This was a really good book! This author usually writes paranormal fiction, so this was a surprise getting a contemporary book instead. I really enjoyed having this one set in a non-paramormal type setting! It was a fast paced novel, in a way that not a lot of details were missed out on. This author usually doesn’t disappoint and this book was no exception! I would love to see more books like this on the future!
This prequel was just what I needed. It had spice, mystery, and banter. The author gives us just enough information on the characters to keep you interested. The story was written very well and kept my attention. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the story and seeing what happens. I definitely have so many questions I look forward to getting the answers to.

Son of Asmodeus by Barb Jones. This is the first book in Heaven and Hell series and I really enjoyed it. Its the story of Demons, hell and angels. The story revolves around John Sullivan or Sully who is a demon hunter. He grew up with adoptive parents and he loved them dearly but when he turned 13 they sent him to a monastery for protection. Once he leaves the monastery he goes in to a bar and he meets a girl named Mick the bartender and she asks him for help in finding her friend. While he’s still trying to figure out what his destiny in life is he agrees to help her. While trying to find her friend he finds out he’s a lot more than just a demon hunter. On this journey he finds out his biological father is a Demon King and his biological mom is a archangel. Sully has people trying to kill him and people from the monastery trying to kidnap him. Will he be able to find Mick’s friend and will he survive the journey? Read this fast paced paranormal story to find out!

The Taste of Light (The Winemakers Book 2) by Giovanna Siniscalchi. This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first book. This is the story of Pedro and Anne who are in the first book a tiny bit. Pedro has had a hard life, growing up with a very abusive father and that has made him tough. When he meets Anne its not under the best of circumstances and they have to flee together. Anne is the total opposite of Pedro, she is fun and full of life and sees the good in everything and everyone. Will they be able to flee the false accusations against them and will they fall in love in the process. This book is a page turner and will leave you guessing up to the very end. It’s also very haunting. I felt like I was in the wine country of Portugal and the writing was so beautiful it takes to that time and place. If you love historical romances then pick this book up!

The Hawke family sure has their drama. This collection follows the lives of the Hawke siblings and their friends. This family regardless of their circumstances comes together in life, love, and friendship. They are guided by the eldest, Savage Hawke who runs dance clubs. Throughout the series of six novels, we learn about each of the characters, their flaws and their strengths. This collection is full of suspense and steamy romance. While I enjoyed the entire collection, Storm’s story, Building Storm was my favorite. For me, this story had the strongest plot and characters. I would recommend this book.
This is a short and steamy read, which is a prequel to a new series featuring the Hawke family. Billionaire heir attorney, Isaac Hawke has a two-night stand with a mystery redhead, the rules, “Two nights. No names. No expectations”. Having graduated law school, Isaac is now ready to join his family’s multi-billion-dollar business, but before he joins the Hawke empire he goes out to have one night to celebrate. Having met a beautiful woman at the bar, he takes ‘Jack’ back to his hotel room for the night, however, this turns into a weekend in bed with her. Having realised that a weekend is not enough with ‘Jack’, he says they should exchange real names in the morning, but when he wakes up ‘Jack’ is gone, and with no real name Isaac has no way of finding her. Meanwhile, the women turns out to be running away from her parents and her life, she just needed one night of freedom but knew it was too dangerous to stay. The chemistry between Isaac and ‘Jack’ literally sizzles off the page and leads to some extremely steamy scenes. This was an enjoyable and engaging read, which had me hooked. As a prequel the story sets up the new series really well, as it left me definitely wanting more, and left so many questions unanswered, especially the identity of ‘Jack’.

This is the second book by Naomi Valkyrie that I have read and once again really enjoyed her writing. It is a short story but doesn’t leave you feeling like you needed more. The characters are so easy to get attached to and it’s so realistic. I love how it’s an uncommonly talked about romance. Definitely a must read.
This is officially my first 5 star book of the year and the moment I saw this authors name I was in no doubt that it was going be! As usually the author has completely nailed it when it comes to incredible writing, amazing characters and a simply unputdownable book. I was hooked from the moment I started reading, just captivated by the story. I was right to leave myself enough time to finish the book in one sitting because I could not tear myself away from what was happening. If you haven’t yet discovered the author or this series then I would urge you to change that today. It is absolutely fantastic and this author is easily one of my favourites.

I have read many books by Maria DeBlassie and this one really spoke to me. It was nothing like I thought it was going to be, but was exactly I what I needed it to be. It felt like a self help type book that really makes you slow down and take care of yourself so you can see the magic in every day life. There are questions to reflect on and I’m really going to think about my answers to them. She was right when she said this book chose me. I’m glad I gave it a shot.

I know this was meant as a treat to those of us who are familiar with the Hawke family, but to me it was a giant tease but in the most pleasurable way.
I have loved this family since the first book with the first generation, and I have a feeling my love for them is only going to grow.
I don’t want to discuss specifics to avoid giving anything away but oh my do I want to talk about them. The pool game is definitely something that stood out.
I cannot wait until February for the series to officially kick off. If you are familiar with this series then definitely add this book to your TBR, if not please don’t waste anymore time and get started at the beginning so you’re ready for this Generation.

This is the start of the series about the second generation of the Hawke Family and I am so excited because it seems like its going to be just as amazing as the first series. This book is like a teasing glimpse into the story of Issac and Jack’s story and while it is full of hot steamy action and attraction there are definately secrets which need to be uncovered. Night Hawke is the prequel and the start to The Hawke Family Second Generation Series. I was so excited to see where Gwyn had taken us. It isn’t necessary to read the first generation The Hawke Family Series. It is one of my favourite series and let me tell you that you should start at the beginning. You will definitely not be disappointed even though it is a very, very short read. Just a teasing taste of what’s to come. Gwyn has never let me down and always produces page turners and Night Hawke is just as amazing as the others. It is intricately woven and are very well plotted out. The characters are well developed and hard not to fall in love with. The story is told in different POV’s letting you have more of an insight into these complex people. This Mafia romance tale has plenty to offer any reader, with suspense and tension, oozing chemistry and passion, action, adventure and much, much more. He’s a billionaire heir attorney and she is running from her life. Just one sexy and passion filled night. Or is it? No spoilers here you need to grab a copy and find out what happens for yourself because it is that good. Now I just have to wait anxiously for the next instalment.

OMG what a fantastic tease for what I am 100% positive is going to be an absolutely amazing series!!! I can’t wait to read more, so much so that I went and pre ordered the series start straight away!! The characters are fantastic with off the charts hot chemistry…what was to be one night turns into two and just when you start to think he definitely wants more she leaves! From the title, I expected the book to be more centred on paganism and although there was not a focus on pagan practices this book did not disappoint. I loved how the author is realistic in terms of acknowledging that change isn’t easy, whilst still being encouraging to those wishing to make such changes. I also enjoyed the style in which the book was written, it was very easy to absorb and didn’t feel too formal as other similar books have to me. The addition of the author’s own experiences throughout the book made the guidance given more relatable and easier to understand. This went a long way in showing me how I could also be successful in making my desired changes. Although the book references magic, you don’t have to believe in magic or be a practitioner to benefit from reading this book. It offers clear advice and strategies to appreciate the little things in life, take joy in what you do and making time for yourself. Overall, I found this book enlightening and even though I’d heard similar advice (and given it to others) a million times, I had never fully appreciated the impact it could have or felt deserving of such self-care until reading the way it was instructed in this book. The book was very motivational and I’ve already taken steps to make the recommended steps towards rediscovering what excites me in life and start looking after myself.

I’m going to start by saying this is an inspirational book not a book about paganism. In the beginning she states it’s not “hocus pocus it’s more like making soups.” Which sounds great but that’s all you get about paganism, nothing about herbs or crystals, which she mentions charging in the moon, but no other details. She also mentions the practice of saging but only if you’re not appropriating the culture. I wish she would have taken that opportunity to teach about smoke cleansing instead of making it about race. Near the end the author suggests using tarot cards but gives no information about using them. So, if you are wanting to learn about Paganism, look elsewhere. Who would I recommend this book to? People looking for inspiration to change their life. People looking to switch up their routine. I felt this would be a great “new year” book since that is when people make their goals. This is a great book to motivate you to make some goals. Although the author repeats herself many times, (try keeping track of how often she says to drink tea before bed) she has some good points. She encourages self-care and learning how to say no when needed. I liked that she said it’s not easy; I also really enjoyed the questions she asks throughout book. Such as: “What negative patterns am I holding on to? What joys could I replace them with? What am I afraid to embrace?” I think they are great questions to ask yourself and to keep as a reminder throughout the year.

Practically Pagan An Alternative Guide To Magical Living by Maria DeBlassie is a book I wouldn’t have thought to pick up and read – I’m not a practicing magic type of person. However, this book was quite surprising and I made tons of connections within it to my own life. A couple of quotes from the book that spoke to me: “Look for the beauty in the little things too often overlooked in our rush to get from one place to the next.” “The Divine Feminine is the nurturing and creative energy within all of us, regardless of our gener – she represents healthy sexuality and relationships…” This book is about the five major parts of everyday magic… “radical self-care, routine as ritual, pleasure magic, synchronicity, and exploring the energies of the un/expected.” It talks about tuning into yourself and your connection withe universe instead of manipulating things to get desired outcomes… to trust the path you are on is the correct path. As an educator, wife, mother, woman, the idea of self care and self love is so important. So be okay to find the quiet time to focus and practice listening to your mind, body and spirit.

I just finished this book… and I already want to read it again! The entire thing is magical. The way Maria DeBlassie writes is so beautiful, and so very relatable. I found myself in multiple passages throughout every page and every chapter. This book left me filled with hope and inspiration and a longing for more magic in my life – as well as ways to actually make that happen! I have already purchased two copies to give as gifts as well since it is THAT GOOD! Thank you for this beautiful work of art, Maria!

This is an amazing prequel. It was spicy right from the start of the book. This is such a quick read but it does not disappoint in any way. It gives you a little taste of what is to come in this new series but it definitely leaves you thirsty for more. This book will have you blushing and squirming in your seat. I couldn’t sit down through the whole book because I was so caught up in what was happening with the characters. This book is so well written that you feel like you are part of this whole group and what is happening in the book feels like it happening right in front of you. It is an amazing escape for a few hours (I’m a quick reader) and it will leave you wanting more. You do not have to read the first generations series in order to understand what is going to happen in this series. Sometimes I feel like authors say that but then you find yourself lost in the story line because you just don’t fully understand what is happening. That isn’t the case here. You truly don’t have to read the first generation. However, I have a feeling once you finish this book you will want to because it is that good. It will also help fill the time till the next book arrives.

Dorian and Augustine meet completely by chance when an assassin mistakenly makes one of them his unintended target. In the aftermath the two men try to work through what happened and unintentionally develop strong feelings for one another. Both Dorian and Augustine are happily married so they deny their attraction and decide they should part ways. Both men feel it is best if they never see each other again or they risk losing their wives and everything they have worked for.
Three years go by and both Dorian and Augustine have moved forward in their lives. Things are going great until both Dorian and Augustine’s wives meet each other by pure chance and become best friends. Their wives are anxious for their husbands to meet one another so that they can spend time together doing activities as a group. When Dorian and Augustine meet up again the attraction is as strong as ever and they must make a difficult decision that could forever alter the course of all of their lives.
I love everything by this author so naturally I picked this book up to read as well. I must say that it is a different genre than the others I have read by her. This was a bit of a romance with a different twist that I have not read about before. I found this book superbly written and could not put it down. The characters were relatable and lovable, and I found myself rooting for everything to work out for Dorian and Augustine. I also wanted their wives to be happy and for everything to work out for them as well. There was some tense moments, laughs, fun, suspense, and tears throughout the book that left me reading to the end and until I learned what became of both couples. Another amazing story by this super talented author!

This was a quick interesting read. Dorian and Augistine found love in the most unexpected way but neither can act as they are married. Little donthey know that fate will bring them back together but Dorian has another secret. Will their friendship and budding romance be able to survive all the obstacles. I really enjoyed this book and all the twists and turns. Endingnwas definitely thought provoking.
I loved reading this steamy romance story. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her writing style that makes her stories fast paced and entertaining. Her attention to details make her stories pop and hard to put down. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is a prequel to A Second Generation Hawke Family series. The characters pull you in from the start. They have great chemistry and growth throughout. They will show you what happens when the unexpected happens and a two night stand is not enough, you need more. This is a story that I found hard to put down, it is that engaging and entertaining. A story that is easy to fall for the characters which make the story easy to read and come back for more. You don’t want to miss this one for sure. I highly recommend this must read story and this great author.

The book is short and it’s very descriptive mainly because it’s a setup for the books to come. The story premise is good and enjoyable, although somewhat slow. Since this is a prequel that is understandable.
I feel like it is definitely good and makes the reader very interested in continuing into the series.

I have enjoyed listening to this series from the start. This is a series that I highly suggest listening from the beginning as they build on one another. It will help you enjoy this series,and the characters The narrator brings the story to life with are different tones they use. They made the characters feel real and had me coming back for more. This is not my first audio but it is one of my favorites. Dahlia finds herself in a race against time and dealing with the dragon inside that is itching to get out. This is a fast paced story that is entertaining and easy to listen to. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Jasmine is running her own business but working all the hours to make it successful, but she has one fly in the ointment which her business partner.
One morning turn her world in a turn, a random stranger coming up to her and rocking her world, the only trouble is that the stranger is the man who is marrying her best friend and business partner, Cadence. As Jasmine is planning the wedding she starts to fall harder for James and sees the nasty side to her so called best friend, but when she learns the reason around the wedding things start to change with Jasmine.
This is a lovely easy read story with a feel good feelings with a happy ending for the main characters. I loved the character of Jasmine she is a loving and a brilliant boss but I did feel she let Cadence use her for longer than she should have, as with her feisty nature did not quite sit well with the character.
Although the progression of the character of James was brilliant to read I would have liked to have seen a bit more of his history and the deal with him and his parents. I think the flow of the story was brilliant but it needed to be longer. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters of Jasmine and James and glad they found the way to each other in the end.
I would love to read more from this author in the future.

Contemporary blind date romance A well written great fun read. Abi and Finn are adorable. A relationship formed from convenience it was amazing to watch their connection unfold. But Finn has some issues from his past that he needs to deal with and Abi needs to work out her priorities. Told in dual POV this is Book 2 in the Kings of Screen series and even though each book is written as a stand-alone I love how there are characters that appear across each of the books. I am keen to see how the rest of the series develops.
