Mary Bleckwehl is a Minnesota children’s author who has spent her career promoting literacy and the love of learning. She grew up in a big Iowa farm family with few books in her home but in school there were many! Me HATE To Wait! is her tenth book and introduces readers to the impatient piggy pirate, Half-Pint Porky. Other work: three award-winning picture books, five nonfiction books, and her middle grade debut.
