Caim is the fourth installment in the Antipodes Series and this book seems even darker than some of the other books. Cam and Freyja must embark on yet another journey outside the safety of their dome on Lewis. Simons explores the nature of family, love, heartache, loss, and connection. Caim has the same realistic, lovable characters that I have come to feel connected with from the first three books. Having followed their journey from young adults thrust into a tough situation to the dynamic adults they have become, I am now invested in their survival and happiness. T. S. Simons is great at using descriptive language so the reader feels what the characters feel, the suspense, guilt, sadness, anger, happiness, etc. I can’t wait to read the fifth book!
