I loved this ghost story. It kept your attention throughout the whole book. I loved the sub plot about Mysir de Duke Archambeau’s dead wife, I cannot wait to read more of their story in book two. Madam Elinor Chalamet is a well-known ghost talker (medium), she frequently assists on criminal investigations to figure out who someone may be, how they died, and who killed them. The book is set in a country named Sarnesse, in a time period where a lady was allowed education but still upheld to a certain standard. The case that Madam Chalamet is brought in to assist with, is the death of the Giles Monet, and has the crowns attention. Because it is such a high-profile case, Madam Chalamet is brought to Mysir de Duke’s house to be on house arrest and restricted from speaking to anyone about the case. I love the connection between Madam Chalamet and Mysir de Archambeau, while it is not an immediate attraction, I love the way they interact with each other, both strong personalities battling out to win dominance. The ending was amazing, coming to a close of the criminal investigation, but leaving you still with some questions about all of the characters, more specially, if Madam Chalamet will investigate the Duke’s wife’s death.

I enjoyed this story. The story has a wonderful underlying tale with the Rom Com nights. Plus all the movie themed bits snuck in here. The characters are good. The four women have a wonderful story of getting together and being besties through everything. Then enter the men in their lives. Ryan is impulsive and quick to acknowledge his “like” upon meeting Lisa. Neither party was at their “best” upon first meeting which is good. Their tale is filled with best friends, misunderstandings and inner turmoil. They have highs and lows which make the storyline move along at a quick pace. I laughed and even teared up a time or two.

Overall this is a charmingly wonderful tale of friendship and overcoming adversity. I look forward to more in this series.

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is a well written story where two strangers meet and life changes for both of them and not what they expected. A story of bad plans and infatuation that could be deadly. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story. They are creative and have great growth throughout the story. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. A story you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book and this author

This is a series that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up by this author. This is the fifth book in the series which I highly suggest reading previous books as they are just as great as this one. This is a series that just keeps getting better and better with every installment. This a well written story where the author used details to make the story come to life. The characters pull you in from the start. They are engaging, creative and strong that have great growth throughout. A fast paced vampire story that brings the suspense and steam together into a hard to put down story. I really enjoy this book and this series. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I was so excited to get my hands on another book by this author. Everything she does is so well written and I just can’t put it down. This book is no exception and was just as good as I now expect. This is an incredible MM fantasy story with some of the best characters I have read about this year. I connected instantly with Garrett and Quinnlan. I loved their chemistry and wanted to read more about them.
I loved the idea behind this book as well. It was a fresh and unique take on finding a mate, which is a trope that can be fairly overdone. This author has quickly and effortlessly become one of my favourites and I look forward to every book she writes.

KG Fletcher has done it again. She has created a story that is complex and romantic and completely captivating. I was hooked on this story as soon as I started reading and I couldn’t wait to see how the story would develop. I thought the characters were perfect for the story too. They had such complicated histories and the kind of connection that you want to work.
As the first book in a new series this is a strong start. It sets the tone for how the rest of the series is likely to go and has got me excited for the other books already. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for the series.

I have not read a poem book in years and I’m so glad I read this one. This book of poems is based on everyday life. These poems are not too long but they will stick in your mind for a while. I read this book in one sitting. Once I started these poems I could not stop. I loved them all but my favorite was Collective Creativity. The words said that we are all different and it is ok. This book gave me a new look at poetry and I can’t wait to read another one.

At the moment I am loving books that include our current life situation. At first, I thought that I would hate them and would prefer books that show characters experiencing life as we were used to. However the more I read books in a post pandemic world, the more I realize I like reading books that make me see characters in situations that are really really relatable.
At the beginning of the book we meet, Gary and Debbie. Gary is man of mystery and Debbie wants to know more. Debbie is Gary’s new boss in a private investigator office. Debbie and Gary have grown close and everyone in Debbie’s family loves Gary, even her husband. Gary spends lots of time with Debbie and her kids. When Debbie’s mom tests positive for coronavirus, they find out that they all must quarantine. This means that Gary will be staying with Debbie and her family, because she doesnt want him to be alone for two whole weeks. This time gives Gary a chance to tell her about himself, his story and what all he has seen. This won’t be an easy task for Gary but he must help his friend distract herself from her situation.
I absolutely loved this story. I love the realness of the situation, from the despair of Debbie’s Mother when she tests positive. To the family’s reaction to having to quarantine. However, the part I loved the most was the friendship between Debbie and Gary. This felt like a real life friendship and their care for one another was palpable. Gary’s story was absolutely fascinating and I loved reading the background about him. What has happened to him to make him the way he is.
This is the third book in a series, but I have not read the first two books (yet). This definitely reads as a standalone and I had no problem following the storyline as I was reading. I definitely think this is a must read!

Emily immediately sees a hot guy but believes him to be married as the cruise is just for people on their honeymoon. Max, as it turns out, is working as a photographer for the ship. With a little bit of insecurity, Emily shies away from him but she is all Max can think about.
Opinion
This is a great, laugh out loud book. With all of the adventure of a cruise, the setting is perfect for a romantic comedy. What I loved most about this book is that at the end of each chapter is a mini cliff hanger. I felt compelled to read this book in as few sittings as possible. Be prepared to not be able to put this book down.
The way the book ended is a perfect set up for another book in a series. I hope that to be true.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic comedy, which had me happily turning the pages and feeling immersed in the story. The heartwarming storyline starts with Ruby being left devastated at the altar, and best friend Emily stepping in to cheer her up by suggesting they take the non refundable honeymoon cruise together. As the cruise is for newlyweds only the best friends pretend to be a married couple, which is fine until Emily meets Max, the ships very hot photographer. Emily doesn’t want to let Ruby down or get then thrown off the cruise but, she also can’t keep her hands to herself around Max.
Whilst enjoying the Caribbean Emily needs to find a way of having her fling and supporting her best friend, and maybe she can have the best of both worlds. This fun, lighthearted romance had wonderful characters. I loved the friendship between Emily and Ruby which came across really well in the narrative. The chemistry between Emily and Max sizzled off the page, and the Caribbean setting was brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative. There were some really emotional moments and some laugh out loud moments, all of which kept me hooked from start to finish.

This is the prequel to one of my favourite books series and I just loved getting to spend more time with these characters. I was gutted when the Mafia Elite series came to an end, so was excited to find out that there was going to be a prequel.
With it being a prequel, you know how it’s going to end but I was more interested in going through the journey with these characters who I have absolutely loved reading about. I can say it certainly did not disappoint. I’d love to read even more about this fantastic group of people.
This book takes you through the tragic events of Marissa Rossi. This even is discussed in great detail in the series but you don’t get the full story of what really went down at it was fantastic to finally have this part of the story told in full.
I really hope that we are going to get more from this amazing group of characters as I’m not ready to say goodbye to them yet.

Elinor Chalamet is a medium, more commonly referred to as a Ghost Talker, that has been using her skills to try to uncover the truth behind who her father’s killer could be. When a body is discovered in the river Madame Chalamet is brought in and asked if she could talk to the dead body. To find out who this person is, she asks the dead body who they are, who they were last with and if he can describe the last hour of his life.

In doing so Madame Chalamet suddenly finds herself wrapped up in some royal matters that involve the Duke de Archambeau. The Duke de Archambeau thinks Madame Chalamet has heard too much and until royal matters are concluded Madame Chalamet is to be a “guest” at his lavish home.

I loved the authors very vivid descriptions of the clothing the characters wore, as well as the furniture and homes of that era. I felt as though I was there, and I could see myself standing in the room looking around at the beautiful furnishings that surrounded me. The characters were unique while also being relatable. Madame Chalamet is a unique character whom I quickly felt drawn to. I loved that she could talk to ghosts because that is fascinating, but she is also strong, smart, witty, and feisty. Duke de Archambeau was a hard one to figure out as he came across initially as being snobbish and uptight, but then there were times he seemed so endearing and sweet, albeit briefly. There appeared to be some sort of chemistry between Madame Chalamet and Duke de Archambeau, but it was so subtle it was hard to tell. I am anxious to read book two and see if and how things progress between the two of them.

Its the story of Miriam a CIA operative during the Cold War. She has seen more than any one person should see and her dreams keep her awake at night. Trying to fight the KGB and be one step ahead of them at all times is a job in itself. Her mission this time is very dangerous and if she can succeed then she will save more than one life. She is trying to help a scientist deflect from Russia and to do that she may end up in more danger herself. This book is so full of history and spy stuff that I found so very interesting. You don’t know who to trust and there is danger around every corner. I can’t wait til the next book in this amazing series. Do yourself a favor and read it today.

She has lost her mom, her dad and a sister in the course of a year and she also endured a long horrible battle with COVID that almost caused her own death. When she is trying to recover she realizes that the most important thing on Earth is family. She wants to spend more time with her family and they want no part of it. She and her husband are growing apart and her kids have all moved on with their lives. When she meets Max a young man who has recently lost his wife to cancer they form a friendship and that friendship saves them both. Carina learns to function thru and after a worldwide pandemic. Can she put her life back together and find joy in the world again. Read this sweet book to find out!

Ann Swann created a wondrous story that immerses the reader into Carina’s world. Swann uses elegant descriptions of the quaint cabin and town not far from the cabin to bring everything to life. The reader can relate to Carina because we have all had to deal with the after-effects of COVID in one way or another.

Because of COVID and the death of her parents, Carina has been put through the wringer, emotionally and physically. A good ol’ home-fashioned family Christmas is all Carina is looking forward to after COVID took her down for the count causing her to have an extended stay at the hospital. Unfortunately, her family regards her as a silly sentimental old woman whom they do not have time to visit even for Christmas. She turns to a young man named Max from her grief group for support. When he offers the use of his Colorado cabin, she knows it could be the answer to her prayers for a family Christmas. Will Carina be able to convince her family to enjoy a white Christmas with her at the cabin? It is unlikely and she writes about the possibility of going to the cabin alone, but she is not as brave as she used to be because she is so used to depending on other people. A Christmas to Remember is my first holiday anthology. 7 wonderful stories in one book! Merry Birthday to me (yes, you read that right). I have been looking forward to chilly weather, warm fuzzy socks, a cozy blanket, and a cup of coffee watching my favorite hallmark xmas movies. And then I found this book and it was like 7 of my favorite hallmark movies in one book! Joy to the World is right!

I cannot decide which story is my favorite because they all have such interesting characters and storylines. Mistletoe Memories was especially “sweet” (you see what I did there) and I loved it because I remember the days I used to work in a bakery. Copper Penny Christmas was absolutely adorable!!!!!! OMG! My heart melted. The Mrs. Clause was unique and I loved how the protagonist handled her challenge and dilemma.

Overall, you cannot go wrong with any of the stories. Get your cup of cocoa or coffee ready, a nice cozy blanket, and get lost in a holiday anthology to rival any holiday movie special!

The Final Bite was a short and easy read with an interesting concept. Quinnlan is given a second chance at “life” with a tough mission. Find his true mate in less than 3 days (in a small town in the middle of nowhere) and if they chose him in return, he can live again. The story progresses fairly quickly as you follow Quinnlan on his “impossible” journey. The story is an MM paranormal romance with a HEA. I wanted to know more about Quinnlan’s back story and his sister’s betrayal. I want to know what happened to Garret’s father when he was taken. I hope the author writes stories about the other chosen second chances too.

Gary and Debbie work together at the Detective Agency, although they get on well there is always something at the back of Debbie’s mind that Gary seems to have had a hard life. As the time goes on Debbie is devastated when her mother becomes ill with COVID her world falls apart.

As the world comes under siege by this mysterious virus and is thrown into Quarantine, with her mother ill and Debbie not being able to get to her so becomes reliant on Gary to help her through this time. Gary has his own demons and with the help of Debbie offering an ear when he needs to decompress the relationship grows.

Gary’s history is rocky, and can Debbie help him be the man he wants to be.

This was the first book I have read by this author and although this story is the third in the series it was easy to read as a standalone. I loved the characters and the interactions they had needing each other in the times of great solitude and pressures of the pandemic in Australia. The story from Gary was heart-breaking and really delved into his character and who he is now.

I loved this story and can’t wait to read the other two books in this series to understand the relationship got to this point from these characters and hope to read book four in the future.

Master Catteneo is the fifth book in the Master’s of the Consulate series. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author, and it most certainly won’t be the last, especially this specific series. The Master’s of the Consulate, including Master Catteneo, are quick, suspenseful, and absorbing, so easy to get lost in, and they are over long before you want them to end. The events that occur in this book are connected with the other books in the series but not so much that you can’t be comfortable with what’s going on in the one your reading if you haven’t read the previous books in the series. This is definitely a must read for those who enjoy spicy, paranormal romance stories.

This is the 3rd book in the Hollins & Haring series. I personally haven’t read the first two books but I was still able to enjoy this as a standalone. The author has a great way of writing which drags you into the story and doesn’t let go. I really felt for Debbie when her mum tested positive for covid. All the upsetting circumstances of having a loved women very poorly and not being able to help is something most people can relate to which makes the story feel more real.

Gary and Debbie work together trying to set up their own investigation business. But to Debbie Gary is a mystery. She doesn’t know much about his past or where he comes from, that is until now.

Gary doesn’t want to remember his past or even think about it but when Debbie’s mum becomes sick with covid he decides a way to distract her is to open up about himself.
So we are now taken through a story of danger, heartbreak and action and we grow to understand why Gary is the way he is and the circumstances which have lead him here.
Mixed with us learning Gary’s story we also still follow along with Debbie and her family as they struggle with her mum being ill and all the complications that came with a sick loved one during covid times.

It was lovely to see Debbie and Gary get closer as Gary tells his story. Its hard to read in parts as Gary is forced to face demons he would rather never see again but he feels he needs to, because his story is all thats holding Debbie together at times. I will definately be going back to read the first two books.

After reading the description of Road to the Mansfield I was still wholly unprepared for this book. The title is very accurate for the contents of the book. It is actually three smaller stories that tell the story of what led these three people to the Mansfield and ultimately set them up to be in the right place at the right time on one fateful, tragic night. This book is a fast-paced page turner, it’s absorbing, and suspenseful. I didn’t want to stop reading it. I do feel a few trigger warnings should preface Road to the Mansfield such as Rape, Prostitution, Abuse, Controlling Men, and Death of a Friend in a graphic way, just to keep in mind. At the end we are left with a big cliffhanger ending that sets up a perfect opening for book two, which I am fully looking forward to. I think it’s best to go into this book with no specifics, other than the trigger warnings, or preconceived ideas, and just know that you are in for a wild ride.
