Small-town second chances romance. Ted went to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Now he is home and adjusting to his new normal. I absolutely adore this story and in many ways it mirrors my life currently. Teddy told Robyn not to wait on him and she hasn’t but she is drawn to him and he is drawn to her. This book has many characters and not all of them are on team Teddy. Wonderful story. I love this authors writing and cannot wait to see where we go in book 2

Dia’s Lure is the third book in this series. I would strongly recommend reading the books in order so you get a complete understanding of the characters and the story.
This is a paranormal fantasy romance. I loved the elements of danger in it and the different characters. The author does an amazing job of bringing these fantasy characters to life. I didn’t read the first 2 books but that didn’t stop my enjoyment of this book. I will however be going back to read the series from the beginning.
Dia is a very interesting character. All her life she has been on the run from hunters because of what she can become. She is a strong willed and resourceful character however she does have a sense of sadness and loneliness about her because she can’t let people in and the one person she did let in and loved betrayed her.
That person was Carver. Carver is a dingo shifter. He has made many questionable mistakes in his life that he regrets. The main was was hurting Dia and causing the destruction of her tribe. Now he’s free to make amends for the past and the pain he has caused but will Dia accept him and forgive him or has the damage been too much that there is no going back.
This story is definately a page turner which a slight element of fated mates has most shifter stories have but the journey for Dia and Carver to get there is definately a roller coaster of a ride you don’t want to miss
I went into this book blind only knowing that it was a true crime book but no further details. We picked it to read this month for my book club and this book was a tragic emotional roller coaster. While I know that things like this happen it was so unfathomable what these children endured and how little anybody helped them. It was intriguing how one woman could abuse so many people both children and adults and get away with it for so long and have so much tragedy happened. This woman is what I consider the epitome of a monster I was equally disgusted with her final spouse. This book tugged at all the heartstrings and I found myself crying through several portions of it. The book is extremely well written and the authors writing style showed with a true story teller he is. This was my first book by this author and I intend to pick up the rest of his books as soon as I can. While this book is filled with so much tragedy and pain and I am giving a warning to that effect it is definitely a book worth reading.

Gunner is the third book in the Hollins & Haring series by T.J. Beach. This is the first book that I have read by Mr. Beach, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into the story. But the intriguing name had caught my eye, and I really love a great thriller- so I clicked a copy and dove in to see what I would find. I wish I had realised going in that this is the third book in the series, because even though this could be read as a standalone, I feel it would have been an even better experience if I had read the other two books in the series first and had known everything that has happened up to this point. Don’t get me wrong, this was a great read, as is, even not knowing what happened previously… I just can’t help but wonder what happened in the first two books and whether that information would have elevated my reading experience of this instalment…… so I will definitely be going back to explore those books, before continuing on with this series. This is a cleverly woven thriller with dual threads unravelling at the same time- adding some extra depth, tension, and intrigue to this gripping read. Playing out at the start of the Covid pandemic, the story takes us from Western Australia to London- for and action-packed read that I imagine would also make a thrilling movie. These characters are really well-developed- they were expertly crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I felt for them and what they had/were going through- which made it easy to connect with them and invest in the story. I am glad that I stumbled on this book- otherwise I might have missed out on discovering a great author and a thrilling series, and now I can’t wait to sink my teeth into more instalments. Happy Reading…

I really enjoyed this short novel. This book flowed nicely and I enjoyed the back and forth between main characters. I loved the ending and it left me excited to read the rest of the series! Well written and easy to follow, this book was a great one to cozy up and consume in a sitting! Great concept and storyline!

Faultless Love is the first book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls Series by K.G Fletcher. As Ms. Fletcher is on my MUST-READ author list, I have read and LOVED all her books- so I was really excited to get my hands on this new release. As soon as it hit my Kindle, I plunged in- and didn’t come up for air till I’d read every last word. It’s a superb introduction to her fantastic new series. As expected from Ms. Fletcher, this book comes with an emotional wallop that made my heart ache and go pitter-pat all at the same time. It’s a wonderful, emotional second chances romance that, like all her other books, has plucked at my heartstrings. With a small-town setting, intense chemistry, steam, family, love, loss, a painful past, worthiness issues, drama, healing, touching & tender moments, wonderful endearing characters, hope, an engaging storyline- this touching second chance contemporary romance proves Ms. Fletcher’s catch-cry that ‘love always wins’… Bring on ‘Shameless Love’- Book #2…. Can’t wait! Happy Reading!

Selfless Teddy taking the fall for something he didn’t do. An instance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Faultless Love is a second chance romance, a second chance at life, and a redemption story for our main male character. The author wrote a wonderful story about a man’s struggles getting through the last 6 years of his life and his new found freedom. Not quite free he’s still on probation, but almost free. Teddy’s growth over his time from when the incident happened and now was written impressively. Being back with his family, making contact with the woman he loves, those are things that kept him going. Robyn knows he’s home and still feels guilty that he was put away because of her. But she still loves him, and rekindling that romance does take long. Robyn, unlike Teddy, didn’t really grow in the 6 years. It seems the author wrote Robyn in a way where she regressed due to guilt. She had a small bit of growth at the end but you have to read to get there. I enjoyed this book, a little slow at first for me, but once it picked up I was invested. Everytime I read something old but something new I’m intrigued. Something old meaning the genre, something new meaning the basis of the story itself. If you enjoy a redemption story, strap in and jump into this roller coaster of a story. The author wrote a wonderful book, and I look forward to checking out others.

The Final Bite is a cute story with an interesting plot. I liked that Quinnlan is not your stereotypical vampire. I also really enjoyed the way the story was told, as if Quinnlan was telling us the story and it was amusing when he talked directly to the reader. The plot was not complex, and things were resolved easily, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.

Finding Bryce (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 1)
I know the purpose of a quick read is to get engrossed in the book quickly, but I don’t think I have had a story grab me quite as fast as this one did. I am not one to read in the car but I couldn’t not read this book while we were out running errands.
With a quick introduction of the guys on the SEAL Team and then meeting Pippa we are on our way into the story. We learn a lot in a short time and I definitely want more of these guys.
Pippa has been through so much at such a young age, but has finally settled in a new location with no life outside of school and work she goes to a party that changes everything for her.
I was charmed early by the gladiator and his charm did not fade. If I could have met a guy like that in my younger years.
This I author is brand new to me and I really liked that this book is my introduction to her. I will be reading the others in this series, starting with the next two that have been released.

What a great romance! This story was definitely more than I anticipated. I couldn’t put it down and read it in a day! This story has such a sweet story about forgiveness and starting new. I really like how genuine the story is and the relationships Teddy has with everyone. Robyn is just what I wanted her to be! This story did not disappoint and I loved every minute of it! This author has a great writing style that just flows so well and I will definitely be reading more of their work!

Can I just start off by saying that this book and author are WOAH amazing! I devoured this book super quickly and could not put it down for nothing!! The chemistry between these two characters was SIZZLING! Overcoming lots of different challenges was one of the things that these people had to go through to see if their love will handle the things that they need to. I cannot wait to reread this book over and over again. I cannot wait to see what the next book the author has in store for us to read.

Years ago, Dia lured hunters away to keep her family safe and she’s been hiding ever since. She changed her name, her gender, her looks all to keep herself and her younger sister’s safe from their dark past.
Dia who goes by Dane, is going to help in an active warzone when a bomb goes off and shifts the bus they were in. Fight or flight kicked in and she ran until she collapsed. When she came to, she was in a camp of bat shifters who just wanted to be left alone in a world where shifters are hunted. The shifters, not knowing who or what Dia is, insist on her staying until they can trust her. The next day they get another intruder and it is Dia’s mate whom she blames for the slaughter of her tribe.
Years later and there are still feelings there. As she gets to know the bat colonies leader, Milos, she realizes that there could be something between them as well.
Kano spent years trying to find his lost love Dia while also trying to stay away to protect her. When he arrives on the scene of the bus, he picks up her scent, causing him to stumble into the camp. Instantly, Kano can tell that Dia wants nothing to do with him because of their past but he can’t help it. All the while Milos catches his eye as well.
After a lifetime of them all running, will they finally settle down and try to make something of these feelings?
As much as I enjoyed the first book of the series, this one is a lot better. There is alot more action, steam, romance. It even gets a little erotic here and there. I could not put it down.
This is book one in the series and it’s off to a great start. I’m immediately drawn to Teddy and his wrongful imprisonment. He’s off to a new start on his family’s farm and rekindles a steamy romance with his first love. This book is about second chances, love and redemption. Fletcher did a wonderful job in creating characters you love and some you hate. Besides the romance, the drama and plot had me turning the page to see what would happen! I look forward to book two and beyond!

This book is the first book of the Solstice Quartet series and it is a great introduction to the world.
Ember lost everything years ago when hunters showed up at their tribe and slaughtered and kidnapped all of their people including her own mother. They come from a tribe of swan shifters. Her sister Dia led the hunters away from Ember, their father and their other sister Amy so they could get away. Years later and they still have no idea what happened to Dia which makes them feel the need to hide.
Ember is a chef and owner of a small cafe. She loves to cook. Unfortunately living in a small town not used to ethnic food made her cafe empty most of the time. Due to her father’s paranoia, Ember hasn’t done much to change this until she meets Austin.
Austin is a host of a show that goes to different restaurants and reviews them. After entering Ember’s cafe he is smitten instantly. With her, with her food, her passion and her energy and knows that she deserves more customers in her place of work.
Austin tries to convince her to take part in an episode that will most likely bring clientele in. With her past, she is unsure where to go from here.
There was chemistry between these two from the very beginning. They seemed like soul mates. Instantly they got along and spoke like they’ve known each other for years. There was a strong will they/won’t they between the two while they tried to fight their feelings and dark past. There wasn’t much action but like i said it was a very good introduction to the world as you get to read flashbacks and memories. The world in of itself is unique. It talks of Maori traditions. It was very interesting to read.
This was a really good read! It was enthralling and very well written. I enjoyed the angst, and the second chance romance that was involved. It was emotional and just the combination of a Christmas tree farm and winery gave me big Hallmark movie vibes. This is a great seasonal read for this time of year and I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed reading this book. The way the author formats the chapters between the mother speaking to her daughter after her passing and flashbacks of her daughter’s accidents keep you guessing. I was definitely engaged in the story until the very end. Story starts after the daughter, Susie, dies after a tragic accident during her trip to Greece. Her mother Catherine has been trying for the past year after Susie’s death to make sense of these turn of events. Was there something that the investigation missed or could someone be responsible for her horrific fall? As time goes on, Catherine reconnects with those she traveled with, her then-boyfriend and some old friends. She is able to reflect on the best moments of her daughter but she comes to terms with aspects of her daughter unbeknownst to her. The happy glowing face of hers fading in the last year. Her frail thinning figure is quite obvious. A controlling and dominating relationship. What could have happened to Catherine’s daughter who was so full of life and now just left with many questions.

I love this book a lot! It’s full of love and it’s so heartwarming! Ted was serving time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He hasn’t seen the love of his life in YEARS! When he returns home will things pick back up where they left off? The characters are all great! You can’t help but to fall in love with them all! Teds father and siblings are so welcoming and loving and they’re all about family! I love reading books like that! There’s also some drama and it made me so mad with everything that TED had to go through! He’s a good guy and he keeps getting dealt a horrible hand. But he’s strong and he’s keeping his head high! There’s also spice and who doesn’t love that? If i could give this book 10 stars I would! I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Huge page turner! I’ll be reading more books by KG Fletcher!

Favorite Quote: “God, she deserved so much better – and better was what he had to convince himself he was going to give her when he was finally a free man.”
Synopsis: Leaving the bonfire that night to go on a beer run was the absolute worst decision, changing Ted’s life forever. If only he had stayed at the bonfire, kissing on Robyn, he wouldn’t have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. After serving five years in prison for a crime he did not commit, he is out on parole working for his family business. When Robyn appears for the first time since Ted’s release, sparks begin to fly. Will they be able to rekindle what they had all those years ago?
Reader’s Thoughts: This is my first time reading a book written by K.G. Fletcher. The strong family dynamics, relationships, and friendships built between all the characters in her book Faultless Love had me turning pages as quickly as I could until the very end. Finishing this in one day, I just couldn’t put it down. She told the story seamlessly from beginning to end leaving no detail left untold. Her characters were loveable and relatable. I was rooting for Robyn and Ted the entire way. The secondary characters, mainly Ted’s siblings, made me laugh with their banter. I loved how they all participated in the big surprise for the ending. Fletcher’s writing style roped me in, allowing me to feel as if I was right there with them, emotions and all!

Meet the Author: KG Fletcher resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and three sons. She is a hopeless romantic. When she is not on the road singing, she’s probably at home daydreaming about her swoony book boyfriends or arranging a yummy charcuterie board while sipping red wine and listening to Frank Sinatra.

Robyn and Teddy have been in love forever, but one fateful night tore them apart. Years later, Teddy is back in Langston Falls looking for a second chance on life, healing to move on from his past and also to be with his love, Robyn. I can honestly say I loved Teddy and the fact he gave up his freedom so Robyn would not lose her freedom, the sacrifice…my heart strings!! Will Robyn and Teddy’s love unite and come back with the spark they had long ago?
This story was amazing…..and I am already looking forward to book 2!! So well done!!!

This was a quick but very suspenseful start to the series, and I loved every minute of it! The author somehow captured everything needed for an explosive story in such a short amount of time. I can’t wait to read the second book!
Pippa and Tanner meet at a costume party and hit it off immediately. It gets steamy very quickly, and they leave without knowing the other’s identity as they are both masked. It all seems fine as a one-night stand until Pippa discovers she is pregnant by this mystery gladiator and vows to protect her baby at all costs. Once her ex gets out of prison, he finds and abducts both Pippa and her son. Will Tanner be able to save them both, or will he never get to know his son at all?
There is plenty of romance and action in this book, and I am super excited to see what the author has in store for the next! I highly recommend picking this up. I bet you’ll devour it just like I did!

Faultless Love: A Small Town Second Chance Romance is the first book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. Ted has spent five years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Once he is released, can he pick up with life as he once knew it? The story quickly drew me in, and I wanted to discover where Ted’s new life would lead. I enjoyed all of the characters in the story and the story that the author weaved. I wanted the best to come for Ted as he started over. His family’s acceptance and love for him pulled at my heart. Will a second chance at love be in his future? You’ll need to read this story to find out the answer. This was a sweet romance, and I look forward to reading the next book about The Bennetts of Langston Falls.

Goodness me. Honestly, just the first chapter of this novel had me tearing up this morning as I lay awake pondering the world and all the changes surrounding us as of late. Maybe not as emotionally stable as I would like to be if a novel can knock my morning into a flurry of emotions first thing but I loved it. Absolutely, one hundred percent about this author and the way her writing draws you in, having you hold your breath and hoping for the best outcome imaginable. If only I could hire her on to write up the blueprint to my life for the next few months, I know I’d be in good hands.
Theodore and Robyn are, well, just exactly what they need to be. They have their headstrong ways, their ability to weave each other into the best versions of themselves individually and together, and it’s admirable. Love, they say, the real way you’re meant to be loved, matches the love and want and need that lays deep in your own soul, and these two did just that. Honestly, I cannot wait to read more of The Bennetts, and anything else that’s brought to my bedside table with her name on it!

Bernadette continues to impress me with each of her novels, and this is no exception! Choosing this to be my next read was an easy decision, what with loving rom com movies, girls nights and the author herself.
There are so many things about this book that I absolutely love, but the first that comes to mind is how the author threw in references from some popular rom-coms. One thing that I found I didn’t like about the book was that the chapters were very short and I found many of them ending abruptly. Apart from that, the story of Lisa and Ryan had me hooked from the start, and I can’t wait to see what the next book brings!

After five years of being in prison, Ted Bennett is on his way home to his hoe in Langston Falls. He has one year left on his parole and he intends to stay out of trouble. His parole officer, Ms. Sam McNeil, automatically meets him at the Family Christmas Tree Farm and Winery. She is adament about Ted staying at the farm but only doing the work for the Christmas trees as a condition of his parole.
What did Ted do that made him serve prison time? Robyn Morgan, his high school sweetheart, knows exactly what he didn’t do. She was a law student but quit pursuing her dream when she watched the justice system fail when Ted was sentenced to prison. Now, she works in a flower shop and has a horrible relationship with Anderson. Anderson tries to get her to go for the bar exam and move to Atlanta, but Robyn feels that Langston Falls is her home. Her relationship with Anderson falls into the backdrop when Ted walks into the flower shop. Their love never died.
Ted and Robyn begin spending more time together and prepare for an annual Festival on the Bennett farm. However, Robyn never broke off her relationship with Anderson. Anderson drops in at the festival. Ted is crushed when Robyn leaves with Anderson back to her house. Robyn and Anderson break off their relationship, both admitting there was no love between them.
Later, during the music concert that Ted’s brother Hank performs in, Ms. Kirby approaches Ted and asks to speak to him in private. She tells him about the security video that proves his innocence. Before anything else could be said, Glen Kirby finds his mother and Ted. He tries to instigate a fight only to be held back by Ted’s brother Walt. Robyn enters with Ms. McNeil. Walt lets Glen go and he knocks her out by punching her in the face. Ted hit Glen twice, dropping him to the ground. Then Glen laughs “I’m pressing charges, you just violated your parole murderer!” Violating his parole means Ted will return to prison. What does Ted do now? What about Robyn?
This is a well-written story about how justice isn’t always served in a nice box like many of us would like to think. I found the story relatable in some aspects since I have experienced the court system on both sides as prosecuting and defendant. The label of justice being blind is true; in all ways. Read this story to see if Robyn and Ted can continue their relationship or will everything fall apart if Ted is sent back to prison. The end is unpredictable to say the least.

Defiant Princess is a prequel novel to the Mafia Elite series. While being short and sweet it gives you further insight into the relationship of the women of the Mafia Elite series. In this installment you are given a look into a pivotal moment mentioned throughout the series that only makes you love these characters more. Well written and concise.
I enjoyed reading this suspenseful thriller. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how the author was able to use their writing skills and attention to details to make the story come to life. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. The characters pulled you into the story from the start and made me feel a part of the story. They have great growth as well as being supportive of each other. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Gary is asked to help a friend but before he can do that he must face his own demons. What will happen when he comes face to face with what kept him from his family? This is a great story that I highly recommend.

I was excited to see that TJ is a fellow Aussie and grabbed a copy asap.
Gunner is the third book of Hollins & Haring which I did not realise until I was three quarters of the way through. I will definitely be going back to read them but didn’t make a difference overall as it is a standalone.
This mystery thriller is set in beautiful state of Western Australia and London on the cusp of Coronavirus. The characters are interesting, and you will be invested in their stories. It is an emotional tale with a little bit humour, where you want to help in any way you can.
Debbie’s mum is fighting for her life and breaking her heart. She wants her family to be together, but a quarantine means that is impossible.
Hollins decides to tell his story but telling his story is raw and reveals his sorry a*$e to his flaws and all. Exposing himself once again to his past torments him and opens old wounds. But will it help him start to heal?

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance, by a favourite author of mine, with a second chance at love theme. Set in a small town, the storyline had me hooked as I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster. Teddy Bennett is a convicted felon who is out on parole for a crime he didn’t commit, and returns to his hometown to start rebuilding his life. Working on his family’s Christmas tree farm and winery, Teddy wishes that he had never gone on the beer run that lead to him being jailed. When he runs into Robyn, their old attraction and sizzling chemistry is still there, and he’s reminded of the fateful night and the party where he was kissing her by the bonfire. If only he had stayed there then his life would have been very different. Teddy believes that things changed permanently when he was convicted and had to leave Robyn and his freedom behind. However, Robyn never stopped loving or believing in her first love, Teddy and has put her life on hold waiting for him to return. Although the couple are willing to start again, it’s not as easy as picking up where they left off, especially when other people don’t seem to want them to have a second chance at their HEA. I loved Teddy and Robyn, and they were so right for each other and deserved a HEA. Their sizzling chemistry did lead to some rather steamy scenes. Both the characters and small town setting came alive through the descriptive narrative. Set on a Christmas tree farm this heartwarming romance also gave me a festive feeling. A definite five star read!
