just a strong, kick butt Captain who is all about finding her love after going missing on a mission aboard the Perseus. She does not hold back and bold, which I love about her. When Ravenna is on a rescue mission she also find herself in the confines of Dravos Trax. Dravos is “dangerous”…..or is he? Many people believe that Dravos and his fellow Hirudians are dangerous. Dravos is a prisoner, poked, prodded and experimented on…and was included to be on the mission with Ravenna to help find the Perseus…but what happens when Ravenna, Dravos and the team find the Perseus… Fated mates, betrayal, survival, attraction….I loved Ravenna and Dravos and this story! I am so looking forward to see what is next!

This story is so sweet, so heart breaking, and so full of love. The main characters Joshua and Mavis, young sweethearts faced with life altering situations, making life changing decisions. Except those decisions are only made by Mavis. After being separated for years, these two come back together and secrets are shared. Secrets that could destroy Joshua and everything he ever loved, including Mavis.
I love this story. I love the way it is written. The author sure didn’t hold anything back. I love that second chance romances exists.
“We don’t need to be the same people we were. But we can give the people we’ve become a second chance.”
When Jemma tries to bring down the Freemasons on the misguided belief that they had something to do with the death of her father, she crosses paths with the leader of the local lodge, Dominic. When her life is put in danger, Dominic tries to protect her, even when Jemma seems determined to believe the worst about him. The couple tries to fight their growing attraction while also trying to figure out what the other knows about the Freemason lodge and their past and present activities where missing and exploited children in the area are concerned. Jemma believes that the Freemason lodge is behind the missing children, while the truth is the exact opposite. Dominic and his friends from the lodge are doing everything they can to figure out who is responsible not only for the missing children, but also for his friends missing sister.

This is really a very interesting book. The second in the series,it will take you back into the center world on another unknown adventure with our travelers. Travel to a place of mystery, a little adventure, a bit of solitude and a lot of sand. Maybe you’ll run into AI? I found the story to be engaging in spots yet a little dry in others. I enjoyed reading about the travels into the unknown world. At other times, I sort of felt like it was some type of video game. It also felt like maybe, a warning. Could we face this on our Earth? Fiction or could there also be a little message in the story. It left me thinking about what i read, which is good. I can’t wait for the next adventure.

This is the first book I have read by Heidi Vanlandingham, and I was not disappointed. The way the author mixes Norse Mythology, with American History captures the reader from the first page. Bernard is a World War two veteran that lost everything in the beginning of the war that he loved, his wife and young children. Alva is a Huldra that was cast out along with her sisters when she was young.
Bernard thinks of only one thing when Freyja brings him back to life, why was he brought back and how can he get his family back. When he questions Freyja on why he has been brought back she tells him that his dear friends initially asked but that she had the final choice. He had not completed his true purpose, she questions him about his family, parents, siblings. Something about him seemed familiar but she couldn’t place it but vowed she always figures it out eventually. Alva was taken in by her father after her mother the Queen of the Huldra kicked her and her younger sisters out when she found new love. Now an adult Alva goes to visit her mother but is captured by the fiercest of her cousins, Maya. With the wrong actions but a worthy purpose Alva is held captive by her cousin for nine days before she is rescued by Freyja and her partner. For years the Huldra have been withering away due to lack of their primary source of energy, the life-force from males. Bernard can’t explain it but when he looks at his spy partner Alva, she helps him feel lighter, happier touching her cheek for a moment without thinking before disappearing after her rescue. Alva has never been like the Huldra, she refuses to kill her host taking only enough to survive no more. Lifetimes have passed and thanks to Maya questions are finally being asked, why must they fall in love with the male, losing the bark from their backs and losing their tails only to kill the male taking his life force and gaining the bark and tail back. Gytha the oldest living Huldra remembers a moment when she was young, her mother and grandmother speaking about a “curse”, but time has forgotten the rest. Tells Alva for answers she must travel to visit the Huldra Historian for answers on all she wishes to know.
Bernard set on bringing his family back to life puts odds between him and Heimdall. Alva is the voice of reason within the Huldra castle searching for peace amongst her family. Two actions set a new history in motion, with an outcome no one would have predicted, and why does Bernard see Alva’s face the moment he starts the new path. This book had me craving more, the mixture seemliest meddling together into something amazing. Heidi builds an amazing world and the characters equally amazing. I cannot wait to read the next book Curse of the Elf Lord.

To protect Josh, Mavis runs away and breaks his heart. With a letter is how she breaks Josh’s heart then she miscarries, and runs to Austin Josh’s twin brother. Years later Josh gets divorced and decides he wants Mavis back. Then he finds out his twin brother knows where Mavis is and known for years. The message of this book is no matter how much time has passed or what has been done true love doesn’t judge and forgives.
This was my first book by Landra Graf so I really didn’t know to expect. It was short but full of adventure. The characters are well developed and the world was very thought out. The bond between Ravenna and Dravos made me hope for the best for them. I will definitely be continuing to read this series!

This book really brought on the wow factor as well as the blow your mind factors as well! I was intrigued all the way through! The story had a mix of everything, I cant say it was one specific genre. And those specific words made this book all more appealing. I simply must say I was amazed and fascinated as I read!
The writing was spot on, and the author knew how to draw the reader in and hold them there to the final word on the final page. The horror side of this story really appealed to me, but then we got into some sci-fi elements, and my mind was blown. Personally the author notes of thoughts after each conclusion of a chapter, was a welcoming touch. I enjoyed reading the author’s thoughts as to why it was written how it was. The characters were great, realistic, and certainly had strong character development, but Dex really was well written. Family man, supports his family, but when danger strikes, he steps up and does whatever he must. The book was a tornado of events and emotions! I could not put this one down Freaking loved it!
I cannot say good enough things about this book or the talented author. You must experience my recommendation for yourself. Highly recommend. A must read for sure-to both the author and book!

I enjoyed reading this fantasy story. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details that make her stories realistic. This book is no different. This is a well written story about finding a mate but the problem is the mate is in love with someone else. Now facing the problem of trying to convince the mate that you are their destiny. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. There is a little bit of everything in this book and you don’t want to miss it. The characters are connectable and made the story for me. They have great growth as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. An engaging story that I highly recommend. Find out if the two mates get their happy ending.

Cam and Freya are back in and their children are quickly growing up and albeit they aren’t together, they are still trying to raise them right, despite the arguments and cold feelings between them, but just as Freya feels like she can finally move on, she is told to pack a bag quickly as she has to leave Lewis and her home she is currently sharing with Illyria. She is shocked and wants an explanation as to why, but she is told that she will be told soon, but for now they have to leave immediately, but when she sees that Cam and some of the children, as well as others from the island community are leaving too, she is even more confused and angry that she will be on a ship with Cam.
As soon as they leave Lewis in an emotional flurry, Freya is told that they will be making a stop on Moussa, a small island where the land is healthy so that they can top up on anything they can find which will be of use for a prolonged trip, but when she and Cam are abandoned and left to “Sort.It.Out” on the island by the others, she is more than just angry, she is infuriated and grabs what she needs for solitude, food and warmth, however, it isn’t enough to stave off the cold for long and so after a couple of days she goes on a long walk round the island to warm up. This is where she finds Cam lost in his memories of the last time they were on the island, but she doesn’t get away in time and the fall into another argument, but this time, it ends in more than just harsh words and her stomping off, it ends in understanding and renewal of the passion they both thought had disappeared.
As the days pass and Cam and Freya reunite and sort things out, they see the boat returning, this is where Freya finds out the real reason they had to leave in the middle of the night without saying goodbye, the children they have brought with them are in danger and until they know who is behind the threat, nowhere is safe, so they try and find somewhere they can regroup until the danger passes, but will anywhere be safe and to what lengths will the group go to, to protect their children? This is another epic dystopian which will carry you further on the wave this series has created and relationships and motives are questioned, love, loss and emotions are running both high and low as friends, partners, parents and communities are pushed to breaking point to protect those they love and you will join them all on this rollercoaster of a story until you all know how it ends.

Captain Ravenna Joyner is a woman who has risen through the ranks of the Space Force and has a gained a reputation while doing it, but only one person has seen through that and actually made her happy and now they have disappeared and Ravenna will do anything to rescue them, even if that means working with someone she can’t stand and a prisoner who could kill her in seconds. Dravos Trax is a is an alien who has been imprisoned by humans for the last five years and has little to no trust for them, but when he is given the opportunity to be released from his captivity by tracking the missing Space Force ship the Perseus, he jumps at the chance, even if his life would be forfeit if he leads the others on the mission wrong.
As Ravenna joins the rest of the team she will be living with for the time it will take to complete the mission and find her lover, this is where she first lays eyes on the Tracker who will be accompanying them and the first impressions are interesting, she is more curious than fearful and in comparison to her crewmates, this is definitely not the norm, but she feels an unexpected connection to the alien in front of her, but she has no idea why. Dravos has been starved and when he first lays eyes and ears on the commandoes in front of him, all he can do is listen to the conversation and assess them, however, as soon as he sees the only woman in the group, he knows he is in trouble, her scent is unique and calls to him in a way that only his mate can and that is just his luck, that his mate would be a detestable human, but soon all he can think of is feeding as an irresistible meal is brought to him.
As the mission sets off, Dravos tries to keep his distance from Ravenna, but in the confines of a ship, this is not easy to do, but he is determined to do it until the mission is finished, especially when he finds out that the ship they are searching for harbours his mate’s lover, just another complications to add to things. Meanwhile, Ravenna is finding it difficult to keep the relationship with Dravos professional and is struggling with those feelings, but when they find the Perseus everything changes, so the team don their space suits and head to the ship and as they find body after body, but no sign of a struggle, they suspect something is wrong, but grief devastates Ravenna when they find her lovers body. Shortly after this, communications break down and Ravenna and Dravos are left on the ship by their fellow commandoes and told that they need to tie up loose ends, so they both go into survival mode and manage to escape by the skin of their teeth, but now they are stuck together trying to find out the who and the why behind the betrayal of her crew and the deaths of those aboard the Perseus.
Will Dravos and Ravenna manage to find the answers they seek, or will their survival be found out and their lives become endangered all over again? Will they allow the budding passion growing between them to flourish, or will revenge stop something before it can begin? This is a fantasy romance with space themed action throughout, as a race for answers ensues before fate catches those who try and outrun it in this engaging story.

Operation Pinpoint is a very original and fast-paced adventure in space. Captain Ravenna Joyner is on a mission to save her lover. Dravos Trax is on a mission to find Perseus; a missing Space Force vessel. When Ravenna and Dravos meet, there is an instant pull to each other but they have a lot to deal with. When the ship is located they find that all the occupants, including Ravenna’s lover, are dead. They find themselves betrayed and have to find a way to gain their freedom. Landra Graf has created an excellent original story. The characters are well-written and the world-building is amazing. I enjoyed the chemistry between Raveena and Dravos and all the action within the story. This book is the first in the series and I cannot wait to see how the story continues.

Captain Ravenna Joyner talks her way onto a rescue mission to find out what happened to her lover. She is dedicated to find her that Joyner is willing to give up anything and everything including her work in Space Force to find the woman who changed her life. As part of the mission, Joyner works with the alien Dravos Trax and holds the key to his life in her hands. He lives or dies on her whim. Once the ship is located, the mystery begins as to how and why the occupants died. But wait, the others on the mission are out to rid Joyner and Dravos from ever taking information or evidence back to headquarters. Putting their feelings aside the two work together to find the real reason for the death of the spaceship and how to save the universe along the way finding a forbidden love in each other and finding out how to live with the crazy passion that they feel for each other. Not the typical type of book that I usually read but such a great story that I was not disappointed. The characters are so diverse and unique, and the lead is such a strong female character with a glimpse of softness and emotion. Dravos is such an amazing character who is totally finds himself at the mercy of Joyner in all aspects of his life. I loved this book and found it very easy to read and to get involved in the love affair between Joyner and Dravos. This book was exciting from page one and never let up in the emotion, excitement, or mystery of who killed the spaceship crew. Looking forward to many more stories about Space Force Rejects!

Emma is hired by a fellow co-worker to examine the circumstances around his father’s death. Along the way she is attacked like two other women, but she survived the attack. Now it is time to really solve who is after the family fortune and who is haunting the house. Of course, along the way we are privy to the relationship Emma has with her family and how together they all form a solid unit and help to solve the case of Haunted Christmas. Again, such a great strong lead character in Emma and her love interest is just the sweetest love ever. I love the historical aspect that comes into play and the traditional recipes that are made and given recipes for. Who could ask for more than to sit down with a great book, a cup of coffee, and the thought of yummy recipes to try to make upon finishing the book!? A winner in my eyes!!! I am one of this author’s biggest fans! Such a wholesome read and very well-developed plot and finish.
This is a quick but exciting story with a lot going on. Although it is a short story it is action packed and fun to read. I enjoyed the characters. They were so different from each other but worked so well. I thought this book was a great example of what I have come to expect from this author – well written sci-fi that will keep the pages turning. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of this genre.

This is a fantastic follow up to the first book in the series and I think was even better than book 1. I loved the story that the author created with this book. Its intriguing and well written, full of so many exciting features. The story and the characters complement each other so well. I w a pulled into both of them and couldn’t wait to see how things would unfold. This series is fantastic so far and if the following books keep up then this is shaping up to be a brilliant series. I am excited to see what will come next and would urge everyone to read these books.

This book is an interesting take on science fiction. It has dark humor and an interesting plot. The story goes between the ship and Roaton, has creatures, fast paced action, interesting characters a bit of a love story. Lab Spill is a second book in a series, but can be read as a stand alone. While parts of the book were a bit much for me, it was readable and entertaining. If you are a sci-fi fan, you will probably enjoy this read.

In the Notebook Mysteries series A Haunted Christmas is a feel-good, cozy, Christmas Carol ‘esque mystery novel that has a bit of a sinister edge. Ethan has been tasked with cleaning up, decorating, and holding the annual Christmas party at his old childhood home after the death of his father. Servants are running away claiming the mansion is haunted because of weird noises and apparitions that they have seen and in the beginning of the book we are greeted with a scene pulled straight from a Christmas Carol. What really happened to Ethan’s father? That’s the question that Ethan has tasked to Emma and her Scooby-Doo gang type family to answer for him.
Ella is on tour with the grumpy drummer, Jared. As much as she tries to stay away from him. Something always puts them back together. Getting away she goes to a cabin for some peace and quiet. Waiting for the rest of her female friends, when the one person she did not want to see walks in. Now they are stuck together, all alone. Could this unlikely couple make the best of their time together? Or will they make each other miserable? Is romance building in that cabin? No Spoilers to be found here. This is a new author for me. This is one book I am happy to own. Her writing is clear and easy to follow. I love the characters and the way they work around each other. They make you feel like they are your friends too. This is the fourth book in the series, and could be a standalone. I will however be starting the first book in this series. I want to read more, to complete the series.
