Good story with multiple POV and time perspectives that is full of suspense and thrill. It takes a hot second to get adjusted to how this story is delivered, but constitutes swiftly once you get your footing. Shocking secrets and the turns of this story take both the characters and the reader through enough to warrant a much needed breath after. Overall, good read with a fast and sharp read.

The second book developes the story line further and we begin to see just what kind of world it is. The characters still have the chemistry and that also adds to the story. I like how the author begins to create the world even further and brings the reader into it.
There are beginning to have more twists and turns as the story progresses. The author does a wonderful job of creating a very colorfull world and characters. There is also a undertone of the story base and I this really had me not wanting to put this book down. I began to get a clearer thought process of this series. I really look forward to the next one.

I have to say I like to find new authors and I enjoy finding series that are not always in my go to genre. I do like the romance element of this series and the whole setting of the series really was well written and I for one felt as though I was right in the midst of it. I have not really read a lot of dystopian books but I was drawn into this one.
I like how the author builds the characters and how the story is carried out. The chemistry between what becomes the lead characters really adds to the story. The author does a great job of balancing the drama and the romance. The author does a great job of building the characters and showing why they are how they are. I thought that this first book was an excellent start to the series and I couldn’t wait to get to the next one.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around Chatroom With A View. I thought I was reading one story the whole time and then the ending made me question it all. When an author can make you second guess what happened and what didn’t, I feel like that makes them pretty good at what they do! I enjoyed this book. I was intrigued till the very end. I would recommend it to anyone I know that likes a psychological thriller. This book is comparable to You and the movie Identity. If having that knowledge intrigues you, I say you should check it out. There’s also a lot that could be a trigger for someone so I recommend tread lightly, but don’t let it stop you! Troy leads a normal life for someone who comes from an abusive household. But what happens when that abuse goes too far? What happens when you can’t protect anyone but yourself? That’s exactly what happens to him, which causes him to spiral. Getting himself stuck in situations that he has no idea how to get out of. Ones he never intended to be in. On top of that he has his crazy ex Veronica trying to force herself into his life. He knows she’s mentally unstable but to protect himself and others he sometimes needs to play along. Will he manage to escape the chaos that he’s caused? Can he escape Veronica as well? So many questions, but they all have answers. While the author has you twisting and turning as you go, every question you think of definitely has an answer. Or does it? You are just going to have to dive in to find out!

Antipodes is an amazing start to the series! The beginning gives you a sense of normality before the apparent problem of the water supply appears. It reminded me of COVID-19 when the first outbreak happened; I didn’t believe it would affect the United States, and I wasn’t worried about it until it hit close to home. In the beginning, Cam is the same way he doesn’t believe that it would be able to hit Australia. When the government sends out a text for testing, he ends up getting his ticket to an island to live in a safe new community with 300 strangers. It was an extremely challenging decision to leave his family and friends behind and there are many topics touched on including survivors’ guilt. I found the premise to be believable and the setup of the island detailed enough, including the issue of being completely self-sustaining. I was able to put myself in Cam’s shoes easily and it make me think about how I could potentially survive.
I didn’t think the book could get any better at this point but when his world turns upside down it changes everything. It sends him into an even greater adventure in this new post-apocalyptic world. The ending is amazing but felt a little rushed. The next book, The Liminal Space fills in all the missing details nicely.

What a great story! I felt at ease with these 2 as they were domesticating very fast for a little girl but also learning each other and fighting the attraction. This didn’t go the way I thought it would but it went the way it should have in the end. I really loved this book as I was able to dive in and immerse myself easily.

This is the first book in the Protector Wolf Series and i can’t wait to read more. The author has a great mixture of paranormal adventure and danger as well as a forbidden romance which gets your heart and pulse racing. I’m a huge fan of books about shifters and vampires so I was sold right from the beginning.
Tamaska is human. Her only goal in life is to succeed at what she does enough to set up her own business as an event planner. She has no idea about the dangers or supernatural beings that live alongside her. That is until one that that was supposed to change her life in a good way ends up changing it in a way she never imagined.
She hires some people to protect the rare gem she is auctioning off the Blood Opal. What she doesn’t realise is the people she hired are shifters. She immediately has a distrust for the leader Kodiak but she doesn’t know why. When the jewel goes missing she thinks it was him but how wrong she is. Kodiak hates humans. Can’t stand them. The only reason he took this job is to earn money to provide for his pack. So what happens when he starts reacting to a female human in a way that makes him want to protect her? Why is he getting these feelings towards her and what does it mean? When he goes to her aid and takes his eye off the thing he was suppose to be protecting they now have to work together to find and reclaim the missing item. Who stole the Opal? Why do they want it? Can Kodiak and Tamaska trust each other to work together? And what is the strange feelings that keep bubbling up between then despite both of them trying to ignore and deny them?
I loved this gripping story and can’t wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.

Shore Lodge is the first book I’ve ever read by this author but I will definitely be reading more. I read this book pretty quickly because I needed to know what was going to happen to Jackie. I kept setting myself up for a particular twist to happen because I couldn’t believe children could be that cruel to a parent. That being said, this book definitely had characters you love to hate. Overall, I really did enjoy the book. I felt that Jackie was an excellent main character and she was most definitely underestimated more than once. If you like books that keep you on edge and quicken your pulse, definitely give Shore Lodge a go.

This was not my usual read but it definitely held my interest and took me by surprise! Troy has never fit in and now that he is an adult this has not changed. He still lives at home with his parents and works at a diner. When things take an unexpected turn one day after work he is not sure which path to take. He soon finds himself even deeper when Veronica tells him she is pregnant. Troy decides to take matters into his own hands with his past and future things really get interesting. There is a point in the book where I was blown away by a revelation that I was not expecting! This was definitely a good read and I am glad I picked it up!

This story keeps you reading by being on the brink of finding out what is so important about Tamaska. A good story with good r rated scenes. The cliffhanger at the end begs you to get the next book to keep reading the series, which is what I plan to do.

Undoubtedly, Shore Lodge by Susan Specht Oram is one of the greatest Psychological Thriller novels I have read in a very long time. I was overwhelmed with intense feelings – my heart racing, my body tense, waiting to see what would happen next. The protagonist, Jacklyn Stone, tragically loses her husband and finds that he has left her with a mountain of debt, unable to liquidate their business. Her children then take her to a retreat that poses a great threat to her, leaving Jacklyn with the task of tapping into her inner courage to retake her life and go home. Filled with gripping twists and turns, this thriller will have readers contemplating how they would fare in such a similar predicament.

Caim is set in a few years later timeframe from the third book. This book flows pretty easily just like the others. I love how the characters support each other like an extended family. I especially like how the characters are interwoven with each other, and how their experiences relate to other characters. Some of the events in this book are unexpected but makes for a really intense read.
This was a great 5 star read. This author has become a must read for me. I really liked Zoey, she was a strong character that went through some tough times. The fact that she was running her own MC with all women was great. When she meets Panther they connect on many levels and give us a heck of a story. I really liked all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. We get edge of your seat moments along with some steamy ones.The author pulls you right in with her writing. Shadow Wolf is the first book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series by Lilliana Rose. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Rose, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But, in all honesty, she had me at shifters and vampires- the rest was just going to be icing on the cake for me. This is a captivating paranormal romance with shifters, vampires, a precious gem called the ‘Blood Opal’, a forbidden love element, action, adventure, danger, drama, chemistry, tension, intrigue, mystery, and more. I did enjoy Tamaska and Kodiak’s story, although there were times that they frustrated me to death. I really wanted to shake them at these points and tell them to get their act/s together. The story was intriguing with plenty of suspenseful/mysterious elements that kept me turning the pages to find out what was going on. But the story ended before all the threads were tied up- and I didn’t get all the answers/developments that I was hoping for- so I imagine that the story is set to continue in the next instalment (hopefully). This was another wild, edge of your seat thrill ride from the Devils Handmaidens Motorcycle Club series. This series is a viewpoint from an all female motorcycle club rather than the typical all male motorcycle club, which I love as well, but I thought this take was refreshing. After enjoying book number one I became a little attached to Shadow (Zoey) and was incredibly excited that she would be featured in book two and we would get to hear a lot more of her story. This book was all that and more. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of Panther and the Navajo aspect that he brought to the story along with his own troubles he was working through. I will absolutely be continuing with this series and this author.
Sam moves to California hoping to start her acting career. Her interview for an agent doesn’t go well. She ends up applying for a job in a cafe. Luckily she gets hired on the spot. Boss warns her to be early or on time never late. She tries to turn her coworker Michael down gently. Corey she meets and it’s instant attraction.
The novel starts out with an emotional beginning and then we are in NM as our character moves to Los Angeles. There are unexpected developments, which is what kept me turning the pages to find out how it played out in the end. This is a gripping read. That will keep you on the edge of your seat! This novel plot is excellent in the way if you don’t know who to trust, who to believe, who is the architect, and who is taken for a ride!

I was so excited to be able to read book two in this exciting and riveting series about witches and wizards and magic going hay wired. The author has done an amazing job of bring magic into the real world while still keeping their worlds separate. I thought the author did a great job of continuing the growth and development of the characters, especially Wilf, Katryna, and Myra. The story absolutely took multiple twists and turns as the characters are in a race to save their worlds and each other. I couldn’t put the story down until the final page. I can’t wait to see how the story finally ends in the third trilogy.

If you’ve been authoring for a while, this book will mostly be a refresher for you. A lot of the things mentioned are things prominent in author advice circles, so you hear them often. I think this book would be an excellent resource for aspiring or brand-new authors.
I liked the fact that there is a mix of traditional and indie representation. I also appreciated the book including advice from women’s perspectives, mentions of being an author while parenting, and BIPOC representation.
One thing that was disappointing about the book is that out of 100 authors contributing, there was only one brief sentence that mentioned OCD tendencies, and one brief paragraph mentioning ADHD in a general sense. There was hardly any neurodivergent representation at all. As a person with multiple neurodivergences, I think navigating the neurodivergent way of doing things has been one of my biggest challenges as an author. I’ve learned a lot of things the hard way because there truly isn’t much advice out there for neurodivergent authors. Most advice I’ve heard is geared toward neurotypical brain styles.

This is the second installment of Devil’s Handmaids MC and I have to tell you that D.M. Earl did it again. This book could stand alone but you really need to read the first one to get the feeling of the characters. Even though this book focuses on Shadow and her issues with the pedophile ring. She is the enforcer at the club and gives you more insight on Shadow. I can’t wait to keep reading this series to see what happens next.
When I decided to read this book, I somehow missed that it is the last book in a series. To be honest, this book really hooked me in and I had a hard time trying to do work when all I wanted was to keep reading. Even though the book is part of a series, I had no problem keeping up with the many characters.
Noah Pierce seemed rude but as you read the book not only do you warm up to him but you start seeing his true self. Amy, the nanny, has issues of her own that really surface in the book, and the author wrote it with such open mindedness that I really liked. And we can’t forget baby Amelia – what a sweet baby.
The characters in the book are relatable. I throughly enjoyed the way this author described scenes and emotions coming from the characters. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. I plan to read the rest of the series. I’m sure I will love them all.

Tamaska is a bright event planner about to have her big break when she holds an event to auction off the Blood opal… but it’s not just the humans who are interested in it Kodiak is a shifter and a good one, looking soon to challenge and take an Alpha role but still proving himself for the moment takes on the job protecting the Blood opal as security gig to make money and blend in with the humans. Tamaska and Kodiak are pure fire when they come together but thats the only part that makes sense. There are clearly many secrets being kept from everyone and no one has the whole story. This is a great series starter. I’m very interested to find out what Tamaskas history is I am sure there is a lot more than meets the eye with every one of these characters

This the first time reading D.M. Earl and this author knocked it out of the park with this one. I really enjoyed reading this one. I am looking forward to reading Shadow next. This book has a lot of action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Tink is trying to stop the human trafficking rings and helping the ones who need it. If you like girls as the head of a biker club, then you will love this series. I can’t wait to keep reading.
Wild Lavender by Nicole E. Kelleher is the first installment to the Aurelian Guard fantasy romance series. Lady Aubrianne (Anna) is arranged to marry Lord Roger not long after meeting and while she tries to fulfill the role, it’s apparent she’d rather be left to her own thoughts with her horses that she raises than be in his company. His cruel nature eventually surfaces, and Anna realizes that he is not the man she’d hoped he would be. But Anna is a strong woman and is not going to let his treatment of her and Lord Roger’s people break her. But then Larkin, a man she had met during an interesting encounter only a couple of years prior and not seen again, is hired to do detective work on Roger. He has had Anna in the back of his mind ever since, but will she be found to be tied to the evilness of her husband?
This story was immaculately written, whirling with secrets and romance in a medieval setting. The author paints such a vivid picture for the readers without becoming monotonous and the plot builds at what I thought to be a perfect pace. It was very easy to get lost in the pages and difficult to put down. I am very intrigued to read the next installment and see what comes next.

I can’t believe we are halfway there with book 6 in this epic and explosive and deliciously dark Vampire Romance Masters of the Consulate series. And Master Calabrea what a master he is……. He can put his shoes under my bed any time he likes. This series just keeps on getting better and better with each book. Masters of the Consulate is one of my absolute favourite epic series. I love the dark tantalising stories that Sylvia writes so well. The stakes are high in this delectable tale in the harsh and savage underworld. Where traitorous vampires, witches, and shifters want to rid the world of purebloods. Where it is full of suspense and intensity, unbound danger but is also steaming hot when the flames are sparking. Where there is greed and revenge, secret agendas, politics and so much more.
With sexy but vicious vampires, psychics, and other paranormal beings you cannot put this book down. You need to discover this dark sensually wicked world all for yourself.
I can’t wait for book 7. Bring it on.
I highly recommend reading the first book in the series and working your way through. You are going to love them.

Her world hides this harsh reality that few ever learn about. Kodiak is a wolf shifter was hired for protection to work alongside a human. Humans he detests. It is jam packed with danger, action, suspense and tension. Shadow has lived in a nightmare. A life that no one should have ever be a part of. A young girl caught in the clutches of evil.
