Loretta is gazing out her window and sees a ton of butterflies on the milkweed plants. The next day they are gone and she makes another discovery that has Loretta is learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.

I really enjoy this series. Loretta is an inquisitive little girl who pays attention to natures gifts. This story focuses on the challenges of a butterflies life from egg to caterpillar to butterfly. I learned some new things and I think kids would be really curious about and eager to find their own butteflies.
