Freedom Rings by Brenda Hardwick is the 3rd book in The Circle book series. I advise reading the first 2 books first. This story is a nicely written good versus evil story that beautifully touches on modern-day issues in a fantasy-type setting. Soroya is the new leader of The Circle. She is bringing the group back together with a plan to take them on the offensive in a world where people are being targeted for removal because of the color of their skin. I really enjoyed this story. It has multiple point-of-views which I usually dislike, but which worked beautifully in this story. The characters are well-written and Shawn and his company are very good antagonists. This book grabs hold of you and does not let go until the very end.

Wonderful kids book. The pages are beautifully done, I think they really inspire creativity and imagination. The story is fun for kids, imagining what pirates really do on a day to day basis. I feel like the rhyming also helps hold kids’ attention. Very well done.

This is the 2nd book in what has started a fantastic series and I really can’t wait for more of it. Until I read the first book in this series I had never heard of this author but I can surely say that I will definitely read more of their work and recommend them to others as this is a really great book that had me gripped and entertained from start to finish,
Royce Viktorsson and Michelle Yates had been friends for years as part of a group of friends that includes the main couple from the first book in the Waterfyre rising series. When Michelle has to travel to Iceland for work for the blog she writes her and Royce become closer.
This book definitely has the feel of a romantic suspense which is a genre that I adore. With Royce suffering many unfortunate mishaps at work and Michelle coming under attack the couple are forced together to fight the enemy.
I really enjoyed Royce and Michelle’s story. It is so much more than a contemporary romance. There is a great deal of drama, danger and intrigue that kept me totally gripped to the storyline and wanting to read more and more. The story flowed very well and the characters are so well written that you can really relate to them.
100% recommend.

Carl and Mira are siblings and as we all know there is a love-hate relationship between them. Just as we all did with our siblings. Carl loves building sand castles, while Mira loves breaking them apart. The stronger the castle Carl makes. Mira must find another way to destroy it. This is just another example this author has written to involve the children. This story has so much to give to siblings and all children in general. As a child care providerI find these to be fantastic stories for children. I will continue to recommend this author’s books.

This book is a major page-turner. I found myself unable to put the book down. I found the story incredibly intriguing and well-written. I fell in love with Tallie Brown. She was a capable and amazing young woman. There are plenty of twists to keep you on the edge of your seat!

This is the second book in the Guardians of the PHAE series. I would really recommend reading these books in order so that you get the full understanding of the story. This is a fast paced fantasy adventure which deals with with heartbreak and despair as well as hope. The author does an amazing job of bringing the world alive a the descriptions of Ireland makes you feel like you know the places even if you have never been.

We are back in Ireland with the Unhidden people. We rejoin the story just after the bombings which injured and killed a lot of people with magical abilities( the Unhidden) with cities destroyed, medical supplies low and a mysterious illness showing up Róisín certainly has her hands full and even her healing ability struggling.
As if that isn’t enough to cope with there is still the threat of the groups opposed to magical beings, a deadly plague that is on the loose and when Róisín needs to fight an ancient god to save her world it is definately a story with a lot of action and turmoil and Róisín’s strength comes through in every decision and fight she has.
All this while still trying to figure out what is happening to her abilities and the abilities of all the other Unhidden people.
This story is definately one which gets a hold on you and refuses to let go. You find yourself holding your breath in some parts waiting to see what happens. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series and what the author has planned next.

I am loving Lois Wickstrom’s children’s books. This one is a great learning book with beautiful illustrations by Francie Mion. Loretta takes us on a journey of the lifecycle of the ladybug. From working in her garden through the seasons, to taking some ladybugs home to keep safe – we learn that they hibernate in the cold months, lay eggs when it begins to get warm and then they take care of our gardens. Loretta’s mom is great because she allows Loretta to keep the bugs in the fridge and teaches her how to keep them safe so they can do good things for our environment.

The first to a new series, Brother John is a character that will have you totally entranced by this story right from the start. There are many hidden secrets to be found. Brother John and Mick are on the hunt. These characters are well-developed and felt very real. The plot flowed well. All the drama, action, suspense has me just excited and waiting for book 2.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Degrees of Innocence is the first book in the Cruel Deceptions Series. The author has a way of writing and each book gets better.

Katarina is on a business trip and on the first night there she ends up saving someone. She does CPR and saves a man’s life. She runs into someone and she may be falling for him. The quote I chose for Katarina is: “That I am attracted to a man I’ve known less than forty-eight hours. I don’t know anything about you, except your name, you frequent the island, you’re a little overbearing, extremely handsome, and that your eyes smolder and jaw sets when you get annoyed. I don’t date much, and it’s all a little overwhelming if I’m honest.”

Chase helps Kate do CPR on a man. He doesn’t want to let her know that he owns the company she’s working at. Before her team can get there he lets her know not to hate him. The quote I chose for Chase is: “Katarina, I don’t want our first time together to be rushed, and you need to finish working. Now go before I change my mind, take you into the bedroom and do terrible and shocking things to you.”

Highly recommended for Mafia Romance lovers.

This is book three in The Circle Series. Leylines, magic, connecting with the ancestors, and a unique refreshing read. There’s plenty of action and adventure in Freedom Rings. It’s a fast paced plot that keeps you turning the page. The story is told from multiple view points and gives the reader deeper insight into the characters. I would recommend reading the first two books so that you’re not confused and get lost. That being said, Hardwick’s attention to detail in world and character building brings the story to life.

This is my second book in the Amaleigha series and I love reading her stories. Amaleigha is a little girl, but shows a lot of conviction and care towards the community. She comes up with novel ideas, asks for help, spreads the word and makes sure that the plan is set in motion.
In this book , Amaleigha notices that the school library does not offer much to read for people who speak a different language. She herself loves to read and understands the importance of reading . So she sets up a plan so that students who speak different language would have more books to read.
She spreads the word and people come forward to help and raise money. Very soon, the community opens up a bilingual free library.
A very short meaningful story, I love the underlying message and the attitude towards serving the community.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author.

Connor is working with a friend. He then realizes that his friend already plans on training someone else. The only problem is that the other person is a spoiled brat. The quote I chose for Connor is: “And you didn’t want to upset the golden apple cart, right? I’ll go take a break. See you both later.”

Sienna was promised a vacay, but her parents have other plans. She’s upset with it and gets even more upset when she learns that she’s not going to be alone. The quote I chose for Sienna is: “You promised me a vacation. You promised if I won gold at nationals, I could have the holidays to rest. I need the downtime.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

From the very beginning of the book I could see myself in Lily, so many of the things she dealt with throughout her life are things that I have also dealt with. The moment she meets Jake I started rooting for them to work out and find their happily ever after, and wanting to know how their love story would end made me read this book super quick! One of my favorite things about the book is that it made me laugh so much, something that I love in a romance book! This author definitely left a great first impression on me, I can’t wait to read the other books in this series!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The Fifth Daughter of Thorn Ranch is a fantastic read. I had a hard time putting it down.

Emma is out tending to the fence lines. Her horse gets scared and ends up hurting itself. She finds a cave to sleep only to wake up and find that she’s in a hidden village. Right there on her family’s land. The quote I chose for Emma is: “I’m going to lie still and hope the poison doesn’t travel to my heart. Here’s what’s going to happen. The symptoms of shock are clammy skin and confusion, and I may pass out. Do you understand, Kai? I may go into a deep sleep, but leave me here on the ground. Don’t move me. Do you have any herbs with you?”

Highly recommended for Western Women’s Fiction lovers.

Me and my 5yo daughter really liked this book. It’s super cute and has great illustrations to get your imagination going on where exactly do pirates go on vacation. I thought the rhymes could have been a little better for being a children’s book or I would have given it a 5 star review.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that it wasn’t all about the romance and unrealistic happily ever afters. The storyline progressed well and held my interest through out. I enjoyed the main character, Laurel. She was young and in love, but quickly exposed to what can be reality in some marriages. I would for sure read more books by this author.

I could not put this book down! This is a sequel so I recommend reading the first book before you pick this one up. It will help fill in some of the missing information. I absolutely love the way Laurie Lewis develops her characters and plot lines. I mean by the end of the book, I wasn’t sure who to trust! I really felt a connection with Tallie and the way Lewis writes her and her story just absolutely pulls at your heartstrings. This book is so fast-paced that I had a hard time putting it down because I just wanted to know what happened next! I love the independence Tallie has and her take-charge attitude. Again, this is a fantastic story…the plot is something that isn’t too far-fetched and the way Lewis writes it is just phenomenal.

Amaleigha Loves a Good Story is about a sweet girl who always thinks of others. She is very observant and notices things that others don’t. When she finds something she enjoys she wants to make sure everyone else can enjoy it too, so she finds a way to make it happen. In this story, she wants everyone to share her love of books, but discovers that there are not very many books available for bilingual students. She comes up with a plan and gets the community involved in making changes, so that the library has books for everyone.
This is another sweet story that reminds us not only to think of others and be aware that not everyone is as fortunate, but also that we can help others and even little people can make big changes to make the world better for everyone. I definitely recommend this book.

Another really cute story about Amaleigha! For a 6 year old she has such a grown up head on her shoulders and she thinks of such wonderful ideas. I love how this book can encourage children to think about how to fundraise for different things and encourage communities working together. I loved that at the end of the story there is suggestions about how to build a community book box, something that I’m sure children would love to do and be a part of. The story is simple and easy to follow with beautiful illustrations.
