Titanian Warrior (Titanian Chronicles Book #3) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Angela Hayes

Titanian Warrior (Titanian Chronicles #3)Titanian Warrior by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

Titanian Warrior is the third book in the Titanian Chronicles by Victoria Saccenti. I know I keep saying this, but this really is such a fantastic series-and only seems to get better with each new instalment.
As expected, this is a wonderfully written paranormal romance with such rich and descriptive storytelling, and quite clever detailing, which really helps to bring the whole story to life.
Along with the other two books, this is an extremely intriguing fantasy-with action, adventure, good vs evil, supernatural beings, love, loss, a little mystery, drama, danger, tension, mythology, evil sorcerer/necromancer, magic, fate, and surprising developments. Again, Ms. Saccenti’s world building is both imaginative and well-constructed, and results in another richly vivid tale.
Although this could be read as a standalone, I don’t recommend it. So, if you haven’t read the other two books in this series, then I strongly suggest that you do before starting on this book- as knowing what has happened previously will definitely enhance your reading experience of this book, as well as the series as a whole.
Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Saccenti does next.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Victoria Saccenti!

Throwing the Curve (Playing for Keeps Book 2) by Lauren Fraser – Review by Christie Mitchum

Throwing the CurveThrowing the Curve by Lauren Fraser
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Throwing the Curve was a fantastic follow-up to the first book, Everything to Me, in Lauren Fraser’s Playing For Keeps series!!!

Peyton has found herself in quite a predicament. In one night she discovers the man she has been dating is married and now she seems to have a fake boyfriend, star pitcher, Ryan Graves. Thinking this will pass quickly, now others are drawn into the ruse, and it seems Ryan and Peyton find themselves in a fake relationship indefinitely. How can they make it believable when they can hardly stand the sight of one another?

As the two are forced to spend time with one another, they find themselves letting go of the preconceived notions they had of one another. Now, the relationship doesn’t seem so fake, and the lines are becoming much more blurry. I was a huge fan of Peyton’s from the beginning, and I soon became a fan of Ryan’s when I learned why he was so distrustful. However, he was far from perfect, and it was going to take a lot of work and pain to finally let the past go if he wanted to have a future that might actually give him his HEA!

While this was a great romance, Fraser touched on some darker topics involving not only some athletes’ treatment of women but of some men as well. Yet, she also showed her readers there are good men out there too who give women the respect and love they deserve. If you are looking for a spicy romance with some tender moments and deeper content, you need to give this book a try!

Straight for the Kill (Benoit and Dayne Mystery, #3)Straight for the Kill by Winter Austin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A complex and winding mystery that follows a third person POV. I read this as a stand alone but will be going back to read the first two in the series. It was an enjoyable read as we are taken back by the dead to a murder scene where three girls, each with different fate, had a story to tell.

A quick-witted read with plenty of suspense to keep you on your toes. Overall, a good read.

The cover art on this book gives you a good idea of what the story is about. Creepy ghost clowns mixed with teenage uncertainty make this story a page turner. The supernatural twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat! The author did well with the high school drama and wrote an incredible story. Happy reading!

I have loved this series so much! I really really enjoy the authors writing style and how they know what they are writing about. It is such a great story and is something I can see actually happening in reality one day. I definitely recommend reading the whole series and in order to best understand the story. This one is written from Sera and Caitlyn’s point of view on their adventures making new discoveries. I was up late reading this book as I did not want to put it down needing to know what happened next. There is action and new love along with more into the back story of the characters. This story took many unexpected turns. To say I am looking forward to the other stories is an understatement!

The Golden Garza (Red Cage, #4)The Golden Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My sunshine. The bringer of light in my dark, dark world.
Holy broody, dark, possessive, strong man, Batman. The Golden Garza gets all five stars from me. I truly enjoyed reading Tripp and Sunny’s story, his dark monster, and her warm sunshine. This can be read as a stand-alone as each story is an individual one but there are elements in each book that connect them and would make more sense if they were read in order. Each of these books thankfully has a happy, satisfying ending, and no cliffhangers! You will need to schedule a big chunk of time once you have started this book. I started The Golden Garza and lost and entire day because I just could not stop reading or pull myself away from it. Honestly, this is a wonderful, spicy book/series with a great storyline that will pull you in and not let go. Do yourself a favor and give this book and this series a chance!

Straight for the Kill (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 3) by Winter Austin – Review by Jamie Burns

Sheriff Benoit and Deputy Dayne are back at it investigating another crime in the book, Straight for The Kill (Benoit and Dayne Mystery #3) by Winter Austin. This is another wonderful mystery, crime, and suspense story that will have readers at the edge of their seats. I could not put this book down, and to be honest I ended up reading all three of the Benoit and Dayne Mystery books over this past week. This book has kept me guessing and wondering, who did it? Will they find the killer before there is another victim?

Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 2) by Winter Austin – Review by Jamie Burns

Hush, My Darling is the second book in the Benoit and Dayne Mystery series by Winter Austin. I flew through the first book in this series and could not wait to get my hands on the second book! Hush, My Darling did not disappoint! This book had me on the edge of my seat as I completed the investigation with Lila Dayne, the Deputy, and Sheriff Benoit. Two bodies that have similar features make for the possibility of a serial Killer. Will they catch the killer before he/she strikes again? Pick up a copy of Hush, My Darling to find out.

I will have to say that it has been a hot minute since I read a mystery/thriller book that has captivated my attention and immersed me so fully into the action. If you like mystery books, you will LOVE this book!

The True Garza (Red Cage Book 3)The True Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Didn’t you know?” “Love is madness.”
Once you start to read True Garza and get into Trueman and Londons story you will be immersed and unable to come up for air until you have devoured every last page. I can attest to feeling that way throughout the 24 hours it took me to read this, I just couldn’t stop! I appreciated the real life struggles that True suffered with because as someone who has also been given a diagnosis of ADHD it can be as debilitating and difficult to control as he describes in this book. It takes so much work all the time, being cognizant of what is expected of you, and to ‘try’ to be normal and not speak as Guy in this book states like “tripping over a bunch of wires.” I liked that this book was spicy but that wasn’t the sole focus, there was plenty to follow and love in the interesting storyline as well. This was a fabulous 5 star read and I loved it and the entire Red Cage series so far!

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. These two definitely turn up the heat in this book. Luke is very independent until something happens and she needs help. Nikolai plans to protect Luke and prove his love to her. The author does a great job with her writing, I was done before I knew it. I was very happy with how it ended and I look forward to reading more from this author. If you’re looking for a great steamy mafia read this is one you will enjoy. 1-click and get started today.

Lucky Stars by Fantasia Yu – Review by Jade Thomson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m a glutton for space, aliens, adventure, and romance. And this really fit the bill. My favorite character had to be Pola. She was just so funny and goofy. I had a hard time empathizing or relating to the FMC but to be fair she IS a princess that lives in outer space. (; I found her journey and the MMC to be so fun and filled with adventure. I ended up enjoying her character a lot more when she was gallivanting with the MMC. I really feel like (MMC) Darin helped break (FMC) Princess Mora out of her shell and helped her to grow from the beginning. Also- he’s so much better than her lame-o fiancée/betrothed. I am hopeful for another installment so the adventures can continue and I can see her develop more. This was a fun read from the author and my first by them! I’m excited they have a few more works I can consume and enjoy. Their writing style was fleshed out and enjoyable to read.

Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3 by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reading theJourneys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman for the first time although it’s not my usual cup of tea. I wanted to give it a try, the artwork on the cover really drew me in. I found I really enjoyed reading this book. The author James Talisman is a terrific storyteller and multi-world builder, really has an eye for details. I really like how it has a list of all the characters just in case you need to remember who’s who while reading. That way you don’t have to flip through the pages to find them.

Ps i love the dedication at the beginning it was super sweet pps i have always wanted to learn krav maga.

Coming back to continue reading the Journeys Through series and seeing what the amazing characters have in store for them and I was not disappointed. I’m glad to have started such a gripping series. I still can’t believe how he keeps you reading non stop, really captivates you. Also like i said before it’s truly amazing how good he is with the details, like keeping track of everything with the different characters lol i would have so many plot holes. I still don’t know which ones are my favorites yet. I would highly recommend reading.

Man, I just got done reading the third book of the Journeys Through series. No lie, I started and finished all three books in 3 days. It would have been done sooner if I could read faster. I thought it was going to take longer but these books are real page turners with in depth detail and intense adventures. I think my favorite characters might have to be the earthlings Matt and Julia. I also liked the author’s take on the Atlanteans. They have been a favorite of mine since reading about them years ago.I will highly recommend reading but buckle your seat belt, you’re in for a ride lol I can’t wait for more. Fingers crossed.

Bees in Loretta’s Bonnet (Loretta’s Insects) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Jamie Burns

Bees in Loretta’s Bonnet is another wonderful creation by Lois Wickstrom! This book has detailed illustrations and contains educational materials. Children can learn about bees, specifically leafcutter bees from this story. I would also show children a photo of a bee nest after reading this story. This can help children know that when they see the nest, they need to respect it because bees are inside it.

A great activity to do with your child would BEE to grow a garden and take photos to document different animals/insects that visit the garden to pollinate the flowers. Loretta and her father also make a home for the bees in the story, so this book lends itself to making a bee home.

I always enjoy Wickstrom’s books because they have educational value and are fun to read. Bees in Loretta’s Bonnet is a fantastic book for any curious child who loves insects and gardens.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I read some of the reviews before I read it- and I was worried about how dark the story would be- but it was really well written. I didn’t feel like it was dark for the sake of being dark (if that makes any sense?). It was for sure a more creepy, twisty, read than I normally consume but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The characters were very well developed and at times relatable. I had empathy for several of them. The authors writing style was vivid and captivating! Like other reviewers I kind of stumbled my way through the beginning but I’m really glad I gave this book a read. It kept me guessing and excited to continue reading! This was a fantastic start to my first book by this author and I’m eager to read even more! (:

These books brings out such interesting perspectives on different things. They draw you in in the very beginning and keep you going with a certain air of mystery. They can get a little overwhelming with all the different characters and information but by the end you understand and get who is who. There is strong characters and great content that make all of these books well worthwhile. It has a certain classic good vs evil theme and is very enlightening. They definitely make you think about things.

The story was super cute and easy to read- and the detail on the illustrations was wonderful. I loved the inside cover pattern- and the adorable cover art. Like Half-Pint, my daughter and I both hate to wait. She’s also very excited to go to big kid school too. I’m excited to read more from this author and to find more books with the same illustrator! This was such an easy read! I loved Rhia and her spitfire attitude. A little rough around the edges compared to her soft handed beau to be, Rhia has a lot of weight on her shoulders and tensions soar. At 16 she has to make some tough choices and decide where her loyalties truly lie. This book was sweet, and balanced perfectly to maximize its enjoyment. Another great read with Elizabeth and Lila on the case. Book three in the series and still going strong. I enjoy these novels so much, they are written with such a perfect balance where there is never too much information or details but also never not enough. I always enjoy cozying up and getting lost in a mystery and this one was a doozy. Nothing beats a lady-duo on the hunt for answers and someone to nail to the wall with it. I lost myself to this book until I was done and felt like i could breathe again! Another great, exciting read!

While this is book 3 in the series it could definitely be read as a stand alone. However I will state that this whole series is incredible. The characters are simply amazing and the plot of this third installation had me hooked from the beginning. The cover is absolutely beautiful, and the authors plot development and character development are amazing. But the mystery behind a cold case involving our lead characters best friend being murdered will have you on the edge of your seat. When you pick up this book you better make sure you have enough time to read it, because trust me you won’t want to put it down.

Kasper had me fuming mad in the beginning of this book so it was going to take some convincing on his part to win me over.
Krysta felt like someone I would want to be bff’s with as she was funny, foul mouthed and takes no crap and can defend herself.
These two won me over pretty quickly as they just melded together. Yes they had a past but who doesnt. And Kasper did finally win me over.

I really enjoyed this and now I want to read the first 2 for those stories. Can be read as a standalone. This author brought this story to life with these characters and they felt relatable and real.

What a compelling and hook to the beginning of the story! I’m just an avid reader and for me personally, it takes a bit for me to get hooked into the story itself but this one had me at page one. As the story details develop, the characters unveil their true intents, and the story line emerges, the story grapples its readers.
Troy, a 24 year old born and raised in a small town in Connecticut with a dysfunctional family setting. When a family tragedy occurs and he receives some unexpected news, Troy takes his anger and becomes vengeful. When a surprising truth is discovered about his family background, something must be done to change his future outcome.
With a psychology background, it is quite interesting in seeing the destructive pattern of negative, hateful atmosphere that engulfs those surrounded by its actions and it becomes a cycle. In order to break a cycle, drastic action and change is needed. Aside from those notions brought to light, this novel is amazing from start to finish!

A moment to leave the real you at the door and truly enjoy the pleasures of life with a stranger. So intense that it makes you feel what they are experiencing.
